A good day to die hard[mission]

As dray set on his mission to the land of water. He had little worries because he was pretty equipped and had not even fought in days so, any attempt to fight would really send out all of his adrenaline.. As dray got to the border that led straight to the land of water, dray met an old man with a boat at the river edge and paid him money to take him across the river to the land of the river.

Besides, dray was pretty comfortable because he was not likely to be attacked since he was in a boat on water except if the attacking ninja had a water technique that made him walk on water for long or probably a ninja with the hozuki clan bloodline but most of all, dray was still conscious of his surrounding....

Zuka was standing on the river, consulting the messenger eagle that had arrived while she was making her rounds. Why the fact that she had never been assigned Kage duty astounded her, but realized that she shouldn't be that surprised. She was only newly made captain, and while she normally put ANBU in their positions, the Kage picked their own bodyguards. Regardless, she no longer cared at this point. Tucking the message away, she released the eagle and it flew back down the river towards the city.

The landscape wasn't that favorable, even to ninja. It was a huge expanse of water, the river, swathed on either side by giant trees that grew out the water. Ninja usually travelled by tree or commissioned someone to take them down the water. While most ninja could walk on water, the unpredictable nature of this particular river combined with its size made it unsuitable for traveling, as most ninja wanted to be aware more than focus on maintaining a properly fluctuating chakra control.

Zuka set off further down the river, heading away from the city. She was almost done with her patrols; She could head back when she reached land. She decided to travel by tree, leaping off the water on a small, rolling wave and landing on the tree branches. The branches themselves were nice and supple, good for stability. She was arriving close to land when she saw a small boat with a pilot and a man sitting in it. The man's forehead protector didn't identify him as Kiri, but rather Kumo. Deciding to investigate, Zuka leapt out of the tree and flipped, landing feet first in the boat.

"Identify yourself," she commanded, with a tone of authority.

Jutsu Used:

This mode of transportation was far too slow to dray and as he did not want to arouse any suspicions, he just sat calmly in the boat. The sun was shining brightly though, it did not reflect properly as they now got closer to the land of the water, dray now knew why it was called the hidden mist village. Little faint mists were now visible as dray could now see trees growing out of the water.. Makes it a bit easier for shinobis to travel across...

Still sitting calmly in the long hollow brown boat probably made of ebony, dray watched as the average aged man paddle the boat with all he had though the boat was not going any faster...suddenly, dray saw someone approaching.. The person's gender was the least concern to dray at the moment though he fully recognized that the person in question was probably a shinobi from the land of water... Was she here cause she had seen dray or she was probably just crossing the water...
She leapt from a tree shooting out of the water and planted her feet firmly into the boat as she asked dray who he was....
Who was he? He had never given a direct answer to anyone tho he rarely answered any question because he dosnt talk much but for the sake of his mission, he would prefer not to cause any ruckus tho that did not mean disregarding his personality.
Still unimpressed by the shinobi's appearance, dray sighed as he spoke unamused...If your eyes are actually working perfectly, my forehead protector would identify me as a shinobi of the cloud..more preferably, I am the blue flame of kumogakure...and I am merely travelling to kiri to see how bad or in good shape the village is..

Dray had a good reason to say that he wanted to check the well being of the village since he himself was born in the hidden mist but he left there at a tender age.. Still with his gaze fixed forward tho he was conscious of the shinobi, dray was aware that the shinobi was not one to accept such an answer from dray as dray put his left hand to the bandage on his eye not drawing much attention to it as he said again...and who might you be to question me..

Zuka, or rather Wolf in this instance narrowed her eyes at him behind her mask. She knew that he was a Kumo ninja, she meant who was he specifically. Or as specific as he could get, she could understand the possible reluctance of him not wanting to tell her his name; Names had power, even more so in a ninja world. She had momentarily forgotten that there was someone else on this boat, who was more than likely pissing their pants right about now. He called himself the Blue Flame of Kumo. It wasn't a name she heard before, so maybe he was famous for something local in Kumo or the like. It still wasn't enough to warrant him going free in, near or around her village. The boat had slowed, but not come to a complete halt. The waters and wind around them had stilled, almost as if they waited with bated breath for a confrontation of some sorts. Wolf hoped it didn't come to that, she was almost about to be able to head home to the peace and much, much needed quiet of her place of residence. Hopefully, this "Blue Flame" cooperated, and both parties exited this unscathed. However, if she needed to fight, she would.

"You may call me Wolf. I am the ANBU captain for Kirigakure no Sato. Unless you have some sort of physical permission or a correspondence between the Raikage and the Mizukage, you will either have to leave or be escorted. Sorry, but unless a higher-up tells you personally, that being the Mizukage, you really have no business to know our state of affairs. Or are you defecting?"

Dray sat consciously and well prepared in the boat for any circumstances... He knew the person who was probably an anbu with the face mask wouldn't probably allow him through.. He got out of the boat as he stepped unto the water with chakra on his feet.. He jumped back about twenty metres from the person motioning he/her to try and stop him...

Wolf grinned eerily behind her mask. Her original intention had not been a fight, but since it had come to one she would indulge. She was going to have fun fighting this "Blue Flame." Who knows, maybe she might even extinguish his fire. Quickly, she formed the hand seals for Lighting Release: Shadow Clone. She nodded at the clone, it mission was to distract the Kumo ninja. She then followed up with the hand seals for Lightning Illusion: Flash of Lightning Pillar. Provided he got caught in the genjutsu, she would follow up with Tsubaki no Mai || 椿の舞 || Dance of the Camellia. However, he still needed to see the flash of light.

As dray stepped unto the water using the water surface walking technique, he had moved back about twelve metres from the kiri shinobi. He sure was not aware of her skills but he was confident he could take on the intruder as he really was never bothered by his limits.. He was prepared for almost any attack as he was at an advantage. He had a full body of water right beneath him ready to respond to his every command and he was well ready to utilize it to its fullest tho he did not want to attract any more troubles as his mission required enough stealth...

Taking an active posture with his legs closed together, he untied the bandage on his left eye leaving the shinobi to different thoughts as to why the eye was bandaged as why it was now losened.. Waiting for the shinobi's attack as he had earlier motioned her to, he saw her create a clone that had little sparks of lightning radiating around it.. As he suspected that an attack would surely follow after a clone was created as that was mostly every shinobi's tactics, using his skill in ninjutsu, he was pretty skilled as could create hand seals in fractions of a second...

Performing the ram, horse and bird handseal rather quickly, a vortex of water surrounded dray as the vortex would now act as a barrier defending most attacks and as an offence knocking off any opponents that came forward.. Still in the vortex of water, dray created a water clone that sank into the water and swam under the water not arousing any suspicions. The clone would then rise up about five metres behind the kiri shinobi as it would then shoot out eight transparent air bullets at the back of the kiri shinobi that would send the shinobi flying metres back and tear clothing leaving the surface frayed if it hit directly but mere dodging would also leave lacerations on the shinobi..

Zuka, nodded once again at her clone, who had dodged back when the shinobi created the water vortex. The clone pulled out a kunai and began preparing the hand signs for Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder. The clone paused once more, waiting for the go ahead. Zuka was almost about to nod her head, until she heard the disturbance of the water behind her; the Kumo nin must have created a clone. Then she hear the wind whistling and could even see the minor air disturbance of the impeding wind bullets. Quickly she focused her chakra and cast the standard ANBU barrier technique. However, one got past the barrier, blowing past her shoulder and subsequently destroying the fabric on her shoulder, also leaving 4 claw-like cuts in her skin. She soundless winced from the pain; It was time to up her game. She pulled her sword out, sparks flying as it revealed its true form, while also deactivating her barrier. She then used Sawarabi no Mai - Dance of the Seedling Fern. As her clone assimilated into the bones rising out of the ground and tree roots at the bottom of the river, it lets its hands and face stay out. Zuka retreated to the trees as her clone cast Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder.

As dray released the water vortex, he telepathically knew that one of his clones attack had hit and the distraction was perfect.. As he could now see properly, he saw what looked like bones growing from beneath the water. Not waiting to be caught in this unknown technique, dray body flickered fifty metres away from his current location as he saw a burst of lightning directed exactly at where he was before. Had he been there, what could he had possibly done. Body flickering out of the position was fine but as he was almost out of range unscathed, one of those bonny things in the water tore the skin on his left foot as blood leaked out of the opening..

One of those moments when a bandage would come in handy. He loosened the bandage from his right arm and tied it unto the opening thereby minmizing the injury..
The kiri shinobi was now playing it dangerous..and dangerous was exactly whay dray was born for.. Dispersing the clone, dray was ready to utilize his abilities to the fullest.. Seeing that the ground was probably not suitable yet, dray had to find another means of getting to the kiri shinobi and he had just what he needed... Dray condensed water into the atmosphere and left it. His water clone had reverted back to water after being hit by one of those bonny things. Now, dray was about fifty five metres away from the kiri shinobi. Such grave distance.. As he had done earlier, he motioned her to attack as he moved his gaze into the water....

Zuka grinned, hidden inside one of the larger bones, the ones that jutted about 5 meters out of the water. She was probably using to much chakra at once, but he was wily and quick, like lightning. Zuka decided that if she couldn't kill him, she would at least push him back within Kumo boundaries. It would take sometime to rework the bones in her body to create a flat enough surface to summon a Rashomon gate. She also realized that she was burning through her chakra fairly quickly. She decided to try for a genjutsu one more time and then set the trees on fire. This would make sure that going forward would drastically decrease his chances of survival, as would attempting to escape/press forward via the trees wouldn't be a viable escape. She could then focus on reworking some of the bones into a surface that could sustain the Rashomon without sinking partway. Merging completely with the bone, she traveled within the calcium network to the bone closest to him without being seen. He couldn't detect her moving through the calcium network unless he saw her disappear and reappear somewhere else. Quickly, she moved out the bone partway, arms and head visible and cast Lightning Illusion: Flash of Lightning Pillar. Turning quickly again, she cast Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction, spreading the flame in a wave from tree line to tree line as she slowly rotated her head, making sure to set the trees on fire. She then withdrew into the bone; best not to use any jutsu for now.

Jutsu Used:

As dray had earlier fixed his gaze into the water, using it as a mirror to view the water that he had condensed in the clouds, that action had made it lucky for him not to see a great flash of light that was emanated from his opponents body. He was loving this battle but also hating it because he had no intentions of killing yet all his jutsus were almost kill enabled except for a few.
As he was lucky enough not to be caught in this bright light because his gaze was earlier fixed unto the water surface, that was not all as he now looked up to see the kiri shinobi erupt from one of the bones shooting out of the water... What manner of human was this??
Following up with her appearance, she did something that was probably meant to block out dray, or harm him if he tried to come nearer as she spat out an enormous flame of fire that set the trees around on fire blocking dray from getting to her as she seemed to sink into the bone she had earlier came out from..

Being a pretty analytic person himself, dray planned on using her attack against her as he flung his right hand forward releasing a great burst of wind that didn't quench the fire. Rather, it's oxygen element added to the fire as it combusted backward causing a greater explosion that would inflict great damage to the kiri shinobi if she was within range of the combustion.

Safely ensconced within the bone network, she watched at the Kumo ninja used a wind jutsu increasing the power and range of the flames. The trees around them were rapidly catching fire and spreading in all directions and broken, flaming branches now started falling into the river. Her goal of preventing the Kumo nin from moving foward was moving along nicely and she had already predicted the flames spreading in all directions once the trees caught on fire. She suddenly had another idea. If close, she would try not to cause major damage, she only wanted him away from Kiri, but turning back didn't seem to be a phrase in his lexicon. Moving down the bone structure almost 4 meters down under water, she fully released herself from the bone, her skin taking on its natural appearance instead of a chalky, whitish gray. The surface of the water was now obscured by flotsam and burning debris from above, giving it a murky look. She quickly made the hand sign for Lightning Release: Shadow Clone, creating 1 of them. Undetected, it swam to the Kumo ninja. It was going to hold him in place to make sure her technique went off without a hitch. He was standing about 5 meters away from the bone structure, placing him in perfect range. She merged with the bones again and popped her right wrist so that it was at a upwards 90 degree angle. A bone blade began sliding out, kneaded by the chakra and calcium in her own body. When he was restrained, she would strike. If even destroyed her clones, he ran the risk of being electrocuted or possibly paralyzed since the clone was made of lightning and they were on a river. She traveled up the bones once more and positioned herself, ready to strike.

Jutsu Used:

The reaction of the wind and the fire seemed to spread heavily amongst the trees obscuring his vision a bit. He could not see the kiri shinobi anywhere near and he was not ready to take any suprise attacks. He had earlier remembered that the kiri shinobi managed to somehow send out lightning from the water but luckily for him, he had already left the spot or he would have been an electrocuted bird..
Now, the whole water surface was randomly covered in dirt, burning trees and little tree branches and leaves yet the kiri shinobi was no where to be found. The dirt on the water surface was a perfect cover but it wasn't a cover enough for someone as perceptive as dray to see the little particles on the water surface that seemed to pave way for something to flow beneath the water towards dray. Now, this was his chance. He was probably sure that the kiri shinobi wouldn't dare attack him head on as he surely had given her a hard time in just a few minutes so, what was coming towards him probably had to be a diversion or a support for her to attack. He had to use this opportunity to bring her out of wherever she was hiding. He would let whatever was under water do what it was meant for while he would wait to see what happened next but if truly he was wrong with his thoughts, then he already had a backup plan for himself.

Now putting his plan into action. Dray was monitoring what was under water carefully though his eyes were not fixed on it so he would not spoil the plan even though it was hard to track what was moving as the floating substances really made it hard. Suddenly, dray pretended to lost it as two hands reached from under the water and grabbed his feet. Perfect!... he added charisma to his act by trying to struggle free from what was holding his leg though keep watch on his surroundings for where the attack would come from..

Protruding out of the bones in the water came the real kiri shinobi as dray had analysed with a bone snapping out of her wrist and headed for dray withing a perfectly close range that physical escape was merely impossible but dray never fought without analysing.
As the kiri shinobi got within few inches of him to strike, dray quickly did the body replacement technique as the log of wood dray was using to replace himself was laced with five bomb tags. A perfect suprise. As the shinobi's attack would land, dray would poof, replacing with a log of wood that would explode, and within that range, it would defintely destroy what was under the water which was a clone and inflict several burns on the kiri shinobi too as dray would then land ten metres from his previous location as slam his hands on the water as ice will rise in a
column around his opponents area, surging up to 15 meters into the sky. Freezing her in place as the barrier wouldn't be easily broken since it also acted as an absorbing material. If this attack would succeed as it was likely to, dray would then perform somehand seals as he would utilize the water he had previously condensed in the atmosphere to call forth an ice dragon from the clouds as he would then hop unto the ice dragon and fly fifteen metres into the sky at speed as fast as taijutsu masters and fly right to the opening of the ice column at the top as he would throw in three bomb tags that would explode upon contact with the shinobi tho it would not break the ice barrier since the barrier could absorb the explosion and the shinobi would still be trapped as hurt as dray would them move inches backward still fiffteen metres in the sky on the dragon.. This shinobi was doomed...

Zuka has missed and she was pissed. Add to the fact that her clone was blown up and she had almost suffered minor tan-like . She had once again succeeded in forcing him backwards about what seemed to be 8-12 meters. She felt creeping cold and saw ice rapidly encasing her in a column like formation. She grinned, this Kumo shinobi was tricky. She figured that touching this ice would not really work out well for her. She quickly performed the body replacement technique, leaving a block of wood with explosive tags on it and quickly slipping 4 meters underwater and 5 meters back before the column of ice closed. She quickly backstroked to the bone structure before once again merging with it, her skin taking on a chalky, grayish-white color once more. Traveling up the bone network, she was proven correct. The ice column had indeed absorbed the explosion and the Kumo nin seemed to travelling on an dragon made of ice headed towards the column. Zuka faded into the bone and waited for him to make his move.

As dray was flying towards the ice column with the hope that this kiri shinobi had been trapped within, he stopped as he got to some metres of the column.. He heard an explosion within the column though the ice column used it's absorbing nature to stop the explosion from coming through but the column still went down as the jutsu's duration was over. Even if she had managed to escape his trap, she would still have suffered burns from the replacement explosion earlier which was likely to reduce her movement.
Dray looked up to the skies and he could see doom lurking in them. His mission was that of spying on kiri but he could clearly see that continuing with this mission might only end in disaster... For this reason, dray charged up his dragon to it's fullest speed and as he was only some metres away from kumo's border due to the fact that the kiri shinobi had been successful in pushing him away from kiri's border, dray simply zoomed away to kumo leaving the shinobi to the thoughts of his cold name...
