" It's rather peaceful today isn't it Kagura? Do you think it has something to do with the weather? "
A soothing voice spoke gently breaking the otherwise quiet atmosphere in the Hokage's office. The voice belonged to none other than the current Hokage herself; Lucifer Uchiha. Lucifer though she preferred to be called Luci had just started on her usual duties which included her most enjoyed duty, Paperwork. Adjusting her glasses she looked up from the paper that was laid before her. At the moment she was preparing a deck of Ninja info cards for the ninja of her village which were rapidly growing under her leadership. The young woman she had addressed earlier was Kagura Nara, a woman of unmatched strategical prowess and who matched the Hokage herself in beauty and grace.
" Yes Hokage-Sama, It seems the recent downpour of rain has kept most people indoors resulting in the lack of petty crimes and other unneeded disturbances.
A crack of lightning illuminated across the sky as thunder drummed in the air, and the soft pitter patter of raindrops transformed into a downpour hitting hard upon the earth and rooftops. The fresh scent of wet grass, trees, and dirt mixed with soothing scents of lavender filled the moderately sized room. Getting up from her chair Lucifer turned to the windows and around the office and began to close them. Though she enjoyed the clean fresh scent it provided her she couldn't afford to get her office wet.
" I suppose I won't be expecting many visitors today.."
Returning to her seat Lucifer sighed and picked up a blank Ninja info card turning it around in her hand while running her slender fingers up the edges. Since she had became Hokage her current goal was to see that her ninja got the best training and that her village was properly protected. She didn't need to worry about the income because there was always someone somewhere willing to hire ninja's to do something.
Looking up from the card she turned her attention back to Kagura." You are dismissed from your duties today Kagura. Take the rest of the day off...I can handle things here. Thank you."The dark haired kunoichi bowed towards Lucifer and smiled. " Thank you Hokage-Sama." Kagura quickly departed leaving Lucifer alone in her office.
The rain didn't seem like it would be letting up anytime soon as the Hokage turned her seat around towards the window to watch the rainfall. Her mind settled on things to keep the ninja and villagers motivated and happy. Closing her eyes she removed the pin that kept her long locks in it's neat bun letting it cascade down around her in a dark wave. In all honesty she had grown bored of the peace and quiet of her village, though it was nice and she welcomed it she could see her ninja becoming lazy and fat from it. There was nothing getting there blood rushing and adrenalin pumping. Sighing she twirled a strand of hair between her fingers and watched the rain silently.
