The blade and sheathe are as identical as from the picture. Being a custom Long Length Katana the design is a bit unique. The handle first of all holds the length of 50cms, giving Kiranade ample space to hold it in different styles. The handle is relatively thin considering its size as is carved to perfectly fit her hands. It is wrapped in dark red with a 30 cm two piece red braided tassel. The blade itself is rather long, the sharp singled edged blade protrudes a 180cms. The blade is considerably thick on it's back and the width as well. Some might call it a cleave yet it still maintains a relatively slender appearance. Much like Ninjato's the blade is missing a notable guard yet on the first 20cm of the handle the hilt is wrapped in extra crude cloth of black.

Special Abilities:
The ability is simple in its nature. The soul purpose of the blade is for the fighting style of Kiranade, primarily and usually her "Blood Style Blade Augment : Apocalypse". The ability itself is purposed as an effective method to cover for the lack of Range that the Kenjutsu is question has. The ability simply takes upon the compressed elemental affinity, Water in the case of Kiranade and shoots (the compressed water only) it in the same fashion as Kiranade's blade swings or stabs. The range varies depending on the amount of water collected but usually travels up to at least a minimum of 5 meters in arcs or in torrents. The maximum distance reachable can be around 25 meters. If large amounts of water was stored the torrents can even travel great distances. After reaching the respective maximum distance the water will cascade to the floor. The cutting strength and concussive force of the Kenjutsu Blood Style Blade Augment Apocalypse is retained during the execution.
The weakness of this ability, is the lack of control Kiranade has upon execution of the ability. Friendlies are not safe from the large cutting torrents and tides. The ability can only be used with another Kenjutsu such as BS BA : Apocalypse hence the blade has no use other than such. Without such it is merely a normal A-rank blade.
Origin: The blade was specially crafted for Kiranade Senju, reaction best with her Chakra as it is made from one of the finest yet not the best materials around. The origin of the name December's Red Moon is party due to the swords ability, Kiranade's nickname and Kiranade's special Kenjutsu style. The Moon signifies the flow of the waters, Kiranade's Elemental affinity, the Red is brought from her nickname The Red Princess. Lastly the last month signifies the end of the life cycle, aka death.
