The First Test

ignis leaned a against a training log. Waiting egarly dressed in his full combat uniform, not much different, he just had his chest piece on with his sword strapped to his back. Ignis noticing this part of the training fields would serve nicely for his students first test, a test of battle. This was perfect, since he needed to see their skills in action.

Ignis waited patiently, knowing he said 0800, but the gwnin were not here yet. Did they not think he was unworthy, or did they just forget? No matter, if he wasn't worthy he would show them why he was. And well if they were late they would hate him wven more.

Ignis decided to give them more, to not sweat the small stuff. Ignis also decided itheu won't here soon he would go and get them. Feeling a large gust of wind out of no where he layyed on the nice comfortable ground. Not much of relaxing, but even Ignis knew staring at the clouds were great.
"These genin need to hurry up before I pass out, ilbecause if they wake me, it will be hell to pay." ilIgnis said as he closed his eyes, not dosing off but just listening to the nature around him

Nikolai was always one to show promptness when it came to meetings and other things. He was early again this time the sun was barely peeking over the horizon. He was sitting the the large tree on the main "stage" of the training grounds. When he saw his new sensei approch he jumped down from the tree with a back flip; landing right in front of his sensei. "Hello Sensei. Your here mighty early. Nervous?" Nikolai had the same blank smile he always had.

Seigi approached the training grounds, running swiftly along the path leading to the location where they were supposed to meet, his feet kicking up dust behind him. But, briefly, an idea spawned on Seigi. He wanted to know just how good this guy was. If he was ANBU black ops, then he should be able to easily dispatch someone if they tried to sneak up on them, right? Grinning, Seigi began to hatch a plan. They were here for their first test, right? A show of skill? As far as Seigi was concerned, the test had already begun.

Coming ever closer, Seigi slipped his sandals off to make his steps a bit quieter, then spied his Sensei. He was lying on the ground! The perfect chance for Seigi to attack had come.



Jumping into the nearest tree, Seigi sprang from branch to branch. He wanted to get into the perfect position before attacking. Noticing Nikolai had shown up, jumping out of a tree adjacent to him, Seigi made sure that he wouldn't hit him. Springing off of a branch, then jumping into the air over his Sensei, beginning to flip.

"Get ready, Ignis-Sensei!" Seigi bellowed, completing the flip, bringing his foo downward, toward Ignis.

0800. That's the time his sensei had appointed for their first official training session. Admittedly, Ayumu was awful with times and anything that involved promptness, so it was no surprise when he woke up way late. Pouncing himself out of bed, the young child quickly dressed himself and rushed out of his home, leaving the door unlocked. He rushed down the dirt roads of Konohagakure, bumping into several people on his way to the training grounds. Damn, I'm so late! Everyone is gonna be pissed! After a few minutes, he arrived at his destination. Just like he suspected, he had been late -- the others had already arrived, and his sensei was seemingly asleep. Oh, great... I'm so screwed! The Hyuuga rapidly went through every excuse imaginable in his head, but he could come up with nothing. "S-Sorry guys! I know I'm late but -- That's when he spotted his teammate aiming to crush his sensei.

"Sensei, watch out!"

Ignis, hearing the trees rustling, but feeling no wind on his skin, peeked out of his left eye. Noticing the youngest senju jump down from a tree limb. With not just a smirk but with the daring words that he soon will hate he said." Am I nervous? I might be, you could say, but not at the fact I'm fighting my three genin, but at the fact I don't think you three can handle it."

As soon as those words came out of his mouth, he heard a boy scream at him from above. Barely looking up If.is grabbed seigi's foot and gently gave it a twist. Not a hard enough twist to break it, but hard enough to change his course of direction. Where would he hit he wouldn't know but it wasn't his fault a genin came asking for trouble with. Sneak attack that the one doing the sneaking ruined.

At the same time of the not so sneak attack, Ignis heard the young Hyuuga scream for his sensei to watch out. A nice gesture but one that could have gotten the whole team killed, but once again he was only a genin that is one thing Ignis was going to fix, and he was gonna start today.

"Okay, gather around you three. Today's objective is to land 5 hits on me. Yes, only 5. Beware, though I am your sensei I will treat you as opponents, well to an extent anyway, but first before we begin I would like to say a few things. First if that attack, Seigi was indeed ment to cause harm and be a surprise. Don't shout it ruins it. Two, thank you young Cayuga, but if we were on a stealth mission you would have caused us our mission by shouting. And lastly Niko l, I like your spirit. We will see who will be nervous in the art of combat. Now let's begin. No fighting you three, work together."

With that Ignis took a nice jump to make distance between the three. Now 25 ft away he decided to jump into a tree to give them time to come up with a game plan. But he forgot to mention the time limit. But was it truly important, of course it was. "You three have in till dark by the way. Don't waste to much time. Begin when you guys are ready. Ill be waiting." Ignis waited patiently wonder what their game plan would be but only time will tell so he will wait in till they made a move. Either way the next move was on them.

Nikolai stood there still smiling as if he had no worries in the world. He watched as his team appeared in their own way one by one until they all stood next to each other. "Why would I be scared of Combat?" He asked Ignis while Ignis was jumping back. He then promptly turned to his comrades and began to form a plan. "So here's what we gonna do. I'll trap him or distract him and you two land the hits." Only Seigi and Ayumu could hear the words of the young Senju.

(Change of plans)

As Ignis waited behind a tree a few stories high, the genins started to brew a plan together.
I wonder what will transpire from this plan of theirs, Ignis thought. As he started to go and spy to see if the genins head were on fire yet, a aid of the hokage appeared beside Ignis.

" yes, how may I help you sweetheart?" The aid didn't respond.d but nudged a letter towards Ignis.
Ignis opened the letter and read that the hokage requested that Ignis and his team of Genins accompany him to the land of tea. Before the aid could leave, he grabbed her hand and spoke a few words. She nodded and vanished in a puff of smoke, just like how she got there. I must tell them.

Ignis came out of behind the tree holding his hands up." Training is cancelled,we have a mission. We must escort the Hokage to the Land of Tea. Meet us at the gates to Konoha in one hour don't be late or you can't go. It's best to show the Hokage will be there in fact. Wear combat clothes I case we have to protect him."

Ignis spun and left the training fields going.g to meet the hokage, but first he would have to make a trip by his cozy apartment. I must retrieve my anbu attire. If is would need that on this journey, knowing good and well his identity must not be compromised to cost the village. And he also knew he was a master medic that his skills would be needed for this mission. Ignis was now out of the training area moving with such grace and speed. I can not be late. And he was off

As Seigi went downward, his Sensei grabbed his foot and threw him to the side, like he was a ragdoll. Plummeting through the air, Seigi collided with the tree he had just recently jumped out of and fell downwards, hitting the ground. But quickly recovering, he grinned, a fierce look of determination upon his demeanor. He wouldn't let the fluke get in the way of his goal.

Upon hearing their newly commissioned objective, Seigi's grin grew to a huge smile. Their first mission already, huh? This would be his chance to prove his worth and that he wasn't just another run of the mill ninja. His instructor then left, leaving him with his three team mates.

"Alright guys, I'm gonna go grab my gear and I'll meet you guys at the gates!" Seigi gave them a thumbs up before jumping backwards, into the tree, and then swiftly making his way back to the village, to get his sword from his house, along with a few other items.

Nikolai nodded to his sensei before running off. He was heading home to grab a few things. He wasn't to keen on sudden changes of plan like this, but he knew he had no other choice in the matter considering what the circumstances were for them changing their training plans. This was going to be interesting and that is for sure.
