Looks Description: Katsuro is a tall man, with brown eyes, short, straight black hair, and beard. His clothing usually consits of form fitting, black long-sleeve shirt underneath his white flak jacket. A rather utilitarian version with no scroll pouches and its fastened by only one strap over the left shoulder. The strap is attached via a button and the jacket has a strange design on the front which consists of one diagonal line going down to the left with four small lines on top and one medium size line line going down to the right that is perpendicular the previous line. And while the flak jacket only covers half of the torso, this is compensated with the use of shin and arm guards.
On his hands he sports arm guards that are more commonly seen on ANBU than a regular Jounin. Strapped to his back, he wears three pouches containing scrolls, ninja tools, and other odds and ends to help him accomplish missions. Sewed into the waistband of his pants is a razor in case he is ever captured and his hands tied behind his back. He wears normal ninja pants and ninja sandals both black in color.
Personality Description: The Patriot: Katsuro isn't like the average Shinobi in his devotion to Kumogakure. His devotion runs deep within nearly every fiber of his being. It is almost impossible for Katsuro to do something that would harm the village in any way. Growing up as a child he was taught to love Kumogakure and do anything in his power to protect it from harm, even laying down his own life.
The Hero Complex: Katsuro suffers from a mild disorder that makes him want to be the hero in everyone's eyes. This makes him do stupidly irresponsible stuff to save or help someone in a time of need. He well refuse medical treatment until he is sure no one else needs it and often gives away money and food to those who are poor and hungry.
Smoker: Katsuro, since an early age, has been addicted to smoking and that habit hasn't left him one bit. He doesn't like it when someone touches his cigarettes and can get extremely angry when someone steals or breaks one of his cigarettes. He is often seen with one lit in his mouth.
The Teacher: Katsuro's primary dream in life is to be a teacher and to help young genin along their lives to become true shinobi. He believes teaching is not about forcing knowledge into his young students but allowing them to learn the consquences of their actions under controlled circumstances. While some might think his methods are dangerous he considers it necessary for them to learn the true reason for being a shinobi.
Likes: Teaching, Smoking, Making Stuff using his Mokuton release,
Dislikes: Disrespect, People who try to harm Kumogakure, Alcoholics, People who mess with his cigarettes, Smell of Blood

Sub Element Affinity: Mokuton
History:
- Pre-Academy:
- Pre-Academy Years: Katsuro was born in Kumogakure to a small Senju family unit. As the oldest child, he was destined to become the next head of the Michiki family. By the time Katsuro was born the family had already been inside Kumogakure for many, many generations. They were fiercely loyal to their village and often took the role of teachers rather than those that went out and did combat missions. Growing up, this method of thinking was taught to Katsuro who wanted to to nothing but make his family, and village, proud.
- Academy:
- Academy Years: After joining the Academy, Katsuro began studying his heart out in the hopes of one day becoming a great Shinobi. As with many at his young and impressionable age, Katsuro wanted to be a war hero and have a statue with his likeness and possibly save the princess in the tower from the dragon. He was neither extremely good in one single area nor was he really bad in one. He was merely average throughout his academy years. He made many friends and many enemies throughout the academy years but he didn't let them hold him back from his dream of being a war hero. Despite his inherent gift with Mokuton, Katsuro preferred to use his fists in a fight. He graduated from the academy in the top 10.
- Genin:
- Genin Years: After graduating form the Academy, Katsuro was put on a team with a former ANBU, one of his friends form the academy and someone he never really got to know. Throughout the training, his sensei instilled the tactics of the ANBU into them and taught them that the best way to defeat an opponent was through strength, intelligence, and endurance. When they weren't training, they were partaking in missions for the village. Though they were not dangerous per-say, they did usually come back with a few scraps and bruises. He was a genin for several years before the time for the Chuunin exams rolled around. With no doubt in his mind that his team could handle the chuunin exams, their Sensei signed them up.
- Exams:
- Chuunin Exams: As the Chuunin Exams came nearer, Katsuro saw his dream approaching at high speed and he wasn't about to give up on it. The first exam was felt to be the easiest to past despite the intensity of it. The second test saw the squad become one of the five to finish the trial, though being bloody and battered by the end of it. The Third test was one of the hardest for Katsuro. He would have to fight his friends and fellow Kumogakure Shinobi to pass this final test. This was where Katsuro developed his personal Taijutsu style, one that requires fast movement, and different locks to end the fight as quickly as possibly. When fighting one of his friends he would do so without using Ninjutsu and doing as little bodily damage as possibly, mainly using different locks and throws to get his opponent to submit. He lost his third fight to a shinobi from another village. Despite this he was promoted Genin for his ability to think on his feet and combat prowess.
- Chuunin:
- Chuunin Years: After obtaining his Title and Flak Jacket, Katsuro set about developing his skills as he did missions. He furthered developed his Mokuton-Taijutsu style of fighting through a series of high ranked missions and even tried his hand at developing a few of his own Mokuton jutsu, though succeeding with only a few lower ranked ones that kids seemed to enjoy.
It was his first night back from a mission when he was called up with the other Shinobi to protect the village. Despite him being tired he headed the call of the village. With a group of other shinobi he helped force the missing nin from the village before collapsing from fatigue. He spent a few weeks in the hospital to recover from his wounds before he volunteered to go on one of the patrols on the border to make sure the missing-nin stayed away.
It was during this attack that he realized that he didn't like the death that came with being a hero. He preferred the laughter of the children as he made small wooden toys for children over the crying of his dying friends or the stench of blood. It was then that he decided that instead of becoming an ANBU and spending his life killing shinobi, he would help raise the next generation of Shinobi so that no one would have to do that. Despite this new decision he still went on missions by himself, or with other chuunin, to help further his knowledge of jutsu so that he could adequately teach his future pupils.
- Jounin:
- Jounin Years: Several years of missions and learning led Katsuro up to the point in which he earned his Jounin's vest. Though, despite becoming a Jounin, he didn't think he was ready to teach young pupils so he continued to do missions for the village. This lasted for several years until which he finally decided he would take a team. It was with his first team that he developed his way of teaching via the school of hard knocks. He would batter and bruise his students to get them ready for battle before also healing them and teaching them the nicer things of life. “To appreciate life one must first witness death.” While his unorthodox teaching methods gave him a bad name he students respected him and some even looked up to him. He often brought his team on more dangerous missions than other sensei to show them that they should be ready for anything and that they should always keep a level head.
- Spoiler:
- “Katsuro, cool yourself young one,” shouted the Kage over the expletive shouting genin. Someone had managed to push the right button, or the wrong one, on the young Genin and they had received the full wrath of the kid. Lying crumpled on the floor was the unconscious body of another Genin, his leg lying in an awkward position obviously broken and Katsuro’s knuckles were badly bloodied and he was barely even breathing hard. “Katsuro, I have a mission for you seeing as you incapacitated the original holder of the mission. There is a strange monster lurking on the border between the Fire Country and ours. I want you to go investigate it and neutralize the threat if you can. It has been disrupting our trade caravans for several days.” Katsuro just nodded at the elderly man before running off towards the gate. He had everything he needed with him for the journey and fight ahead of him. He was still seething by the time he got to the gate and the Jounin wasted no time in letting him buy lest he attack them as well. While Katsuro would not have been able to take them down, he wouldn’t have stopped unless he was seriously injured.
As Katsuro travelled through the desert, he made sure to travel between the oases of the desert to reduce the consumption of his supplies and to increase the likelihood of finding someone who had seen the creature or knew of its current whereabouts. It didn’t take him long to find a caravan that had suffered damage from some creature that was quite large going by the scratch marks on the side of the wagon. Katsuro stayed and conversed with the caravan master about where they had been attacked and how long ago it happened. It turned out that it had only happened a couple hours prior to Katsuro finding them. The tracks would no longer be there because of the ever shifting sands of the desert but he wouldn’t stop until he found it.
As he was about to set off on his search again, he noticed it was getting dark so he settled down with the Caravan for the night to get a couple hours of rest before finding and killing the beast. As he slowly drifted off to sleep he thought about the previous day’s actions and the fight he had gotten into. He visibly shrugged as he finally nodded off. It only felt like he had been asleep for fifteen minutes when he felt the early morning rays on his face. He was slow to raise from the soft sand but once he was up, he was gone in an instant in the direction the Caravan had come from. Again he traveled the day away by using the oases as rest areas and scouting stops. There was still no sign of the beast that was causing his village so much trouble.
He continued traveling all that day and half of the next until he found the sign he was looking for. He found an overturned wagon near half eaten bodies of humans and animals alike. Whatever had done the damage was big enough to flip a wagon and eat three horses. As he looked around for any sign of it, he heard a roar from behind him and turned to see and giant furred creature. It was every bit as tall as he was at the shoulder and looked ferocious. This was turning into an A-Ranked mission for the young Genin, and his first one at that. He took a defensive stance that allowed him to move fast in defense but slow in attack as he waited for the creature to approach him. Both he and it were wary of each other, clear by the way the creature circled around him.
They waited several minutes for the other to attack until the beast suddenly leapt towards Katsuro. Katsuro did a quick side tumble before sending strike to the base of the creature’s neck. There was no sign of obvious effect so Katsuro jumped further back, just in time to dodge the creature’s claws. This time it was Katsuro’s turn to go on the offensive. Instead of going straight taijutsu, he pulled a Kunai from his pocket and began his assault on the creature. He delivered quick strikes with the knife at vital locations. Soon the creature was gushing blood into the sands and it barely had the strength to attack back. Eventually it died a slow death from blood loss. Katsuro waited a few minutes to make sure it was dead before finally cutting off its head and bringing it back to the Kage of Kumogakure.
