Given the character is still being exploited, I'll play along.
Alone in the secluded hidden room he was. Junpei wasn't conscious of much and had no idea what was going on. Well actually, to a degree he did. Only he couldn't retain the information long enough to actually make sense of much. All the events that had happened were just flowing in and out his memory bank as they happened. The only thing that was constant was the pain that was in his head, more than likely pain from his damaged brain. Moaning like a deadbeat drunk, that was the most he could manage. Even if he wasn't restricted in such a manner, he probably wouldn't be able to pull off much. He wasn't even aware he was a ninja at this point. The fact he was blindfolded added to this difficulty of grasping consciousness.
What he could register was the tightness and the feeling of being sluggish. This being the cloth around his eyes and the contraption they used to hold his movement, wasn't the only fuse of this. Slowly, but surely, his health dwindled regardless of this though the life support these ninjas had him on was enough to keep him at minimum vitality. Another moan was issued from him, but another sound was heard and this sound was the flickering of lights. Of course this relation wasn't made in the degenerated brain of Junpei, given it had been weeks that he was in this state. His brain probably couldn't even make his organs function properly and actually it couldn't. This was proven when the flicker of the lights was more than just a flicker.
The power for just a moment went out and with that the life support went out. Sure the power came back on, but that tiny moment enough was enough to prove Junpei's body was atrophied and couldn't survive without such a machine eternally sustaining his life-force. His organs had instantly failed, heart stopped, and even with the machine turning back on intense operation would be necessary if the leaf village wanted a chance at returning life back to Junpei. The result being the patient is dead.
