Description: A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint.
Himitsu made his way to the public training area. He made his spot near the river just incase he really wanted a quick cool down at some point. He planned to be out here for awhile after all. His mother had made it perfectly clear that knowing one D-rank technique wasn't adequate for him to start learning more complex techniques. He needed to show he could handle it, learn on his own. If he could prove his discipline, and train up his body and chakra she might even loosen up on her hesitance to teach him the chakra scalpel so early on. He was in his typical robes and such, used to training in them by this point.
He didn't have any targets to practice on, not starting out at least. For now he just began with the movements, which was much safer actually. The high kicks came first. He lifted a long leg in a high aimed jab, then a sweep, getting a feel for the different types of kicks. He repeated over and over until the movement was no longer bearing any pause or hesitance and cut through the air fluidy. He switched to the other leg, doing the same thing until he received the same results as before.
After fifteen minutes he moved on to the lower kicks. Those were a bit more difficult. The high kicks were a distraction, a fake out to lure you opponents attention while you gave punishing lower blows. The lower kicks had to be where the most power and precision was focused. Plus, it was just difficult to practice low kicks while grounded by themselves. It took a bit longer, but once he found the desired grace he was ready to start pulling them off in tandem.
He stayed ground level at first. Jabbing out quick high kicks followed by more powerful low ones right after the other. He fell the first time, but quickly pushed himself back up, looking more than a little annoyed. He tried again and again for nearly an hour. The problems arose after each try. To much hesitance between kicks...not fast enough with the second bout...a rough transition. Then, after what seemed like forever he performed the technique perfect at ground level. It was time for the real fun, trying it airborne. A simple leap and attempting to execute it before landing was surprisingly easy due to having it so down pat by this point.
Time flew by, and fairly soon in was sunset. Just a little longer, he mentally told himself. He had to do it over again, had to get even better. With sweat dripping down pale skin another couple of hours later and a smile on his face, he finally decided to call it a night. Literally, seeing as how the time seemed to have shifted forward a couple of more hours since he last told himself 'a little longer'.
The boy sighed, he had the technique down, but now he didn't much feel like resting. The adrenaline was still heavy in his system. It would be awhile before it wore down, and Himitsu knew if he came home only to run his energy down even more he'd likely get a smack to the back of the head and a lecture about getting it out of his system before so he didn't cause other housemates to lose sleep. Considering the physical strength of most of his family, a smack to the head was quite the annoyance. A walk sounded like a much better alternative. He trekked through the training grounds, making his way to the deeper more secluded areas he normally stayed a distance from.
