Cloaked in a long black hood, the ageless child appears to be a youthful genin with untamed, black hair. However, the opposite is true. Hidden underneath that black cloak is a strong body with a few scares. The ageless child is in fact an adult in his late twenties and his hair is actually purposefully messy. He keeps himself looking youthful by taking care of his skin, although his genes have provided him with a wonderful complexion from his parents. From his parents he also received his blue eyes through recessive genes that date back through the family. His preference on wearing the black cloak are stemmed from his father as the fashion sense was passed down. He didn't know his father very well but looked up to him nonetheless. The ageless child wanted to get close and the only way that his father responded was when his son was dressed just like him. At that time, little did the ageless child know just how much his father did pay attention. Now that his father has left the world he's inherited the wardrobe.
Personality Description:
The ageless child isn't known for a distinctive personality according to his reputation. In a ninja world this is beneficial to maintaining secrecy and to keep new enemies guessing. The ageless child does in fact have a personality. However, he has had a lot of growth throughout time.
As a child he was happy, energetic, and very much passionate about sitting in the soft sunlight of the open sky. He was a boy without a care for revenge, justice, or duty. He once let his ideas become his reality in the form of dreams as most children did at his age. His mother was a strong advocate of those dreams. She often encouraged him to make them real and go forth in life with a dream to change the world. But unlike the mother, the father found it difficult to relate to his son. He distanced himself emotionally for a long time "as he didn't want to spoil his son's childhood with serious matters" his mother once explained.
The ageless child was enrolled in the ninja academy along with a few close friends. The transition from child to student was a difficult one for him. However, his lineage within the Senju Clan portrayed the transition as something that should have gone smoother. His father tried getting closer by teaching him practical knowledge. The son had no idea what to do with that knowledge and let it all go through his ears most of the time. Occasionally he'd pick up on useful things such as chakra and also some things about the clan's ninjutsu. But the ageless child wasn't open to his father's advice. He viewed it as a form of torture from his father.
Later when graduation time was close, the ageless child showed his aptitude for his kekkei genkai. This was mainly caused by the death of his mother. It was a shock to him as her death represented his childhood dreams dissolving into memories. He became more robotic and hid his emotions under training. His father was also hurt by her death but it was to be expected of ninja to pass away at some point in life.
Without someone encouraging him to follow his dreams the ageless child lost the sense of wonder he once had. The world became dull even with the achievement ranking up to genin. His first encounter with his team was not an ideal meeting. The upbeat attitude of another genin was on par with maddening. Had it been any other team the ageless child might have seen more light in the world. But unfortunately it was in spite of the extreme cheerfulness of his comrade that the ageless child pushed himself further away from sharing the small bits of his life that were worth living.
As time flew by he didn't appear to age much at all. His mind was stuck within the clouds of another world he quietly imagined. His age seemed to stagnate with it and so he earned the nickname from the third comrade of his squad. Although he didn't care for nicknames at all he'd introduce himself with the title. This too was in spite of the other comrade who said it was "to immature for someone so boring." Boring being indeed a good way to describe him out the outside. He didn't enjoy their presence and longed for one more day to live as a child.
Later when the ageless child was a chunin, he tried getting closer to his father. This was an unexpected turn for him as the desire was instigated by a comrade. The same comrade who he could not stand also had issues with family and preferred to keep away from his father. The young Senju did not want to be anything like him as he really could not stand his squad mate. Sure teamwork was necessary but at every opportunity, the ageless child was stubborn, inflexible, and closed from that member of the team.
In attempting to get close to his father, the ageless child did his best imitation. This was really a show for how "close" he was with his father as to get his team mate pissed off. However, it went a little differently. In pretending to be close he found himself actually wanting to get closer. Unfortunately it wasn't until several years later during his father's hospitalization that the two of them had a real heart to heart. The ageless child inherited the will of fire then, learning that the village full of people was more important than a pathetic, passive aggressive, grudge.
His attitude was different from there. He didn't care about what his team mate said or did to antagonize him. He began thinking about the bigger picture of things and changed his focus from hiding the imagined world he lived in to making the world around him much more bearable. People noticed a change in him. He wasn't anti-social and actually participated in conversations as well as voice his opinion on things. He came to a cease-passive-aggressive-fire with his team mate and the two bonded in their own way of tolerating each other's bull.
His father died but this time he was ready to say goodbye. He knew how to continue his father's legacy and also uphold the will of fire. The ageless child still looked young but he's wisdom had grown from the burgeoning of bonding with his father. Like a growth spurt, the surface personality dramatically shifted from closed to warm. Although many thought that his whole personality changed the warmth of his heart was just too small to see before.
TL:DR Nobuyuki was a very introverted person but as he grew closer to his father he because much more open minded to the world. He changed from repressing his expressive side to expressing repressed thoughts and feelings.
Likes: Writing, thinking about possible futures, helping people to learn more about themselves.
Dislikes: Bigots, arrogance, ignorance.
Catch Phrases:
Former introduction phrase: "Call me what you'd like. I don't give a damn either way. Just know I'm on a mission."
Nindo:
A shinobi is not his death or his birth. A shinobi is the legacy he leaves for others to follow. A shinobi must be: a root to uphold, a trunk to stand high, or branch to carry the leaves and the seeds. All are important to the whole tree.

History:
- Spoiler:
Nobuyuki was born in the Senju Clan to Nobu Senju and Yuki Wakari. The child was named after his parents as they'd both been unable to come up with a better name. The bright eyed boy was in fact an equal share of both parents. In his young childhood he was very stubborn like his father but also very friendly like his mother. It made for an odd combination of a personality but eventually he'd be ironed out by growing up. The expectation of his father was passed onto him when he was old enough to show signs of the lineage, an ability to manipulate chakra early on as did his father. He didn't which was a let down.
Since he did not show natural signs of being a protege, Nobuyuki was put into the academy with children his age. He was very close to a few but in that time he'd grown apart from them, even losing a few friends who were held back by inability or laziness. But it was toward the end of his time in the academy when Nobuyuki became stronger. He was able to learn clan jutsu from his father because he wanted to blur out the pain of his mother's death. Needless to say he passed the graduation exam with a high score (although had he practiced the whole year he could have gotten top marks.)
Newly graduated, Nobuyuki was put into a team with two other fresh genin. He barely knew one of them but as for the other, no that genin was unbearable to Nobuyuki. He couldn't stand him at all and desperately tried many things to ignore him, get him to leave him alone, and get to sick on spoiled food to show up for training.
Those many attempts escalated into full blown showdowns between the two. Their sensei drilled team work into them for that but it wasn't anywhere near as good as what the teacher hoped. Their first few missions as a squad were disastrous. Some were caused by complete failures to cooperate while others were caused by various quirks of each pupil.
The chuunin exams were getting close and the two of the three genin were hoping to enter. However, Nobuyuki was not. He already knew about the danger as well as huge chance of death. The young senju scared the others into believing it was a deathtrap. Although it was a joke, the sensei did not think it was going to help them prepare for future dangers aside from the chuunin exam. They skipped it and instead went on a mission that was a lot more difficult than any before.
Their sensei had them believing that if they didn't work together that they'd all die. It was good practice as Nobuyuki and his squad were under a lot of pressure to work more efficiently. In this mission they were tasked with keeping an artifact safe from the hands of bandits. The mission almost failed as the bandits were able to utilize their own form of teamwork. It was the sqaud's sensei who was able to re-secure the artifact in the end. Howewver, Nobuyuki was able to overcome a few of his stubborn habits and work with his team mates to fight with each other and cover weak points. The mission was completed and the sensei got his pupils to actually work together, which lead to a one night celebration of a free bowl of food. Akamichi-Sensei had an apatite like no other so everything was celebrated that way.
After three easy missions, the team was dubbed, "worthy" for the exams. The exams weren't for a while but having the shit scared out of them from their first life or death mission, they wanted to really train themselves for the exam. Their teacher was able to give them a few hints about things to come but wasn't allowed to give away the secrets of the exam. He'd actually forgotten about his own experiences in his chunin exams but he kept that a secret. During the time it took for the exams to come the three were confident in passing the exam.
During the exam, Nobuyuki's father was diagnosed with a disease that formed around his nerves in the deeper part of his brain. Because it was so far deep there was no way to operate without serious risk of failure. The father kept his condition a secret from his son. It would eventually degenerate his ability to use his limbs. Each passing month would be a step closer to complete paralysis.
The three of genin were promoted to chunin. Surviving the forest of death proved easy for the Senju but not many of the competing teams as there was a lot of bloodshed within the three nights in the forest. The preliminary rounds were all it took to decide the chunin exam. The exhausted batch of genin only had a few tricks left. Proving their worth individually, the three genin were showed talents in strategy, leadership, and the thin bond of teamwork.
Impressed by all three of them becoming chunin, their sensei decided it was time to take them on dangerous missions like before. But the promotion of chunin had been a mistake for one of the team members. He was troubled by conflict with his father and lost the attributes that allowed him to become a chunin. Nobuyuki had a little sympathy for his team mate but quickly rebuked it as the two of them had a bad argument over family. The young senju decided he didn't want to be like his team mate so he got close to his father. He didn't expect to really take the relationship anywhere by by trying to get close out of spite he grew the desire to bond with his father.
After their heart to heart, Nobuyuki learned of his father's illness. He couldn't accept it at first. He didn't like the thought of losing another parent. But his father passed on the will of fire. Nobuyuki took it to heart and changed himself for the better. Instead of focusing on the problems with his team he focused on the greater whole instead. He inspired his team mate to be a better shinobi. The two of them learned to tolerate one another, just enough for missions.
Before his father died in the hospital, Nobuyuki was promoted to jounin by the Hokage for outstanding performances in missions as of recent. The good news came at a time of badness as that trend seemed to happen with him. He rushed to the hospital to say goodbye to his father. This time he'd was able to have closure. The death of his last parent didn't hit him like with his mother but he actually mourned for his father instead of trying to keep it in.
Since he was an adult with his own responsibilities, he had a life to live beyond morning for people in his life. Years passed and yet his title still fit as the Ageless child. Already twenty-seven and having completed countless missions, he was still young looking. Perhaps he'd inherited a little more than jutsu. Perhaps his father had left him the life he could not live out.

The jounin hovered over the ruled paper of his small notebook. A pencil in one hand waved back a forth for a second until he scribbled a thought down. Sure it was easy to write but it was not easy to write about memories lived long ago. Memories of dreams and hopes were hidden deep inside, many forgotten but a few remained for Nobuyuki to jot down. He had not even filled the first page in the notebook. The emptiness under his written words was like his recollection of his early childhood. The more he wrote the more his past was covered up by the shadows of something in the way of his mind's eye.
Damn. I thought I remembered it. I could have sworn it was there. Nobuyuki closed the notebook in his frustration. The spiral of the binding was the perfect sheath for the pencil so he kept it there as to not lose it in his pocket where it could separate from the notebook. It might also poke wholes in his pocket if he wasn't careful. It'd happened before with a kunai and that trail of money leading around konoha was a bit embarrassing to clean up. Long thought short, pencil in the notebook's spiral.
His hand slipped the notebook into a fold hugging his ribs. He had a few other places to hide things within the cloak. He'd made a few impromptu pockets this way. One never could have enough pockets while heading out of the village. They had so many uses for keeping things. A bit of dust to flick in someone's eyes, a little bit of string to tie a ripped piece of cloth, or even hold spare change when the wallet wasn't good enough. The shinobi found each of those possible things to be useful even though he had yet to actually utilize those ideas. Nobuyuki would be what one would call, a pocket horder.
He'd ruined a few pieces of clothing before, in attempt to sow on pockets. His needle-working skills were not on par with that. He managed to pull out several strings while working with the cloth material. Some jounin he was for screwing up something so simple! In his own defense, he trained himself for the skills he did need. Sowing wasn't one of them, its not like he was a surgeon operating on an open flesh wound. He hadn't gotten those recently, in fact the last open flesh would he received was from three years ago. After realizing this he remembered getting a good few scares on his chest and arms. Those were from fighting a great deal of sword wielding foes. What was it with bandits and swords? Was it for compensating smaller things or was the thought of having a blade too awesome to resist -despite many bandits lacking real skill with their choice weapons.
The jounin pulled out a separate notebook from his person. In this one he filled with questions such as that. He wrote in a messy scribble, "bandits, swords, why?" He placed the notebook back where he stored it then decided it was time to prepare. Missions, briefings, training, the usual was all he had planned for the day. Perhaps he'd have something else interesting to do. The only way for him to find out was to get ready and go.
