Looks Description: Chikara is the name of the short structured girl with knee-length crimson hair that’s kept in two ponytails, which puts emphasis on her small body. Her forehead is covered by bangs split in the middle, each side reaching her eyes and covering the sides of her cheekbones. Her eyes, though soft, has been noted to have a slight edge to them, her large irises being red, glowing red whenever she decides to use the Jutsu granted to her by her bloodline. She’s faired skinned. Due to these traits, she is identified one of the rare few who do not possess the Shurajo clan dark hair and/or pale skin.

If one were to spot the young Shurajo, they would immediately notice the two large, black tags tying her hair up with what appears to be bunny designs printed on them. Her clothing usually consist of a loose orange hooded-sweater, the hood having what seems to be bunny ears attached to them. The front bottom ends are folded upwards and held up by buttons, showcasing the checker design inside of the sweater. Underneath the sweater, Chikara wears a simple thigh-length, white dress. Upon her feet, she wears shin-length boots that are black with red accents, the toes of the boots is white as is the very top of the boot.


Personality Description: Chikara, despite what she may have gone through in the past, is surprisingly a sweet girl that likes making friends. She has a strong desire to protect these friends of her with the power she holds, and uses them as a motivation to become stronger. She isn’t the kind of child prone to crying nor is she prone to violent outburst, no, she’s far to lively for that. With a smile that never leaves her face, regardless of the situation, one can safely assume that she will not allow someone or something to ruin her optimism.

Chikara’s knowledge of the world is severely limited, having been hindered during the younger stages of her life. Not only has her knowledge of the world been hampered, but due to the various test she was subjected to, conveying her emotions properly can sometimes prove a difficult task for her. Due to her inability to effectively communicate her feelings, she is sometimes left feeling quite agitated and frustrated, dancing on the fine line of anger. Also, she finds it difficult to understand social cues as well as norms, though she is slowly adapting with the help of her papa and friends.

Despite the fact that Chikara wishes to bury her past deep within the ground where it can never surface again, some have gotten a glimpse of this cute girl’s darker traits. If pushed to the point of rage or left in a situation where her life is at risk, she shall shift gears from her bubbly self to a much more malicious individual. She, seemingly out of the blue sky, becomes a very violent child who will punch in your skull before asking any questions. It’s, for all intents and purposes, considered to be her automatic defense mechanism, though leaks out during times of uncontrollable rage. She considers this side of her to be scarier than cute, and thus would like avoid going into that state of mind. As for how anger works, her darker traits do not surface, and usually a pat upon her head is enough to calm her down as well as please her.

The last points one should know about Chikara’s personality is the affections that she shows to her papa as well as the Mizukages. She is very comfortable around her papa, and she trust him a lot. She proclaims her papa a champion of justice, and thinks very highly of him. And since she looks up to him for guidance as well as support, she doesn’t like disappointing him. The bond she shares with her papa is strong, and one she does not believe that can be broken no matter how one may try to do so. Now her relationship when it comes to the Mizukages is a little different, for the simple fact that she hasn’t really bonded with any of them, but she still holds these beings in high esteem. She also wishes to impress them as well.
Likes:
• Papa – Chikara greatly admires her ‘papa’, the individual that was given the duty of being her caretaker, or handler, which ever you prefer to call him.
• Food – Chikara likes a variety of food, her favorites being: Manfū, Dango, and Onigiri.
• Praise – Believe it or not, Chikara really, really, loves to be praised. A simple pat on the head or comment of her being a good girl is enough to make her happy for weeks on end.
Dislikes:
• Killing – Chikara, despite having done it in the past, loathes the idea of killing. This dislike may have com about due to the few people she has killed, doesn’t like performing the act. She believes it should be saved when all other options have been exhausted and shall even question her superiors if she believes that death to an individual or a group of people is unnecessary or unwarranted.
• Crude Language – Honestly, Chikara really does hate it when people decide to use crude language, especially when said person is having a conversation with her. She does not believe that any situation warrants the usage of foul language, and quite frankly finds herself irritated by it.
• Nightmares – Chikara hates waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat because memories of her past surfaced up in the form of a nightmare. She just hates it, for it makes her scream in fright and become an emotional mess. And thus to prevent her nightmares, she shall often time sleep in the same bed as her papa.

History: Chikara was born to a Shurajo couple within the Village Hidden in the Mist, otherwise known as Kirigakure no Sato. She would not spend her childhood in the company of her parents for the duo gave her up, both being young and stupid with no means of supporting a child. They believed they were doing the best for their little girl, but they had unwittingly subjected their child to a harsh, early childhood. You see, many dark things were occurring within the lands and children were going missing left and right. Seemingly dropping off the face of the earth all together, though since they were orphans, no one seemed to take any real notice.

Chikara was one of the many children taken from the orphanage, albeit she does not remember for she was rather young at the time. Anyhow, she had been taken as an unwilling participate in the Gremlin project, a project that desired to turn children into the perfect soldiers for Kirigakure. Raised from a young age on how to fight as well as learning that killing ensured their safety within the facility. She, though she wishes to forget, knows that there is a great deal of blood on her hands for she has killed multiple children so that she may live.

Slowly the Gremlin experiment was proving to be a success, for the strong children showed great potential whilst the weak died at the hands of the strong. But sadly enough for these researchers, their project wouldn’t be completed. Under the reign of a new Kage, who was actually concerned about the disappearance of the children, sent in a squad to storm the facility upon receiving its location. The researchers were rounded up, and the children sent to the hospital to be checked on. Whilst at the hospital, Chikara and many of the other children were proven to be difficult to handle, they being highly distrustful of their saviors, and thus quite violent.

When one spends the first nine years of their lives being subjected to the cruelty of adults, one would develop a great distrust of them. Many didn’t know what to do with the children, and a lot believed that the Kage would have them killed for they couldn’t possibly become productive members of society. But the Kage was a kind individual, and placed children into homes of Jounin, for these individuals would have no problem controlling them. Hopes that trust can be built between the children and their handlers, ran through the veins of the Kage, and thus the children were placed into homes.

The first day Chikara met her papa was the day she was discharged from the hospital. Sedated so that she may not lash out at him, she would be taken to her new home. It honestly didn’t take long for the young Shurajo to trust her handler, and her personality did a complete 180. She suddenly became more affectionate and lively, and that was a good thing. A year after coming to live with her papa, she had managed to make quite a few friends as well as excel to the rank of Genin, having been unnecessary to attend the academy due to her already exceeding the skills of an academy student.

And thus, newly promoted Genin, Chikara Shurajo begins a new chapter in her life.
