Hand Seals/Charge up: None
Description: The user does a powerful spin, generating the momentum needed to slash at any opponents behind them. Duration: 2 posts
Hand Seals/Charge up: Tiger → Horse → Boar → Ram → Rat → Snake
Description: This is a technique where the user encases themselves in a countless number of sharp needles, but in truth, the spikes are the user's hair. Chakra grants the strands of hair the hardness and shape of needles, endowed with a capacity to injure and kill on par with that of metallic weapons. In addition, if activated in response to an opponent's attack, it can also be used as a counter. The hair is made hard enough that it can withstand blows from certain types of weapons such as arrows.

Name: Shadow Clone
Rank: B
Type: Ninjutsu
Used For: Supplementary
Element: N/A
Range: Clone Technique
Duration: Till dismissed/destroyed/or chakra runs out.
Hand Seals/Charge up: Clone seal
Description: Similar to the basic clone technique, this technique creates copies of the user. However, these clones are corporeal instead of illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force. The clones can also disperse on their own or be dispelled by the user of the technique. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the original with Sharingan, Byakugan, or Rinnegan. Shadow clones also seem to be able to think for themselves and feel the original's pain to some extent.

Tamashi entered his small, shack of a home with his newfound friend Hakuja still strapped to his head. The little guy had fallen asleep, and soft snoring sounds could be heard coming from the tired pet. Its rhythmic breathing felt like a calm massage on Tamashi's head, and he did not mind it so much. It was soothing to him. He looked around his small home, a small, unpleased sigh escaping as he felt no such pleasure from his residence. It had been provided to him by his village since he was an orphan, but it was up to him to keep the home up. This included furnishings, food, and any other pleasantries that Tamashi may want or need. The place was not much, but it and the few belongings that he had were all that he had to call his.

Tamashi took his new friend, and gently lifted him off his head. The young Genin gently placed Hakuja on his small bed. It was soft, and one of the nicest things he had. After making sure that Hakuja was comfortable and his sleep had not been disturbed, Tamashi slipped his right hand underneath his bed and grabbed a long wooden case. Pulling the case out, he placed it on the bed, gently so as not to disturb Hakuja. He opened the beautifully carved box which gave off an excellent golden sheen as it was made from Senju wood. Inside, laid a beautiful black sword made of great quality. The black scabbard laid beside the sword. Made from Senju wood, the scabbard was very durable. Placing the sword in the sheath, he strapped the sheath to his back, and made to exit the home.

The young Kirigakure shinobi dashed from shabby rooftop to shabby rooftop. The sun was trying to burst through the thick mist that was always present in the Village Hidden in the Mist. His sword was heavy, but to him it felt light. As he leaped, he kept his hands relaxed behind him, letting them ride with the wind. Even though he gave off a chilled persona, his guard was ever vigilant. His reflexes were ready for anything that may come his way.

Crossing the last rooftop, he leaped into the air, covering much distance over fields of barren land that had browned and crusted over. He landed in a small grove of lush green grass in a remote corner. It was here that Tamashi liked to come to do some special sword training. He was forever trying to improve his sword technique, and after his recent loss, he realized he was not where he thought he was. He had set up 5 training dummies, each worn and beaten from his many years of practicing on them. Next to one of the brown, roughly made dummies laid a bamboo practice sword. Laying his beautifully crafted sword which was placed in its sheath on the soft grass out of his way, Tamashi picked up the practice sword and took a few practice swings.

The first sword skill Tamashi was practicing was the Cloud-Style Reverse Beheading. The basis behind this technique was to create a powerful spin that will give the necessary momentum necessary to attack and potentially greatly injure an opponent behind him due to the empowered slash. Gathering his breath and calming himself, Tamashi entered into his sword stance. It was a one-handed stance that kept his left foot behind and out from his right foot and his body turned so that only part of it was given to the front target. Using his left foot, he spun off of it, his heel digging into the ground. He felt the wind whirring around him. He cocked his sword arm and let his slash spin with his own movement. As he neared 180 degrees, he finished his slash across the dummy. The power from it caused the dummy to wobble on its post, but it was sturdy and well-made to not fall over. Satisfied, Tamashi prepared for the next skill to learn.

The young Genin felt accomplished at learning the first of the two sword skills he planned to acquire that day. The wind rustled, causing his hair to billow out. Stilling his breath, Tamashi entered back into the sword stance that he had taken up before. His practice sword was gripped in his right hand, body turned slightly so the sword was pointed at the target and little of his body was given, and feet were spaced and knees bent. His eyes were closed during this process. Tamashi always practiced his stance-work slowly, sometimes repeatedly, so that it was instilled in him. The movements becoming natural and requiring little effort to commit.

Tamashi made a few practice swings with the sword from his stance. He wanted to ensure that he had the right motions so that when he attempted the skill for real, it would go off without a hitch. He continued this action, each swing becoming more and more natural. The mist thickened in the area, he knew this because he could feel the misty wetness increasing. Sweat began to perspire on his body, mainly his arms. Tamashi at intervals would switch hands so that he could work the skill with both hands. Feeling himself ready, the Genin opened his eyes. He focused on his target, and gripped the practice sword with his right hand. The boy swung his sword in a single, powerful cutting motion. The force, if used with a real blade, would have cleaved the practice dummy. However, a deep indention formed from the insides being pushed in from the slash.

The boy felt satisfied with the results of his sword training. After completing, he had learned two sword skills that he believed would be most helpful in his growing to become a powerful Shinobi. The day was beginning to come to an end, but before it did he had two more skills to learn.

The young Senju stood straight up, the muscles in his arms tightening from the sword training that he was putting himself through in order to become a better Shinobi. Training was a favorite past time of Tamashi's, so this was no problem for him. Each second he spent training, he could feel himself improving even if it was only a fractional increase. To him, every little bit helped. The mist felt cool on his skin. The coolness helped keep him refreshed from the hours of training that he was enduring. He could feel the beginnings of ache and fatigue trying to claw its way to control, but he fought it back. He was nowhere near done training.

Now that his sword training had been completed, he felt it was time to work on his ninjutsu skills. He had little in his repertoire of ninjutsu. The two skills he planned to learn he felt would be helpful and increase his chances of victory even more. He had little use for skills that would not grant him victory in battle. The first skill he decided to learn was the Needle Jizo jutsu.

The idea behind Needle Jizo was to send chakra into the hair, forcing it to grow and envelope the user. The strands of hair were so hard and sharp, that they could be compared to needles especially since they also had the shape of needles, hence the name Needle Jizo. This jutsu had the capability to kill an enemy. Not only could it kill, it could counter against attacks. Tamashi saw the capabilities of this jutsu to be an extreme help to his own self. One other reason is that since his hair was already spiky, he felt this jutsu fitted him well. Taking the bamboo practice sword, he moved to where his beautifully crafted sword laid in the grass. He stabbed the bamboo practice sword into the ground, the sword's hilt sticking straight up out of the ground, pointing toward the mist covered clouds.

He moved back to the center of the practice dummies which were placed in a pentagram shape. The progressing boy had done much research into the jutsu that he was about to perform. It was a B-ranked jutsu, so he knew it would not be easy to learn, but he was prepared for the work and end results that would come with it. As he always did before he began a jutsu, the young boy closed his eyes and stilled his breathing. This was a tactic he picked up years ago. He found that he could think a lot clearer and able to focus more on the principle of what he was learning when he began like this. It allowed him to visualize what he was doing and then recreate the action physically. This usually allowed him to succeed in performing the jutsu at most on the second attempt.

After a few moments of visualizing the jutsu he was about to perform, Tamashi finally opened his eyes, ready to begin the physical part of the jutsu. First were the initial hand signs. It was a few more hand signs that Tamashi was used to, but nothing the young Senju could not handle. Tiger → Horse → Boar → Ram → Rat → Snake were the signs that Tamashi made in preparation for the attempted jutsu. After making those hand signs, Tamashi felt the chakra being manipulated inside of him. It flowed and it felt as though it began to coat his hair in a thin, invisible substance. The boy could feel the strain as he tried to pour in more chakra because he felt that the jutsu was beginning to fail. He needed to make his hair grow, sharpen, and take on the appearance of being needle-like.

Sweat dripped from his young face, but this only encouraged him to try harder. The first time was always the most difficult with a jutsu. It did not help the situation that this was his first time attempting to learn something his high ranking and difficult. However, it would only make having the jutsu more worthwhile knowing that he put in the work and effort to obtain it. With renewed vigor, he poured more chakra into his know lengthening hair. As it began to lengthen, he felt the strands begin to sharpen into needle-like points. Soon, the hair reached the point where it was encasing the young Senju Genin in its protective needle grasp. Needle-like strands of hair poked out everywhere with the potential to protect, maim, or kill anyone caught in its grasp. Quicker than it took to create the jutsu, the hair returned to its natural shape and spikiness. Tamashi dropped to one knee, his breathing disturbed from the unusual strain that it took for him to make this jutsu happen. Despite this, he was thrilled to have learned a new jutsu. Now he just had one more to learn, then to practice what he had learned till it came natural to him.

Still on one knee, the boy's arms began to feel heavy. He did not expect to have so much taken out of him after so many hours of training and only learning three new techniques. He shifted his head upwards to see what time of day it was. After spending so many years here in the Village Hidden in the Mist, Tamashi had learned how to divulge the time of day despite the thick mist hiding the view of the sun. It was a difficult task to learn since not much sunlight gets through. But once learned, it became easy and an essential skill.

Seeing that the sun was almost down and night starting to begin, Tamashi slowed his breathing and stood up. He needed to go on ahead and finish this training so that he could get back home and see to his new pet and friend. Sweat continued to form on his body, mainly his arms, chest, and back. In an attempt to cool his body off and regain his breathing before trying the next jutsu, Tamashi progressed into some yoga positions. Stretching his body and letting his muscles relaxed made for an excellent way for the young boy to calm himself down.

A renewed vigor now made its way into the eyes of the determined child. He now stood straight and still, his eyes closing in preparation of the last jutsu he would be learning today. This last jutsu would be the hardest for Tamashi to learn. It was the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but unlike other Clone Jutsus, this one was different, more complex than the others. This Clone Jutsu dispersed the users chakra evenly among the other clones. These clones all have a mind of their own, are corporeal instead of illusions, and can use techniques. To use this technique, Tamashi would have to make sure his mind was thoroughly clear and he had great control over his chakra. Being honest with himself, Tamashi felt that he probably should have tried learning this jutsu first before the others. He felt this way because now he was feeling fatigued and his concentration was waining. Despite these setbacks, he was not going to back down from learning this useful, powerful jutsu.

A soft, cool wind picked up from the west. It sent chills throughout Tamashi's sweat covered body. It was a welcoming feeling as the young boy had become rather hot due to all the training that he has been enduring so far. He could hear rustling from the wind running through the forest near his location. His eyes closed and the calm began to flood through him once again. The boy loved this feeling. It felt as though there was nothing around him. As though he was not even apart of this world anymore. He felt disconnected, serene, at peace. He also felt a sense of control over what he did. As though he could feel everything around him and he had control over how his body reacted.

Now that he felt calm, his breathing slowed down to a more practical level, he felt that he could move to the next part of learning this new jutsu. He saw himself making the hand sign for the Shadow Clone Jutsu. A cloud of smoke would erupt and envelope a small area on the right of the young boy. As the white cloud of vapor began to dissipate, there would stand a full blown copy of Tamashi Senju. He released a small sigh as the visualization came to a close. His eyes slowly opened and he could feel the end of his long day of training coming.

Tamashi entered into an improvised stance. The stance basically consisted of him spreading his legs about shoulder width and giving him a slight bend at the knees. He raised his arms and made the clone seal, his face set to make this jutsu happen. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" the young youth exclaimed with determination. As he proclaimed the jutsu, he felt the workings of it starting to occur His chakra flowed and he pushed it to create a corporeal, working copy of himself to stand on his right side. The youth felt a strain as he focused harder on making this action occur.

It felt as though his chakra was being pulled out and manipulated into a physical form. A puff of white smoke appeared in a small area next to him which signified that a clone had been created. The effects of the jutsu, the chakra flowing and his body being strained, began to wear off. The youth stood, waiting for the smoke to dissipate so that he could see the results of his endeavors.

A frown began to cross the youth's determined face as the smoke finally dissipated to reveal a shoddy copy of himself that could barely stand. It looked crippled, pale, and weak. Smacking himself on the forehead and releasing an exaggerated sigh of exasperation, Tamashi calmed himself down to try the jutsu once more. He focused more on what he wanted to happen from the jutsu and producing the right balance of chakra to make it happen. He entered his improvised clone stance once more. Raising his hands, he performed the clone seal. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" yelled the youth with even more vigor than before. His chakra flowed about in his body, reacting to his wish of creating a clone. He prepared to give it his all, but let his mind remain calm. He did not try to force the process to occur, he decided that he would just let the action run its course and supply the means for it to do so. He felt his power divide and a cloud of smoke once again presents itself beside him. The effects of the jutsu dissipates just like the smoke begins to. There, stood a perfectly good corporeal copy of Tamashi.

The youth smiled at his grand accomplishment. He felt as though all his hard work was finally beginning to pay off. Tamashi made the seal once more to have the clone disappear. After doing so, he would make his way over to retrieve his sword and strap it to his back. The youth was tired and sweaty. A warm bath and his soft bed called to him as well as the new friend that he made. Finally ready to go back home, he took off in the direction of his home, leaving his practice area for the comfort and relaxation of home.
