Yuuji

The Mask of Kohona

The afternoon sky was dull and grey, the rain continued to fall lightly onto the ground and the wind blew gently as Yuuji started making his way home from the graveyard, only moment ago did he witness his parents get buried, Hitomi and Kojirama along with another Senju were there to witness his emotional breakdown which lead to Yuuji injurying himself by hitting the ground several times with his right hand, which was still bruised and bloodied, also covered in specs of dirt along with parts of his body along with his attire.

As he walked along the empty quiet streets, he held onto his right arm with his left hand, almost staring into the floor as he walked, not really caring for where he was going, but Yuuji knew exactly where he was going, he was returning to his home, the one place he didn't want to be, because he knew that he would be alone, with no-one to greet or nor any family to spend time with, but he had no choice, what else could he do.
After a few minutes Yuuji stops in his steps as he turns to face his home, a house large enough to fit a small family, it looked alittle old and worn down with age, but still strong in structure yet the building wasn't much to look at, one could expect this from the homes of a branch house member of the Hyuga Clan.
"Well, this is it."
He mutters quietly to himself before walking up the path towards the front door of his home, he let go of his right arm as he reached out for the door handle with his left, but he seemed rather hesitant to open it, he couldn't help but recall what he had saw after shortly entering his house, but Yuuji held back the tears as he gritted his teeth and opened the door before entering, he took one look around before removing his shinobi sandals and lazily kicked them to one side near the wall.

Upon entering through the front door there was a large hallway which lead straight down to a closed door, his parents bedroom and further on the right down the hallway was a screen-door which was left open, inside the room there were clothes over the floor and the room was in a right state, this was Yuuji's room he hadn't really been bothered to look after the house along with himself.
To the left of the hallway with a large opening which lead into a kitchen and dining area, with standard furniture but this however seemed quite well maintained and cleaned, it looked like it hadn't been touched since Yuuji never really had the need to go in there and do anything with it and just past that there was a living area with a door in the corner of the room,  leading to the bathroom which was also well maintained, also in the the living area there was another opening that lead out into the long hallway closer to the door of his parents bedroom.

Yuuji stood there in the hallway, staring directly down it towards his parents bedroom door, slowly clenching his left fist, trying to remain calm and not be haunted by the events that happened here, but he was struggling to hold it back, no matter how hard he tried.

Even with the sky dulled out this young girl tried to have hope from this dreariness. She wanted to help any way she could and in any way possible for him, no one deserved what he was given in life. With that it was fairly easy to follow him, whether the blood on tracks or even his own chakra if need be she wanted to somehow make sure he knew he wasn't alone. She finally came front to the house where he went into. She looked up and down at the structure seeing it's unkempt way of what it once was, however it couldn't have been that way from just a week or two, it would have been years to make it so damaged.

She shook her head from the thought and just before the door was completely closed she went inside with a serious but concerned expression, looking over the home and the living conditions of it. She noticed his shoes to the side and decided upon courtesy to remove her own, as she did. Rather than make too much noise she decided to get to work on things herself, tying her own hair back in the process and heading to the kitchen area, she knew he wanted peace for a small while, which is fine but without one working arm to cook properly and a decreased appetite as it was, she had no choice but to cook something. As she walked into the untouched area that was the kitchen she went to the cabinets, looking for fresh verses the spoiled within them.

It was then that she found nearly all of the meats that ever where there were completely spoiled and festering. She always hated cleaning whenever it was her own chore but now with the situation at hand she felt it would be for the better. After finally cleaning out the spoiled foods she was left with very little and simple ingredients. Potatoes, Cucumbers, Instant stuff, and maybe some canned items. It was enough for something, just something.

She gathered and read the canned items, one of them happened to be some cheap tuna, giving her the option of a perhaps soup. She tried to turn on the stove, having a bit of a hard time considering it's use wasn't much for a very long period. She did however finally get it started as she nodded carrying on to find a pot of some sort. Once she did she checked for cleanliness as she sat it upon the heating stove top. It was then that she found there was no water there, next best thing was rain which at least was pure and healthy.

After holding a bucket outside to fill it a bit she poured the water into the pot and then begun to open every single package of those instant noodles or ramen or whatever brand it was. Dumping everything except the flavor into the water in the pot. Of course this cooking process would drag on for what seemed to be hours upon hours until the house began to smell like the food she was creating. She wasn't a confectionery cook or something but being that her father never leaves the home, he made the meals and thus taught her how to make some basic meals like soups or cookies or something.

It was then that she grabbed for a bowl that was usable and clean, that and a spoon and though it was a fairly obvious mess, the food was done and she would clean it afterwards. She might have accidentally over done the potatoes however otherwise it was a natural soup anyone would enjoy. She now only had to wait for him to notice, which it was obvious to notice with the smell and the sounds of clattering bowls and utensils.

The Mask of Kohona

Yuuji turnt his head to Hitomi as she entered the house, watching her as she took off her shoes and put them aside as she suddenly went off into the kitchen, he was pretty surprised how quickly she had got into motion of doing things, but he couldn't help but feel even worse as she started clearing up, chucking spoiled foods and what not away, he should've done this himself, he shouldn't of let the house get into this state.
"You know you don't have to do that.. I can handle it."
He speaks up as he looks alittle dishearted after rubbing at the back of his head with his free uninjured hand as he removes the forehead protecter and fashions the long bandana into a sling as he secures his right arm into it carefully.
"I can't help but think you're forcing it on yourself to do this though."
He leans against the wall as he watches her in the kitchen, struggling with bits and pieces, trying to offer his help here and there, but he can't help but think he'll be shunned away if he even tries.

Yuuji sighs quietly as he removes himself from the wall as he walks into the hallway and towards the screen door of his room before opening it, he removed his arm from the make-shit sling as he undressed the upper half of himself and placed on an old raggy open shirt, it was probably dirty but he couldn't care less as he put his arm back into the makeshift sling.
"She just looks like she's treating this as a chore, it feels like shes doing it just for the sake of doing it."
He sighs once again as he sits down on the bed and scratches at the back of his head once more before noticing the smell of the food that has been prepared.
"Considerin' what was left, I'm surprised she managed to actually cook something."
Yuuji stood up as he exited his room and slid the screendoor back into place before staring into the kitchen from the hallway and enters to see what she had prepared.

She looked back over to him a few moments, smiling a little in her silence. She was intent on doing this whether he thought to need it or not. Of course it felt awkward having to ignore his help, she hated it cause of her inefficiency and such but he was weak and with only one arm working well enough as it was she really just wanted him to rest. She sighed for a moment before turning off the stove and sitting a bowl of the soup on a wooden counter, slightly pushing it to him. "Go ahead and try it, I'll get my own soon enough."

She said waiting for him to do so as she notice the other bowls where pilled into the sink, however she managed to find a cracked but clean bowl and filled it too with the soup. "You don't need to overdo much, I'm still healthy and able for now so I will help you, even with things you assume to take it upon yourself." She began to eat the soup from her own separate bowl whilst standing. She continued to do so for a while before sitting the bowl back down, being it was half way empty she wasn't finished, but seemed to join into the chat more so.

"Consider it repayment for the teaching." She said laughing lightly, she didn't mean what she said, as if to lighten the mood with a joke, however it was just something that came to mind as he was telling her not to force work upon her back. "I've done this before when my parents were injured from a mission, they insisted I didn't need too...but who could if I didn't? Especially for Hoshi...ah! I never did tell you my little brother's name did I?" She perked up with a smile as she carried on to picking her bowl back up to continue.

As soon as Yuuji entered the kitchin he looked down onto the wooden counter to notice the bowl of soup, he picked up the spoon and started poking around at it a few times to see what was in there, he wasn't all that fussed about what he ate, if it tasted good or bad it didn't really matter, as long as it gave his body the stuff it needed to function he'd of eaten it, even though his appitite wasn't there he couldn't just turn this food away considering the amount of cooking and cleaning she just did, let alone clearing up after the meal also, Yuuji still couldn't help but feel somewhat bad over the matter, even though she mentioned that he shouldn't overdo stuff and that she'd help.
"I wouldn't really say that I thought you anything, if anything I pushed you into the mud a few times."

Yuuji's voice lacked emotion as he stared down into the soup, swirling the spoon around in it slowly and repeatedly as he talked, a frown continues to break through his mask as he listens to her words.
"I can't say you told me that much about your family, let alone your little brother or his name."
He recalled the night where he had walked her home, before stopping outside of her house watching her go inside and be greeted instantly by her little brother and her parents aswell no doubt, he couldn't help but bite his bottom lip, clenching his fingers around onto the spoon tightly, knowing this is something he'll never have now, but all his crying and his screaming was done, even if he tried to force it, nothing would of happened.

She shook her hand to him as if to mention her meaning, she finished her bowl and sat it on the counter. She then shakes her head for a moment looking on towards him with a nod. "I didn't mean that training...something much more useful in life." She waited for him to start eating patiently, she knew he didn't have the appetite for it but he needed too. She knew that very clearly and was intent on staying there as long as need be to wait for him to eat even a spoonful.

"I told you already, I consider you family...and I can bet if mom and dad knew too they'd agree with me." She placed her hand on the hand of his with the spoon smiling up at him. "It's not replacement, no one could do that...but it's people who want to be there for you, and help you." She then picked her hand to go behind her back as she looked around at the empty home. "The name Shiruku is from my father Dageki, it means silk binned winds. Soft as silk, free as wind, and blinded by thread not by clan or power, but just thread that can sew in new lines to itself." She carried on as if like a story was being told.

"My mother Kūki is of a village but also a sparse clan known as the star clan. Their clan however...is dwindling and with that so is their knowledge on their own clan's signature jutsu. She would know your story better than I do. Many hated her clan, let alone herself however no one could seem to hate how beautiful she makes apparel." She laughed a bit stopping for there, it would be no use to a story if someone didn't listen to it, and call it intuition but she felt it was probably boring him.

Yuuji blinks a few times as he starts to look slightly confused, trying to work out what she meant when she said "Something much more useful in life."
But he couldn't work it out so he decided to ask her instead.
"What do you mean by that exactly?"
He continues to stir the spoon around in the bowl as he raises the spoon up, looking at the soup on it before returning it to the bowl and lets out a sigh, even trying to force it down it didn't seem to work as he raised his head again as he listened to hear words.
"Not exactly sure why you'd want to consider me as family, I mean look at me it didn't really go well that did it?"

Yuuji tried a different approach towards the subject, maybe humor wasn't the way to go as he frowned once more and shooked his head once more before she placed her hand ontop of his, smiling at him and began listening to her words once more.
"I can't say I've ever heard of either, I think I've heard something about the first one, but the Star Clan? Can't say I've ever heard anything of the sorts, what is it exactly?"
He decided that it might be better to take some interest into this, remembering what happened back in the graveyard sometime ago, where she had cried and paniced over something to do with her family and mostly her brother, could it be something to do with the clans or perhaps it was just another matter.

She looked of to the side as she thought on it smiling before closing her eyes to go on to her speaking. "Hope..." She didn't explain much on it however she was looking outside to the rain, perhaps as a point out to what she meant, it's hard to let down a grudge however it's near impossible to give up the memory of being aided for herself. It was then that she heard the spoon clatter on the bowl as he stopped, she turned back to him in surprise before begining to frown for a moment. "No one said you had to be perfect to be in a family." She mentioned in a quiet tone as she turned her attention to the bowl.

It looks to seem trying to act happy and cheery doesn't work, but he needed to eat and she knew that. She shook her head sighing out and pulling her hand through her hair and leaving it on her head to the side. "I know, like I mentioned...their clan is dwindling rapidly. Frankly my mother knows better of the information." She said quickly, not going into detail as she just was. Seems her mind was fixated on other things.

She wasn't even making eye contact now, mostly because she was more worried upon him eating. She quietly mumbled still looking to the bowl. It seems she wasn't going to give up at least, however now it looks like she was trying to be forward with things. Even if it seemed rude as hell, she was worried just as much. "Eat" She said in a normal almost monotone voice, if he didn't listen to cheery or sad and praising then she decided to just pull his own game.

The Mask of Kohona

Yuuji's mask completely broke as he looked completely baffled as she spoke, clearly he had no idea what she meant when she said "hope", he racked his brain trying to think of a possible reason to it, but he kept  coming short and finally let out a sigh and decided to give up on that fact.
"Even so, it just seems like I don't fit in with a family or maybe even.. I just don't seem to fit."
His tone never changed as he spoke the words, as sad as they might be, they were true to him, Yuuji had never found a place where he could fit in, not at home, not in a squad, not anywhere, as he gathers his thoughts once again on the matter, he never really had a childhood, the same grueling training, continuing to push himself to the limit, repeating the routine over and over, he couldn't help but wonder if his life had any worth, he grew scared of making friends knowing that one day that they might not be there or that they may end up the same way the others did that night those years ago, but no matter what he did, nor how cruel or cold he may of seemed this girl hadn't left his side, she continued to stay there and help him even though he didn't ask and everytime he couldn't help but wonder why, but never decide to ask.

He broke his train of thought as he listened to her speak before noticing that her attitude had changed before she had looked to the bowl before he was instructed by her to eat, he noticed the look on her voice and the tone of her voice, it all sounded so familar to him.
"Is that how I sound and look huh, guess that can be intimidating or perhaps even frightful at times."
He twirled spoon around in his hands as it continued to make the soup in the wooden bowl around, after gathering a spoonful he raised to to his lips to eat it, which nearly resulted in him spitting it out, not because it was horrible or badly cooked, just simply because he didn't want to, he didn't care, but he forced it down regardless.
"I wasn't always like this, I was happy at one point but now with all thats happened, but when I see mysefl smiling in my reflection in the window glass, I get shivers, it almost like it isn't me, I feel out of place, it's like, "What the hell are you smiling for? Who the hell -are- you?" and as soon as that happens, I come to my senses."
Yuuji sighed quietly as he lowered his head down staring into the bowl of soup, staring at the blurry reflection of himself in it he raises his uninjured arm to go swipe the bowl from the table and send it flying across the room but he quickly halts his actions as he lets out a sigh turning his gaze to the aside, and puts his arm back down onto the table.

She looked back up to him with the rain outside beating upon the window and echoing around with wind whistling for a moment, she wasn't sure how to get through to him but it seemed something was doing it. She never feared his face or attitude, mostly because she knew how it felt once before. Having to resort to it once more made her feel uneasy but if it didn't work then she'd never get through to him.

Her past was like a bird trapped in an eggshell. She never went up to others, it wasn't that she was shy of them actually the opposite. Trust was always an issue with herself, she always made a conversation starter an end if anyone approached, especially with such a stern voice. It's why she could go into the medical field, because she never had much of anyone close to herself, it was as if she barely cared for the person, just enough to heal them. However that was broken by her sensei, he knew betrayal and how difficult trust was. With that it dawned on her that even with all of that he'd been through he was still making friends and comrades.

She noticed him talking to her about her voice, her expression didn't seem to change as she decided to talk. "No one said you had to smile...I'd never force someone to feel something they aren't. I know it hurts, I don't know how much but I know it does, and because of that I know it's difficult. But there isn't anything in this world worth harming yourself for. Because no matter how much it hurts..." She paused watching him try to throw the bowl but stop himself. "It hurts more to deny being yourself...So don't force a smile, and don't judge one...just let it be...because in the end it's not your eyes that should be feeling emotions. It's your mind..."

Yuuji let out another sigh as he rubbec at the back of his before lowering that hand down to push the bowl away, seeming to be done with it after a spoonful, after the sigh the emotionless mask returned to his face as he looked at Hitomi and listened as she spoke to him.
"I don't even know who myself is anymore, like I mentioned a moment ago I keep getting conflicted with seeing myself smile and what not, maybe this is just who I am, some husk of hidden emotions."
He turns his head to look at the window, staring at the rain hit the glass panels, listening to the sound it made also, the rain was always comforting in a sense, the sound of rain was always nice to listen to it just always seemed so peaceful.

"I don't even know if I want to live in this house anymore, it just feels so empty now and so far its just bringing me nothing but bad memories and regrets, I'd probably be better off just living out in the forest or something, just somewhere thats way or maybe, I don't know."
He raises his hand to scratch at some of the dried mud on his skin before turning his attention back to Hitomi.
"Sorry about covering you in mud as well by the way, guess I went alittle over the top, I should probably clean up or something or get cleaned up, you can get cleaned up if you want too."
He seemed to speak out loud with his thoughts, being stuck between in choices on what he had wanted to do about the situation, but in his state he found it difficult to decide as he sat there in the chair, looking alittle lost in his thoughts as silence fell onto the room.

She was quiet as he spoke, she felt it would be wrong to interrupt him in such a time of confusion. She just wanted to help him, and it was but so slowly and inching by as the time went on. She was frowning as she looked up to him then watched him look to the rain outside. The silence just echoing the creaks of the house and the rain pouring down. She then took a minute before speaking up to him. "Well then, rather than say it's gone...maybe you need to find a new self, someone you want to be and slowly work on that. I didn't want to be a weak felt person so I strive to be a strong person. Even then it means with my emotions too."

It was then he mentioned feeling out of place here in this home. This empty house as it were as she thought on and heard him before shrugging to him. "Well, if you want you could try to live with my family...we have a guest room, since me and my brother share a room. I know you want to escape from what happened and all but, you need to be surrounded by people who care, not alone...never alone." She spoke out but began to look at his hand as he scratched it getting flakes of mud off it. She nodded to him.

"I washed my hands before making the meal however yes I do need to wash up. I only noticed though you don't have running water here...look I invite you to come with me to my home so we can both get cleaned up, we have much warmer waters since we're near the school." She pointed out watching him sit back without much of a sound. Seems he was stressed out and needed to get out of here, at least for a while if not for a moment. "It'll get you out of here and clear up your mind for a while, okay?" She said going up to him and tugging on his arm. She wasn't sure what else to do, this place had to many memories for him to dwell on and it would just cause more pain for the while he stayed. It would be better to have a second choice for the time being.

Yuuji blinked alittle surprised by her words as he shook his head.
"I can't even see the point in finding something new, whatever I find I'm probably gonna lose it again, even I say I won't, If I lose attach with my emotions I just won't have to care anymore."
He slumps forward across the table slightly, resting his chin onto his left arm which sits on it, avoiding crushing his right due to the damage as he continues to listen to her talk before tilting his head to the side on his arm to look at her and raises an eyebrow.
"I couldn't do that, I'd be a burden and I don't know how to act around other people as it is, they don't need someone with such horrible rumors about themselves either."
He let out a quiet sigh before turning his head on his arm once more to look back into the wood of the table before raising it yet again, this time confused.
"We.. Don't have running water?"
It's been so long since Yuuji has actually used the house for something other than sleeping, he had completely forgot how unequipped his house was, his father or his mother always had to go and collect water if they had wanted something, he had always used the public  bathhouses to clean up in also.
"Oh yeah.. We don't, I had completely forgot. but like I said I can't be a burden besides I'm not that filthy and I can just use the public bathhouse."
Now he was just making excuses, his attire with completely stained in dirt with specs of mud, along with both of his hands and some of his face, also having clumps of hair stick to the side of his face as well which resulted in his not budging as she tugged on his arm.

She tilted her head for a moment with his answer towards her. "You have to free some of yourself to find yourself sometimes. I know that doesn't make sense but look...don't worry on it to much, you have enough to worry on." She reached to his shoulder, lightly laying her hand upon it and looking over the wounded arm. She was still deeply worried about it, however it wasn't an issue to pull up yet, not while he was still barely eating as it was. She thought back in her mind on it however was snapped by his words that came next.

"You're no burden, considering on how nice you are I'm pretty sure it'll be fine. Besides, a public bathhouse can't rinse wounds let alone that much mud. You'll have more rumors while going to there than my own home. My family kinda isn't known much so people can't rumor if they don't know anything in the first place." She made her point across, whether he liked it or not she was going to get him out of here and let him relax as he should. She rolled her eyes before pulling on his right arm that wasn't harmed. "Come on, besides if anyone wants to start something they can go through me first!" She spoke out in almost a confident way, most she wanted to do was make sure he'd just come with.

Yuuji let out another sigh as he slowly sat back up right and looked at her before answering.
"How can I not worry? I just keep thinking I'm this token of bad luck, I'd hate if anything happened to you or your family, so much for being a shinobi who can protect.."
He continues to put himself down, struggling to get out of this emotional state.
Then all of a sudden, he let out a few laughs, even if they did sound fake and half arsed, he actually found her next comment.
"Have to go through you first? I think I'll have to pass and deal with it myself, I've had a few death threats and such before."
Even though the last part was dark, it was true there had been many occasions where Yuuji had recieved death threats from family members due to the rumors, yet no one has actually tried anything, the next thing he knew he was being dragged along and grimacing in pain as she tugged on his right arm.
"Gah..one night, ow. Should be fine , but don't I need some things?"
Yuuji motioned down the hallway down to his room, he'd need a spare change of clothes or something atleast, otherwise walking round in the nude in someone else's home wouldn't be a wise move.

She listened to him and merely wasn't sure what to do completely. She then heard him mention the word protect and was a bit shocked by this. Not because he said it, but how many times she herself mentioned it. "Protection...isn't about luck. Yes bad things happen, but luck isn't anything to do with it. Things lead to it, that or there wasn't a way to stop it in the first place. The only thing you can do is become stronger because protecting yourself is hard enough, let alone another person." She looked at him in a serious mind and expression. "Protection isn't forever, you can't just put someone in a bubble and hope nothing bursts it. The most you can do is be there and be strong for them when or if it does burst."

She eased up a bit, after all it was a touchy subject and he didn't need to be battered for it. However a light laugh came from him after she had mentioned herself. "Look, I meant that to help your physically and mentally...just cause you act like they bounce off don't mean they do, do they." She asked as if stating an answer. "I don't care what anyone says to me, because I only care about those who care for me, and know me. They could pick on my hair or how rude I am and I still don't care...so long as i'm showed how untrue they are when people who care for me are there and say such nice things." She smiled a bit, easing back as the conversation was luckily a bit lighter and happier.

She only just noticed what she was grabbing and immediately let go of his arm in shock and put her hand to her mouth in some horror. "Oh gosh i'm so sorry!" However he seemed to shake it off and so with a quick sigh of relief as she nodded to him. "Sure, one night...you're welcome to stay longer if needed but yes you might need to gather some things." She allowed that kind of release to let him gather the items he'd need with a bit of a light giggle. It was funny, she had the confidence in herself to actually say she could do something. She was growing mentally, and that only meant she was getting to that so called stronger she mentioned.

The Mask of Kohona

Yuuji grumbled as he was pulled along by her, listening to what she had to say, she made a clear point but he didn't want to believe it as he answered her.
"It feels that way though in all honesty, just nothing good has ever seemed to have happened and I couldn't give a damn about myself, if I end up dying trying to protect something I'd of failed everything that I worked for and I'll stop anyone who will try to take that away from me."
His words sounded serious and sad as the emotionless mask finally returned to his face, he just didn't want to believe that something like this could be broken so easily.
Yuuji raised his gaze to look at her, noticing that she had eased up, her words struck the truth yet again before he decided to reply.
"Well perhaps its time that I don't let what people say bother me anymore, perhaps there are just somethings that I shouldn't care about."
He let out a sigh of relief as she let go of his injured arm, literally just gritting his teeth and baring with it, it wasn't that it that was a serious pain it was more like the annoying kind of pain when you stub your toe against the side of the door frame.
"Theres no need to apologize, you didn't mean it."
As they exit into the hallway leading towards the front door, Yuuji stopped by the door of his bedroom before entering and closing the door behind him, part of him just wanted to stay in here and not leave, just lay there on the middle of the floor and not do anything, but he overcame the feeling as he took off the shirt and decided to just pull on a plain vest before packing a spare change of clothes into a drawstring bag and threw it over his shoulder before leaving the room, back out into the hallway and exits the house through the front door, he would wait for Hitomi to exit before locking the door behind them.

She was putting up the bowls they had used into the sink for the time being, and seeing as there was little left she covered the pot with a top and left it there. There wasn't much she could do about it anyhow. Even if so it was leftovers, perhaps he could try to eat some when he'd come back here, or if. It was then that she saw his expression and wasn't sure how to react other than what she knew. "Well if you can't care about yourself you can't help others. I know that seems hard to do and see for yourself but, you're very important and you're needed whether you think so or not."

She smiled a little to him, in a sort of calm essence as she listened to his reply. She still hated the fact she forgot about the harmed arm for that time being, perhaps though it may have helped with this decision. "They don't know the real you, so they don't deserve it either, In mind and matter." She mentioned as she watched him go down the hallway. She went to the door and put her own shoes on before waiting there for him. She was worried about him coming along slower than usual however seeing him come back out with a bag over his shoulder made that worry disappear.

Soon as they exited they went on their way to her own home, it was quiet however mostly because it was the afternoon and the rain was just easing up for the night. She knew exactly where to go, after all it was her own home and as they neared the front yard she looked around for a moment before seeing the same bird she made as like a protection sitting perched upon the roof. "We all worry, and we all don't just get over fears in a day...it can take years." She mentioned to him while looking at the wispy wind bird. It was then that they began to head inside the home.

Just as soon as she entered a young boy just at the door seemed to jump at her and topple herself over. "Got you! Got you!" He laughed as she seemed to roll her eyes and sit up. "Hey, what did mom say about jumping at the door." She almost sounded like she was laughing along with him as he looked up to Yuuji. "Well you gotta be ready to be a shinobi! Oh...who's that?" He asked as she looked up at Yuuji for a response.

Yuuji

The Mask of Kohona

After locking up and leaving his house behind him for the night, Yuuji dragged his feet across the floor as he held onto the string of the bag that hung over his shoulder, he looked up to the sky to see that the rain was easing up, Hitomi's words kept ringing through his mind, should it matter if they knew the real him or not,  should he really care that much for his own well-being if he could still furfill his promise, maybe she was right but theres a difference between saying and doing something and right now Yuuji wasn't that capable of doing much, he can barely be bothered to walk as he dragged his feet across ground.
Yuuji took notice of the bird as she mentions it, did they really have to worry that much about something, how bad could it be he wondered, let alone what could this possibly get him into, was she just using Yuuji for her own gain to get him involved in something he shouldn't be in.

He watched Hitomi entered her home, he couldn't bring himself to step inside as he stood outside in the rain, watching Hitomi's little brother jump at her and take her down, the element of surprise seemed to have worked, he couldn't help but remember a similar thing he did with his parents when he was much younger, hiding round the corners of the hallway waiting to leap out and surprise them, clinging on their legs in a futile attempt to bring them down.
Maybe this was a bad idea after all, Yuuji couldn't help but think this isn't a place where he'd fit in, just seeing her brother and how happy he was, while Yuuji stood there with the expressionless look on his face, struggling to find words to say, he almost wanted to say goodbye and make it seem like he was just walking her back home again, even his left foot slid backwards as it looked like he wanted to turn around, but just remained in place, battling between the decisions in his mind.

She sat up letting him get off before dusting herself off and turning to Yuuji. "This is my friend, Yuuji...he'll be staying in the guest room for a day." She pointed out to the young boy as her brother looked up to him in question. "Is he a shinobi too?" He asked to her walking around him in his excited youth. "Well yeah of course, anyhow let's get in before the rain comes back." She motioned them inside with the boy quickly running in, seems he had the energy to spare.

As they entered the home seemed warm, or was that the food still cooking from her father being in the kitchen. Her mother however was sitting down away in a corner sewing a dress as per her usual daily work. "Mom, dad I'm home and we've got a guest for the guest room for a day!" She spoke out, her dad seemed to focused on the food to notice however her mom peered up from her work. It was then a stern face came over her. "Hitomi Murasaki Shiruku! What did you do to your outfit?" In this it was a bit loud however Hitomi seemed to sigh as if she didn't care much about it. "I fell in the mud...look mom I can go take a shower while you clean it, you're better at that anyhow."

Her mother frowned for a minute as if disappointed however stopped and looked at Yuuji. "A friend of yours? Well that's nice, so young man I guess you need to know some bits of the home. The bathroom is at the very back, the rooms are to the side of it and your guest room being beside the kid's room. I would rather her to get the mud off however you are the guest so please don't hesitate to ask for aid here or take a shower before herself." She spoke to him before returning to her dress making. Seems at though she wasn't angry just irritated at the muddy outfit she made for her daughter.

Hitomi seemed to roll her eyes smiling from the issue as she turned to her father. "Hey, dad...so what's for dinner?" He seemed quiet for a while before asking her. "Who's here..." he seemed to almost ignore her question. "Dad it's okay, it's the hyuuga family...remember? Now can you answer my first question please?" She almost seemed sympathetic to him as if talking to a kid who was scared. "Oh, uh...eggs...yeah eggs and baked potatoes." Seems as if he wasn't really in a mood to talk, barely focusing on the conversation. With that Hitomi left him alone and went on to sit back in a chair.

"Well if you need towels or soap or anything it's all in there...just try to relax, anything that seems like something bad really isn't, I promise." She said watching her brother running around the house. "Oh Oh sis! Guess what? Were learning about chakra natures! Y'know the paper thingy...what's it called?" She seemed to smile at him jumping up and down nodding to him. "Mine didn't show up, but it turns out Owai has fire! That's soooo cool! I want fire...or wind or, I dunno it's just cool!" Seems as he was excited about the topic, caring on and on about it.

Yuuji

The Mask of Kohona

It took a few moments before Yuuji had finally forced himself into the door, starting to look alittle awkward, the whole feel of the household was something much different compared to his own, he could tell that he felt and looked out of place in a home like this, let alone  the state he was in, it had looked like that their daughter had dragged someone straight off from the streets.
Yuuji seems alittel taken back as her mother raises her voice and inquires about the dress, yet Hitomi simply lied and stated that she fell, but he decided to speak up afterwards instead.
"That was my fault, my apologies about the dress."
He bowed his head slightly as an apology, the cold tone couldn't help but break through, he didn't mean to continue to wear the mask, he just couldn't help it around new people, as he raised his head he noticed her mother look towards him before she spoke up again and pointed out what parts where were in the household, he bowed his head once more this time in thanks as he replied to her mother.
"I apperciate it, I don't mind waiting, I'd rather not be a hassle."
He couldn't help but feel somewhat guitly as her mother seemed irritated about the dirty outfit, it seems she spent alot of time and work into them,  he then looked over towards her father as she questioned him on what was for dinner, Yuuji quickly turning on edge by her fathers tone of voice, almost as if he wasn't welcome but quickly eased up one the air had cleared on the subject.

He waited and watched as she sat down in a chair, listening to her words before replying.
"It's kind of hard to relax, when you're in a place that you don't fit in at all with, then again I guess I could say that where-ever else I'd be."
Yuuji turnt his gaze to the boy running around the house, acting exactly how a kid should be, but again Yuuji couldn't help but compare how he used to be at that age, struggling and forcing himself to train, having to watch the other kids play and do things without him, all to keep a promise, he couldn't help but wonder if it was truly worth it.
"Anyway, it's your home so go do what you need to do, I'll just wait here till you're done, since I'm not exactly clean myself."

She noticed him speak to her mother on the incident, she wanted to stop him however knew her mother didn't seem to care to much on who did it, just the fact the dress was a mess. With that his appreciation was noted as her mother nodded to him before carrying on with her works, pulling out threads and refining them into a well laced outfit. "Now don't forget that you have to come with me to market tomorrow to help sell these, you know how I feel about the other merchants." She noted off to Hitomi as a reminder.

With that Hitomi herself seemed to nod before sitting back up to stand. "Well then it's fine. Never said it would feel natural, but don't force yourself to have to do anything really. If anything lil bro might ask a bit to many questions but don't mind him. He's just curious and excited, he's only got a couple of years left of the academy before he gets to join in." She mentioned to Yuuji with a smile, it was pleasant in a way that was relaxing.

With that she shrugged to him. "Well it's fine I guess I can first." With that she begun to head off to the bathroom in the back and closed the door with a lock. Seemed it was a normal thing to do, with the echo of a shower turning on in the background. With that her brother immediately looked over to Yuuji with intense curiosity. "So, are you from that clan with the eye thing? Oh! Can you do the eye thing? pleaaaaase? it looks so cool!" He seemed to plead in a childish way.

Yuuji let out a sigh of relief as he watched the short brief conversation between Hitomi and her mother before turning his attention to her.
"It's alittle easier said that done, I don't really see what much I can do anyway, given the current situation and all."
He scratched at the back of his head for a moment as he thinks, there wasn't really much he could do other than stand by the front door of the house and wait for Hitomi to be finished, he didn't want to walk around or sit down just to dirty their home with the mud and what not.
Yuuji watched her as she walked off before noticing her young brother as he decided to speak up and ask Yuuji to activate his Byakugan, thats what he had assumed from the boys words, who was he to say no
Yuuji crouched down as he dropped his drawstring bag off his shoulder next to him, before beckoning Hitomi's little brother over towards him, once in front of him Yuuji pointed at both of his eyes for a brief moment.
"See that they're just clear? Watch carefully."
After speaking Yuuji placed both hands over his eyes, he didn't really know what to do with kids, he never had any siblings of his own so he was unsure how to act around them, regardless of what age, as he kept his hands over his eyes before speaking up once more.
"Peek a.."
At this moment Yuuji had activated his Byakugan as his pupils became slightly visible and the veins around his face near the sockets bulged, also coming visible as he removed his hands from his eyes,
"Byakugan!"

She seemed to take a bit longer within the shower as the boy was interested in Yuuji with full intent. He watched him for a while and nodded at his words, trying to follow the instructions as he watched him. For a moment it was quiet with a bit of confusion as he saw the eyes use the technique told before hand. The boy seemed awestruck for a while before jumping for a while in excitement. "Woah that's sooooo cool!" He mentions as his mother seemed to smile comfortably in the background, as if assured the boy wasn't irritating the guest.

"Wow, oh oh! I'll show you what I can do too! I learned it from mom heehee!" He laughed at the end as he held out his own hands in front of himself, it was silence for a moment before a small hue of purple started surrounding his hands. It was like chakra and it was his own, however purple was more than an usual color. Only to add to that was a small stone was held in the hands of the boy with a similar purple hue. Touching this chakra wouldn't be any different from normal other than the fact it was dense, almost material-like.

"See I learned about clans and stuff, I've got one too! Aint it super cool?" He mentioned with his mother giving him a stern look that made him stop and put up the stone. "Well anyhow mom doesn't like me showing it off, but come on isn't it cool? I'd be the coolest guy in school if I could use it there, but last time I did I accidentally broke a desk and got sent to the office. So i'm not allowed to use it at school...but still!" Seems anything worth noting on himself was just about being cool or interesting, however this chakra isn't normal. With the said Byakugan active he'd see this entirely in the boy and the mother however not the father nor Hitomi, only the regular chakra.

Yuuji looked alittle taken back as he watches the boy perform this strange technique, had had never seen anything like it, nor did he know anything about it, his head suddenly filled with questions to who this boy is and why is it so different compared to his own chakra.
"Well, I must say that is interestin' and it's certainty different, maybe it's best to keep that hidden, it might be your trump card to something one day, so keep it saved untill then."
It probably wasn't good to praise the boys ability, but it was certainly something worth praising in his eyes, hopefully Hitomi's younger brother would take this advice offered down to him.
He then looked at the boy again and then towards his mother, noticing the large difference between those two compared to Hitomi and her father, he had encountered such a thing a few times before but it lead to one thing which he'd dare not say, was this perhaps what Hitomi had cried about the day at the graveyard, he took a look over towards the kitchen inspecting her fathers chakra flow, before looking over towards the mother and doing the same, along with doing the same with her brother, then he looked up towards the bathroom, quickly losing his balance as he lands on his backside sitting on the floor and quickly deactivate his Byakugan. his eyes returning to normal and the veins vanish, Yuuji rubs at the back of his head and lets out a sigh before standing back up onto his feet, regaining him composure along with the mask that he wears.
