Finally, The Crimson Eye Had Arrived

Kouketsu had already told his ANBU to disperse as soon as he saw the amazingly bright lights ahead of him. He hadn't known if the other two followed him this way or not but he didn't exactly feel they needed to be watched over constantly. They could have their fun if they wanted, without their stern kage. It was a festival of peace. Nothing should go wrong.

The ANBU operative had been in the trees all along watching over the kage and the area he strolled in. He would keep an eye on his kage and prove his worth and the organization's worth, as his kage felt he hadn't exactly needed them but he still used them. He was extremely skilled in Taijutsu like his kage and could hold his own in Ninjutsu with the Raiton release. He continued to bounce from tree to tree in silent and quick strides. Keeping up with the new Crimson Eyed Kage.

Finally, Kouketsu had arrived at the gates and proceeded to step inside the festival and take a glance at all the marvelous bright lights and all the fun stuff set up for everyone's amusement. It looked like the world was going to have a rest for once, even if it happened to be a short one at that.

No sooner than the Mizukage had indulged himself in delicious pastries, his ANBU guard appeared in front of him once again. Kouketsu hadn't even noticed the ANBU left out of his own accord on a rumor. Regardless the kage could fend for his own it wouldn't really matter if he had been alone this whole time. The ANBU operative was merely on the lookout in case anyone tried something funny. Maybe this had finally occurred. Kouketsu looked down awaiting the news.

"Mizukage-sama. There has been a report of two Jounin being killed. Regrettably, one from our own, a Kirigakure ninja and a Sunagakure ninja as well. It seems Konoha plays a part as well. Their symbol is etched into the bodies. A signature if you would."

Kouketsu's eyes narrowed as he though of the situation. He could quite possibly bend the Leaf's arm with such news. However, he was never one to believe everything outright and he didn't like blackmail. It was distasteful and a sign of a coward. The Mizukage was no coward.

"Hmmm, follow me. Let's see if we can't round up our ninja and get down to this task at hand. It is very likely that war looms overhead. Kirigakure is lucky to have such a rational kage. Let's hope Sunagakure can say the same. Let's go."

"Yes sir."

Kouketsu leaped up a building and bounded on top of them towards a new destination. Hopefully being able to investigate this further.
