The countless emerald blades of grass whispered amongst each other as a breeze of wind rolled by. It looked like a luscious head of green hair to Kobachi who stood in the middle of the field awaiting his sensei. Today he would be sparring him, the Genin didn't have intentions of winning, but he did have intentions of trying to his absolute best and giving the Jounin a run for his money.

Mochi was present a distance away in the grass chasing bugs and butterflies, but Kobachi was seated in the grass focusing his chakras in preparation.

Yet another mission with his Genin it seems.  Or multiple.  Someone had recently posted several missions that went with a single fight Curiously enough, He and Kobachi had been assigned this peculiar set of missions.  Personally he had no doubt he would be able to defeat his opponent unless something insane happened like Kobachi releasing some of the forbidden Taijutsu gates, which in all honesty was unlikely a genin would possess such talents.

The same field where the first squad meeting happened Kobachi had chosen to have the fight.  This time the emerald grass was already blowing in the wind and probably wasn't obscuring some Uchiha girl getting ready to pounce on the unsuspected Genin.

"Just so you know Kobachi," he said with a smile, "I won't be holding anything back and I don't expect you to either."  He gave the Genin a nod before he he offered him his hand to shake.  Once the hand was shaken he would retreat to a semi safe distance before he assumed a stance, the same one he saw at the Squad meeting, and mentally prepared himself for the fight that was about to come.

Kobachi was glad to hear his sensei wouldn't be holding back, because he didn't plan to either. Shaking his head and stepping back a bit, his eyes undeniably became like razors, rather than their typical turned up smile. Mochi peeked up from the grass looking over at the event that was about to unfold and made some more distance in fear of the violence. "Of course I will try to do the best I can." Seeing the stance his sensei entered he saw he was taking the taijutsu approach. Normally Kobachi would love the chance to go blow for blow with his sensei, but right now it was crunch time. Starting a run at a moderate pace, the teen gripped Furrashu then tossed it at the Jounin. This toss was to make the Jounin react of course and as he would Kobachi would swoop into strike him while his body was shifted to evade the blade or while his weight was off from a small hop.

As soon as Kobachi would see the man begin to move to dodge, his frame would jerk, but an image of him would remain in the place frozen. Appearing beside the Jounin, not on the side the Bladerang would have travelled, Kobachi's fist would be moving in towards the side of the mans torso or his ribs. He didn't expect much out of it, but a successful strike would sure make the teens day.

Katsuro smiled as his Genin also agreed to hold nothing back.  He did a mental stock of weapons he had at his disposal.  Fists, Kunai, Chakra, and his mind.  He knew the limits of his body and suspected the limits of his student.  Metal boomerang that seems a bit deadly but he knew the limits to everything at his disposal.  Taijutsu and weaponry would be easy for him to avoid or use to his opponent's disadvantage.

He smirked as he watched his young opponent begin the attack.  First at a moderate run then with the throw of the boomerang with an apparent trajectory at his chest.  He carefully watched the boomerang, not worrying about his opponent for the moment.  And then he put a scared look on his face, one that should have been visible to the young Genin as the blade impacted his Jounin vest.  His eyes went wide as if he felt his life slipping away.  He stood there a minute trying to let what just happened sink into his opponent before the face of fear suddenly changed to a smirk.

He reached with his hands and pulled the boomerang from the dented Jounin vest before dropping it on the ground.  His opponent was suddenly out of a decent weapon and Katsuro was still mostly alive, albeit with a giant bruise forming on his chest.  He retained the defensive posture and continued to smirk at his Genin.

With his opponent not moving to dodge Kobachi was a little confused and then WAM! The Bladerang connected and Kobachi stopped in his tracks about 3m away. His expression was a bit worried, but then he saw his sensei had pranked him. Very funny it all was, but Kobachi would slyly move back into battle mode without hinting his sensei the slightest bit. As it appeared as if he stood there with his shocked expression, the Genin was actually now behind his sensei by a few meters slightly off his shoulder. Then from that position he would leap in the air to slam down an axe kick on the Jounin's head. The afterimage from the first dash would prove to create the illusion that Kobachi was still surprised at the sight he had seen his sensei go through, but he would be steadily moving at top speed to blast the Jounin in the dome for above. His movements being leaps or lunges rather than steps, so they would make no noise to alert the man of the oncoming assault and if struck he would find himself face down into the earth with a pounding headache and disoriented quite a bit.

Katsuro kept his calm exterior as he watched his student disappear but inside he was clapping with glee over the speed of his opponent.  A frontal assault would be a death trap for Kobachi, given he didn't know about the associated Jutsu with this style, which he probably didn't.  Of course that left four avenues of attack.  His right was within reach of his defense while the left left him open as did the rear, but not if he had an inkling of hint at the attack.  That left an attack from air as the only other possibility.  Then it hit him.  Literally right on the top of the head.  Probably would have killed a lesser man but Katsuro had a head made of Mokuton, or that's what his mother used to say.

The impact forced him to the ground and gave him a headache but he was a true shinobi and willing to go on even under those lady like circumstances.  The emerald grass felt like the bosom of a skinny lady, that is flat and hard.  He quickly rolled to his right before pushing himself into a standing position.  His defensive style was over.  He couldn't just do that same style either as that wouldn't be clever and Katsuro was just that.  Clever.  Katsuro gave a smirk and waited with his hands ready to perform a certain jutsu that would break the young boy of his jumping around.  He just wanted to wait until he could see the little shit.

Seeing his strike connected he rejoiced internally and Mochi rejoiced externally. Small paws clapping could faintly be heard along with excited chatter. Though he tried to hold it back, it made the Genin smile, but he shook it away. Having honor and morals he would watch as his sensei came to a stand, but also pick up his weapon. With the Jounin up Kobachi nodded before proceeding with the spar. As his Sensei was up he noticed his stance was gone. With his rank and experience this was no mistake and meant he was probably going to switch up his fighting from Taijutsu to Ninjutsu. Jumping back to a mid range so he would have ample time to defend, but also room to move in if an opening presented itself, the Genin would wait for his sensei this time, but in a Taijutsu stance. The left side of his body would be facing his opponent and his knees would be bent slightly, more weight on his right foot than left and his right arm lightly pulled back.

Katsuro smiled.  His opponent was smart for his age.  Obviously his change in stand was something to be feared and he was right to stay back.  But his original plan was ruined so he formed his hands together into a form of seals.  Ram. Snake. Tiger. Then, hidden from Kobachi's view, another Ram hand seal was performed. Half a millisecond after that a puff of smoke clouded the Jounin.  After the smoke was gone, Katsuro was still there.  Or seemingly so as the Jounin began running towards his opponent with the speed of the Jounin.  On the face of the Jounin was a look of grim determination as if he meant the death of the Genin.

As he the Jounin neared the Genin he seemingly got ready to begin a series of Taijutsu strikes.  Hopefully to disable the Genin before he got any bright ideas about jumping around again.

Meanwhile, on the backside of Kobachi, hopefully in the young Genin's blindspot, another Katsuro landed with the ease of a taijutsu expert and experienced Shinobi.

OOC: Not sure what kinda strike da real you is attempting, but I guess I'll find out later.

The Genin took in a breath as he prepared for the Jounin's Ninjutsu. His chakra was steady pulsing throughout his body feeding each muscle with the enhancing energies. It all just seemed like a flash. As the hands began to move the Genin's eyes couldn't possibly read with the speed they were performed at. Then the puff of smoke, Kobachi felt his blood pump harder throughout his body as his body warmed up in anxiety. Rushing out of the plume of smoke was Hatsuro or whom Kobachi believed was Katsuro his sensei, but soon the clone was easily saw through. Reason being, it had no substance. No noise to its step in the grass, the grass didn't even move or bend under it's steps actually, that wasn't what was really noticed by Kobachi though. What the Genin did notice was the lack of a shadow underneath. So assuming Katsuro wouldn't attack his own clone, which would be foolish seeing how he was trying to fool Kobachi with it, the Genin quickly stepped towards the illusion. As Kobachi's solid frame touched the clone it faded to nothingness, proving Kobachi's claim was true.

Instead of simply stepping forward which would of course be stupid, the Genin also pivoted to turn to face the direction his back was previously turned to. Katsuro obviously wasn't in front of him before and a back attack was a smart idea and the tactic Kobachi had used before so he felt his sensei would be there. Three feet forward and turned around now facing his previous six o'clock, Kobachi solidified his stance and began to use a style known as the Scorpion Formation. It was created by him himself and still needed work, so when better to test something out than in areal scenario?

'Definitely smarter than the average bear', thought Katsuro as he watched his student attack the fake sensei.  But the trap had be laid and the Genin had falled right into it.  Now all Katsuro had to do was decide what he wanted to do with his young protege.  Definitely should try to bring the fight up close and personal again. But Landing a jutsu strike would net him two hundred and fifty ryo.  Without a sight, Katsuro rotated his fit, switching into an offensive stance, before pushing off with his lead foot.  Despite his opponent just being a Genin, Katsuro was going to keep his word and hold nothing back, though he would reveal his full hand just yet.

He felt his face become warm and his heart start to beat faster as adrenaline flooded his system.  The emerald field now held a chance of become a red with the blood of the either of them as the fight was just beginning.  Both seemed to have adopted their own fighting styles and now it was strictly up to who was the better fighter, or the better tactician.

After closing the distance between them, Katsuro brought his hands together in a single handsign, Ram, before a spike of wood appeared in his hand. Breaking it off he gave a simple thrust at the Genin's upper right hand side of his chest.  The location should be devoid of major organs in the case of the strike landing but also hopefully cause enough damage for the Genin to concede the fight.

With his sensei closing in he was glad he had chosen to enter the Scorpion Formation, its purpose was for countering close quarter fighters and though Kobachi thought it would be hand to hand combat, the outcome would still hopefully flow in the teens favor. As the man came in towards to Taijutsu enthusiast, he wasted no time to attempt a strike on his sensei. With the man having closed in the distance, this would be as his hands were moving to make a single handseal, a speed Kobachi's strike wouldn't be able to surpass, but he felt it was now or never. This is what he spent all of those days training for anyhow, moments like these where he would give it his all to prove he was of the upper echelon of Genin in Kumogakure. With his strike coming in towards his sensei, during his choice of motions, all of them wouldn't be able to be completed. The man still had to spawn the wood, break it off, then thrust at him, this would consume too much time with both combatants being at the same level when it came to Taijutsu and striking speed, but nothing was ever absolute.

The incoming attack from Kobachi would be one turned back left hand that would twist as it went to dig into the body of the Jounin where his kidneys would be located. Normally unreachable, but with the added twist and the pointed fingers, his strike would simulate a piercing blow allowing him to tap the organ giving a very uncomfortable and sharp pain to his sensei if struck. Along with the pain though would more importantly come a time lapse or stun, this would give Kobachi time to continue his combination seamlessly. If the stunning blow that would come in a flash landed, a merciless right palm strike would zoom into the mans chest at fullpower. Even if his hands were still there the teen would hit the left chest instead making the hearts beat stop for a moment. This would progress the pain from the first strike and also build onto the frozen feeling the man would feel.

If the primary blow landed, the second blow would, and from there the man would be at the mercy of the Genin who had hopes of annihilating his sensei here and now. Dextrous would be the term to describe how his left hand went to work to once more to swing around to the side of the mans throat, then the right closed as a fist digging into the mans gut deep with an augmented twist like before to make the blow dig in deeper to the mans body. Then to finish the short, but brutal combo, Kobachi's right foot would blast upwards from his current stance, reaching almost one hundred and eighty degrees vertically. This strike would be aimed for the chin or bottom of the jaw and would launch Katsuro sky high. There was no doubt that the combo would heavily disorient and weaken him, possibly ending the fight then, but if not then the finisher would have just begun, for Kobachi had a move in his arsenal he had been itching to use.

Katsuro overestimated his speed as he moved within the striking distance of his opponent.  Even teachers made mistakes apparently.  But that didn't stop him from trying to follow through with his attack.  The spike had already formed from his own cells when he saw the left hand snake out and strike at him in the same manner a scorpion's tail would.  A simple elbow block was all it took to stop the Genin's strike in it's tracks.  A kidney strike wouldn't finish a fight so he knew it was probably a combo attack.

Thinking quickly, he raised his elbow and leveled the spike towards his student's chest.  Despite them both being at apparently the same level of taijutsu ability, Katsuro's years of experience gave him the advantage over his young opponent.  He was stronger and faster than him and wouldn't be defeated by a child, though he would boost his ego.  Not by much though.  In the same moment as when he raised his elbow, he pushed the spike towards the right shoulder of his opponent, which had shifted forward as he brought his open palm to strike at his chest.  Katsuro couldn't allow that to happen.

If the plan worked, the spike would enter the right shoulder of the Genin hopefully cutting through the muscle that allowed the arm to move forward and backwards while also doing damage to the joint.  If it didn't work the spike still would most likely enter the Genin's body somewhere on his right side.  Hopefully nowhere near the lung or artery.

If they kept progressing at this rate the emerald grass would soon become crimson and one of them would need to be hospitalized.  Hopefully it was the student and not the teacher.

As the twisting strike came in towards his sensei, the man had successfully moved his elbow down to block Kobachi's strike. Eye's moving the see the mans spiked weapon now in his hand, Kobachi narrowed them back on his general target as his arm was raised in the maneuver. Though they harbored about the same amount of skill in Taijutsu, Katsuro's age and experience would surely place him a bit further ahead than the young seedling.

Next the pointed spike would be moved in to puncture the Genin. Kobachi was proud to see his sensei truly was going for the win and not just holding back in to not cause major harm to him. Kobachi wasn't either and this truly showed that the man respected the Genin enough to go for a blow like this. But . . . it wouldn't be permitted. The blade indeed did zoom in, but the Genin would avoid thewrath of the crippling spike. His hand resting on the Jounin's elbow, he figured it would be best to execute Furrashu once again at this moment.

Simple, but effective, this would offset Katsuro's strike making it ending location now off of Kobachi's right side by at least four inches. While this would happen the Genin would exclude the step from his Furrashu and apply the revitalizing chakra from the technique to his next blow. The original combo he wanted to execute had been ruined, but that did not mean the point he wanted to make with it wouldn't be realized. This point was that the Genin could be an exceptional ninja with little talent in the non physical arts and even if his point wasn't shown through brutal contact, it would be shown through a unique mix of his personal style and Strong Fist. With Scorpion Formation his actions would be attempted to be precise in making and taking advantages of openings. Then with Strong Fist, with the openings created he would devastate his opponents with animalistic brutality. And luckily one could have just emerged.

With Katsuro's leading offensive arm now torqued across his body, Kobachi had the moment he needed. Just like planned before, his foot would erupt from the grass underneath him and rush towards the chin of his sensei. The thought of more sharp spokes projecting out of the mans body did trouble him, but he also remembered in both instances he saw the man use them, the ram seal had to be preformed, it wasn't as if the thought had slowed down his actions any, for in fact they made him move at his maximum speed as he did them, so he wouldn't get skewered into a mess.

If the strike mentioned landed then the Genin would act to win. His target possibly airborne, Kobachi would choose to go all out in an effort to win now. If locked in the air like hoped, Katsuro would also find himself stunned and disoriented from the blow meant to knock his equilibrium off set and in addition to the first blow to the head he had felt before. Then Kobachi would use his newly unleashed strength from his Shuddering Strike to propel himself into his opponent with a single leg extended toward his gut. Moving at a speed that would be considered a flicker to those without trained or blessed eyes, his sensei could find himself defeated at the hands of the prodigy as the blow would not hit once, but three times at a monstrous force.

A smile formed on the Jounin's face as he felt his arm being pushed off target by around four inches.  The genin was a good Taijutsu fighter but he didn't think ahead.  He had seen him use the spike before but did he really know the full extent he could use it.  Definitely not, unless he had another Senju to watch who used the same combat techniques as him.  The smile would also be evident on the Jounin's face as, with a single mental thought, activated the branches that made the C rank technique may more powerful than a C Rank should be.

As soon as the mental thought went out spikes erupted from the spike went in different directions.  One went towards Kobachi's right shoulder while another went towards Kobachi's right leg.  Another branch tried to pierce the genin's right side.  The other branches that had formed from the spike were nowhere near the genin's body but the damage wasn't done.  Katsuro would follow through with the attack as well.  He would push the spike with the branches as far as his arm would reach.  Hopefully the pain from the branches moving around in the body of the Genin would ruin his will to fight and cause the genin to concede.

Of course even if the branch attacking the Genin's right knee didn't stop it, Katsuro would send a a single, powerful punch towards the Genin's genitalia.  Katsuro was a firm believe in all is fair in love and war, especially nut punching.  If the kick did connect to the Jounin's chin, Katsuro would enjoy his flight into the air, probably talking to the birds that would flit around his stunned head.

With the armada of spikes emerging from the spike, apparently Kobachi's understanding of the jutsu his sensei wielded was incorrect. Pain flooded his body as blood splatter onto the grass below making it look like an ugly Christmas Sweater. Mochi squealed and covered his eyes as he witnessed what he saw his master go through. "AHHG!" If he knew how to, better believe Kobachi would have cursed at the top of his lungs to match the yell he let loose, but he wasn't a warrior for nothing. Skewered like a pork roast or not, the fight would continue, just like it would in the real world. "I WON'T LOSE EASY TO ANY PERSON!" His left hand that was gripping his sensei's arm in pain and rage would blur, but that's only if the man was paying any attention to it and not to caught up in his own success. A chop moving at untold speeds, backed with adrenaline, rage, and drive, would close in towards the neck of the Jounin hoping to bring the man to his knees and make him have the need to cough up his own vocal cords with an excess of blood. Though the Genin wasn't one for anger, when one went to the extent to damage his body that he worked hard on and respected and valued so hard, his gifts from the Gods in the skies . . . you better bet all hell would break loose in the hormone filled mannerisms Kobachi would act in. In other words, no mercy . . .

The chop that would blink to his sensei's neck would be the signature Shudder Strike, that had struck the man before. Meaning three blows to the neck could actually be expected, rather than a simple lone chop. This would undoubtedly bring the man to his knee's before he could hope to snag the spiked weapon to further damage the boys body more than he had. "When you . . . He paused in pain. "When you hurt my gift from the deity's, I have no mercy to give you." Surely killing wasn't going to be in the mix of things, but Kobachi would make his point be known to the man who had crossed a line he probably didn't know existed. If Katsuro was indeed on his knees or lowered in front of the boy, the blade Furrashu would be jammed into the right side of his body using his own left, more so the shoulder area similar to Kobachi's affliction. The blade wouldn't be big enough to take the mans arm off with a stab, but it would be pretty damn close with its size, and it would easily pierce with the force behind it.

If needed, the Genin would have no issue slouching over to complete these actions if the spike that was the father of these many branches was brought down as well. Pulling the blade out of the man if he was stabbed through, Kobachi would chop the branches off close to his body as to not be rooted to the spike anymore then drop it onto the blade covered grass with weak hands. By now his sensei would be recovering from the chop, but the muscle damage Kobachi felt again pushed him to show the man a great example of karma and his passion to not be defeated. His left fist clinched itself up as did his teeth as they gritted against each other fighting off the pain.

Releasing a battle cry expressing his internal vigor that could only be personified as a dying star experiencing death in the beautiful form of a super nova, once more the left would lead the assault as it had relieved itself of the Bladerang.Direct contact would be made if allowed and accompanying it would be a blast of wind in the shape of the Genin's fist, but it would be the size of a basketball. This shot of air pressure would be fired as the mans face would just leave Kobachi's fist if the fist landed. That meant two punches one right after another would be hurled at Katsuro, in his face, at a more than considerable speed. If struck, he would find himself knocked back by the blow and if still conscious, Kobachi felt he could unleash the final strike his technique allowed him, before admitting defeat and blacking out from pain and the lose of chakra. There was only so much one could do with the help of adrenaline and along with these actions, it gave him guidance to one teaching that was embedded in his brain back in his tribe. "A cornered cat becomes a Lion."

A normal person would have felt something if they had pierced the flesh of another human being, especially so if it had been their student, but Katsuro wasn't a normal teacher.  His role was to make sure his Genin were ready for the brutal life of a shinobi and he was more than willing to do this.  He listened as his student screamed in pain and then listened to him scream at him.  Katsuro didn't dwell on the lack of obscenities a normal person would have let out had they been stabbed in three different places.

The feeling of a sticky liquid and the stench of copper made Katsuro's jaw clench.  He gave the emerald grass a splotchy crimson color just as he had expected to happen during the fight.  His student didn't give up and neither did he.

Katsuro felt the anger pouring form his student as the first karate chop collided with his muscular neck.  The attack did bring the man to his knees.  But as he sank to one knee he pushed the spikes towards Kobachi's body as he lowered his arm.  The movement of the spikes inside of the Genin's body, hopefully cutting deeper and causing more damage internally, would have caused most genin to concede defeat, which was Katsuro's main plan from the outset.  Then he felt the blade the Genin had used earlier dig into his side.  'An injured animal is more dangerous than a healthy one' mused Katsuro as he instinctively moved his free hand to grab the Genin's wrist, the one wielding the blade.  He held the wrist so the blade couldn't be removed from his side.  Hopefully he would be able to stop the blade from being extricated from his side before he was able to regain his standing position.

If he should be able to regain his stance, a quick and brutal knee strike would be sent towards the Genin's left rib cage before he would strike out with his head and attempt to strike the Genin's nose with his forehead protector.  If he wasn't able to regain his feet he would wait to see if the genin attempted a knee strike.

"Admit your defeat."

OOC: Regaining 25 chakra from cancelled actions

As the spikes were moved the Genin winced in pain, but wouldn't allow such a petty tactic hinder his advances to end the battle. With his actions following through, he was surprised when a hand was moved towards his wrist used to stab his sensei . . . this wouldn't be allowed. The man free hand was his own left, so the travel distance was enough to give Kobachi ample time to react. He immediately pulled the blade out as he saw the hand coming to grab his own, this causing more pain to the Jounin who was probably cursing his choice right now. The man was fairing quite well though. Somehow he had managed to no tank one, but two direct blows from the Shinobi. Both being direct hits to the head then neck, Kobachi wouldn't let the fruits of his training go unnoticed and in his eyes, doing his best wasn't satisfying enough at this point. He wanted to win he wanted to make his sensei writhe in anger at him, he wanted his sensei to feel as much pain as he was enduring as he had turned the withdrawal of his blade into hopefully what was an act of shaming.

Kobachi's hand wouldn't hesitate the slightest bit to return, giving his sensei little to no time to react to this short ranged action, that could easily be adjusted to end his life. The blade would be aimed straight for the head of the man, surely appearing to be aimed to stab straight through Katsuro's head and just end his life, but instead it would stop prematurely. This being a stab, if his hand was in the way, Kobachi would have a no issue with going straight through the extension to stop at the mans face. "This is enough." Kobachi would speak while breathing heavily, the pain in his side being the worse as opposed to the pain in his leg or arm. His chest would noticeably rise, but would deflated in small repetition as each breath was painful to release. He would stare into the eyes of Katsuro, but they would hold a different glimmer, this time they would have rage pupil up behind the black pupils that seemed to be like bullet holes in Kobachi's eye as he would stare at Katsuro.

Katsuro knew he must end the fight quickly.  He was losing blood and his student was losing blood a lot faster than him.  The recovery would be a long one but it would be well worth it.  His student learned a valuable lesson.  At least he hoped he did.  Don't underestimate your opponent and don't leave yourself open.  Of course, Katsuro learned that very same lesson from his student.

Of course now there was the problem of a blade flying at his face.  He watched Kobachi's eyes as he waited for the blade to strike him down.  Which it didn't.  This was his chance.  With Kobachi and himself looking straight at each other, his useable hand would be unseen, hidden beneath Katsuro's torqued arm and Kobachi's own arm.  A single handsign.  And one that students often used to begin their schoolyard bouts.  The Sign of Confrontation.  Even if Kobachi saw it he probably wouldn't recognize the meaning of it.  Not until the giant ass Wooden Dragon erupted from the ground and stood over Kobachi.  If the genin attempted in killed the Jounin, the dragon would simply crush them both.

Of course just as he performed the seal of confrontation he would speak only a few words.  "Admit defeat Genin before you bleed out.  Your lesson is over but if you wish to continue there is one lesson we must all learn eventually."  As he finished speaking the wooden dragon would come from the ground and hover over the two fighters.  If Kobachi could still think with the blood loss he should realize that even if he did kill the Jounin, he would still lose the fight by being crushed by the Wooden Dragon. This time his hand offered the Seal of Reconciliation to the Genin, though no jutsu would be formed from it.

As the Genin stood there waiting for his sensei to respond he felt his body cooldown and the adrenaline begin to leave his veins. It was only a matter of time before he fainted from blood loss and chakra usage. Then in the silence the earth began to rumble. Did the man really think that when using such a large scale jutsu that no sign of it would be evident before its arrival? Kobachi surely could have struck his sensei down, but instead as the blade was held directly in the mans face Kobachi slowly shook his head in denial. With the dragon coming through the earths surface, the Genin was indeed awe struck, but more so amazed that his Sensei would go to such lengths. "I . . ." He took a breath and that alone was painful with the cluster of roots in his right side, specifically the ones in his rib. "I could have struck you . . . while the dragon was . . . coming, but this is a spar . . ." He dropped the blade and his shoulders dropped. "So there isn't a reason to continue." Given the limitations the fight was set up with, this would be the only time the Genin would be caught giving up a battle, if him falling backwards unconscious could be considered giving up.

The sight would earn a squeal of discontent as Mochi would scurry onto his masters body and stand up to Katsuro and the Wooden Dragon. Though terrifying, the small simian wouldn't let any further harm befall Kobachi as long as he was alive.

Katsuro smiled. He would have indeed been struck down had it been a real fight but there should have been enough chakra used to activate that it would have been able to breach the earth and attack the enemy. Of course he didn't plan on testing that hypothesis anytime soon. As the Genin began to fall backwards, Katsuro reached out with his good hand, the one previously holding the Seal of Reconciliation and grabbed the kid by the Gi. He didn't want the kid to suffer head trauma as well as the massive injuries he had just suffered.

Curiously, after setting the Genin to the ground, he watched the monkey stand up to both him and the massive wooden dragon. Katsuro would never admit to losing a fight but he nearly did. He had underestimated the skill of his opponent and suffered wounds because of it. He wouldn't do that again. Even if it was a scrawny Genin.

With a grunt of pain, and one arm hanging limp at his side, he took a knee next to the wounded genin. With a quick pull and forceful pull, Katsuro pulled the branches from the genin's wounds, causing it to bleed more. Without a second thought he rolled the kid onto his stomach, reached underneath him, and stood bringing Kobachi under the crook of his arm.

"Bring the blade to the hospital," He said to the monkey before disappearing in an instant that only a jounin could do. Soon the Wood Dragon sunk back into the ground, leaving a filled in hole where he had come from.
