Carnival!!! [private] [mission(s)]

As the group had made its decision Rui started off in a dash because he was hungry to have some food to eat now that they have decided. Last one there is a rotten egg! He calls back as he races through the crowd of people trying to beat his other comrades there as if this was a race. It was a good thing too that Rui knew where this place was at as it is one of his favorite places to go when he wasn't with his family.

I shake my head as Rui runs of in a fury toward the shack, i'm hungry but not that hungry. I began to step in line with Eliza scanning alleyways for threats, one can never be too careful, as we head toward the ramen shop. Eliza looks distant and haunted so I ask "anything on your mind" to her casually as we walk. If I have to work with these comrades it might help to know what kind of burdens they carry. Its the knife you don't know about that will kill you. Besides I guess normal people would care if their comrades are having problems, two birds with one stone I guess.

I hadn't actually realized that my expression had changed even if only slightly but when Ana asked me what was up I snapped out of it and returned to my normal upbeat demeanor. "Oh it's nothing, just trying to figure out what sort of ramen I want to get for lunch." I would give a big grin and look at her after saying this as we arrived at our venue of choice. With a push from my arm I moved the curtain away so me and Ana could enter, Rui was probably already sitting inside waiting on us, ordering or if he had gotten here with exceptional speed possibly eating.

As Rui raced through the crowd he paced himself well just baraly missing the people and knocking people over. As Rui made it to the shack he turned around to find that neither of his team mates decided to join in the fun. As he sighs and scratches his head wondering why they didn't want to join in the fun. Rui then went inside the shop to go ahead and talk to the cooks inside and a close friend of Rui since this is one of His favorite places to go.

As Rui enters into the shop the Cook looks back to welcome the customer and realizes that it was Rui. Are you going to have your usual today Rui? As Rui just laughed and said ya sure Clide I could have that but I have some comrads who are also going to eat as well, so why don't you wait for them. Also make sure they are on my families tab, we just did a short little mission today so its like a little celibration for us.

As Clide chuckles realizing that Rui is now old enough that to be in a squad of his own. Sure no problem and congrats Rui, what did yall do today? Rui smiled and replied we're helping getting the carnival ready today we just cleaned three streets which wasn't too hard of course. As Rui goes to his usual spot awaiting his comrads to arrive.

Eliza changed to her normal cheerful demeanor and changed the subject so I didn't think it was worth pursuing. She opens the curtain for us so I go in and sees Rui already sitting waiting to order with his usual annoying grin. I wave at him awkwardly at point him out to Eliza as I move to sit with him. "Well you seem to know this place pretty well, what do you recommend?" I ask to Rui. Please recommend something with meat I think to myself.

I move in and sit next to my comrades, looking back into the kitchen area to see what sort of ingredients were the freshest or most tasty. In my scan I locked eyes on what appeared to be a freshly cut rack of lamb and instantly pointed towards it, getting the attention of the owner. "I'll have some of that please." The owner took a moment on silence to follow my finger and see what I meant, realizing what I wanted he laughed. "A fine choice, just pulled that up front before you kids came in. What can I get for you young lady?" He would be talking to Ana now as Rui seemed to have a usual order ready to go here.

As Eliza and Ana made there way into the shack Rui had a big grin on his face as he was awaiting their arrival. Ana then asked him what Rui suggests to eat here. Well I love their house special that they have here, it has their own special sauce with fresh noodles and some fresh lamb. But the sauce is what I love the most the texture is so good I'm never disappointed and always full once I leave, and now when ever I come back here that's all I get now. Rui laughs a bit thinking of his first experience with the house special.

Lamb just doesn't do it for me today. I tell the cook "I'll have something with pork whatever else is fine." I begin to scan the room looking for any threats that may present themselves. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary but one can never be too careful. I then turn to my new squad and ask "Well we will all be working together for the foreseeable future, tell me your life stories." I then lean back with a smug grin as I wait for my something with pork. This should be interesting at least.

Without knowing it I managed to order the house special which made me laugh a bit before realizing what Ana had asked for story time. I wasn't too keen on going into the last few years of what I had been up to so while I figured out a way to abridge it I simply waved my hand at Rui as a signal for him to go first since I had no doubt he would be more than glad to let us know of his glorious family line.

As they were waiting for their food, Ana asked about our life stories and seeing that Eliza signaled for me to go first and I love talking my family. My family has been a part of the village from since the beginning, we have done many things  over the century, but as of recently my family right now does construction, art, and business with the market every now and then. But I was raised with arts and crafts. I can show you my family history back at my house if your interested? There is so much history of the Tsuyoi family! Rui smiles thinking he might have someone else to be interested about his families history about the village and what wonderful success they have had over the years.

Eliza dodges the question as expected and Rui dives into a family history as long as one could possibly imagine, again as expected. I briefly consider stabbing my ears with a conveniently placed knife but decide against it as our food arrives. I casually remark "Thanks but that isn't necessary" to Rui's offer to show us his family place. Seems a bit too proud of his family, those without clans often resent those with. Being a ninja is harder with no people at home knowing what its like. But I node nicely at his comments before beginning to eat my fill of a very tasty plate of pork ramen. I will say this I can tell why he comes here regularly.

Rui went into his long family history again, I just chuckled and nodded as his family pride was a sight to behold. Ana however seemed less enthusiastic about the story but then our food came so I didn't have a chance to comment on that. I quickly grabbed a set of chop sticks and broke them apart from each other so that I could start digging in. My manner of eating by shoveling the contents of the bowl into my mouth like a food processor would show my tomboy side I had picked up from my brothers, not an expected trait from someone that looks like me.

While Rui was in the middle of telling his family history, Clide came and personally dropped their food. Rui thanked him and then broke his chop sticks then watched as Eliza started eating what he didn't expect at all from her, but hey each to their own. As they had took their first couple of bites in their food, Rui asked: So what do you think of the food? Rui then started on his own bowl of his favorite meal. After a few bites and waiting for their replies, Rui asked: So what about you Ana?

I continue to eat as Eliza surprisingly starts shoveling her food like its her last day on earth, and Rui asks me about my past. "Me, i'm nothing special just a carpenter's daughter that was recruited to the academy after my cousin's death. Im good at what I do and emotionally stable, don't worry about me and I will do my best to not get either of you killed." I then do my best attempt at a smile but the intricacies of human behavior still allude me. Oh well i'm sure that I don't look that absurd.

As I finished my bowl of food I heard Rui ask what we thought of it, to which I was able to time my response perfectly. "I think it's time for a second helping!" The owner would look at me funny for a second as he realized how quickly I ate that and then laugh while going to prepare a second bowl. Ana's story was a short and simple one, it seemed she hadn't quite yet decided to open up to us fully but then again I was dodging the question all together so it wasn't that big a deal.

As Eliza finished her bowl ready for the seconds. Rui just smiled as he listed to Anna's short story which isn't long but I guess each to there own. So what are doing next anyways, I wasn't paying attention to what are next? Rui looked between Anna and Eliza maybe one of them knows by chance.

Well it seems like they bought enough of the story to stop them from bothering me for awhile. I will explain it in detail later but for now I deserve to have some secrets to keep for myself. Eliza is keeping to herself for now and Rui is a open book, well I guess i learned some things. I finish my bowl and ask "So what is the plan after this" to both of them as I sit back in my chair tiredly.
