Day: 1
The boat ride had been an annoying trip, taking almost six or seven hours even with as fast as he was paddling the damn thing to go. Ever since he became a Jounin years ago, he wanted to come to the Turtle Island in order to get a serious amount of training in. About two weeks ago, he was first named Raikage, but the village Shinobi Council, and a day after that he began to his training regime again. Today would be counted as day Thirteen, once re reached the island and began his days training. Hana, and even his friend Katsuro, was curious as to why he'd be training so hard, after all the world was at it's longest sustained peace, and here he was killing himself in his training.
Even when told them why, they thought he was being paranoid. He couldn't seem to exactly explain why he felt something was wrong but he knew there was, he could feel it in his soul, and it troubled him beyond belief. This is what led him to his current thinking, he was strong but he wasn't strong enough he could push himself further, he could be better. He needed to, he had a Genin of his own now that he had to worry about, and if he wasn't strong enough to make sure they were ready how would he be able to say he tried his hardest.
It was then, that a strange curved looking island became visible in the distance, it was obviously an island, most definitely the one he was looking for. A smirk spread on Achilles face as he continue rowing ready to come ashore and finally get started on what he had planned on doing. He had sent a Messenger Hawk ahead of time, having the side he was going to for the Island care takers to be relocated to the other side of the island for their safety.
Once ashore, Achilles hopped out of the boat, anxious as he pulled the rope with him, pulling also the boat and typing it onto a rather large log, which he assumed was part of a makeshift pier that was destroyed. After doing so, he patted the large scroll left in the boat and lifted it up and strapped it to his back, it certainly saved him from having to carry several packs of things he'd need to live here for the next week or so. It all depended on how much training he could get in, hopefully he would be back sooner, but it was hard telling.
Making his way inland he soon came upon the house he'd be staying at for his duration here, and sighed it looked pieced together well enough. It was a simple one story building, made of wood, all of which came from the island he imagined, though he would have liked something a bit more cozy. This became even more so true when he walked in and noticed the ground was pretty much the same story, all wood, some of which wasn't sanded down really well. There would be many a splinter found on accident while he was here.
Putting down his scroll he began to walk into the kitchen looking for a cast iron pot which was actually easier then he had thought it would be. Grabbing the pot he quickly ran outside where he filled the pot in the ocean water, and brought it back to where he was staying. Using some rocks that were scattered about he built a stone like fire pit where he sat the cast iron pot on top of. Now came the interesting part.
Achilles began to place his hand to the side of the pot and began to concentrate and focus his chakra. Trying to turn up the heat as it were, comparatively to his Raiton and Fuuton training he assumed, Katon would be considerably easier to learn. It didn't seem to be the case, as hours later, he could feel himself lacking a considerable amount of chakra yet, the water hadn't even boiled a little bit. "Ugh, this is not going to be as easy as I had hoped."
He wasn't even close to ready to give up though, as he continued to sit there, stubbornly focusing his chakra the best he could trying to find the source of his Katon element within himself. He knew there was no way he was going to get it as quickly as a single day or training, but it didn't mean he wasn't going to spend every second trying. This became more evident as the sun began to come up, yet Achilles had yet to move from his spot, still trying to push as much Katon chakra as he could through his hand.
Despite feeling a bit tired, he'd continued to do so, until a painful tingling sensation began to hiss and pierce at the palm of his hand. Excitedly he placed his other hand on the pot only to feel the cool iron, confused he pulled up his other hand to see, first degree burns. "Well." Shaking his hand and pouring some canteen water on his hand, "At least I'm on the right track." Getting up, he felt a little dizzy, after having been focusing his chakra since the previous day, he was pretty sure he was near chakra exhaustion, but he got a lot of work in that day.
