With a stretch and a yawn Oboro was able to force himself from his sheets before wiping away the crust that had formed in his eye overnight. He looked over at Hobbes who seemed to be growing more and more each night. He was a bit disappointed that he no longer owned a cute little baby tiger anymore. He did indeed get Hobbes to make him strong and learn new techniques and such with the beast, however he did miss the cuteness that was carried in a cub. And it was not that Hobbes was no longer cute, it was just that he was a beast now. He required a lot more food than before and his scratches left much deeper flesh wounds in his body. While he was able to remove the scarring, it didn't stop the fact that it hurt like hell. The claws could tear up to inches at a time into his skin. Once, he was convinced he would bleed to death from a blow the tiger had delivered to him. He looked at his cat and commented, "You know, a tiger such as yourself can carry two times your body weight up a tree at over thirty miles an hour." That makes you quite the monster doesn't it? Perhaps I should be the one who treats you as if you were a master." He chuckled as he looked at the tiger. The beast simply lay on its back and looked up at the Uchiha with endearing eyes. It was true that the tiger was loyal , that much was obvious. His heart was obviously in the right place at most times, however he was rather impulsive like many wild animals are. However, he would need to be a bit more disciplinary on the tiger to correct its methods for doing missions. While the tiger was already capable of performing jutsu, he had not learned a single on yet. However, he had a good bit of speed and strength. This was something the man reflected highly on. Though he had to admit, the main reason the tiger was so strong and fast was primarily due to the fact that it was a tiger, one of the strongest creatures in the feline kingdom. "What am I going to do with you. I mean... You're already B Rank. Soon to be A Rank. And you still haven't learned a single technique. Silly cat..." It was a pressing issue to the man because like any parent, he wanted the best for his pet. Obviously of course. However, his next concern was this list of missions the two had to do today. They had to complete four A Ranked missions before the day ended. They once again had to fend off the village from the four summoners that constantly seemed to find their ways back to the village in order to constantly stay in the hair of the Otokage. Seeing the reports on his mission .lists was honestly quite a boring sight nowadays. He constantly craved to do something new though new issues failed to arise in the village and so nothing new was ever risen from the depths of the world. He craved adventure. Yet adventure seemed to be a bit out of reach for the moment.
"Dammit Hobbes, come on. We need to get ready for the day." He would say as he looked at the tiger that was now dozing off. He shook his head and rubbed his temples before making his way to the bathing room for a shower. As he allowed the hot water to run down his body, he contemplated of any advances that he could make upon the village to better the area. So far, there seemed to be so few issues that everything was just sort of dragging along. However, he did not like to look at it in this matter. Peace and ignorance is what the people wanted so as long as it kept going this way, there would be no issue. The only issue that remained was within himself.
He made his way out of the personal waterfall in his home and stared into his mirror as usual. What was wrong with him today? He just felt absolutely deprived of any life which really didn't make sense considering he was normally filled with hope, dreams and plans. Today was just dull. Perhaps it wouldn't be the best day to perform combat related A rank missions considering he may develop the urge to throw himself into a fireball and just end it at much faster than it had begun. However, he would not allow such dark thoughts to plunder the recesses of his mind as they were already managing to do. He was already frustrated with himself for allowing them to do so.
He stepped from the shower and dressed himself in his normal clothes. His puffy shirt clung to that of his flesh due to his failure to fully dry himself with the towel on his sink. He simply allowed his damp skin to be cloaked in the clothing rather than finishing the job. After looking the mirror, his hair was as droopy as his eyes were, showing no signs of positivity. Today likely wouldn't be too fun. The people that were killed today would be mindlessly slaughtered rather than prayed for. On most days, the Uchiha would likely show signs of mercy based on his killing. Today would not be one of those days.
He finally made his way to his bedroom once more to fetch his tiger as well his Otokage hat. He then entered the living room, where the exit to his home was before gazing over the village from his window view. This world really was gorgeous, but it wasn't very amusing. However, he would grit his teeth and then got on with it. There was no other way around it. "Hobbes, lets go get this over with. We don't have all day to waste either way... Lets get on the road." He would say as he made his ten paces to his doorknob. As soon as he opened it, the cold air hit his skin. He could feel the tingle in his lips as he stepped his way down the concrete steps that helped hold together this place he called a home. He breathed out, allowing the cold to condense his life force into that of mist to fade into the sky. He could feel the bottom of his eyelids well from the frosty air nipping at his face. So tempted was he to close his eyes and allow the winter to take him away from the place. Yet the warmth from his heart pushed him forward, into the cold. His eyelids stuck together each and every time he blinked, leaving the temptation to keep them shut for good present. 'Why am I here.' He would ask himself silently as he stared into the gray sky. The clouds illuminated the sky, acting as the light source for the attention of the existential man who was lost
in the loom of a scythe, waiting for it to fall upon his soul. A shame it wouldn't happen sooner than later.
Though perhaps it was better that it didn't. He surely had things to live for. The village was obviously progressing. He had a beautiful girlfriend. And his tiger was soon to progress to the likes of an A Rank pet. There were obvious ups in his life. He had a best friend. He had power. He had those who loved him. He should be smiling now, grateful for all of the blessings in his life. Though he didn't. He felt frigid from the thought of existence. 'Why am I here?' He would ask himself once more, as if the answer would appear from nowhere.
He looked down at his tiger who seemed to be giving him a goofy smile. "You're probably not even happy. Likely just hungry..." He would say to the carnivore. Though the smile of the beast did not fade, not one bit. This brought a bit of light into the soul fo the Uchiha and forced him into thoughts of all the other things existing in his life. Akira, his one and only love; Shinsui, his best friend; Garuda his brother. Maybe that's why he existed. 'Maybe its for them...' He thought before a smile crossed his face. Perhaps today would not be as bad as he thought it would. Though his heart still felt a bit heavy from all the thought pouring into it. However, his pulse wouldn't stop the dash that he broke into before giving his tiger a grin. The two ran off into the distance before making their way to the walls. They were on patrol today or so it seemed. However, he had reports of the summoners once more so he would be forced to report on the scene and take care of the nuisances once more. "I kind of wonder why so many keep coming back. We killed them it seems more than once each yet they just get replaced over and over again as if they were the same person with a different face." They were just filled in one by one and it felt somewhat of a conspiracy of sorts.
However as he began to cross the gates, he received an unnerving feeling deep in his stomach as if something was about to go horribly wrong. What was this feeling of mortal fear inside his chest, almost like a third eye had been opened in his mind, warning him of the dangers to come. Such a foreshadow would generally not be ignored by the likes of Oboro, however he could not simply allow his village to be attacked by the likes of the summoners and turn a blind eye. That was not the way of a Hero. That was not the way of a Kage. And that was not the way of Oborodzuki Uchiha. And so he and the tiger known as Hobbes rushed forward onto the wall.
As he shifted his body, allowing the chakra in his feet to focus and him to be able to climb vertically up the ninety degree angle, still at as fast a pace as on the ground. Hobbes simply used his claws to dig into the surfaces, allowing himself to bound up the wall at an equal speed. The two tossed each other a look, as if making it a sort of competition of the two. Admittedly, this did help to ease the nerves of Oboro as he had still been wary of that feeling that hit him like a steam engine train going a hundred miles an hour down the steel rails.
At the top of the walls, the cold air hit the two abruptly, almost stopping the both of them in their tracks completely. However, their strength allowed them to push on and then run further down the wall. Luckily, thanks to gravity the descent would be a bit easier than anything else the two had done that day. This especially included opening his eyes for the first time that day. He felt like an entirely different person in the last five minutes than he had all of the morning. The smile on his face failed to fade to a place far away; he wore it right on his face as he rushed into the bamboo forest where the summoners had always gathered in order to try to attack the village from a distance. The sneaky bastards always used the same tactics. They would never face a man of his power face to face out of fear of what he might do to them. Hobbes had a look of a scowl as well as the Otokage did. However, that was when his sharingan caught a rustle in the forest as he activated his sharingan. This was the first clue in finding the culprits.
After following the path of moving leaves, the first person Oboro found was the man with the ability to summon hawks. This would not be too fun if a swarm of birds decided to infiltrate the area. As he noticed the Uchiha was right on his tail, he decided to turn around and lift his robes, revealing the birds that were hidden under them. However, the amount that he released must have been chakra oriented due to the fact that there was a dozen and a half at least all at once, flying at Oboro at top speed. However, immediately Hobbes jumped out in front of the attackers and swatted three of the birds to the ground immediately, destroying their entire bodies. However, that obviously was not the end of the raid as they just kept coming out of each opening that the man possessed in his attire. The sleeves, the neck, the entracnce, all flooding with the likes of the feathered creatures. This was highly annoying to the likes of Oboro who was now being pecked at by a mass of ravens as well as the birds sharp beaked cousins. It was highly frustrating and so he made a sprint through the mob of birds, shielding his eyes from the beaks of the winged demons. He could not afford to have his precious eyes plucked out by the monsters floating about him. He swatted at the masses though he was unable to get rid of all of them. These things were quite the annoyance. And so, he had to get rid of the likes of them as quickly as possible. He removed the Kusanagi that was hidden behind his back for this whole time and began hacking away rapidly at the ravens that surrounded his body, killing each instantly on impact with the blade. The sword cut through their flesh and bone like it was nothing more than warm butter. However, the sheer amount still caused an issue for the swordsman as there were just too many to slash away at once and they only kept coming over time. He would be forced to eliminate their source and go for the man that was attacking. He so he put both of his arms before him in an X Shape, still wielding the sword in his hand. While the grip of his hand on its hilt was rather loose, he was confident in his ability to retrieve it should it be knocked from his hand. This man was just a pawn, a scrub in the making. And his end was near. Oboro bounded with the blade in his hand and tossed his body towards the man. Not even the combined strength of the birds could match the amount of muscle he had put into his legs before launching himself at the man and opening his arms, allowing the Kusangai to slash open the chest of the man with a wide sweep. Blodd splattered as the blade passed through the heart of the man, the birds dropped dead one by one. It was truly the end of the man. Oboro lifted himself due to the fact that he had fallen after the slash due to the amount of force he had put into it. "I will be killing each and every one of you bastards who think you can get away with attacking my village. You will all die. So please, for the sake of my attention span, do not come back again, otherwise I will torture each of you before killing the lot of you." He said before he kicked the body of the new corpse to the ground with a single foot. However, he did not have time to imagine how he would torture each of them before reminding himself that the others would still be right ahead of him. They seemed to be repeating the same path as the original four had, giving the man a sense of Deja Vu. He didn't appreciate the sense of cliche, though it seemed rather odd that despite the fact that the rest had be murdered, they were aware of the exact same path that the others had taken. Luckily, he knew exactly where that would be and was able to follow the group into the secluded grotto that was hidden within the bamboo thickets just north of where he already was. The tiger summoner as well as the hound summoner seemed to have stopped here before turning around and looking at the the man who was following them. They instantly Behan unleashing their creatures upon him once more, though were unable to produce as many as the man in green from before had. And that would be their undoing, for Oboro was able to dodge the bigger hounds and tigers due to his sharingan allowing the avoidance of the beasts. However the man with the bears was nowhere to be seen, and this worried the Uchiha. He couldn't sense him or anything. As if knowing what he was thinking, in unison the man and woman before him spoke. "He's long gone now. Off to get the others." Due to the creepiness of the situation, Oboro wished to wrap things up. He ran at the two with his longsword called Kusanagi in and and slashed the head off of the tiger summoner. The only reason he was capable of this was because Hobbes was fending off the likes of her tigers as well as the hounds both at the same time. Upon seeing his larger decapitated, the hound summoned didn't flinch, nor did he back down one not. And so, his head was slashed off in the swoop following the first, ending both of their lives in the same short moment. Of course, as the two fell he would rush off into the forest and attempt to find the man that was capable of summoning the bears, however it was obvious that the man was long gone, or hadn't even showed up on the scene in the first place.
