His eyes shot open in the midst of the night, ready to venture out and scout the likes of the barbarians in attempt to further study their culture as well as their people. The would be attempted to get recon on their technological and intellectual advances as well as their culture. There was so much to learn from the barbaric, inept culture. Perhaps their future had been molded differently, as they seemed to be so far behind in a world so progressive. Their strength rested in their own bodies rather than Jutsu or tactic. Basically, the stronger the man, the more people he could kill. Barbarian was a perfect name for them. However, this made Oboro realize that in reality, he had no clue what they called themselves. It probably wasn't barbarian. Though the did seem to speak a bit of the common tongue. There was much to see today, much indeed.
The crisp blankets peeled back from Oboro's body, revealing a small orange and black striped feline from between his feet. He scooped him up with one hand, awaking him from his cat nap. "Well good morning Hobbes. Did you sleep well last night?" Oboro would ask his tiger cub in a softer voice than normal. This little kitten already had a soft part in his heart, having only purchased him last night. He was immediately attached to the little fella, making him the third thing that Oboro had ever really cared for. He rolled the cub over on his back and stroked the white fur on Hobbes' chest. The cat purred softly as his chest was rubbed. He gazed up adoringly at his owner as he was pampered and spoiled. However, Oboro could not just stay in bed and play with Hobbes all day. He set the kitten aside and rose himself from his bed, making his way to the bathroom.
He flicked on the light to his rest room, fixating his eyes on the white shower. He reached for the hot handle, only twisting the cold handle slightly. He preferred the warmth of the water as opposed to the cool sensation. From within the shower, he did the usual. He rinsed his body before lavishing it in a lavender soap, bubbling it up as he went. He rinsed himself once more before soaking his hair with warm water and washing it out. His hair draped to his face, the matted hair clinging to his flesh. He turned off the water before reaching for his towel, frantically shaking it in his hair. He dried his body and gazed at the foggy mirror before him. He used the towel to wipe away a single streak, allowing him to see himself in the mirror. His pale face stared back at throne gawking at it, his hair draping in his face. He smiled at himself before reaching for the yellow and purple markers. Using the yellow, he drew a star on the left side of his face. Using the purple, he drew a tear drop on the right. He was now ready to set out.
He walked towards his bed where his clothes were placed. He dressed himself in his puffy shirt as well as his pantaloons. "Come on Hobbes. We're going off on an adventure. We'll be learning more about the people who live outside our village." He lifted his pet and placed him on his shoulder to rest before booping nose slightly. Hobbes nibbled on his finger as he poked him before laying his head down to get a bit more rest. Perhaps he was thinking of how he liked it here, or maybe he was just simply tired without a care in the world for the moment. Not much more was expected of him. He was only a a couple weeks old after all.
He didn't bother putting in his contacts today, as he was feeling a bit of a free spirit today. As he reached for the knob he was more and more confident in himself, never fearing the ability of others. He and Hobbes would strut through the village as countless children gathered around to admire the tiny tiger, gawking at his beauty. However, Hobbes seemed just as unamused the Uchiha was. They both yawned in unison, wiping away tears of boredom from their eyes. These people were such a bother. He forced his way through the crowd, off put by all the observers. This was too much publicity to be attempting a mission with the primary goal of collecting Intel. He didn't want everyone aware of his purpose and so, he dipped into an alleyway and stuffed Hobbes into his shirt before using transformation Jutsu to disguise himself as a simple civilian and Hobbes as a house cat. The two then made it all the way to the village gates before reverting back into their original forms. "That was a close one wasn't it? You seem to be quite the popular kitty." He Eskimo kissed the tiny feline.
From there the two made their way out of the gates having little resistance from the gate guardians as they recognized the face of Oboro Wakitaro. There seemed to be a lack of attacks from the barbs on the village today, as there always was on Saturdays. Perhaps they acknowledged a sabbath day or a day of rest. Perhaps they just simply got tired of raiding and plundering every day. That's why today was the perfect day to go and study them. Perhaps they wouldn't even notice his presence as he disguised himself. This was simply because he was sure he was infamous due to killing one of the barbarian leaders. They probably didn't enjoy that much of the Uchiha.
Oboro would walk a few miles in the direction of where the attacks had been coming from the past week. A settlement could then be seen nearly five hundred feet into a clearing. While still disguised by the shrubbery as well as hidden by the bamboo thickets. He would once again be forced to use his transformation Jutsu on himself. Hobbes would probably go unnoticed by them, acting as a simple cat. However, Oboro tanned his skin as well as made himself into a brunette with a harder looking face. He now wore minimal clothing as the barbarians before had been wearing. He also now had a bit of facial hair upon his face. He would blend in perfectly. His muscular build could be kept due to the fact that the foreign were rather built themselves.
Oboro walked into the settlement with little resistance. He was welcomed as one of their own. This was going much more smoothly that he had expected. Hobbes now rested on the top of his head, napping as always. "Hobbes you little devil. What am I to do with you?" Oboro said to himself. The little kitten brought him great amusement despite his uselessness. But he was indeed a pretty little kitty.
As he made his way through the town, it seemed as if the structures were more wooden and stone based than anything else. They likely hadn't been able to utilize iron other than in metallurgy thus far. The buildings seemed void of it. It was also clear that very few houses hand windows on them, but rather a drape of curtain inside. Everything seemed rather mesopatemic by comparison. They must live lives of utmost simplicity with a void of technology such as this one. The innovative drought however hindered their people, causing them to be intellectually inferior to that of their adversaries. It seemed as it their pure brawn was where they would make up for it. Even the children seemed to possess abnormal or rather superhuman strength for their age. Though, they still lacked strategy. They seemed to run around being just what they referred to as, barbarians. There weren't many work places around, but rather more butchers, smiths and warriors than anything else running about. Perhaps that was the secret to their strength, the pure meat diets that everyone seemed to be going under.
Oboro would spend the remainder of the day observing the village, though it seemed like not much of his knowledge had changed. There was just a large mass of intellectually incapable people just next to his own village. He did however learn that there were always four Barbarian kings at a time. If one was to die, the next strongest would immediately take his place, rendering his efforts futile unless he killed each and every last one of them. He had assumed this much upon his departure. While he was attempted to gain Intel on the settlement, it seemed more as if nothing would change so he simply played with the always sleepy Hobbes for the majority of the visit. Hobbes himself toyed with the village children, taking their food whenever given the chance. "Oh you little Devil." Oboro would put it simply. He was happy to have brought his pet on this mission.
