Sanroku decided that he needed to better perfect his shurikenjutsu fighting style by creating more techniques. The young shinobi was focused on mostly the essential part of the fighting style, which was the throwing of shuriken. As a Special Jonin, Sanroku was able to have special permission to train in certain areas of Kumogakure that are similarly dangerous to the Turtle Islands dangerousness. There are large beasts in this island, which made training that much more easier to get done with progress at the end. This was proven of course when Sanroku was confronted by a gang of Kangaroos. This may sound comedic in nature but the fact is that Sanroku didnt want to necessarily kill the animals since it was illegal, but they were provoking the young shinobi by trying to kill him. Sanroku ran for some time in order to escape the Kangaroos but to his luck he only managed to loose 3 out of 5 leaving 2 determined beasts jumping and getting ever more closer with every hop.
As soon as one of the kangaroos got ahead of the second but a good distance, Sanroku turned around and used a maneuver that he suspects can be a good technique. This Setup is a simple and deadly technique if completed properly. With the Setup, Sanroku simply crouched down into a low position so that he can toss 3 handheld projectiles aimed low at the kangaroo. These projectiles are thrown spaced out with one in the center so that jumping to the side to dodge them is out of the question, and they are thrown with such precision and speed that the main focus is put on making the Kangaroo jump so that they can evade the attack. When the Kangaroo jumped in the air, Sanroku just as quickly threw 3 more handheld projectiles, all aimed directly at the kangaroos chest rather than in separate directions. This technique gave the kangaroo not footing in order to be able to dodge the attack, so Sanroku didnt throw it with much force in order to keep the animal alive.
