Looks Description:
Hyuga Shinsui possesses the typical long black hair of the Hyuga clan. However, one may consider Shinsui unique in his own way, due to his hair being spiky. A small difference, but unique to Shinsui all the same, since he does stand out among his fellow clansmen. This long spiky black hair of his extends down towards his lower back. Majority of his hair rests on his back, but a few locks, that appear to be in the form of thick dreads rests on either side of his chest. Shinsui is of a fair skin tone, blessed with a handsome face. His eyes are of the typical Hyuga clansmen eye color, the white eye no doubt. But what makes Shinsui appears most menacing are the black outlines around his eyelids. Many would think the man was wearing woman’s make up or potentially some rather emotional Hyugua. Though if he could, Shinsui would change that perception ever so slightly. Shinsui’s appearance becomes more noticeable with his chosen head gear that bores the Hyuga clan’s symbol on it. The head gear in question being the Happuri, a black one to be precise. The Happuri head gear was first shown in the Manga to be worn by the second Hokage Tobirama and then Yamato. Shinsui wears the same head gear, although a black one as previously stated. The Shinobi in question also has a black metal bar piercing through each ear, completing his gear.
Shinsui’s attire stems from a period almost forgotten when villages were almost nonexistent and countries were mere warring states. Clans made their own way during this era, and it is one that Shinsui attire is based on. Shinsui is garbed in a full black body suit, with a dark red apron like piece of clothing with ragged bottoms stemming from his waist line. Shinsui also has black gloves covering his arms, and as such the entirety of his arms is covered in some form of attire. Shinsui also wears black high Shinobi sandals, those stretching up to his knees, more customized compared to usual Shinobi sandals. On both sides of his sandals is the Hyuga clan symbol. However to think his attire ended there would be false, since as stated before his attire is based on an era long passed. Dark red armor is worn over that full black body suit of Shinsui’s. The aforementioned armor is very similar to that of a Samurai’s armor, though closely resembling that of Hashirama’s or Madara’s. The armor that Shinsui wears over his clothing is rather lightweight, more of a fashion statement than to actually give him any extra defensive boost. The dark red armor was constructed from numerous metal plates, formed into multiple protective guards along his body. The chest, shoulders, back, thighs and forearms are covered. Each collar on his shoulder guards has the Hyuga clan symbol emblazoned on them.
Personality Description:
The persona of Shinsui has always been shrouded by despair and hatred, with hardly any laughter. Shinsui is a realist no doubt and a man most focused on the task or mission at hand. He knows not what it means to falter when it comes to accomplishing his goals. He is most determined and persistent, though his loyalty is sometimes questionable. One can never ascertain whether or not he is carrying out orders due to his loyalty or purely because its his duty. He is most intelligent and insightful, never one to believe in those that he deems unfit. Shinsui can be a rather skeptical person, which can be both a good and bad thing for him. The good results that being a skeptic may bring him, is his lack of belief and trust in most if not everyone. This has led him to become more reliant in his own abilities. He is often proven right when it comes to gauging the qualities of certain individuals. However, his skepticism often means not trusting his comrades to carry out their task.
This lack of trust and belief often leads to complications where the man makes attempts on taking on everything by himself. This often sees Shinsui become a solo act, a long ranger and a recluse. The Hyuga clansman often finds solace in death, and the peace that being around the dead often brings him. His whole demeanor is that fit for someone that belongs in an institution designed for those deemed to be dangerous. He is a curious creature at times, but once he loses interest in someone or something, he will simply leave it as is and be done with it. Shinsui does not yet know mercy or compassion. He has no comrades that he truly cares for, and should a comrade die in his presence then he could think of it as their fault. Many would go as far as to say he is most despicable, not against the idea of sacrificing his own comrades to be victorious or successful. Shinsui is someone cited as having dual personalities, often having conversations with himself.
Many would say it’s his inner demons talking to him, constantly taunting him. He is not the most stable of Shinobi, sometimes choosing to be silent instead of talkative in the presence of others. His gaze is enough to unnerve others; his voice is most chilling and lacking in empathy. The enigma that is Shinsui has a personal interest in collecting weaponry of all sorts. And ever so often he would go hunting for them, constantly seeking to obtain the greatest weapons that the Shinobi world has to offer. In reality, just about anything can be seen as a weapon, based on its usage no doubt. Hidden behind that facade of his though, is perhaps an individual longing for companionship. The problem is, Shinsui himself wouldn't know what it was should it appear on his doorsteps in a figurative sense. He can sometimes be a volatile person and at other times calm and collected. Nevertheless he is a leader in his own right, since although preferring to be a long ranger. Shinsui has in fact worked with teammates whenever it was necessary. A truly hardworking and focused individual too.
There is also his speech pattern which comes to question at times. His sentence structure and formation of words when speaking brings about fascination. Another thing which makes Shinsui most unique, is his ability to mimic the voices of other people. A trick used to taunt and annoy, at times unnerve others, while giving voice to the multitude of personalities that he possesses. Shinsui is far from a one trick pony, easily one of the best ventriloquist around. The man had incorporated this into his personality, talents and demeanor when dealing with the dead especially. The reasoning behind this is Shinsui would prefer to give voice to the dead, and would rather see the living fall silent. The Hyuga clansman also enjoys the sweet sounds of music, often finding peace in it. He likes playing the Sanshin(Guitar), stringing together a mixture of soothing melodies. But in ever instance the melodies string together using the Sanshin would set a dark and sad tone. Those filled with sorrows, pain and a wanting.

History:
Hyuga Shinsui was born during a despair and strife, only reaching the tender age of eight years old by the time a decade of hatred had ended. Shinsui’s birth was almost like any other birth, except his mother died giving birth to him. This caused Shinsui’s own father to resent him as a result of this. He was a father by blood and DNA, but more of a male figure in Shinsui’s life while growing up. The boy was born into the Hyuga’s main branch, in Konoha, but for reasons not yet revealed. A small portion of the Hyuuga performed a Exodus, which took them away from Konoha. This particular band of Hyuga clansmen ended up in Kumogakure, where they would now serve as citizens and Shinobi of the village. Young Shinsui was baptized in battle from a tender age, using what little tools he had at his disposal to remain alive. The young man had long since come to know death, and as such it was seen as an everyday occurrence to him. In Shinsui’s life, death was expected, it was guaranteed. The only thing he was unable to predict was the time and hour that he himself would die. Growing up, Shinsui was enrolled in the academy in Konoha, where he would go through harsh times as a Shinobi. At this time, the Shinobi world was at the brink of war and so the younger generation needed to be prepared for it.
However, certain circumstances prevented Shinsui actually becoming a Genin of Konoha, purely because of his departure from the hidden life. Shinsui would instead end up in Kumogakure where he would live the remainder of his life. The Hyuga boy did become a Genin in Kumogakure, learning the hidden arts of his Clan’s jutsus over a steady period of time. There was fear of overloading the young man too much, and as such his father thought it to be wise to gradually teach him Jutsu and other Ninja arts. Pushing on, the rumors of war came to an end, prevtning devastation, hatred and retribution from boiling over. By the time the Shinobi had settled down, Shinsui was at the tender age of thirteen years of age. He was now ready to take the next step to becoming a Chuunin. Shinsui would work towards this goal, while becoming even more wary of his father. It would appear that the man had grown to hate his son. The tragedy of Shinsui’s birth and the direct impact it had on the Hyuga boy might have changed him for the worst. Just how much did it change him will be explored later on. The leaders of the Shinobi far and wide all came together with the blessing of the Daimyo and hosted Chuunin exams.
But in between growing up, becoming a Genin and taking the next step to becoming a Chuunin. Shinsui loneliness, hatred and malevolent desires. Were more or less quelled by a handful of people. Their effects on the young man, serving as a suppressor to his anger and certain disdain for the Shinobi responsible for his upbringing. Friendship, and bonds, however minimal, had become an important part of his existence. Something that Shinsui have never openly admitted to. There was that one Uchiha brat, that left an everlasting expression on Shinsui. This Uchiha being the one they call Moyasu. Their friendship was an uneasy one, being a Uchiha and a Hyuuga respectively. The fierce competition between them was sometimes comical. The war of the eyes, constantly aiming for supremacy. But every one knows Kishimoto prefers the Uchiha and Senju. So all others would look like child's play, even when arguable better. Nevertheless, these two Doujutsu users, remained friends for a long time and still are to this current day. Although, Shinsui's path is somewhat different. And it comes as no surprise, when one considers how unstable Shinsui can be. Now let us lead back to the present.
The exams were a way of commemorate the end of the potential war and hopefully the beginning of a new era of peace. Shinobi would compete against each other not to kill, but through a show of sportsmanship and skill. The Chuunin exams did remain true to their roots, bringing about a great deal of excitement too. By now, Shinsui had honed his skills which had become even more noticeable to his father. But even as his son grew in strength and was desperate for his father’s love and acknowledgment. Shinsui would receive no such thing. He was tossed to the side out of anger and hatred through no fault of his own. Shinsui would persevere despite all this and attain the title of Chuunin. His father may have chosen not to acknowledge him, but Shinsui’s own peers and clansmen could not ignore him. The Hyuga boy would carry on with his everyday life as a Shinobi. His personality and demeanor underwent a radical change. His skill level was also becoming more and more noticeable, as did the hatred of his father. Shinsui himself had also grown to resent his father, now dabbling in hatred and despair. His heart was hardened and his mind was made up. And in time came that faithful day, where a meeting with his old man would take place. The explanation and revelation that Shinsui was awaiting was finally here.
Shinsui’s skill level had become so potent, that his father deemed it was high time he tested his son. This was to be a battle to the death, much to the dismay and disapproval of their fellow Hyuga clansmen. Hyuga Shinobi both from the main house and the branch family all assembled. With this battle, perhaps the curse that intertwined Shinsui’s fate and that of his father’s would be lifted. That in itself was wishful thinking, since they battled each other regardless. Hyuga verses Hyuga at the height of their skills. But Shinsui possessed an inane talent unlike his father. And it was through this talent that Shinsui was able to defeat his father after a bloody encounter. However, while in his final moments, Shinsui’s father begun explaining his reasoning behind the whole ordeal. The reason for his hatred, which wasn't at all what Shinsui first thought it to be. The explanation was given and so too came the big revelation. His father would go on to explain that his hatred wasn't at all directed at Shinsui. His hatred was due to his father’s own weakness to protect his son from the accursed fate that would befall him. The part of the Hyuga family that migrated to Kumogakure was part of a deal. It was in fact a trade off between Konoha and Kumogakure in an effort to boost their war effort for the foreseeable future. Shinsui would be used as a tool for the village and his allegiance would be as such.
After hearing this Shinsui’s own hatred boiled over. And although every instinct told him to defy these orders, Shinsui wanted to fulfill the wishes of his old man. The boy would resign himself to his fate, changing in personality and becoming a villain in his own right. Time would go by and Shinsui would take on the role designed for him. He would grow even more skillful, not one to look back. The Hyuga clansman now aged eighteen would become a Jounin of the village. He had notable skills in Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu, a skill set which made him most unique since it was tailored made for him many would say. Life would become one big journey for Shinsui and as of now no one knew what the future would hold for him. It was all about his mission. He only needed to do as he was told, kill who needed to be killed and live by the rules that bounded him. Many may try to sympathize with this man, but as of now, Shinsui was merely a caged bird. The irony in all this was truly amazing, considering the fate of the branch family.

The grand explosion and the very heat from it could be felt from quite a distance away. Shinsui appeared atop a small building, one seventy meters high off the ground. His Byakugan was already activated as he surveyed the area. There was an invasion and one might wonder what happened to the Kumogakure forces. Did a small group or organization just laid waste to a mighty nation? How might could they be if the village fell so easily? The Hyuuga stood with his usual frown on his face. The Old Hag strapped across his back, sensing all the malevolence within the surrounding area of Shinsui. His Byukgan keeping a close watch on things, his head rotating ever so slightly to cover his blind spot, if there was one to begin with. The Hyuuga clansman had his usual frown on his face, garbed in his magnificent attire. His Happuri standing out the most, carrying the Hyuuga clan symbol on it.

His appearance was of little to no importance. As of now, Shinsui wasn't under any direct threat, he was safe. His eyes beheld the numerous villagers scrambling to safety. This day would mark a new beginning, but whether or not Shinsui would remain in Kumogakure wasn't yet clear.
