Fireworks in need Mission:

Takeo had just devoured a bowl of ramen and was grinning like a child from such a delicious meal. He gave a hearty burp and chuckled at his immaturity. As he walked through the many stalls there was one that caught his eye specifically,

"Oh my gosh ice cream!" Takeo yelled in delight at the sight of the ice cream stall. He rushed over and slammed a few ryo onto the counter. "Your biggest cone please." Takeo asked politely with a giant grin on his face. After watching the ice cream being placed in the cone scoop by scoop and drooling slightly Takeo had finally gotten his cone. Takeo snatched the mammoth sized cone, filled to to the brim with ice cream. He stared at it with adoring eyes and idolised the sugary sweet. But this didn't last for long as Takeo tripped upon his own two feet, the cone flying away from his grasp and landing on the head of a passerby.

"I didn't even get to lick it once." Takeo grumbled in disappointment, his head in the dirt.

Takeo lay on the ground grumbling about how ruined his delicious ice cream cone was. He continued to keep his face in the dirt, not wanting to face the man or woman it had landed on or the crowd that had formed around them all. Takeo could feel their judging eyes dig into the back of his head. Takeo was about to finally face the music and apologise but was interrupted by a young chunnin.

"Someone call a medic, he's allergic to. . .Chocolate! Someone quickly alert a medic!" Those were the last words Takeo wanted to hear but he wasn't too surprised at the chances of him covering a man in chocolate ice cream which he would be allergic too. He stood up and ran over to the teen with a look of panic and shock all over his face.

"Oh god I'm so sorry I fell and...is...is there anything I can do to help? I swear I didn't mean it, I didn't know!" Takeo stuttered with a clearly panicked voice. He grabbed the ice cream cone from the teens head and threw it to the side. He wiped the chocolate from the teens face even with the consequence of sticky hands he didn't much care right now, there were worse things to worry about. After clearing most of the teens face Takeo noticed his skin seemed fine, he expected a rash to have formed to such a large amount of chocolate.

"Um wouldn't he have a rash from all of that chocolate landing on his face?" Takeo asked the chunnin with a confused voice. He glanced back at the ice cream cone, he was amazed that such a large object had made it so high into the sky.

Takeo's eyes widened in horror as the teens body slowly turned into a gooey liquid. The realisation that he killed a man with ice cream sunk in. Although it sounded funny Takeo was too busy watching a man melt from an allergic reaction! Even when some of the liquid splashed onto his face Takeo was frozen in shock. His heart was pounding, his throat went dry as he felt his lip tremble and his eyes well up. He thought about if he didn't trip, none of this would be happening or if he just never bought the ice cream. Takeo wished he could go back in time and change his actions as the teen shared his last words with the chunnin as he continued to melt.

When the chunnin yelled at him Takeo simply stuttered nonsense, still processing the situation as well as trying not to cry for killing an innocent man at the festival of peace. Takeo went onTo his knees to get closer to the teen as he continued to talk with his last breath. Takeo glanced up and noticed everyone looking at him and specifically his insignia that represented Konoha. Finally the first few tears rolled down his cheeks at the realisation that he let Konoha down, making people think they kill innocent shinobi and giving of the worse image ever.

"I'm so so sorry" Takeo sobbed as he held the teens hand on his shoulder. Then all of a sudden the last of the teens body completely turned into liquid. Takeo completely lost it at this point. His arms flailed in anger at himself, tears streamed down his checks and he continued to say sorry even though he knew it wouldn't bring the teen back.

Takeo tried his best to wipe away the many tears running down his face. He wanted to stay calm and collected but it was hard to do so when you witness a man melt in front of you and die. Takeo was making an attempt to speak to apologise for the hundredth time but he stopped his garbled stuttering when he heard a chuckle that came from the puddle in front of him. When Takeo looked down at the puddle he noticed the not dead teen materialise from the puddle laughing witH the chunnin. As the two continued to laugh and praise each other for their acting. Takeo continued to sit on the ground trying to process the situation at hand.As the two then talked about how they didn't think anyone find it funny Takeo's face went red with rage.

"Of course it wasn't FUNNY! What is funny about faking a DEATH? Watching people cry and look in horror? NO! That isn't funny that's sick that's..." Takeo continued his rant of anger, not fully paying attention to see if the two were listening. The rant continued until he heard one of them shoot the fireworks. He turned around, his face less red but red all the same. As the fireworks fired in multiple directions Takeo stood on the spot, mouth open in shock that the two shinobi had lit fireworks in a crowd of people.

Before Takeo could do anything he felt someone grab his arm and before he knew it he had been pulled up onto a nearby roof. As the teen jumped of the roof so did Takeo as he was asked if he was okay.

"No, I'm not really a fan of fake deaths." Takeo said with an angry voice. "So what are your names? Mines Hanamura Takeo." said to the two yuki shin obi. He was much more calm now.

Takeo hated to admit it but the guy was right. If he cried every time he saw someone die he wouldn't last long as a ninja, that was for sure. Takeo was happy that the chunnin was sympathising with Takeo a little. He was slightly embarrassed that he cried when he was meant to be a shinobi. Although Takeo didn't like the thought of it he knew he had to get used to death and try his best to keep his emotions in check and maybe ignore completely as brutal as it sounded. As Takeo looked up into the dark sky with smoke lingering in the air from the abundance of fireworks lit Takeo suddenly began to laugh as the Yukigakure shinobi talked about prison sentences.

"I can't believe I cried because I thought I killed a man with ice cream." Takeo said chuckling. Takeo felt a bit bad for getting so angry after now seeing how funny it was from Junpei and Hikaru's point of view. He finally stopped laughing and turned around to see Junpei pointing at him to help replace the fireworks. When Junpei asked for Takeo's help in getting the fireworks Takeo grinned. " It wasn't my fault! You just don't want to admit your asking help from a Genin."

Takeo began to scale a nearby house. "Race you there!" Takeo shouted as he got a head start towards the village borders.

Takeo leapt from rooftop to rooftop as he made his way outside the village. He occasionally looked around for Junpei but he couldn't see him anywhere. Only on the odd occasion did Takeo spot him leap over a rooftop nearby. So far Takeo was surprised at how well he was keeping up inside the village but he wasn't sure if Junpei was holding back or not. After Takeo landed on the ground and made his way out of the village he spotted Junpei running just ahead of him. Takeo grinned and continued to run nearby him but the grin soon disappeared when Junpei pulled ahead and taunted Takeo by sticking his tongue out. Takeo simply gave Junpei the middle finger with an angry look.

Takeo continued racing along the dirt path. As he looked ahead he managed to make out what seemed like a forest. Takeo hoped that he may have an advantage navigating the trees due to being from Konoha but he felt that was a bit too hopeful. When Takeo entered the forest he jumped up onto the branch of a tree and began to jump from branch to branch, attempting to close the gap between himself and Junpei.

Takeo was constantly squinting his eyes to look out for branches that could hit him if he didn't notice them quick enough. The dense leaves above him cut off the moonlight, severally affecting his vision. Because of this he also couldn't see Junpei. That was until he saw the glint of a blade catch a stray beam of moonlight. Takeo looked at the person holding it and assumed it was Junpei, the person certainly resembled his figure.

"See ya there if you don't die!" Takeo recognised Junpei's voice which only shocked him more as placed his right hand on the hilt of his katana. He wasn't sure how good with a weapon Junpei was but Takeo hoped he could at least hold him off if he attacked head on. Although it may have seemed a somewhat drastic measure to take, (especially if Junpei was kidding) Takeo had only just met him and wouldn't be surprised if he was killed by him at this point. Takeo continued to check his surrounding to prevent a surprise attack. However, he didn't expect the tree in front of him to fall down before he had landed on it. Before he knew it he to was on the ground, as were the many other trees that had been chopped down. Takeo pulled out his katana as he began to run, still not giving up on the race yet.

As he slowly ran towards Junpei who was now even farther ahead Takeo took a deep breath and then exhaled wind infused chakra onto his katana. Takeo grinned as it flowed around the blade. He picked up his speed and began sprinting as fast as he could to catch with Junpei while also swinging his katana at whatever debris got in his way. With the wind chakra on the katana it was like a hot knife through butter. Little to no debris got close to Takeo due to the increased range as well.Once the last of the trees had been cut down Takeo holstered his katana and the the chakra on it dissipated. Takeo would slowly catch up with Junpei so he was within earshot.

"That worried that a Genin might beat you in a race?" Takeo shouted with a big grin on his face. As they continued on through the forest Takeo could make out a clearing nearby.

Jutsu Used:

Chakra used = 70 - 50 = 20

Takeo felt his breathing get heavier as he continued at his fast pace with his small amount of chakra. Even though he was fatiguing the cold night air in his lungs did help revitalise him. When Junpei steadied his pace more Takeo saw this as an opportunity to pull ahead but he soon slowed down again when he noticed Junpei had went airborne and was aiming for a tree. Before Takeo could react Junpei had already jumped off of the tree trunk with his hand on his sword and began heading towards Takeo with unreal speed. Shit! That was the first thought that came to Takeo's mind when he realised what Junpei was about to do. Noticing that Junpei's hand was on his sword Takeo decided to continue running to have more force into his block from the incoming attack. He managed to block the attack, barely. Takeo was sent flying back with the power from Junpei's strike. Needless to say he was much better with a weapon than Takeo. Takeo looked around and noticed Junpei in front of him and his katana 10 meters behind him, stuck in the ground.

Takeo was taken aback from the sudden attack and was slightly dazed. "Was it really that funny the first time I cried?" Takeo asked Junpei as he stood up and retrieved his katana.

Takeo sheathed his katana. He felt his heavy breathing continue as he rubbed his back, there was a sharp pain in it from landing on his back with so much momentum. Throughout all these actions Takeo was also intently listening to Junpei. The longer he listened the more afraid he felt and how stupid he felt. Before he could answer though Junpei was already pointing at Takeo's heart. He remembered Junpei making a similar gesture before when he set the fireworks off.

Take paused for a moment then answered. "Well...it being the festival of peace and all I guess I let my guard down. Even if other shinobi are paranoid I'm only a genin. I'm not exactly a big target or anything. And both you and Hikaru seemed nice. Hikaru more so but I guess I thought he seemed nice so you couldn't be that bad." Takeo looked down at the finger pointed to his heart. "I'm guessing I was wrong though. Unless this is this another joke or should I start thinking of methods of escaping you?" Takeo said surprisingly calm. He was trying his best to keep his cool and not say anything stupid. So far he was surprised with himself.

Takeo gave a sigh of relief once Junpei's finger was no longer aimed at his heart. He wiped the sweat from his brow and stretched his arms and back, hoping to relieving the aching pain within in them. "Thanks...I guess" Takeo said just before Junpei left. He was one of the strangest and somewhat scariest ninja he'd met. Maybe that was normal in Yukigakure? Takeo didn't know much about the minor countries and their customs.

Takeo was about to walk back to the festival and rest but he remembered that he was racing Junpei. Although the race had escalated into something dangerous quickly Takeo still wanted to beat Junpei, even if he'd considered it over Takeo wanted to leave on a high note. He followed Junpei to the clearing he had entered. Although Junpei was a good distance ahead Takeo could make him out in the distance near their original destination. It was big. Takeo hung back at the clearing and waited until Junpei was hardly in sight and walked to the location of the fireworks. It would take a while for Junpei to locate the fireworks  needed unless he got very lucky. Takeo decided he would try and get them first, he was still determined about winning this race. Especially after being embarrassed by Junpei on two occasions, even if one of them was only witnessed by those two and it was because of Takeo's stupidity.
