Akki had climbed up one of the tallest mountains in kumo, where the air was thin and the clouds actually touched the rocky terrain. Akki had come up here so he could train in solitude, train a jutsu that would incorporate his skill in fuinjutsu with the abilities of his clan. Akki looked around for a measly rock that he could use for said training. He found a smooth one, its surface almost shiny. It was perfect for skipping across large bodies of water, and also perfect for his training.
Akki focused his chakra, concentrating on forming his darkness. The darkness slithered around Akki, as if waiting for orders, waiting to attack something. Akki looked at the rock, thinking of how normal sealing techniques worked, needing some sort of medium for the object to be sealed into. Well that was normally how it worked. Akki made a small gesture with his hand, and the darkness moved around the rock, engulfing it, then lifted it up. The rock sat on the small pillar of darkness, almost like a precious stone atop an alter of some sort.
Akki formed a hand seal, aiming to seal the rock in his darkness, and nothing happened. Akki thought back to the process used in fuinjutsu and remembered seals had to be written with some sort of medium before hand. Akki looked around, not finding anything of use. Akki bit his thumb, and drew the generic sealing symbol on his darkness. He had the darkness move the rock over the seal, and then tried again. This time a small puff of smoke appeared and the rock was gone. He had sealed the rock!
The next step was to recover the rock. Akki looked at the seal, and this time made the hand seal for unsealing, and with a puff of smoke the rock appeared. Akki was ecstatic, but he wasnt done training just yet. Akki resealed the rock, and this time moved the seal along the darkness till it came to the end of its formation. Akki had his darkness rise up as far as he could make it go, and then made the seal for unsealing. There was a puff of smoke on top of the pillar of darkness. Instead of bringing the darkness down slowly, Akki had the darkness grab the object in its grasp and throw it down towards himself. Akki reached up and grabbed the smooth rock as it came within reach. Looking at it Akki smiled. The darkness receded and Akki placed the rock in his pocket. He turned back towards the village and started walking home.
As long as the darkness came from him, he could move the seals anywhere on it, and that allowed him to think of some future possibilities. Some great possibilities...
