Obviously fire is going to work, maybe up to A-ranked but it will work. And Lightning is certainly going to work, regardless if wood is an insulator, it isn't natural wood, it's ninjutsu wood.

It can withstand 3 attacks of a lower rank, 2 of the same rank, 1 of an A-ranked fire and it lessens the damage of any other A-ranked jutsu.

Description: Tamashi encases his opponent in a large amount of wood/roots which form around the person and tightening making escape practically impossible.  The wood can come from anywhere in which wood can be formed, can't form in hard rock, sand, or ice.  When Tamashi's wood touches a target, the wood spreads along said person's body.  The more wood that connects the faster the process.  It can be removed, but is difficult to do so.  Usually fire is the best way.  You can try to rip it off, but it would tear chunks of your skin off as the wood melds with the person's skin and bone.  It is best to get rid of the wood as soon as it touches you because it has yet to bond.  Or just don't let it touch you at all.  It can be used to suffocate opponents or to prepare for the Wood Burial.

I’m afraid they can’t have a mind of their own. Gaara’s sand had a reason for them moving on their own. Your wood doesn’t unless it sees a pretty lady. Since you made it very clear they absorb nutrients from the ground, please add that you cannot summon them in terrain like hard rocks or sand or ice where such nutrients would be unavailable.

The reasoning for all my corrections is that Gaara’s skills had a very special cause behind him. It was the tailed beast and the soul of his mother imbued in the sand. He had very specific circumstances that allowed for him to do the things he did. He had a mental connection to the sand that I’m afraid your character can’t really have. The sand was fucking alive. Now, fix this up and we’ll get on the road to approval!

If the grapple is successful, Poncho then shifts the pairs direction into a downward decent, aiming to slam the opponent head first into the surface below. This can be possibly fatal, and causes major neck injuries.
If followed by Genteiban(Limited Edition), the damage is greatly increased, from the increased elevation. The results of the attack if followed by Genteiban(Limited Edition), are self harming though and leave Tamashi exhausted.

Description: After performing Sutātāpakku(Starter Pack) or Genteiban(Limited Edition), Tamashi jumps straight up to meet his opponent and clasp onto them. Ankles around the opponents arms in attempt to bind them, and arms around the legs keeping them clasped together, the gripping is hard to escape for opponents without Taijutsu specialization, from grappling not being a commonly trained martial art, and being in the air while doing it. If the grapple is successful, Poncho then shifts the pairs direction into a downward decent, aiming to slam the opponent head first into the surface below. This can be possibly fatal, and causes major neck injuries.
If followed by Genteiban(Limited Edition), the damage is greatly increased, from the increased elevation. The results of the attack if followed by Genteiban(Limited Edition), are self harming though and leave Tamashi exhausted.

Description: Tamashi launches a series of punches and kicks to get his opponent into the air if they are not already in the air. He then grabs them and begins to spin rapidly by using his own speed as the momentum needed to get a extremely fast speed going. When the speed has reached its peak, Tamashi throws the opponent into the ground. Unlike its more advanced versions, not a lot of strain is placed on the body.

The series of punches and kicks can be done IC-wise. How Lee did it, it was just a simple launcher kick.
