Hokage

Kojirama stood in one of the many rooms in the administration building. He and the other Jounins and Anbu had been summoned here by the council to speak o a very important matter, Kojirama knew it had to do with the village and was very significant for the future of the village. However, Kojirama did not know what the meeting would consist of.  As he leaned against one of the walls with his arms closed, he would patiently wait for the others to arrive. His mind would ponder on what the meeting could be about. It could be dealing with the Hokage…but I have not heard or seen anything that would put her life in any danger as to call a meeting for…Nor do I know of any Intel that could potentially hurt the village…Could it be do to the council itself? Possibly…It could also be dealing with the recent drought we’ve had…Hmm..so many options this meeting will be very...interesting…

Kojirama would watch through the window as Anbu guards would arrive and stand post outside the building, causing the curiosity of this called meeting to rise in him even more. This many Anbu to guard a single room… The Hokage definitely has to be involved in this somehow now…I hope nothing has come of her, the changing of a Kage is never all good. As he continued to look out the window, he could see the sun blaring down on all the buildings in view. Yea..this heat lately has not been good...it could very well be apart of why this meeting was called...but then again...why were all the Anbu needed? Kojirama turned his attention to the door as it opened and two Anbu walked in, covered in their armor and masks. “Boy…it’s so dry out …I hope this meeting is called to deal with this...I don’t know if I can take this much dryness much longer...I heard the river is starting to dry up as well…” The Anbu’s then noticed Kojirama in the room and they all nodded at each other, acknowledging their presence before positioning themselves near the only other window.

Kojirama would then watch as two more Anbu entered the room and the council members started to arrive, Kojirama knew he had arrived early however did not know that he would have arrived this early...he was still the only Jounin to arrive. Cracking a small smile he thought to himself once more. I could have spent more time meditating had I known I would be this early to the supposed important meeting… Kojirama would continue to stand leaning against near one of the windows waiting on more people to arrive.

Kamui Senju

Kamui Senju

It was another great morning here in Konohagakure. Kamui Senju got up from his bed, and he'd freshen up and get dressed. Today he'd dress in a black robe, black hakama, white obi, and white haori with the Senju Clan crest on the back of it. He brushed his hair out and he tied it up in his favorite red ribbon, keeping it tidy and out of the way for the most part. Once he was dressed and had his sandals on, he went downstairs and he'd share breakfast with his fellow clansmen, Mikara and Kontou Senju. They were not his family in the sense that he was not married to Mikara and Kontou was not his son, but they were friends, and Kamui provided the widow and her son with a home.

While they ate breakfast, there was a tapping on the door panel of the backyard. Kamui looked that way, thinking this was rather strange. He got up, and he went and opened the door and a bird came in and perched itself on his right shoulder. It held out one leg, in which there was tied a tiny scroll. He took the scroll and patted the pigeon on the head before it flew off again, and Kamui opened the scroll, in which it would pop in a puff of smoke and grow larger.

He scrolled the contents of the scroll with his sea-colored eyes, and he realized this was important information. He was being summoned to the Administrative Complex today for a Council Meeting between the Jounin, Hokage, and other high ranking officials within Konoha and the Daimyo as well if he wished to attend. This being noted, Kamui's face become serious, though it always still had that peacefulness about it. He rolled the scroll back up and tucked it into his robe. He'd then walk back to the kitchen table, and he'd meet the concerned gazes of Mikara and Kontou, and Kamui would tell them,

"I'm being summoned to Council with the administration of our village. Don't worry. I'm sure whatever it is can be handled.", he said in his usual calm voice. He drank down the rest of his orange juice, wiped his mouth on the back of his hand, and he would go and collect all of his weapons, putting them into place on his person, then after that he strode off into the daylight.

In a few minutes, he had made his way from the Hot Springs to the place where the council was being held. He walked into the building, noticing many ANBU guards. This was customary with the Hokage most likely attending, and since they were present, she surely would be. What the subject of this council meeting was, the Senju didn't know. He could only ponder what the reason was. Perhaps it had to do with the dry weather they had been having recently? Dry weather, especially with a large amount of forest surrounding a village meant the danger of possible wild fires. Had a fire begun somewhere in the forest? Kamui pondered more, but if this was the case, he was sure they wouldn't need a meeting such as this. The correct personnel to handle the situation would have just been given instruction to take care of it, rather than calling on an informal meeting such as this.

Coming down the hall and into the room, Kamui looked about, seeing only one other Jounin present thus far. He smiled gently towards his older cousin and made his way over there, leaning similarly against the wall, with a comfortable distance between them, and he'd say, "Good morning, Koji-Sama. Do you happen to have an idea what this meeting will be about?", he asked. He looked from Koji to the window, noticing more ANBU guards. 'So we are surrounded by the ANBU. When will Lady Kagura arrive?', he wondered.

All throughout the village messenger birds filled the sky like they had a homing instinct they searched out everyone who had been directed to attend todays meeting.  Whether they were heads of their clan, member of ANBU, and even the medical corps.  A variety of A ranked individuals had been summoned by not the Lady Hokage but the council members.

That morning hard started like any other day Alder had woken up early.  His boy servant had laid out clothes and cleaned and his armor.  Knowing the importance of his work the boy would uses no chemicals that would potentially be smelled by the enemy.  After expecting the work he would get dressed in his gear opting out of wearing his mask until was time to leave.  As he sat down before having his first sip of tea the message arrived.  Immediately responding he knew that it was a summon from the council.  For this meeting he was not working but instead contributing in his capacity as a clan head.  As per protocol he would not be allowed to discuss this matter with anyone until he had arrived.  This included other ANBU member who were most likely working the security.

Arriving early as he could which wasn’t that early since they didn’t want anyone to have access to the building until absolutely necessary.  The council must have been conducting meeting before the general meeting because when Alder had arrived they were already gathered amongst themselves eating sweet cakes and drinking from fancy cups.  It looked a little pricey for Hokage residence perhaps Daiymo’s people had brought it with them.  It was the fact that the daimyo was hear that made things clear.  When Jounin gather with the council and daimyo it was clear that the time had come to pick a new Hokage.  But the reasons were not clear Alder knew nothing had happened to Kagura this much was clear.

Upon seeing Alder there were whispers, points, and nods of acknowledgement.  Nodding graciously he didn’t stay to make ideal chit chat.  He didn’t want to seem willing to anything they were selling or even worse as if he was campaigning.  Walking around them he headed to the room in which they would meet.  Opening door he saw a few familiar faces and the mask that hid familiar faces.  Each person who was working security Alder knew not only by their mask, but their code names, and some of their real names.  But they would not acknowledge him not here not like this. Nor would the Uzumaki seek their acknowledgement it would be a security risk to them and to Alder.  So instead he greeted the people he had not been as familiar with.  Then Senju’s were well represented have two of their prominent members both of whom had managed to unlock the mokuton ability of their clan’s most famous member as well the villages strongest shinobi. “Good morning members of the Senju house.  It appears that the notice brought out many quick to respond.  Knowing that council would sit together as well as the Daiymo’s people the Uzumaki took a seat next to Kamui.  They elder generation was slow and self-serving they would be slow to arrive so all they could do is wait patiently.

“Party doesn’t start until Lady Hokage arrives”, Musashi muttered to himself while he was seated and waiting in the council room.

Kicking off the day, Musashi had already finished his meal when he made his way towards the Administration Building. The residual traces of the taste of his rice meal was left in his mouth, while the mushy contents of okayu was half-way done being digested by the enzymes in his stomach. He already knew what it was about, having been informed early by the Daimyo and his council, as well as the elders about the sudden issue that had recently plagued the village authorities. He was going to be at the meeting, for the future of the village was about to change yet again. He wanted to see with his own eyes what new leaf would take root as the foundation of this new future. As the former Hokage and the only Sannin in the village, he received a profound request from the Daimyo to be at the meeting no matter what. Having had been close to the old man for several years, Musashi also had a sense of personal duty to be there himself during this meeting to make sure the procedure goes out well. He had seen the ANBU guards that were stationed at various points around the building, all of them protecting the Administration Building. Musashi felt safe. He knew that their ANBU was the best in the world, and even if an attack were to break out, with his twin Takashi blades that were stashed alongside his hips with a sash, he would be ready to spring into action on reflex and snuff out the offender.

He greeted the guards at the entrance to the building. Although he looked quite different than back when he was Hokage, he was still very well known and most people had already grown accustomed to the change in hair style as well as the donning of the black hakama and kosode as the characteristic trademarks of the ronin-like ninja swordsman Miyamoto Musashi - the man who holds the title Invincible Under The Sun. Musashi greeted them as he usually would, and the ANBU greeted back, but as ever since security measures were heightened ever since the attacks of long ago, Musashi was proud to have to wait and be monitered until he was all checked out. One of the guards formed a hand seal while the other one instructed Musashi to hold still. After about ten seconds, he was permitted to pass.

After being allowed to enter, he made his way to where the council room. He would never forget where he was, as he was elected Hokage in the very same room. Seeing a bunch of ANBU and Jounin posted outside, he knew that his memory did not fail him. He greeted them with hand gestures and entered.

There were quite the number of ninja who made up the council in the room, as well as many tables for the elites to sit. He had seen the Daimyo on the other end of the room from the door and had smiled at him. The first smile of the day. The Daimyo had waved and beckoned for the lad to come join him. He looked at all the sweets and tea that was being served, and decided that although he is free to indulge himself, he is not too concerned with food right now. He had taken a seat on a table near the one that the Daimyo was sitting at, and simply waited like the rest. He had taken in all of his surroundings, getting a general sense of where people are around the room, but there was still one person missing, and that was the guest of honor. Hopefully Kagura would march right through the door before the Daimyo could finish the last strawberry shortcake.

Hazama’s ebony locks swayed from left to right as the wind bowed it’s head towards the Kageken. The middle aged shinobi was in a disposition upon the Hokage’s Monument. He seemed to be having breakfast of some sort. His eyes were wide open, as he was nothing more than an observer over the village. A shadow among many, he didn’t like attention, but with his size, it was very hard to not glace at him because of his height. It wasn’t often that Hazama was seen in public, hell even his own dynasty rarely saw him in the light, and for those who did it was less than double digits. He had a role like every other shinobi, which was protecting his homeland. Unfortunately Hazama’s usual days of laziness would have to be put on hold. Ryuho Musashi had also been summoned by the Daimyo of the Land, something that made wasn’t informed about. Would they finally find out that Ryuho was a pervert? Had he been looking at teenage vixens again? Who knew, Hazama could see the crowd of Anbu gathering around various sectors of the Hokage’s office. The Anbu Captain arose to his legs, while extending both his left, and right arm as he stretched he leaked out a yawn. The Captain had been asked to provide security for the following event, and Hazama selected the very best.

The mask pressed gently against his visage hindering his true identity from many observers. The Hyuuga slowly made his way off of the giant headed platform. As he arrived he could see numerous people injecting their presence inside the Hokage’s lair. The floor echoed with each footstep he took he made his way towards the door before he was stopped by one of his subordinates patted him down.

“Sorry Kageken it’s procedure”
The female Anbu said.

“It’s alright Takcho”

Hazama walked into the room, and immediately he gazed at the new faces. He saw more new faces than familiars. That could have been simply because this man wasn’t very social. His right arm extended forward as he sought to shook every man, and women’s grasp. Greeting all of them, he hoped his size wouldn’t give them the wrong impression. He was simply a giant lazy bear, but right now he was hungry. Hazama made his way over to his close friend, Ryuho, and patted him hard on the back, before sitting in a seat next to him. The Hyuuga waited before he got ready to devour the provisions before him.

Council Meeting [Jounin,Anbu and Kagura only] Itohand

The elites of the village were getting settled in just fine. With the crowd that was gathered in this room, plenty of sun kept the esoteric domain warm and illuminated. The Daimyo had traveled a decent distance to the village, and with the new technology that the village had come up with, he hadn’t been wary from his travels for the past few years now. And today, the Daimyo had to be fully alert and conscious of what was happening, for it was his duty to deliver the decision that the royal council made and to finalize it with the military ninja council in Konohagakure. The Daimyo reached over his head to adjust his fancy royal headpiece that draped over his head - a single symbollic flame accompanied by two smaller blazes stood proudly on the fan that was on top of the cowl-like headwear. “Hm…. yum yum”, he relished while snacking on the last strawberry shortcake after he had helped himself to his third round of a blueberry muffin, the Daimyo scanned the room in search of the guest of honor. He saw flocks of Jounin and ANBU, including the particular “chosen one” that the council had favored. The former Hokage, Ryuho, or rather he was called Musashi from now on, was here too. A diligent man, no doubt that his friend would come by for this matter of great importance. But there was no sight of Kagura Hozuki.

The feudal lord “hmph”ed and thought that he would get straight to the point. Over the years, he declined as a public speaker and even in his advocacy of non-trivial issues, he often caught word of being called a rambling, bumbling fool. But even if he should drop dead in front of his loyal soldiers, even if he were to be assassinated in less than a minute, today is the day he will carry out his duty as he should be doing. The Daimyo whispered something to an attendant while scratching his beard and immediately the attendant held up his hand while the people around the Daimyo’s table that was situated in front of the room rang several bells. This was to signal the eager upper ranks who didn’t know what this was about to be silent, and preferably to shut the f*** up.
“The Daimyo of our glorious Land of Fire will now speak. Please remain silent and listen to what he has to say! The council is officially commencing now!” the attendant shouted.

Though the attendant had more or less shouted in the Daimyo’s ears, which made the old man cringe ever so slightly after the attendant was finished. At least he wasn’t getting too old, if he still felt the need to cover his ears whenever the ambitious youth that worked under him opened their mouths. Proud the lord was that his haggard hair had not turned gray and lost their black power. The Daimyo rose and spoke.

“Helloooo, Hellooo, welcome councilmembers. Hope we all enjoyed the food, which is the best in the whole wide world I’m sure. Ack hmph! The royal council have called all of you here today, because Lady Kagura, your current Hokage, is retiring”.

He allowed that to sink in.

“We know that this is too sudden, but we’ve talked with Lady Hokage, and it was clear to us that she can no longer continue and have to be relieved of her duties. That said, the village needs a new Hokage. After reviewing the profiles of numerous shinobi, all of which are in this room, I kept in mind the qualities that define the next Hokage for the Leaf. Power and skill are highly valued in order to serve as the mighty leader of this great ninja village that has survived and endured longer than any other. But even more impressive than that is action. Passion. That’s where the strength of the Hokage lies, beginning with our legendary founder Hashirama Senju who had a dream of children from ninja clans coming together as one family under one Will of Fire living and working in harmony. I looked for the wise commander who can encourage others inside the next candidate. Beyond nice qualities, they must have the passion to lead this village and ensure the safety of everyone in it. Everyone is family here. Beyond being a leader and a negotiator, they must have the potential to do great things for Konohagakure, and keep the village’s standing as forever and ever the most accomplished village. I looked to see the Will of Fire that burned bright inside the person who will serve as the foundation for the entire village. I want the next Hokage to be someone who will outshine our last two Hokages combined! And have their face that will be carved on the mountain to be immortalized as the greatest of our time. As a leader, the next Hokage will have to make sacrifices for the best of his fellow men who are dedicated to their people, carry on Hashirama Senju’s vision and legacy, and be loud - not only in voice, but also in their presence".

A few seconds pause ensued.

"I have selected the most suitable candidate and received backing from all of my advisors. The next Hokage that I have chosen is also known as Konohagakure’s White Noise! Kojirama Senju, please stand up!”

Applause from the royal members followed the Daimyo’s announcement of the name of the candidate that he had selected. “The next Hokage!” he declared.

After that all settled down, Daimyo would make his ending remarks. This was sudden, but perhaps Kojirama had a sense in him that he was capable of leading the entire village beforehand. “Kojirama Senju. We have chosen you to be the next Hokage. The cards are in your hand now. You can choose to accept or decline, but that is what we’ve come to. If you accept, we will also go around and have the ninja council give their vote as well. If the royal and ninja council votes match, then you will officially replace Lady Kagura as the new Hokage".

"What is your decision?"

Kojirama Senju

Kojirama’s eyes would begin to follow those that entered the room. More Anbu, then the Daimyo himself indicating to Kojirama that this meeting was indeed tremendously essential. As several Anbu scoured the room making sure that the room was secure and was indeed part of the building and had no surreptitious traps or setups. Kojirama would also be scanned and searched to ensure he was who he was and that he had no malicious devices on him.  As the Anbu continued to carefully comb the room, others would start to set up treats and food to ensure the arriving shinobis and important people could munch on things to hopefully buy their time until the meeting began. Kojirama would finally se someone he could properly recognize arrive when his younger cousin Kamui Senju arrived, first being checked at the door. Refusing to neither move nor gather the many treats and appetizers that adorned the room, he would lean against the wall and continue to wait patiently for the others to arrive.

Kamui, having been granted access to the room, now made his way to Kojirama and engaged in conversation with the elder Senju. Listening to Kamui’s question Kojirama would quietly and calmly respond. “I’m not quite sure. Many theories run through my mind but I haven’t settled on one that I think is the best possibility. Although, with the daimyo being here I can rule out a few possibilities but also garner more. I know it has something to specifically do with the village’s administration, whether it is a changing of a council member or something with Lady Hokage that remains to be seen. I do not think anything has become of Lady Kagura though so I’m not confident on the fact that it has anything to do with the kage spot…but…when the village council and the daimyo show up in the same room, it’s pretty hard pressed that in all probability it has something to do with the kage. However…I’ve been unaware or wrong in the past so...we’ll just have to wait and see.”

More Jounin and Anbu continued to arrive both inside and some outside to attend to security as well as the meeting. Kojirama would glance out the window he was near once more and could see Anbu checking the outsides of the building and room that were in, making sure that it was clearly safe. Turning his attention back to the entrance Kojirama would notice another Anbu walk through the door, this one heading straight for both Kamui and Kojirama, greeting them and taking notice about their arrival. Kojirama would be the first to respond after first acknowledging the Anbu with a head nod. “As such is customary of those who are chosen to held lead this village’s young generation. It’s pleasant to see that those within the top-notch security division are still willing to greet with words in such a seemingly imperative meeting.”

Kojirama watched as the Anbu took a seat beside Kamui who had learned a bit of distance away on the same wall that Kojirama leaned on. Kojirama would then notice another person arrive, this time it was the former Hokage. One of many glorious titles and names, however the birth right name of this great man was Ryuho Mikoto Nakata. The man’s prestigious work as Hokage had earned him a great many allies and heaps of respect, so much so that upon entry the Daimyo waved him over to sit next to him. Kojirama had also admired and respected the prestigious Invincible Under The Sun Swordsman. He had kept Konoha striving and advanced many of the villages systems and was also beloved by the entire community. That...was a hard thing to do as a kage, to progress many things and still uphold the love and support from nearly if not the entire village.

The next to come in had to dug quite a bit to get inside the room. Dressed in Anbu attire complete with the mask that settled gently on his face was the biggest man Kojirama had ever laid eyes upon. Being of elder age, Kojirama had heard that within the confines of their village and the few Anbu he knew that such a gigantic man existed, but Kojirama himself had never seen nor met the man. He was indeed a giant and wondered how he got through most doorways without having to bend so far over. Of course...with that much height and weight and untold amounts of strength the man may possess. Kojirama was assured that the man could crush a two-story building with perhaps just his pinky. Kojirama watched as he walked through the room silently and took a sit next to former Hokage after patting him on the back.

Loads of people had arrived so far yet there were no signs of Kagura-sama, maybe something had happened to her and this meeting was the sudden call to change things quickly as to assure they had enough leadership moving forward. As the Anbu finished searching the entirety of the room and building inside and out, assuring it’s absolute safety, the Daimyo would give the notion to start the meeting and a series of ringing bells alert Kojirama that something was indeed about to happen. As the bells finished one of the attendees that came with the daimyo stood up and shouted out to everyone that the meeting was about to start. The shouting we could have done without...it’s not like everyone was so conjoined in conversation that it reached a unnecessary loudness that had to be overly shouted to calm it down… Kojirama would then watch as the leader of their entire nation rose to speak, in the back of his mind Kojirama wondering what had indeed happened to Kagura for her not to have showed up.

As the Daimyo spoke it soon became apparent that a change of the Hokage position was indeed happening, Lady Kagura having retired from the position. The White Noise would continue to listen as the Daimyo gave a heartfelt and sincere speech, one that Kojirama enjoyed as he always take pleasure in hearing the wise words of someone, especially those that are suppose to be in the position that requires leadership and intelligent words such as the position of the Daimyo. As the speech continued with talks of Kojirama’s great ancestor as well as having to have the passion, the will of fire, and an astute mind to leader this great village. To not only lead with a giant voice, but also that of a grand presence was the foundation of a successful Hokage. Everything the daimyo said rung true in the heart of Kojirama and had him wondering if he too could make such a grand speech in the presence of so many great shinobis on this day in the presence of picking a new Hokage…That time...that moment was now as the Daimyo would finish his speech. The last of it acknowledging to everyone that that he and the council had chosen him, Konoha’s White Noise to be the next Hokage upon his acceptance. For a few seconds, Kojirama was in shock and his eyes showed it, however returning to his calm demeanor he would soon open his mouth and speak.

“I’m…honored and humbled that you, the leader of our great nation and the council… the behind the scenes eyes and ears of this tremendous village have chosen me to lead this village…Right now…I’m reminded of something…I’m reminded of the things that I didn’t appreciate enough as a young genin…Places like the cemetery, all of the ninjas and the civilians…all the people… that have made this village stand proud and tall and now continue to do so in the after life…I’m reminded of the academy, the basic yet fundamentally crucial skills that you need to not only improve your rank as a ninja…but also your skills as one as well. The knowledge you learn in there will forever hold a place in your skills as it has done to me and the many that stand in this room today…. I’m also reminded of those battlefield moments…you stand next to your comrades…you stand on that field…and you look over your shoulder to see that one comrade…that one comrade that didn’t make it…As you place your hands on the blood soiled ground next to them and close your eyes…  Strange things happen. You'll hear the past words of that companion, then you'll hear the others around you telling you that the job is not yet finished, You'll hear those ninjas clanking their weapons against enemy combatants testing their metal. You'll sense the tension as they anticipate each and every attack. You'll sense the fear. Then you'll feel the pride…the pride that swells up in you like a tumor in your throat…. Begging to be released so it can assure that the same thing that happened to the defeated…does not happen to anyone else…” Kojirama would take a moment to pause and gather himself as he started to get emotional.

“That pride...that will of fire is the very thing you spoke of Mr.Daimyo…I may not know every single person in here, but I do know… that in each of them is that same passion...that same fierce loyalty to this village that I have! Another thing I’m reminded of is the Hokage mountain...the faces of those great leaders that have put blood, sweat, tears and time into making sure that this village prospers, not with just the skills of a ninja but in the love also. I once had a student…one of my past genin…as they stood atop of the mountain he told me that shortly after he lost a loved one at such a young age…he bent down and he touched the rock and just stared at it… and he said he never felt so alone…To those that are here today….Know this…No matter where you are…whether you are on a mission in enemy territory and you are the only thing that’s green in a sea of red…or you have just lost your entire squad just on the outskirts of this village….You are not alone. For the will of fire...The thing that is burrowed deep into the very roots of this village also burns in your heart…burns in your blood…As Hokage I will make sure that you…and everyone out there” He would turn and look at every single person in the room. “Will not ever say nor think… of the word alone. My great ancestor Hashirama Senju, he along with countless others around him made this village…His brother, another one of my great ancestors, established many of the systems that we still see and uphold today…My younger cousin here Kamui Senju took control of three young minds for the first time in his life and one has already reached the chuunin rank The various Anbu here inside and out, have done their duty to make sure this meeting remained safe and secure for the entirety of us here…These people made a difference. Everybody I just talked about is making a difference…And you will too.. Don’t worry about that.”  Taking another Pause Kojirama would use it to gather his breath before speaking once more.

“As Hokage, I have to be credible…we all have too. When I tell someone I’m going to do something for them, I’d better do it. If you tell someone you're going to follow up on an action for them, you'd better follow up. If you tell them you're going to look into something for their family, you'd better look into it…. Folks, you may only get one chance. One chance. Be ready…. Like the Anbu here who searched and scoured this area... Attention to detail: Is it important? You decide… But when you leave here today, you'd better have it; you'd better be ready to make decisions as well…. I often here the phrase, it takes a village to rise a child. Ladies and gentlemen...We have a village…I have a village. The child that needs raising is this great land as a whole, the land of fire. It is our job not just to look over the inhabitants of this village...but also this great country. Protect and serve...love and cherish. To do that… You'd better be willing to make decisions, because you're going to need to, You're going to need to make them without all the information you'd like, and you're going to need to make them when people's lives are at stake... And you're not always going to have time to ask somebody else to help you. A lot of that falls on me…As Hokage I cannot fail in that aspect. I came here today not knowing what was going to happen, and yet here I stand...Still speaking, still listening…Still knowing that the words I say here today is but just the foundation of hopefully a brighter future…” Kojirama grew silent once more gathering more time before he would end his speech, turning to the Diamyo he would speak his last words.

“Mr. Diamyo, I graciously accept the role that was offered to me today and I promise you that with every wooden root, every cell, every muscle fiber in my body…  And with the approval of the peers around me, I will become the Kage that you so remarkably spoke of. And to those who have attended here today…” he would turn and look at them all “Thank you for the life you've chosen. Thanks for being good enough leaders and skillful ninjas to be here. Make sure when you leave here you maintain and strive toward more greatness. Take care of yourselves, and whatever happens I'll see you out there.” Kojirama would then slowly and humbly bow before the Diamyo, the council, and the peers around him. For now...he was done speaking…and he was at the mercy and judgment of those around him, and for him…he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Kamui Senju

Kamui Senju

Kamui had been brought out of his train of thought about Kagura-Dono when more ANBU and Jonin started to arrive in the room, checking the security of the place and such. One of these masked men walked towards the two Senju who leaned against the far wall, and he greeted them so, with a voice that was somehow familiar to Kamui. Kamui though, couldn't exactly place who it as, so he would politely bow to the man, and welcome his company.

Next to arrive into the crowded room of officials and officers was the previous Hokage, Lord Musashi Miyamoto. He had been encouraged to go take a seat next to the Daimyo of Hi no Kuni, and they’d begin to talk about the matters at hand and such.

From what was going on....Kamui wondered if this meeting had something to d with the Village or Country’s Leadership, directly affecting the well being, military, and economical aspects of the village and such altogether. However, before he could bring his musings up to Kojirama, his attention was averted to the towering behemoth of a man who came into the room ducking low just to fit in, garbed as an ANBU. Kamui’s eyes widened in sheer shock at the volume of this great man. He too had heard that there had been a giant among the ANBU. In fact...didn’t he hear that the Leader of the Hyuuga Clan had such a mass? Could one and two be the same man? He thought of this because really....there weren’t many men this big anywhere....it was like a once in a millenia occurrence, right? Well, that is unless the FDA of Hi no Kuni was putting too much hormones in the meat livestock. Anyway, he took his eyes away from the man, and back to his elder cousin as Koji would speak to him about his own musings as to what the important meeting was about.

What Koji had said to him further verified Kamui’s own suspicions, that this meeting had something to do with the village’s government, for Koji was thinking this had to do with Kagura-Dono, even though she was not present. Had something befallen her? Was she ill? Was she seen as no longer fit to be their Kage? Well, it would all be said shortly. Kamui merely nodded to his cousin, as he turned his head to the fancily dressed and regal ruler Feudal Lord, as bells chimed, and he shouted for everyone in the meeting room to hush so he could speak.

All attention on the Daimyo, Kamui would listen to the man as he spoke of what they all were gathered here for, the elite members of Konohagakure and the councilmen of the country’s royal house.  It became apparent in his second sentence what this was all about. It was indeed concerning the Hokage. She was retiring it seemed, for what, Kamui did not know, but the facts were put forth by Hi-Dono. The man then went on to make a speech about the village needing a strong, passionate, kind, and caring leader, such as their very first Hokage, Senju Hashirama, who was Kamui’s own great great Ancestor. The speech was very lovely and Kamui agreed with all the man had to say. The Daimyo of Hi no Kuni was very wise, and had Kamui’s whole loyalty in those words. He had love for the man he had only merely laid eyes upon a few moments ago. It seemed too, that he and his council had already chosen who they wanted to lead, and for a moment, silence would fall, and then....

Kamui looked just as shocked as Kojirama had, his eyes turning to tiny specks, his whole body becoming cold for a second, before it all settled into him, and the young Senju man accepted the decision that had been made. Kamui’s hand would clap onto Kojirama’s right shoulder, and Kamui flashed Koji a brilliant smile, saying to him,

“You can do it! I believe in you.”

Spoiler:

, this was said in his usual soft tone, though there was a lot of emotion in there, positive emotion, for the happiness he felt for his own cousin, and the man he had come to think of as his older Brother...his own kin, to rule and command the Hidden Leaf. It was an honour.

Kamui once more fell silent, his heart filled with joy and love for his older cousin, listening intently to the wise Senju’s speech. It seemed Kojirama had a lot to say, speaking of his thanks to the Daimyo and how passionate he felt for Konoha and not only Konoha, but for Hi no Kuni as a whole. His speech was like a great campaign to rally and garner the love and will of Konoha’s passion, the heart of their beliefs, in Hashirama’s own Will of Fire, that passion to do good and great things at the center and heart of every man and woman, and aspiring child. Kamui felt the love deep in his heart, in his soul, his gentle yet warrior-like spirit only growing ten times, no....one-hundred times more, fortified by his love at this moment, to a place that held no bounds, a glorious future surely was ahead of them all. He too, also felt honored to be mentioned by his cousin, for the deed of raising up such a quality student as Axel Rover. Kamui closed his eyes in peace, his light smile echoing with a most amiable countenance.

When finally the Daimyo asked all of the Shinobi in Konoha’s council to give their own vote on the decision, Kamui then would speak up for all of them to hear, in his soft, yet commanding and stern tone of voice,

“Senju Kojirama is most admirable and prestigious. My own father, Senju Eiji of Konoha’s Elite ANBU would surely agree here today if he was still with us, that Kojirama deserves today to be Fire Shadow of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. He is both wise and caring, gentle, motivated, and he holds great leadership qualities. Since I have met this man, my own spirit has been lifted back to where it was supposed to be, and I strive to move forward and accomplish great things in part to this man’s support. As a tree supports the leaves of the foundation of our home, so too will Kojirama support us, a network of great warriors, diverse and many as we are, to be as one unit, to stand and fight under the banner of Konoha and use the Will of Fire to empower their souls and overcome any adversaries. I would like to say, I give my own support to Kojirama-Sama...no....Kojirama-Dono.”, and with this, Kamui would get onto his knees and kneel before the man in the customary ancient traditoon of shonibi to their warlord.

"To Kojirama Senju, who shall reign our prosperous village. His words inspires us and we equally give him our sincere admiration of his ability and pride. As a former Hokage, I extend full support for Kojirama to raise our village from dark times and make us dance under the Sun. To our new leader".

After Kamui voiced his support of his cousin's promotion to Hokage, Musashi decided that he would give a brief statement as well. He was not a man of many words as about a year ago. The worst had struck Konoha early in the year, including no less than two terrorist attacks, and the source of the first assault was known only to him, the old ex-Hokage, and the recently declared ex-Hokage. A girl he treasured was kidnapped, and later on, one of his Uchiha died in battle against a heinous assailant who he shall not forgive. That unbearable stress and despair struck him in the very core, and made him question his ability to make decisions for the best of the village as Hokage. He was glad that his will had been renewed and faith restored. He did not really need to say anything as he as the former Hokage and the elders of the ninja council had aided in pointing out Kojirama Senju as a suitable candidate, but he will do so again to pass on the torch to Kojirama in Kagura's place. Holding up a cup, a paper container depleted of any food or beverage, Musashi made his remark.

After having had given Hazama a light greeting once he had taken a spot right next to him, Musashi had seen the Daimyo stand up and make his speech. From time to time, he had switched his focal point between the Daimyo and the candidate Kojirama Senju, keeping a close eye on him.  Musashi could tell Kojirama had the aptitude as a leader and a warrior, but he still liked to watch what his reaction would be. It is enlightening sometimes to see the face of one who learned that he would be the next leader of the greatest village. An abrupt transition in the elite ninja's rigid expression had opened up to everyone in the room, before it made its return to its typical face so that he would exert his leader-like influence upon everybody. All eyes had been on Kojirama , including Musashi's.

Many people in the room had felt the need to give the new successor a standing ovation for his acceptance speech. The emotion and sincerity that Kojirama placed in his first words channeled through everybody in the room, and there was no doubt that they were looking at a great ninja who would become a revered Hokage. The Senju legacy will be carried on in this man who made and shared many memories in the treasured Hidden Leaf Village. The people, sites, and battles have shaped him to be the man that he is today, and reminded him along with everyone in this room the reason why he continues to fight to this day. As fellow shinobi men, understanding that this one village was one big clan in itself, they fight as one to protect one another. That is the Will of Fire that Kojirama Senju understands so well. He had learned of the way himself. Kojirama then had turned to everybody in the room, and for a split second, they could have sworn that they see the first leaders - Hashirama and Tobirama, hover above Kojirama, their fiery radiance illuminating all of the councilmembers in the room as their eyes were wide open to see that the true successor had come into play during this confusing time that struck the long era of peace in the village. Musashi shared in Kojirama's dream and his ability to reach out to the men and women that had served the village, some of them even before his time.

Musashi had taken Kojirama's lesson to heart. Indeed, everybody only gets one chance. Like his fighting style which placed emphases on a single stroke of the sword, one has to be ready to seize that one chance of opportunity. Wait and be attentive, but also have the utmost dedication and drive to drive one's diligence forward. Decisions were important in life. To make that one decision by one's self, independently, sticking true to one's morals and desires, would probably be the most final thing any individual has to make. But so long as that decision is for the good for his people and the people that he loves, then by no means can it be wrong. Musashi had taken that to heart sincerely from his new Hokage who he had decided he will entrust the village to.

[OOC:Gee thanks for the appreciation posts Guys…<.< I love you V and Kamui…]

As Kojirama had finished his speech, he watched and listened as those around him stood up and showed their appreciation either by clapping or speaking out for him. The words and the bow of his younger cousin meant a lot to the elder sage. To have the support of blood family was always important. What were just as nice were the words of Musashi, a previous Hokage, whom had given his blessing and short but meaningful words for Kojirama as Hokage. When the applause and words of those that supported Kojirama Senju as Hokage were done and completed, a feeling of grace and appreciation rose over the elder Senju sage. Koji would rotate his head around, looking at everyone there his facial expression showing his true humility to the situation at hand.

“Thank you everyone…” For a man who was a ninja and had so many words to say...he was speechless at this moment. For his peers and even a past Hokage to have acknowledged and approved of the Daimyo’s decision to have him appointed to the highest of ranks in a village, it was truly awe-inspiring and humbled the White Noise. Kojirama would remain bowed and on one knee in front of the Daimyo, waiting to officially accept his new role from the grand leader of their great country.

The room was full and a lot of chatter went about but Alder knew what was going on and in moment is his credible theory would be verified for the masses.  Then chatter would cease as the announcement went out.  If they were stop and think of after the sudden surprise of a new kage wore off it should be obvious given the people in attendance.  Hell Hazama-senpai and Musashi-sama in the same room with daiymo was a dead giveaway less disaster struck.

As the announcement Alder was filled with a flutter of emotions.  He wasn’t visibly struck, internally an array of question swirled inside.  Most of it stemming from the fact that Kagura was not present for this event.  What had befallen Kagura that would keep her from this meeting and choosing her on candidate succeed her?

As the announcement went and Kojirama, Kojirama- sama Alder looked at the man who would now lead the village if the Jonin council approved.  Alder didn’t for see a problem he was a man that garnered respect and he would do a fine job.  Wants his corination was official he would be combing through the files over the current ANBU and he would have the option of dramatic reform.  The ANBU were under direct orders from the kage, it was only right that each and every member be handpicked by the current reigning hokage.  So like every member present working security job was on the line so was Alder’s it wasn’t like he wouldn’t be a ninja any more just different mission sets and daily duties.  It would be unlikely that he would be forced into a position that he didn’t care for.

Alder would not sigh with relief all though he sure felt it.  He was happy that the task had not fallen upon his shoulders.  Although had it he would have accepted the burden until a new candidate could be raised up.  But this wasn’t the time to dwell on what could have happened.  Today was a day to celebrate the rise of a new fire shadow.  Applauding with the others he didn’t make a bunch of noise or any whooping sounds.  Instead without words yet full of respect he welcomed the new kage.

When it was all said and done Alder Uzumaki would exit attend a series of meetings that day in regard to the transition.  In order to gauge the will of the ANBU and Jonin council and within 24 hours all would be said and done most likely he would also find out if he got to retain his position.

The Daimyo’s eyes brightened up at the end of Kojirama’s speech. Like many others, he too saw greatness embodied within that man, and that radiated from him. They made the right choice in choosing the right man. He surveyed the room, and the approvals and looks on everyone’s faces strengthened his conviction. The majority of the ninja council gave their votes to Kojirama, including well known elites in the village. With that, it was clear that this meeting accomplished what it was supposed to quickly. With a few papers and words here and there, the transition in succession will be completed by the time today was over.

“It has been decided! Kojirama Senju. Starting tomorrow, you are Hokage!”

[End Thread - Finally gots new Hoekage].
