Saito's Mokuton Jutsu

Hand Seals/Charge up: 5 Handseals
Description: The user will first gather a massive amount of water in a location (using his Suiton affinity, turning his chakra into water or absorbing the water from nearby trees), preventing the movement of a target. Then, through using various hand seals, the user will force a massive tree to grow (as large as the water, 10m - 50m), using the water to create hundreds upon hundreds of massive, thick vines and roots to restrain the target from every direction. Merely standing on the water is enough to become restrained, seeing as the roots are created from the water. [1 post]. The vines will then lock and tighten, effectively crushing a target and burying them within the tree. [2nd post] If the user moves, the jutsu is halted and must be continued later.

One may escape this technique via a teammate using a Fire jutsu of equal rank to burn all the vines (though taking them all out will most certainly hurt the victim), or the victim may use a Fire jutsu of equal rank on himself once wrapped in vines/roots.
Weakness: The user is immobile during the use of this jutsu.

Description: Coating their body with a thin layer of chakra, the user will hold a single seal, causing their top layer of skin to harden in a similar fashion to tree bark. This hardening allows the user to brush up against targets causing mild cuts and bruises and increases the damage of taijutsu by a marginal amount. More importantly, damage taken while wearing this is reduced by a single rank.
Weakness: The user's speed is reduced by one rank.

Used For: Supplementary

Range: 5m
Duration: Until destroyed or deactivated. Upkeep equal to that of its rank.
Hand Seals/Charge up: 3
Description: The user will force a small fruit-bearing plant to grow which will drop a fruit into the palm of the user. This fruit can be used to heal wounds. This can be handed out to allies and also replenishes 15 chakra upon eating it.
Weakness: Chakra is not restored when eaten by the user, though wounds are.

So if you move what happens? Also how are you gathering the water?

If chakra isn't replenished then remove it from the description., also this justsu doesn't really have a duration since you make a plant grow which in turn drops a single fruit. If this is a continuous jutsu it will need a upkeep.

I edited. Chakra is replenished, though it doesn't work for the user, only on allies. This is used as a balancing mechanic.

Can one escape your binding technique even after it's complete? Or are the, in essence, royally screwed?

A teammate can burst you out using a powerful jutsu, but some may result to using Katon jutsu on themself once wrapped to escape the technique. Jutsu used to break it must be of equal rank.
