Kodama looked up against the rising sun, shielding his eyes with his hand. He greeted the guard on his way out. He had informed them of his intentions to travel to Kirigakure no Sato to strike a trading deal with a local group of merchants who could supply a rare type of kelp. One that would be very useful in developing a new type of seed. Today was the day, and he set out early.
In order to avoid confusion in Kirigakure no Sato, he had received a letter signed by the Mizukage that allowed him a decent amount of freedom. Quite frankly he was allowed to travel through most of the public areas of the village, but local guards would refuse him entry to restricted area's, which were basically any areas that would allow him to obtain any useful knowledge on Kirigakure's defenses. This was no problem to Kodama. As far as he was concerned, Oto had no beef with Kiri. He wasn't trying to gather information for his village, he was merely acting on his own interest. And his interests lied solely in the kelp.
Cracking his neck and letting out a yawn, he departed.
