Sanroku is a shinobi that prides himself in not having an elemental specialty, although he worries the fact that he may be born without one, thus making him inferior to those possessing elements. If it wasn’t for the Raikages “Find Yourself Mission,” Sanroku would have never aspired to train his first element. Elemental jutsus are befitting, yet they tend to fill up a shinobis jutsu arsenal quickly with senseless techniques. Nevertheless, Sanroku hates to think of himself as an inferior. The young Akuma then began to meditate in order to truly find himself. The young genin collected all of the elements, having a cup of water, a lantern lit for fire, a pile of dirt for earth, and an empty jar, filled with air. The lightning element is a unique element and if it is Sanrokus affinity, then it will come inherently, but it is hard to control that element without the right power to do so. Sanroku will attempt to move the water slightly in order to create ripples with his will, if this works then he is a water elemental specialist. With the lantern, Sanroku will attempt to make the fire dance, and if this works this will make him a fire elemental specialist. With the pile of dirt, Sanroku will attempt to flatten the small landscape, and if this works, he will be an earth elemental specialist. The empty jar is supposed to be made to explode by the pressure of air within by Sanrokus will, and if this is a success, then that would mean Sanroku would be a wind, elemental specialist. The Lightning Release, better known as Raiton that is needed for the Lightning fighting style is one of the five basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement. The electricity paralyses the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to a finishing strike. While uncommon to most except those with the lightning elemental specialty and the weapons fighting style, lightning can be infused into bladed weapons through chakra flow for increased piercing power through vibrations, with the added effect of inducing numbness. When the technique is released from the shinobis body it does not move as fast as true lightning. Instead, due to the control the user has to exert over it, it moves far slower, which gives opponents proper time to still react. Lightning Release is common for the shinobi of Kumogakure, and this is why Sanroku is wishing truthfully to have that as his affinity. It would be a proper testimony to his loyalty to Kumogakure if lightning is made his birth elemental affinity. So while meditating, Sanroku honestly forgot about the other elemental tests and attempted mostly to produce the lightning element. The way Sanroku wanted to use the lightning element is to have it travel through his skin in order to create an electrical serge.
Sanroku meditated and stayed focused into his cause as he reminisced about the times he could have used an element to his name. The lightning element although not coming to real use lately can still come to massive usefulness in the future. Things were becoming clear, as lightning began to spark through Sanrokus clothing. It wasn’t by chance that this was happening, this gave proof to the lightning element being Sanrokus true elemental affinity, although he is not well versed in the style thus he must keep on meditating in order to produce more sparks and turn his body into a conductive source for his inner electrical powers. Sanroku focused and pored all of his energy into trying to create this harmless electricity. The vein on his head was beginning to show and even on his neck as it became clear that Sanroku was not breathing, as he was attempting twice as hard to create this surge. Breathing became a secondary focus to Sanrokus primary element and when Sanroku was ready to give up he let out a big scream and yelled out the top of his lunges as the lightning release element began to shower him for just a secant. Sanroku then exhausted, got ready to tell the secretary about his accomplishment in order to get his 50 ryo reward.
