Name: Masamune

Appearance: A black metal katana that is synonymous with Gambaldi Raionhato, the Black Lion. The blade itself is extremely sharp and 5ft long. Despite being shaped like a normal katana, Masamune is edged on both sides. The hilt of Masamune is gold and black, with a single dark red strip of clothe around the handle.

Special Abilities: Masamune is famed for its sheer cutting power. When used by a master bukijutsu shinobi the weapon becomes in tune with the user. The sharpness of the blade is great enough to event cut into metal, even split a kunai in half. A C-Rank amount of chakra must be put forth into the weapon in order to utilize this deadly ability.
Origin: Masamune once belonged to a famed samurai that was said to be a shinobi killer. In this samurai's wake, thousands lost their lives to his renown skill and deadly blade. He traveled the land in search of those that had taken the lives of his family. He blamed all shinobi for this crime and waged war on the realm of the ninja. Eventually his travels brought him to Kumogakure territory. Many tried their luck in order to defeat this and as it turned out a squad of genin would be his undoing. It was Gambaldi Raionhato who led this team against the orders of his superiors. It was only discovered much later that Gambaldi had sought out the man because the samurai had killed Gambaldi's former kenjutsu instructor.
The genin confronted this terror and combined their might to see the man brought to a swift end. This amazing feat came at a high price, the lives of two members of the squad. The survivor being Gambaldi Raionhato. Since that day Gambaldi has wielded the deadly katana as a symbol of his old friends that died doing their duty. Since that day, Masamune became a sort of symbol that represented Gambaldi. Gambaldi it was with this same weapon that he carved out his nickname as the "Black Lion of Kumogakure" for his sheer ferocity in battle. From cutting down a slough of foes to even splitting kunai in mid-flight.
Despite being able to wield the weapon, it is rumored that the weapon has hidden potential that only matures in the hands of the truly worthy. Thus leaving the history of this weapon still being made with each passing day.
