Syndra

~Training/Teaching~

The village was in troubling times, a recent attack on the village's outer wall and the kidnapping of a young shinobi at the same time caused quite a bit of panic in the village the last couple days. Because of the recent attack and one of the housing districts being destroyed, Syndra has been at the hospital quite a bit tending to the villagers wounds and things like that. Being a medic was a very busy job, there was always someone being injured. It was even more busy on the battlefield, you were always a target to enemy shinobi squads and you always had to watch others backs.

Thankfully though, the hospital has died down some. Giving Syndra some free time, although she can always be found at the hospital just because she was one of the most renown medical shinobi in the Land of Fire. Today the Hokage explained that a genin in the village seemed to be quite skilled in Ijutsu or Medical based techniques. Because of this, he tasked Syndra with teaching the young genin a thing or two about medical jutsu.

Syndra would be waiting in the back garden of the hospital where she would be sitting on a wooden stool near a large cherry blossom tree, where its petals decorated the ground. Sitting next to Syndra was a bucket of fish that were in water. These special fish were capable living outside of water for a couple hours, but couldn't move or anything like that. Because of this, they were used to practice medical ninjutsu on.

Syndra was dressed in an black long sleeve turtle neck with the neck rolled down some so her neck was still visible, a grey jounin flak jacket with pointed shoulder guards, black shinobi styled pants that stopped at her shins but her shins were not visible due to the bandages she wore from her ankles to her pants line, and black standard shinobi sandals. She was pale skinned, light blue eyes, and long snow white hair that was held back in a long ponytail that was held together by three black hair rings. The moon marking on her forehead was covered by forehead protector that bore Konoha's village symbol. Strapped to her right thigh was shuriken holster and strapped to her right back hip was a tool carrying pouch.

As she sat on the wooden stool waiting with her legs crossed, looking some what intimidating and beautiful. She would speak to herself in a whisper, "Where is this genin?" She asked herself while waiting for this young genin to arrive.

She usually would go through her day at school alongside her classmates yet as separate from them as possible. It was a pretty normal day, she was quiet and near the front of the classroom observing the natural surroundings. As the class was ended and the students all rushed out to join comrades in play or train she was stopped by a hand on her shoulder. The teacher had stopped her only to hand her a note and tell her to meet up with someone who needed to talk to her. She looked over the note as she walked out and traveled to the clinic to find the said person. She looked on to the other students hanging out then looked down frowning and somehow hoping they would stop her from going but it wasn't so.

As she neared upon the destination she saw someone, a woman sitting there looking around. Hitomi herself took the time to quickly review the note given on the person and the task to see it was a training requirement. She sighed knowing she couldn't get out of this but also knew this wouldn't just become a buddy meet up either so it did calm her nerves from fear. She looked to the woman once more then stopped walking and stood still around 4-5 feet in front of her. She then asked out of her usual silence. "A-are you...Miss Syndra?" Her small voice called out holding up the task document she had towards her.

Her question still lingered in the air as she looked at her in a more serious tone, leaving less room to fear and more room to train. "Hitomi Shiruku...Genin." She stated as if it were a serious conference making sure to sound readily able. Her mind set ready but still the question would linger, why would she need to train in such advanced jutsu, weren't all students required the normal amount? Either ways she couldn't rudely ask for it was a somewhat gift and honor to be asked to take the task on. With such she put aside the question in her mind to focus on the now.

Syndra

Syndra would glance up at Hitomi as she approached her. Syndra could just tell by the appearance of the girl that she was a shy one. Seeing her brought back memories of Syndra's childhood where she wished had someone teach her this healing technique so she could have saved her best friend back then. She then shook off the flashback and then focused on the girl once more. She didn't reply when the girl asked if she was "Miss Syndra". But, when the girl introduced herself with a bit more courage Syndra nodded slightly and smiled at the girl a tad.
"Syndra Tobirama Senju, of the Senju Clan. Part of the Medical Force here in Konoha. Nice to meet you."
Syndra would then brush a strand of her snow white hair behind her right ear and then begin to speak in a calm voice.
"The village wants to prep the Genin who they think have a chance in becoming medical shinobi. These are troubling times in the Land of Fire and it's best if we can have all the resources we can get. Even if you can save just only one life, it will help." Syndra explained in a very teacher like tone, although in reality Syndra didn't really care about the lives of the Konoha shinobi. Although she would never let that be known, everyone in the village saw her as this very honorable and loyal ninja. She would like to keep it that way for the time being.

After explaining this, she hoped Hitomi would understand some of why she is here. She was sent here because she stood out among everyone else. Even though the technique she was going to learn was a less than recommended for someone of her rank, it would still be handy and it might do her good to see a higher ranking shinobi in the village at work.

"So, tell me Hitomi. Do you honestly think you can learn the Mystical Palm Technique?" She said, questioning Hitomi for the moment.

She nodded calmly at her neither smiling or frowning at her response, just standing there awaiting orders or anything important on a need to know basis for the moment at hand. She noticed Syndra was thinking off on something, perhaps a memory or an idea, before reassuring her attention back to Hitomi herself. It was confusing for that time but she ignored it quickly and carried on to listen in to the conversation more intently.

As she spoke about her name and role within here Hitomi had been surprised at the news. It's not everyday a young ninja is entrusted to such and she knew this well, even if it wasn't her ultimate goal it would definitely be helpful perhaps even lucky for her. It didn't sink in yet that she would be having lives on the line from herself until after the sentence finished off on one person. This did disturb her a bit knowing how delicate and dangerous things can get, let alone how many mangled faces to possibly see and face. It was a pretty scary thought once it's driven in and at first she wanted to say no but again she stopped to think on it longer, pondering it's potential. It would be helpful regardless on how she'd feel which isn't a case anyhow since feelings should be separate from actions within a serious matter and since she didn't have many friends as it was it's not like she'll see familiar faces and sob over them like it was the end of the world. There was her family though, with such bad luck they had it would be safer to bet on medical jutsu to aid them in case the strike of bad luck hits them once more. In all the debate was silent but was screaming within her own head which side would be better.

Finally she came to a conclusion and nodded calmly to herself to reassure her choice on the matter. As she asked the question Hitomi looked back up to her and nodded to her straightforward and sure of it to be her decision. She didn't talk during this time but it was obvious she was ready to get going and knew her strength in this field would help along things, as if she already needed training in chakra control anyhow.

Syndra

Syndra would watch Hitomi as she knew a bunch of thoughts of what the world might bring in her direction rushed through her mind. Syndra did the same when she was younger, she was far past that part in her life though. She has already seen the destroyed faced, bleeding outs, and dead on the battle field. Considering she was an A-rank shinobi and recently turned 29 years old.

After Hitomi nodded at Syndra to her final question, Syndra smiled slightly at Hitomi and then reached for a senbon needle out of her tool carrying pouch. Syndra then began to speak to Hitomi in a calm voice while holding the throwing needle in her right hand.
"I'll show you what this technique can do first. ."
Syndra then proceeded to stick out her left palm in front of her and then looked at Hitomi keeping eye contact with her. While doing so, Syndra stabbed the needle that she was holding in her right hand into the palm of her left hand, with not even a slight change in facial expression from the strike. Showing that she was some what use to pain, it was almost some what creepy. Watching someone injure their selves like that without really even noticing it. Syndra then pulled the needle out and placed it on the ground beside her, the tip and some of the needle drenched in blood. Blood began to pour down her left hands fingers. Most people would think she was crazy at this point, but there was reasoning behind this. She wanted Hitomi to see first hand how effective and useful the technique was.
Syndra would begin to form a couple hand seals at a fast pace, as if she has been doing those hand seals for her entire life. Her right hand then began to glow a light green color. She then placed her right hand over the injury on her left palm and smiled slightly at Hitomi.

"This technique can do things that some medicines can't do in weeks."
Syndra then removed her hand from the wound and it stopped glowing green. She lifted her left palm up beside her to show to Hitomi. It was amazing, it appeared that the wound was never even there. As if it never happened.
Syndra then crossed her arms and spoke to Hitomi in a calm voice.
"Think you can give it a try? Of course you won't be harming yourself to practice. You'll be using these fish here. It's pretty much how every medic here in Konoha has learned the technique." She then waited for Hitomi's okay to try the technique.

She watched her hold the needle in her hand, looking over the weapon that she wasn't so used to seeing. It was sleek, small, yet a fine point at the end and was bleach white. It seemed more like a enlarged sewing needle to her as the time passed on. She then snapped out of the motion and heard her speak about an action to happen.

As she stuck her left hand Hitomi jumped a bit in fear. She wanted to rush her to stop harming herself but regained her composure to see she wasn't in much, if any, pain. It was still an awful sight to withhold but she watched her pull the senbon out showing the hole left profusely bleeding and open to become a gash mark. It was sickening nevertheless but a sour stomach wasn't on menu today as she looked to the senbon now rather than white was soaked pure red and dripping slowly.

She saw the hand signs go by so quickly it almost didn't catch her eye until the last one happened to stay a bit longer to initiate the jutsu. She then saw the bright green glow as an almost foreign thing to her but soon remembered that it was only just chakra for the jutsu. She watched closely as the hand went by the other one which still bleed and looked awful to look at.

As she did most of the blood started to disappear, or atleast return where it came from? She wasn't sure what completely happened but the gash soon sealed up as if it was never there to begin with and the blood and excess was gone to only to leave the bloodied senbon as a trace of what had actually happened to reassure herself it was reality and this was something possible for herself to learn.

She then turned her attention to the fish, it seemed dead to her but it couldn't be if she was to train in healing wounds, something dead hasn't need for healing wounds and probably couldn't. So she wondered, for one how she could do that and for second how could she do that to a fish that could be dead. It also crossed her mind as to how this all would work together but she never asked this just followed along and understood what she was told.

Syndra

Syndra

Syndra would place the fish in front of Hitomi and smirk slightly at her. She would then explain what the situation was and what Hitomi was suppose to do.
"These are special fish that are found in the Land of Fire, the hospital here actually breeds them so we can use them to practice this technique on. These fish can live outside of water for quite sometime, neat huh?" Syndra would then reach for her senbon needle once again and then continue speaking.
"When they are out of water they put their selves in a motionless state like this one is to conserve energy." Syndra would then spin the senbon needle in her hand and then grab ahold of it tightly with a point sticking out. She would then jab the needle into the body of the fish, dead in the center of it. She did so quickly, blood from the fish began to slowly leak out of the hole made with the senbon. The fish then began to wiggle a bit, since it was starting to die now.

"You're going to pracatice the Mystical palm technique on this fish who is approaching death now. Your job is too repair his wound before he bleeds out. You'll have to think of what to heal first and focus intently on your chakra control. If the fish stops wiggling around, he died and you'll have to try again on a new fish. The seals are Ox -> Tiger." Syndra would lean back in the chair slightly to watch her student attempt to heal the fish.
"You may now begin." Syndra expected that she would go threw at least three fish or so before the technique even got close to working.

She watched the fish plop onto the table and listened as she explained such. It was incredible to her, a fish out of water yet still clings onto life hoping to return to it eventually without much scars or dismantlement. She paused looking over the fish itself and almost didn't catch what happened next or what was spoken of.

The needle-like weapon was jabbed forcefully into the creature and Hitomi was very surprised at this. She quickly felt hastened from this to help the poor thing as it flopped around in pain seeing the wound so deep and bleeding so horribly. The stench from inside the fish was worse though, she must have hit the intestines for such a awful smell to arise.

With that she quickly preformed the signs and focused closing her eyes for a mere moment thinking carefully as only her right hand lit up slightly green. She squinted her face to focus more placing her hands on the fish to still it so she could concentrate. She then opened her eyes and breathed through her mouth rather than her nose looking inside for the moment to figure out what needed to be healed first. She knew that smell was somewhere low and near the exit so she placed her hands over the area and focused the chakra flow into the fish.

Her arms quaked from the strain but her head remained still as she focused only on the fish, ignoring most other elements like she usually had done anyhow. She tried to imagine the wound stitching it within her mind to figure out the best plan of action whilst doing the action too. It was difficult, perhaps to difficult for too many but with her training in chakra control for something as delicate and dispersed as the wind itself this was just a challenge and not impossible.

Syndra would watch as Hitomi attempted to save the fish. Fish were expandable and were goot practice for such a technique that really couldn't afford to be messed up on with human beings. As Hitomi focused Syndra would watch, some what impressed by what Hitomi has done so far. It was more than what most got on their first try. Within a couple moments though, the fish had stopped wiggling around and had died.
Syndra would just look up at Hitomi and make eye contact with her.
"That's a shame. As you can see there isn't much room for error when it comes to Ijutsu." Syndra would pick the fish up place it on the ground beside her. She would then grab another fish from the bucket and lay it on the table in front of Hitomi again. "Let's start simpler. Baby steps." She claimed. Quite frankly, Syndra wasn't use to dealing with people who didn't have quite a bit of experience in the medical field. But, Hitomi was new to the whole thing and it could be possible that Syndra gave her too large of a task to start.

This fish was just like the other one and could survive out of water for a couple hours. Syndra would use her senbon needle once more, but instead of jab it into the fish's body. She would simply cut across its torso, causing just a flesh wound as blood spilled across the body of the fish and it began to wiggle. It would take much longer for this fish to die now, he would have to bleed out, which could take a good moment. While the other fish had major arteries punctured which caused a quick death.

"Again, focus on the wound and your chakra control. Think of your chakra as the tool you need to heal the wound and apply it to the injuries." Syndra claimed. She would sit and see how Hitomi would do with this one.

Hitomi paused seeing her hands flicker out from the green aura of chakra and the fish flop once more before settling. It was dead and she didn't save it. That honestly to herself caused a bit of sadness and some worry. What if it was a human, they would have died right there and nothing could save them anymore. She raised her hands up looking at them for a moment as the shivering from before stopped. She felt a bit of disbelief and as the fish was merely tossed away to have just another come onto the table she was starting to worry how many fish, no, how many people eventually it would take for her to get things right.

She winced a bit awaiting for a jab to the fish again only to look at it to see the small cut. It was bleeding but not so dire so she took in a deep breath and placed her hands over it once more. She then closed her eyes tightly and focused her mind to bring the chakra to her hands. This time rather than just one hand light up first they both slowly lit up green at the same moment and before long a small humming sound came from them. She didn't want to break concentration so she calmly opened her eyes once more and looked at the wound.

She took no care into keeping it still, rather she just focused on the wound itself and just how many pieces of tissue were cut. She placed her hands gently onto the wounded area that bleed and focused intently onto it. Her arms weren't so shaky as before since she wasn't rushed or in dire need to pull most of her chakra out. With this she could go by and gradually pull the chakra down and into the fish without over doing it or under doing it.

Soon she begun to see the wound heal, slowly but surely it was. She wanted to jump for joy but rather than do that she kept full focus on the wound and tried to finish it up. Even so she noticed the blood was nearly gone from around the area, even from her hands. It was progress and it was happening at a pace she knew how to use. Eventually she picked up the pace similar to how she used the wind jutsu and begun healing the wound much faster, keeping sure once more to focus on how much chakra is too much and how to heal the wound up correctly.

Syndra

Syndra

After Hitomi focused on the wound, Syndra would smirk slightly and then begin to smile. "She's doing it." She thought to herself. She was quite impressed by the young one. Syndra wait till the fish was completely healed and for Hitomi to move her hands from the fish. The wound would be completely gone, as if it was never there. Just like the wound on Syndra's hand earlier.
Syndra would then use her senbon again and apply a major stab in the center of the fish once again like earlier. The foul smell of the fish filled the area. Syndra would look up at Hitomi and speak in a calm voice.
"Try this again now." She would order in a calm voice. Curious to if Hitomi could do it. If she really focused, she thinks Hitomi could heal the fish completely. She needs pracatice on letting the pressure of the time get to her and just focus on 'what to do next' while operating.

Hitomi Shiruku

She saw the wound disappear under her hands and soon the fish was completely healed. She didn't stop the chakra flow however knowing what was to come next now. She readied her body this time focusing on the attack and where the wound was. Time seemed like nothing for after the wound was placed she went to work placing her hands on the fish.

They radiated the green hue seeping into the fish's wound and this time she didn't close her eyes to concentrate on chakra itself just work on the wound. With each moment she placed stitch upon fold on the wound. Growing her focus to a fine point of even thinking down to the cells. Her eyes lit up with realization and made quick work on growing the wounds to seal the holes through the skin and organs. Restoring flow by using the beat of the fish's own heart to fix the veins and once the main damage was cared for she turned attention to the rest.

The muscles weren't much of a problem, much like sewing strings that glued back together and bounced at the touch. She eventually fell to the very top part of the skin of the fish. As she healed the skin the blood that poured out dissipated like hot water steaming away. Eventually there was a tiny cut left and as she focused on this last task she watched the wound eventually disappear and become absolutely nothing. As if a dream had occurred and that wound was the dream.

Syndra

Syndra

Syndra would would watch with slight awe. She was impressed. She has had students before that took weeks to catch onto such a powerful Ijutsu. But, it seems that Hitomi did so with ease. Of course, her technique wasn't near perfect or anything of that nature, but with more practice and usage of the jutsu it would become a standard Mystical Palm Technique.
Syndra would take the fish and put it back into the bucket of water after the healing process was complete, the fish would return to the water as if nothing ever happened. Brand New.
Syndra would then stand and extend her hand out to Hitomi to offer a handshake, imagining that Hitomi's hands were probably sore from using such a high level technique repeatedly.
"You have potential, keep it up!" She said in a encouraging voice.
Syndra would place Hitomi in the back of her mind as a shinobi with potential. Syndra might be able to make use of someone with her talents one day, but for now Syndra would just watch and see her grow more as a ninja.
After she would shake Hitomi's hand, she would smile with a sweet smile and make her way out of the garden.
