Katsuro

Spoiler:

If Katsuro had not taken a squad as early as he did, he probably would have done this mission solo, even without the Jounin as back-up.  But he had chosen a squad and it had the potential to be one of the strongest he had ever taught.  Two Uchiha and a Taijutsu Master wannabe made up Squad Katsuro, or Squad One, whichever one preferred.

One of his favorite teaching methods to test their individual combat prowess was to take them on a mission along with himself.  Of course to keep them out of any real danger he only took them on C ranked missions, sometimes lied about it to make them feel better about themselves.  Which is what he did to Kobachi whatever his name is.  Told him it was an A Rank mission which was why he was bringing along three other Jounin, which was completely false.  He had been ordered to bring the Suiton specialists along with him despite being one himself.

It was the previous night that he had delivered the notification to Kobachi and informed him to be ready for a serious fight and to pack light.  What he did after he left Kobachi's family's house was an entirely different story.

Like always he had arrived at the designated meeting point, along the coast where a ship had been moored near the shore.  The ship had a small crew compliment that had no fighting skills and therefore would probably be more of a hindrance than a blessing.  Of course Katsuro didn't know how to work a ship, and he was sure none of the other Shinobi under his command did either.

As he waited for the task force under his command, he pulled his cigarettes and lighter from a pocket before lighting one.  Placing the pack and lighter back in his pocket, he took a deep puff off the cigarette before exhaling and making smoke rings that floated lazily in the air before the wind caused them to disappear.

This decent day would mark the beginning of Kobachi's training with his Sensei, Katsuro. Needless to say the Genin was excited as he always was about basically anything. The lightly sea salted lashed in his mouth as it activated his saliva glands and made his mouth water. His arm both swung in the same direction, rather than one forward and one back as he walked soon approaching his Sensei. He noticed the others present and saw them preparing the boat for their departure, apparently he would be combating a band of pirates today which he found to be an exhilarating thought.

His smile was beaming like always as he gave a light bow to his sensei. "Hi Sensei." He simply said before looking back out to the sea and the sailors. Other than a small burlap sack hanging by a thin rope hanging on his shoulders and Furrashu his Bladerang, he carried nothing with him. He typically never did, even when going on long trips, preferring to hunt or forage and cook his meals fresh rather than have prepared meals. Looking back at Katsuro, as it looked like the Sailors were ready to embark to the area the pirates were rumored to be, Kobachi also gave a smile to the other Jounin present. Following Katsuro's lead, Kobachi would hopefully board the ship and be on his way to completing an A-Rank mission. Though the danger factor was a little exciting and unsettling, Kobachi wouldn't let it dampen or even boost how he performed. That being because whatever mission he took he always gave it one hundred percent, not being the type to slack off when it came to his training or career as a ninja.

Katsuro watched as each of the Task Force arrived.  First to arrive were the three Jounins and bringing up the rear was his Genin, who made quite the comical entrance swinging his arms in the same direction at the same time which made him look like some sort of train or something.  Nearly brought a laugh to Katsuro's lips.  Nearly.

It didn't take long after Kobachi arrived for the all clear to sound across the water.  This told Katsuro that they were ready to disembark and for Katsuro and his Task Force to get to the ship.  He took a puff off his cigarette as he motioned for the task force to follow him out across the water.  It wouldn't take them long to cross the hundred yards or so of water to get to the ship.

As they walked across the water he prepped the Genin seeing as the Jounin were at the briefing and knew of his plan to trick Kobachi into thinking he was involved in a high ranked mission.

"We are only about an hour where the pirates' area of operation is.  We suspect there will be only one ship and it will have a few compliment of crew where we only have a skeleton crew that have no fighting experience.  Our jobs are to neutralize the enemy crew and then kill the Pirate Captain.  The crew are suspected to be A-Ranked criminals while the Pirate Captain is a confirmed S-Ranked Criminal with the ability to use ninjutsu, taijutsu, and various forms of weaponry.  The Crew are only suspected in advance hand to hand combat skills and mediocre weapon skills.  After we deal with the crew, we remove any and all cargo from the ship and then scuttle the ship.  Once we find the target ship, our ship will stay at range while we approach from the water hopefully catching the enemy by surprise.  Any questions?  No?  Good," he changed his attention to the friendly captain, "Permission to come aboard, Captain?"

The captain gave them permission with a nod before he went back to ordering his crew to haul the anchor in and set sail.  Without hesitation, Katsuro jumped aboard the ship and was quickly followed by the Jounin.  Once on the deck of the ship he watched the barefoot crew go about their business before he motioned for the Task Force to congregate around the captain and the wheel.  A puff off his cigarette brought forth the sweet smelling smoke of the cigarette to those around.  They had an hour to rest and relax before they would have to begin fighting.

Kobachi watched as the ninja began water walking across the shallow parts of the ocean and Kobachi figured it'd be best if he did the same. Taking a moment to focus his chakra in the soles of his feet before following, Kobachi made a leap to catch up with the group. A splash was barely created as he landed and he sighed in relief of his water walking being a success. Listening to the briefing he noticed Katsuro hadn't specifically said his name meaning he would be operating as a normal member for this mission, meaning all of the words that went over his head wouldn't need to be touched on or asked about. For all he knew he would just be following the lead of the other ninjas and that's exactly what he would do unless told other wise.

Seeing as everyone began to board the ship Kobachi did the same and hopped a board. He had been aboard a boat only one other time in his life, so it was still all very new to him. His eyes looked to and fro as they were wide open peering at any and every detail. Eventually he heard foot steps that were noticeably different sounding than the bare feet tapping on the deck. Looking at the source of the noise he followed the task force and positioned himself near the captain as the others did. In his mind he thought about he time that Katsuro mentioned. It was far longer than a minute, so it must have been an hour . . . yes an hour. Kobachi then began thinking of all the things he could do in an hour to get an idea of how long the voyage would be before they arrived in the designated area.

Nodding to himself as he got an idea of the amount of time that would pass, he began going through his basic Taijutsu combinations in his mind, lightly mimicking them in place to get the feel for them. Every now and then, Kobachi would also take moments to stretch his body as to stay warmed and ready for combat. Seeing as the others were more Ninjutsu oriented or so it seemed, they didn't need to stay well stretched as much as Kobachi did.

The canvas of the sails rippled in the wind as salt water splattered the face of the aging Jounin who stood at the front of ship watching out for pirates.  He would take occasional glances to check on his Task Force.  The three Jounin were hosting a small gathering around the railing as they watched the fish swim around the ship.  His Genin seemed to be practicing something akin to prayer or Taijutsu, not that the two were technically mutually exclusive.

Unlike his Task Force, Katsuro was formulation plans of attack for various scenarios.  More than two shisp would require a division of forces, depending on the number of extra ships.  Already he planned to have two of the Jounin to approach by foot on the water towards the ship in hopes of being able to sink it while Katsuro and the remaining members of the task force engaged in hand to hand combat on the deck of the ship.

After deciding on the plan he turned to face his Task Force.  He went to each member of the Task Force and told them to meet him at the Captain of the ship to hear the plan.

After each member of the Task Force arrived he began explaining the plan in depth.

"Once we get within range of the enemy we will drop off two Jounin where they can't see while maneuvering to give them cover on on their approach.  Their job is to put a hole in the hull of the enemy ship while the remaining task force fight hand to hand on the enemy deck.  Captain, I don't want your ship within range of the pirates.  Once the Task Force is off the ship I want your ship to maneuver away from the pirates while we handle them.  Once the pirates are taken care of we will come back to the ship through the water.  Then you can bring us home."

After he finished the plan, he took a final draw on the cigarette before dropping it on the deck to stamp out.  Once the ember was extinguished he picked it back up and pocketed it.

Evolving from his subtle movements, not before long Kobachi would be full on practicing his combos. Exhaling a sharp breath with every strike as to add power behind the blows, he would be once again summoned out the realm of his mind as his sensei had began to host another meeting. Kobachi turned his attention to the meeting and moved within distance to hear. It seemed like Kobachi would simply have to board the pirate ship and neutralize the threats just like the others. Still having no special role in the mission, Kobachi was still feeling comfortable and not even an ounce of nervousness tingled in is body. What he could feel though was warm blood coursing through his veins, signifying that his body was prepared for the task at hand.

After the small rendezvous was dismissed, the only Genin present would make his way to the deck of the ship. Sitting against the mast, hopefully out of the way of everyone, he would sit himself down in the lotus position and begin meditating. Seeing as this was supposedly an A-Rank mission he wanted to be able to do his absolute best, even if that meant going to the extent of opening a gate or two, so he went through the procedure in his mind as to be ready. Seeing how he hadn't much practice with the gates, he still required a bit of time to open them, rather than some experienced users who could open them and not take a second to prepare. That was the level Kobachi wanted to reach, so he would have to constantly train himself to reach that level and frequently acquaint himself with the feeling of the gates. That being said, he would first open his meditation session with some simple breathing. Toning out the bits of banter and scuffling feet, he focused on his breaths and the oceans call. Soon he found himself dwelling in his Mind's Eye and he began first going through the chakras he was raised with. Those being the Hindu Chakras, in this case there were seven. Pacing through the existence of each of them and linking them with their relevance, may it be location or meaning, to the Hachimon Kobachi began swelling up chakra in his brain. Feeling the pressure against the first gate, he just lightly tapped on it as to get a feel of opening it, so he could call on that feeling later. His chest rose and deflated and he kept tapping away, in his mind he pictured a door slightly opening and closing, then opening then closing. This visualization may not have helped most, but for this Genin it went a long way.

With one final exhale of breath he opened his eyes and came to a stand. Scanning the deck once more, he saw he still had time to himself, so he moved a bit forward, still near the mast, but with a bit of more space to himself. Seeing as he was already stretched he figured he would begin to lightly exercise his body, not to the point where it would even slightly fatigue his body, as he could exercise all day, but just to start maybe a small sweat and get the muscles heated. Digging in his burlap sack he removed the only item present, that being a length of rope with a grappling hook ending to it. This gave the item many purposes. One being boarding the enemy ship if needed be used in that fashion, fishing, and lastly as a jump rope. Whipping the rope around in both hands with the hooks base close to his hand so it wouldn't move, he went through a rep of jumps. Setting the rope down, he would hop out into push-ups. About twenty normal, then twenty with his arms close to his torso to work his triceps, then in diamonds. After the two handed push-ups were done, he would then move onto five one handed push-ups on each side. Finishing those he graciously slipped his feet under him and reversed his positioning. Now on his back he started doing sit-ups. About fifty until he would go back to his jump roping.

Not only did this work his body, but it also helped him with his counting as well, so he felt very pleased with not only the physical results of this training, but also the mental.

After the cigarette butt was placed in his pocket he leaned against the railing, watching the way the sailors worked amongst each other like a well oiled machine. Which is exactly how he needed his Genin squad to work together. he continued to flit his attention from the man in the crows nest to the men on the rigging to the men scurrying about the deck bringing supplies to the others and making sure ropes are still secured. Well oiled machine indeed. Every now and then the captain would shout an order to his men and they would follow it to the letter. A ship would be the perfect testing ground for his students to get along. It also seemed like the skills needed to be taught to a Genin were also useful on a ship. The need to climb the mast for the rigging, the need to be completely accurate in everything. Being just lazy enough and angry enough to make sure the job is done right. Not perfect but right.

It was in the middle of this thought train that Katsuro's attention was drawn to the now exercising Kobachi. He had been meditating just a few moments before but now he was alternating between pushups and jumping jacks. If the kid was able to do physical training and still maintain that level of exuberance in battle he would indeed grow up to become an excellent shinobi. Of course he wouldn't tell him that until he left his squad. That is if he didn't suffer a permanent injury that would stop him from advancing in the ranks. Losing a limb would end most shinobi's careers. He continued to watch the genin training for a while before the crow's nest sighted something. The call came down soon afterwards. They spotted a ship sporting a black flag. Pirates.

Katsuro felt the ship lurch to the right as it started a diagonal approach on the pirate. It wouldn't be long before the pirates spotted them and made their way to intercept the merchant vessel. And it wasn't. The Crow's Nest called down another tidbit of information. The vessel was approaching them at speed and would intercept them in the next few minutes.

"Start the plan now," he hollered at his Task Force. "Two of you drop into the water now. Stay on the opposite side they are on and don't trail behind. The rest need to stay out of sight until the ship closes in on us. We need to surprise them. They won't be expecting a shinobi let alone three on board. When we get close enough I'll give the order and we jump ships. I'll take the front, Kobachi will take the middle, and the Jounin will take the wheel. Once we leave the deck of the ship, I want you, Captain, to steer this ship away like we discussed earlier. Keep a safe distance from the enemy. Now go."

The two Jounin with the orders to go into the water jumped over the side, out of view from the enemy ship, while Katsuro pulled Kobachi and the last genin into a spot where they would be out of sight from the approaching enemy. Now was the time for them to keep themselves under the strictest of control. Any slip up could jeopardize the mission and the men in the water.

"If either of you run into any help just call out and someone will arrive to assist you. Your main jobs, though, are to clear the crew out of the way so we can take out the Captain as easily as possible."

Kobachi was about on his fourth set, when he heard a call from a man in a section of wood that was positioned high above the deck. As all attention was brought to him, it was soon summoned back to Katsuro or Kobachi's sensei. The plan was to fall into action now and Kobachi wouldn't be the reason they didn't succeed. Moving to position himself near his Jounin elder, he nodded to his instructions. Staying in the middle of the two, Kobachi felt his sensei saw him as a liability, in this instance he felt as if he was being protected or guarded. Though he didn't like the feeling, he stayed humble and accepted the fact that he was the Genin on this mission and probably was the weakest link not to mention the civilians.

Staying hidden as instructed, Kobachi would be sure to crouch lower than the two ninja near him, just to be sure that he wouldn't be the reason anything went wrong. As the atmosphere tensed up, the knot in the Genin's stomach did as well. This would be his first serious mission and an A-Rank at that. Saying a swift prayer to his Goddess of Courage he remembered the story of who she came about and who she was given her mighty ten arms. With each of the limbs it was proven that she could defend all corners of the earth protecting all of her followers. Finishing his prayer, he felt stronger and sat in the feeling of internal vigor. Now Kobachi felt more than ready, the uneasiness in his gut had subsided and he felt his chakras settle into a calm, but prepared state. "I await your signal to strike Sensei." The Genin's face wore the mask of confidence, but underneath was an even more powerful warrior ready to prove himself as an asset in front of these many Jounin.

Katsuro

Katsuro

Katsuro controlled his breathing as he waited for the call from the captain as they neared. He could feel the fire in his blood begin to boil as adrenaline shot through his system. He was getting ready for a fight he had been itching for for the past few months. He had been couped up in the village for months without a real way to release the pent up energy he had. With a smirk he grabbed one of the kunai that was in a pouch on his back before before bringing it to bear. It shouldn't take long for the call to go through and shouldn't take much longer for the water borne shinobi to begin their assault on the hull of the enemy ship underwater. Breath in. Breath out. Control your breathing and don't let your subordinates you are itching for a fight.

Feeling the ship lurch to the side as it swiftly changed directions, Katsuro looked at his Genin and gave a smile full of teeth. "Now!" He shouted as he lurched up from their hiding spot and, after running at full speed, used the railing to launch himself through the air towards the enemies. He didn't spare a glance towards his companions hoping they would be able to at least make it aboard the ship. Upon making landfall aboard the deck of the moving ship, landing harder than intended due to the swaying and rising of the deck, he wasted no time in launching a kunai at the nearest enemy before performing a single handsign. Ram. If anyone was watching the bearded Senju they would notice that his body had sprouted a series of makeshift weapons akin to swords or something of that ilk as he initiated hand to hand combat with the pirates.

Kobachi's heart beat was steadily going from a clam pace to a sporadic and excited pace. Consciously he would hold in his deep breathes to keep the pumping under control. Listening the the ocean it seemed as if the waters too had become riled up in preparation for the confrontation. The boat rocked as the water splashed against it, making the only noise audible in the brewing atmosphere, until it all exploded on one mans command. Freeing his hold on his heart, he allowed the muscle to beat as it wishes, as did he free himself. Rushing to the railing he leap to get a single step on the ledge, then pressed off the railing to propel himself on board the same ship as his sensei.

Unlike the latter mentioned being, Kobachi's landing was light as he studied the sway of the enemy vessel and figured where to place his weight. But that alone wasn't enough for a steady landing, so what actually lightened his touchdown was a lithe forward roll. While rolling he slyly gripped the handle of his weapon, Furrashu, and gave a quick toss of the blade, it's target being the sail up above. He noticed earlier how the the ship he was aboard seemed to rely on the massive cloth to gain speed, so he figured putting a hole in it wouldn't allow the ship to catch as much wind. It would be punctured twice, once from the primary toss, then again from the blades return. Kobachi wouldn't be present for the blades return however as he would move to engage one of his foes. He wasn't sure of their skill level, but seeing how this was an A-Ranked mission or so he believed, he wouldn't let his guard down the slightest. With that in mind, with Kobachi's previous roll, he had purposely positioned himself near the railing of the enemy ship, that being so he couldn't be approached from behind.

Seeing how his Sensei had tossed a kunai, a weapon obviously meant for killing, Kobachi figured ending lives wasn't an issue here, but he would be sure to leave the captain of the pirates to his sensei. Seeing as he may need to be apprehended or something of the sort. But without further ado, Kobachi dashed into one of the pirates to engage in close combat. Only a simple dagger was unsheathed, but with technique the simplest tool could be the greatest. Stabs and swipes were swung at the Genin, but only to be dodged and parried with palm strikes. Having the feel of his target, Kobachi timed his counter for when he saw an opening. Catching a stab underneath his armpit, Kobachi's arm would wrap around to grip the assailants forearm, thus locking the movement. Bringing up a knee to the arm right where the elbow was, the arm would successfully snap in an inverted 'v' shape. A gruesome sight and an even more unsettling noise, being the crunch and the cry that followed it.

Releasing the man Kobachi hopped back a small distance as another joined the scene. He was sad he couldn't finish the man while he was in shock, for now he had the chance to gather himself back together mentally. Though his dominant arm was ruined, being a pirate surely he could still put up a fight.

Katsuro

Katsuro

After landing and throwing the Kunai, which was subsequently disregarded as it impaled itself in the chest cavity of one of the pirates, leaking blood down the front of his blouse and he fell on it, shoving it deeper inside.  It didn't take long for the spikes to form from Katsuro's body after performing the wood release jutsu.  With his defenses augmented so that he couldn't be immobilized easily, Katsuro went on the offensive using Taijutsu.

Unlike his Genin who was simply using his body, Katsuro was using the spikes that sprouted from his form as well as grapples to pull them into the deadly spikes coming from his chest and back.  The second unfortunate pirate to taste the fury of the Teaching Jounin was too fat for his good and unable to properly defend himself when Katsuro came in with a quick jab to his pudgy thoat, effectively crushing his throat before sending a roundhouse kick to the side of his head, launching him over the railing and into the rolling ocean.

He cautioned a glance towards his Genin just in time to see the arm break into two pieces forming a V.  Kobachi wasn't afraid to break bones or get his hands dirty it seemed.  He converted his eyes towards the other jounin who was delaying the captain and the higher ranked members of the crew while they dealt with the rest.  He smiled.  Things were going as planned and hopefully the other shinobi would arrive shortly to begin working on the hull.

Unseen to those aboard the pirate ship, the two remaining shinobi made their way quietly under the water.  They would be in the fight shortly.  Or at least doing their part with sinking the ship cutting the enemy numbers down drastically.  Though there was always the chance there were crew under the deck working the bilge pumps to make sure there wasn't any water leaking in.

Though he was deep in combat, his brain was still sharp. He figured from how hard he tossed his weapon it should be returning by now. Looking over his shoulder he was correct and he would cross his left hand over his body to catch the blade safely.Taking no time to hesitate he threw the blade at the previously wounded ninja. With this toss, however the blade would return prematurely about as soon as it got a meter or two behind the target. That meant Kobachi didn't have to worry about who was behind his target and could simply focus on his objective of taking him out. This technique was called Snake Toss and was very handy when outnumbered. With the blade out of his hand the pirates simply watched Furrashu whip by the both of them, seemingly a miss fire. Kobachi would be close behind the weapon though engaging the undamaged target. With his attention reverted it seemed his weapon had done more than he expected. Utilizing a strong fist combination, the Genin was simply trying to defeat the ruffian quickly with bone breaking strikes. One backhanded fist strike to the mans neck from a stun. With the left he would simply plunge it into the depths of his stomach. The other pirate with the maimed arm would then begin moving to assist, but his journey would be stopped with Furrashu sliding in his back making him fall over onto the deck of the boat to bleed out. Back to the combo, the Genin would finish strong with a straight kick with his heel to the chin of his target. The leg would extend straight up making a 180 degree angle with his standing leg a true testament to his Taijutsu prowess for him to execute such an attack in heated combat. The pirate would be sent back and fall to the ground as if he attempted a back flip and simply jumped onto the upper part of his back.

As the fool got up he swayed as if he was in a drunken stupor. To his right was his ally who by now was at deaths door, grabbing the blade that was in his back and wrenching it out, surely the poor soul died as he made a faint pained noise. A noise Kobachi was told was the sound of the spirit leaving ones body. Saying a quick prayer for the mans spirit, the Taijutsu Enthusiast narrowed his eyes at the armed ninja. He wasn't sure what he was going to do, but all he knew was that he couldn't let the buffoon toss Furrashu. Though it seemed simple a degree of skill was needed to make the weapon return and without that skill the pirate would simply throw the blade out into the ocean. He nodded to himself and spread his legs into the horse stance. Inhaling the exhaling one could hear his breath if they were paying attention. "Hah" His body would jerk, but an image of the boy would remain in his place. About two meters diagonally right from his previous position, the Genin would appear, then once again he would leave another image of himself behind as he appeared behind the pirate while extending a chop at his neck. Once it made contact the blow would shutter on the extension of the target and it would knock the man unconscious. Falling over Kobachi would take his weapon out of the mans hand and put it back on his hip as he peered over at the Jounin dealing with the Captain. Then looking over to his sensei, he saw he was handling himself more than well and could probably take this mission by himself.

Jumping up, Kobachi would land on the railing of the deck near the device the captain used to steer the boat. This would be railing still on the interior of the boat and not the perimeter with the boat having two levels, this being the level the captain would steer his boat and look over his crew. In front of Kobachi was the mechanism used from steering and he thought about destroying the wooden clock shaped piece, but thought it'd be best to leave it unharmed. On the railing like how stone gargoyles perched on fancy buildings, the young ninja would jump at full force into the captain, while drawing his blade. No cuts would be done to the man however, but if successful the captain would find the curved edge at his neck and a Kumogakure ninja in his face with an expression that showed he wasn't afraid to deal the killing blow.

OOC: Progressing and finishing the mission.

With the captain pinned down and with his neck lightly grazing Kobachi's blade, he figured he was done for, but he was a pirate and would make sure he went out with a bang. Pirates never did fight fair of course and always resorted to dirty tactics that most would call distasteful. Ninja's were the same, however. But for some odd reason their seemingly cheap tactics were seen as clever, sly, crafty, and practical. In his previous brawl with the other Jounin it seemed a volume of blood had trickled into the captains mouth from an open wound, so he used that filthy ruby colored liquid to fire an attack at Kobachi's optics. The spray of blood successfully hit the Genin's eye and in turn he hesitated with administering the final blow. This hesitation was long enough for the Captain to move his foot to the Genin's torso and kick him off the second level of the deck onto the main level. Crashing into the ships wood, it would splinter underneath his body, cutting his back up a bit, but he was more so worried about the pain in his eyes, as splinters were no big deal.

The Jounin that was present was quick to follow up and not allow the Captain to fully recover though he had made a successful advance on the Genin. Drawing a kunai, in one swift motion, it was fired into the mans chest making him cough blood as slammed back onto the deck as his lungs were pierced. Pulling out his blade, in another fluid movement displaying slick knife work, the Jounin sliced the mans neck open and left him to bleed out on his own ship.

"The Captains down and this ship's starting to sink due to the plan Katsuro, should be our que to leave." Hopping down off the second level, he moved Kobachi's arm around his shoulder, since the Genin was blinded and had no liquids to flush his eyes. "I'll lead him back since his vision's hindered." Kobachi accepted the help and in due time he was on the original ship, having his eyes flushed out with clean water. Glad to have his vision return to him, he would patiently wait for the ship to dock and he would bow to his Sensei. "Thank you for taking me on the mission sensei, I hope to do many more." Back on the sand bat, Kobachi's arms swung with the same amount of joy he had arrived with.

Katsuro

Katsuro had been to busy with his own battle with the crew to realize that his Genin had broken away from combat on the middle deck and moved to assist the Jounin on delaying the the captain.  Of course the dead or dying bodies were turning the rocking deck into a slippery death trap though the crew on his side of the ship were no longer a threat to anyone.  Cancelling the jutsu that made him into a human porcupine, Katsuro turned his attention towards the other two just in time to see his genin fly into the deck where he was supposed to be.  Blood covering the Genin's face and the only thought that crossed into his mind was 'What an idiot.'

Katsuro payed no mind to the Jounin who slit the neck of the Captain open as he jumped onto the water to inform the other Jounin the fight was over.  Eventually they were back on the ship and Katsuro was watching as the Genin's wounds were cleaned and his eyes flushed out.  Luckily for the Genin his back wounds were superficial and the blood in his eyes was not his own.  Once they back at dock, Katsuro listened in passing as his Genin thanked him.  'Idiot...'  He turned to the Genin with a small smile on his face as he spoke.

"That was a C-Ranked mission."  He turned around and walked off back towards the village.
