Looks Description: Seliph is a fairly tall and light-skinned woman of slender build. She has long, black, waist length untamed hair, and very unique eyes that are light blue in color. Her most distinctive trait is her endowed bust that had developed over the years. She wears ornamental styled earrings occasionally depending on her mood as well as a lip ring she got during her Chuunin years. Her family necklace is always seen on her to remind her of her past...present...and future. She always has two metal bands on her left shoulder, no one quite understood why though but her response was always " Because I can". Her outfit tends to be always the same style of colors but often varies. Consisting of a Two toned Blue top with the same design zipper design as her other outfits though usually the zipper never is all the way up thanks to her bust, with black gloves, black, low-heel, knee-high boots, black shorts underneath a short dark blue apron skirt with her clan's symbol, and her Forehead protector now acts like a sash around her waist.



Personality Description: Seliph is a very complex woman. At first glance, she appears to be Shy, self conscious and a little bizarre. She can also act arrogant and stubborn, usually justifying her less-than-admirable actions with her apparent skill, causing her to later to feel bad about her actions. As a result, people don't think of her as a Ninja. It was revealed the reason for Seliph's tendency to hide herself in and sometimes have an attitude towards life was that because of her travels, she didn't want to ever show weakness again to anyone.

She harbored a great fear of getting close to anyone, other than her own. Deep down, Seliph is a rather-sensitive and vulnerable woman who is afraid and concerned about how other people might react towards her. She has also shown to be very sly and crafty when the situation demands it. Seliph is very brave and reckless when fighting her opponents. She will fight anyone who she considers her enemy, regardless what their reputation is or not.

However, she has been easily defeated by opponents by not thinking things through and rushing in without planning ahead, something her Mother scolded her for several times. Seliph has her own view of "Life" which differs from others own definition, and will fight for what she sees as the right thing to do. She is usually kind and peaceful, speaking well of others and attempting to avoid conflict. Seliph seems to be somewhat sensitive when it comes to her love life, as shown when she overheard her mother talking about finding her a suitable partner, in which she threatened to kill her for such an "thought". Mei seems to be somewhat sensitive when it comes to her love life, as shown when she misheard Ao say that she was "past marriageable age", and threatened to kill him for such an "insult". Befitting her role as Kunoichi of Kirigakure, Seliph cares about the welfare and history of her village.

History:
[Early Childhood Arc~]
Since birth Seliph was always the quiet one she never argued with his parents knowing that if she ever made one remark her father would punish her. At the age of Three her home was attacked by Rogue Ninjas and Seliph was sent to hide under the house while her parents who were both Shinobis of Kirigakure helped fend off the attackers. During the attack Seliph left her spot and went outside to see what was happening, upon that she was discovered by a Rogue and was being hunted down. Further down the village Seliph was cornered in a alleyway and was at the point of death and as the Rogue Ninja drove his blade at Seliph, her father appeared behind the ninja and executed him in front of his daughter. After that incident Seliph''s father rarely spoke to her and never trained her saying that the reason he didn't want to train her is because she's weak. For three years Seliph trained with her grandmother while her parents were away on missions. She taught Seliph all she can in basic skills, however she wasn't adapting to her Ninjutsu so it took her more time to achieve the average level of potential with her Techniques.

[Academy Student Arc~]

At the age of Eight she was enrolled into the academy, but during the entrance ceremony neither her mother or father was their to see her off. After her first day of school she returned home only to see some of her clan members circled around something, when she asked her uncle what happen her uncle grabbed and told her to stay outside, but Seliph being an eager little kid went around the side of the house and climbed onto the roof only to crash down through it and land in the middle of the family. Everybody froze and didn't know what to do, Seliph wondered why everybody was just standing still but when she looked over at her Grandmother she noticed that she was mourning. That moment Seliph saw that what would change her life, she saw her father's body laying on the floor.Several of her relatives tried to comfort her and stop her from having a breakdown as they told her how her Father was killed in action, hearing that forced Seliph to run away from home only to be stopped by her mother who tried to comfort her but couldn't. Anger filled the young girls heart knowing her stubborn father died protecting a village that rarely acknowledge the clan or herself. After returning two days later to her home Seliph's mood change over her years and as she aged she achieved more in her techniques and her skills in strategic combat. Her Grandmother & Mother began to see her grow in her training and soon began teaching Seliph abilities and the Clan's Kekkei Genkai though she was still lacking. But after turning Twelve she lost all contact with much of her Clan whom soon began dividing without a Clan Leader. At the age of Thirteen she graduated from the academy and achieved the rank of Genin.

[Genin Arc~]
During her days as a genin she was assigned to a team. Her Sensei was someone who only used Suiton, and her two partners didn't actually specialize in anything specific, making them balanced ninja who excelled in their fields of study. Though, it was apparent that young Seliph was struggling to make her mark in the village. She often drifted to the background, taking time to learn a few clan jutsu from any of the remaining clan members in the village, and honed her craft in Medical Ninjutsu. It kept her sane after-all.

Luckily for her at the age of fifteen, when the chunin exams showed up she was at somewhat advantage because of her lack of friends. All that training allowed for her to severely manhandle some of the competition, scoring enough collective points to be given the honor of a rank up. Even though she didn't pass the written part of the exam with flying colors. She did enough to at least have visible recognition from what little friend and family liked her. She displayed a special technique that many in her Clan had not thought she would have known, which was a combination of Nintaijutsu during the arena.

She was a technical Chuunin after that day, though still considered a Genin in the books. She was decided to be best assigned as an Instructor's Assistant at the Academy. Ever since then she and her squad would only meet during missions assigned by the Kage as the rest would be mostly spent on her days training with what little time she spent with her Mother and the rest in her Instructors duties at the academy. After discovering her skillful usage of element combination Water and lightning, she practiced a few useful techniques for Futton, which then reminded her of her clan's ability. After putting an outstanding performance in front of Grandmother, she was asked to take up as the Aya Clan's new leader and revive a dead name.

[Chuunin Arc~]

Seliph's chuunin days were her longest. Lasting from about 16-18. She was normally given the leader role in high ranking missions and became even more respected by her fellow ninja in Kirigakure. It was during the second year of her chuunin life style, that she killed for the first time. All though, she seemed to have remorse over it, since she knew it was the fate of a ninja. She trained even harder during these times and thrived to become even stronger. She was then assigned to be an instructor's assistant at the academy. The reason being, that she felt she could learn to be more respected if she was seen helping the newer generation of students in their training. Which is why she kept close in her duties as the instructors assistant. It was during this time that she also began to make a few friends and became even more familiar with the people of her village. She would carry this life style out, until she felt she was finally strong enough to assume the role of the Academy's new Teacher.

She trained even harder during these times and thrived to become even stronger. She was offered a position as a Teacher at the academy. The reason being, that she felt she was not yet strong enough to claim such responsibilities especially when the kids think she trained sometimes were unfocused during her lectures. Which is why she kept declining the offer until she felt satisfied with her self as a ninja. She would carry this life style out, until she felt she was finally strong enough to assume the role of Special Jounin.

[Jounin Arc~]

During her time as a Special Jounin, Seliph was taken on more ranked missions with other shinobi's as occasionally she would be the one leading the squad. She would come to realize fate can be very very mysterious as her latest missions involved a joint op with Shinobi's from Kumogakure on a search and rescue. The mission was laid out to be simple...a group of merchants were being held hostage by a band of rogue ninjas, however trust was the issue among both sides as Seliph showed a bit of peace between their leader but the squads only distrusted her for it. Among her assigned squad was her former squad mates and two other jounins. The Kumo were assigned the leading squad for the assignment as they went deep into the forest in search of their hideout as Seliph and her squad were assigned to as backup for them. The squad would argue on why they didn't follow the Kumo squad and that Seliph shouldn't be leading them seeing how she has had much reputation as an academy instructor instead of a Squad leader.

This drove her to finally speak up and vent on them acknowledging the fact that she was given the role due to her training and evaluations. The squad still didn't care even after all this time growing up as Seliph just sighed and kept watch.

However a lingering thought kept her distracted on why the other squad hasn't reported as she kept watch in the distance for any signs. Soon enough her team was taken off guard by an explosion not to far from their spot as the rogue ninjas had came to them and ambushed them. Risking no second in their assault, Seliph and her team were captured and knocked unconscious. She awoke tied up and restrained in a cell with her squad and the merchants, but what made matters worse was that the Kumogakure squad were also allied with the rogues. They soon spent the next few days torturing them to get any Intel from them and the merchants as Seliph would discover that the merchants were actually Nobles from several different Villages including her own. Ransoms were sent by messenger birds to all locations demanding an exchanger for Seliph and the others as she knew they wouldn't oblige by that and had to figure out her own plan of escape and secure the safety of the others.

Seliph seeing only one alternative began to focus on concentrating her mental state. With her hands tied behind her back she painfully performed the necessary signs to use her Futton and slowly melt the bindings of her squad mates who were surprised by her capabilities as they helped her and the nobles.

There next objective would be to escape with everybody unharmed by them. Luckily her team had a plan and included her in the details as Seliph and one of her squad mates would lead the distraction against the Ninjas while the rest escape and secure the nobles back to Kirigakure for safety. So Seliph and her partner soon started the assault with explosive tags to draw them away from the others as the bait was successful as the two were engaged in combat. Seliph had to make sure everybody came out alive as she stayed side to side with her partner as they fought these skilled rogues. However the fight turned one sided when one of the rogues appears saying that the hostages were escaping as they drop smoke bombs to confuse her and her partner. Seliph realizing the danger soon to happen she and her squadmate make haste to regroup as during their race back through the trees a trap was laid out as her partner trips over a wire setting off tags every around them as Seliph gets thrown out of the blast by her squadmate to avoid damages as Seliph watches as her partner collapses.

In shock of the event she seems disoriented by the blast as panic sinks into her mind as the sounds of screams from the nobles are heard while her squad mate lies unconscious and burned. She begins to have flashbacks of her father as she tries to breath. Sure enough she snaps as she heads to her downed squadmate tending to the damage as best as she can as she carries him with her leg slightly burned as she continues to the regroup. She arrives in time to assist as she Secures her downed Squadmates safety witht he noble as she provides cover for her remaining squadmates to fall back as she used her Water Style to fight off the rogue, However when the Kumo Rogues appeared then she knew it wasn't gonna be an easy getaway. Time was a factor as Seliph bought as much time as she could with fending off the Kumo Shinobis as they put her into a critical condition with their numbers but still she stood not backing down as she smirked mocking them.

Finally they brought her down to the ground as what she thought was failure was actually a success as a flare was fired off into the distance to signal her squads arrival back at the village gate as the Anbu corp arrived to finish off the enemies just before she blacked out.

[Kage Arc~]

It's been a year since her famed mission that turned into political nightmare as Seliph had matured in both mind and body. The S. Jounin who had been recovering from injuries was now back on duty as she now was more respected in her village and academy as the Aya clan became a name again. She was soon given her greatest promotion as years of service has caught the elders attention as she was asked to take up the Title of Mizukage after the incident with last Kage. This was the most surprised she has ever gotten and was worried she suffer the curse just like the tales. Word however spread like a tidal wave as best wishes and good lucks from friends, family and citizens were given to her as the whole village awaited the decision from her and the elders. One thing was for sure.........Seliph had proven her father wrong.


RP Sample:

Seliph spent the early morning sitting on a rock. Sitting cross legged with her hands and staff on her lap, breath quietly escaping from her lips as she meditated. In Kirigakure one needed to have full control of their body. From their hair to the soles of their feet. A Kunoichii had to be completely in tune with themselves, and also their surroundings. As she slowly breathed she felt someone's chakra.

Sighing Seliph hoped it wasn't someone who came to try and hit on her again. After her last encounter with a perverse Shinobi. Seliph was just about done with dealing with anymore people in the lake. But for some reason the chakra of the person searching for her seemed familiar. Though considering how close she was to Kirigakure, it wasn't surprising. Quietly, she allowed herself to awaken from meditation and go find who was looking for hrt. Unlike most shinobi she didn't sense chakra by touching the ground, that wouldn't help in this terrain. She would sense chakra through the moisture in the air. So far she could tell that the person looking for her was alone. Walking into a cave and sitting on one of the higher rocks she awaited for her pursuer to arrive.

The girl's voice bounced around the cave, smacking the side of rocks and the cavern walls making a loud echo sound. Seliph smiled as she watched the shinobi walk through the cave opening. So this was who they sent. Seliph somewhat recognize the person. It was a man, by the looks of it a Special jounin like herself. He was taller than her by an inch. Which at times slightly annoyed Selipha and other times intrigued him. Scratching her head she decided to answer the Man's call.

"Hello... What brings you here?" Seliph asked. In the darkness it was impossible to see his face but his voice could be heard. "Why did you come here? What are you looking for?" She asked, while he himself could not be seen the sound of him moving could be audible. Footsteps moving in the darkness, avoiding the light. Each step slowly smacked into the cold hard ground. The sounds started slow but began moving faster, making it sound that there were more than one shinobi in the shadows. It didn't last very long before Seliph got up ready to attack as she screams, "ANSWER ME!"
