Looks Description:
Atsui is a fairly tall young man with a head of messy dark brown hair. His skin is somewhat tan by genetics, and there it's a little darker from spending a lot of time outside. His eyes are a deep gray, sometimes even hiding the presence of his pupils in their haze. His regular attire consists of a brown long-sleeved jacket that fits snugly over his body with a tan-like shirt underneath it. He wears a pair of simple brown slacks and lets his tool pouch hang off of his right thigh for easy access. Atsui's color preference for his sandals is black, and rather than wearing a headband, he chooses to have the symbol of Iwagakure printed on the back of his short-sleeved shirt and on his jacket.
In addition to his attire, Atsui wears fingerless black gloves and has an additional tool pouch under his original one that contains his pipe and has room to hold plants that he harvested. There's also pockets on the inside of his jacket where he sometimes stores his pipe or tools.

Personality Description:
Atsui is sometimes described as a lazy individual. While this is often a result of the things he likes to smoke, it's more or less a result of him choosing to relax when he feels like he has nothing to do. On the contrary to what people have said about him, he's quite alert and ready to work when it comes to completing missions or attending to battles. But why work when you don't have to? In addition to that mindset, Atsui is also a fairly laid back person. He doesn't enjoy getting too roweled up unless it's something he's really excited about, and he certainly hates trying to argue with difficult people.
On most occasions, he'll try to ignore the problem if it's something simple enough to be ignored. Some people are just a little too autistic for him to deal with, and he'll get extremely frustrated if he's forced to continue dealing with them. When he's not handling some situation or spending time with his often temporary teams, Atsui likes to practice his hobbies. He creates and cultivates plants that learns about while traveling, expanding upon the uses of his kekkai genkai. In addition to that, he enjoys cooking, writing, meditating, and most of all, enjoying a good smoke.
Despite his calmness on the outside, Atsui is somewhat victim to insecurity issues. He likes to know what people think of him, even if he only hears bits and pieces of it by asking sly questions. This isn't the main concern of his problem, however. The main thing that bothers him is not knowing things that are crucial to his sense of self. This is better portrayed through roleplay than through example, so it'll be shown when the situation arises.

History:
Atsui's history is a fairly simple one. He learned most of his ninja skills from his father, whom seems to have mysteriously vanished at some point in his life. The generic sob story if you'd like to call it that. Wherever he's running around, whether it be in the woods or with whores, or if you're an opportunist, with whores in the woods, Atsui isn't too concerned. He figures that one day he'll meet his father when he's strong, and give him a good kick in the ass for never being around. Atsui's mother was never really a figure in his life, either, instead focusing entirely on his brother Zevas.
The two of them grew up together after their father disappeared, and they ended up facing their challenges in this way for as long as Atsui can remember. The journeys they've been on as kids and teens were made of mischief and the fun things that a childhood should be made of. Atsui never forgot his responsibility, however. He knew that he had to remain strong, and show that to others. While he had his brother, that did not remove an overwhelming feeling of loneliness that was brought upon him by having no other family to fall back on. The feeling often left as quickly as it came, a subtle reminder of his existence.
Still, that didn't stop him from becoming a different person in his mid-teens. Now under the rule of the Tsuchikage and claiming Iwagakure as his currently permanent home, he continues to better himself for future confrontations. Atsui particularly believes that he'll find his potential in the coming weeks, as there's a fire greater than that of his pipe burning within him.
