The day had subtly evolved into night and the festival events was beginning to die down for the day. People were retiring into their inns and hotels, but one soul and another stayed out. These two people were ninjas from Yukigakure, so snow ninja. Each harboring pure white hair, only one was dressed like an actual ninja. This ninja was only a Chunin subordinate to the other who was an Anbu member and decorated with two blades. The one with the two swords was seated upon a boulder and his partner in crime was squatted down beside him brushing his fingers in the grass. The harsh and vibrant lights from the nearby village dimly lit the are the two loitered in as they simply waited.

What they waited for or more specifically what the ninja with two blades was waiting for was his opponent. He had said he would meet Junpei out on the east road and here Junpei was in hopes of a decent battle before it was time to head to bed. On top of that if the man decided not to show there was a tale that warriors would meet at the East Gate of the village as the moon would occupy the sky. The purpose of this meeting was to battle of course. May it be to the death or just a healthy spar, every night a battle was rumored to take place in this general area. "Think he'll come Senpai?" The Chunin looked over at Junpei who was resting his elbows on his knees leaning forward, with a yawn he replied. "I'm not sure, but if he doesn't then maybe another will . . . at this point in time I'm just looking for a good fight. Seeing you back at the festival on the stage got me all hyped up, you were kicking some ass back there." Junpei yawned and moved the palms of his hands to his cheeks moving them in a circular motion. The Chunin would chuckle modestly at his teachers comment and give a tiny bow of the head. "I guess we play the waiting game." Junpei looked over at the ninja and nodded. "Yeaup." No breeze passed as the two just simply waited in silence for some unknown warrior to arrive.

"Hi. You two from afar look rather lonely. Or perhaps you're waiting for someone, hmm?" he asked.

It had been such a day.. The Hokage had found himself in the fond company of three well-endowed chicks no more than 10 years younger than him. He accidently stumbled upon their home in an imitated drunken manner, revealed his personal wealth, and had been the center of their attention as he walked around the glorious Festival to eat in one of the more glamorous restaurants. They chatted for two hours, and their table had a pile of food-wasted dishes. He had forgotten what he said, but he was sure that he made mention of his own praise of the peacemaking efforts of the Shinobi World. After that, he had lounged himself together with the women back at home, and fell asleep before he could have any late-night action with them. He woke up a hour later, and in his own sober moral decency, he quietly left their household while taking the generous opportunity to collect their perfume, so that he may promote the product back in his country.

Afterwards, the smell of teriyaki still rested in Ryuho's mouth as he walked across a rocky pathway. There were still some people out, but everyone else had already returned to their homes. "Ahh..... you old kids.. Come out and play, come out and play with me..." Ryuho mumbled as he walked. Realizing only after a moment that there was no wind, Ryuho looked up to see two ninjas some distance away from him. He appeared before them in his usual uniform, although his clothes looked dragged and untailored. They seemed to be Yukigakure ninja. Ryuho's senses were now alert, as he had the foreboding preoccupation that any veteran shinobi would get once they meet a ninja at night when everyone else is asleep. Ryuho tipped his strawhat over so they could get a better look at each other, and so he found himself looking at them with a gentle smile......

Junpei's ears twitched as he noted the presence of another in the area. He was glad to note another, but was disappointed it wasn't the voice he had heard earlier today, but it was all good. The rumor hadn't let him down and apparently this area had the tendency to draw in true warriors. "So you answered the call. You down to go for a round or two old man?" Junpei had stood from his earthen seat and turned to the approaching nin with confidence. Hikaru was standing not soon after and placed a worried hand on Junpei's shoulder. "Woah woah woah, Senpai, that's no way to talk to your elders." Junpei sighed and nodded in agreement, but he didn't really care for he didn't take back his words.

The air still harbored no breeze only the presence of those three ninja's. Hikaru felt the man was fairly familiar, but couldn't make out who he was due to the dim lighting. Normally he would be able to tell the man was the Hokage, Junpei on the other hand was just ignorant and had not the slightest clue who he was challenging. "I'm assuming you know the legend that this place carries right?" If the man agreed to the exchange of spirits Junpei would assume a battle ready stance with his right hand on Sakana on his left hip and his left hand on Kiga on the right side of his back.

"Ho~ho, I think you must not have met the real me, Mr. Ninja. I'm just a strange, lonely foreigner from a distant country. You should not fight with a ronin like me. I don't know what this place is. However, if you consider yourself a strong man, then I will treat you to a really nice breakfast, tomorrow, okay?" Ryuho offered.

In respond to the strange man's challenge, Ryuho scratched his right cheek in utter confusion, for it seemed that this Yukigakure ninja had called him out earlier and they were supposed to meet tonight. It must have been during the Hokage's drunken stupor when he was going out with the girls. He must have caused a ruckus and ended up getting challenged by this young man to a duel. Either that, or the shinobi was confusing him for someone else, which Ryuho could not see happening, unless the imposter recognized him as the Hokage and used the Transformation Jutsu to run around causing chaos. This guy is sketchy.... I should avoid him for the duration of the Festival.... and I'm not old... but I do have a lot of chest hair... thought Ryuho. He scratched the back of his head.

Regardless, Ryuho did not like to get into fights, even if for a two-minute sparring session. He was dueling a stranger, and it was night time, with the only witness being the accomplice, who seemed to be the subordinate end of the relationship between the two. Ryuho wiggled his right hand as if giving off the message that he was "not sure", then proceed to put his hands up with a rather dumbfounded, goofy look on his face......

Junpei had heard the only word he needed, that being the word 'ronin', with that said the teen tuck a battle stance, hopefully the other man would do the same. "Forget breakfast, lets have some fun old geezer! Maybe he was just eager for a fight or just a cocky S.O.B., but either way Junpei was on his way the older male with both hands steady on his blades. "Agh Senpai, I wouldn't advise you to attack strangers." Hikaru shouted from behind, though Junpei's ears were closed to his comrades words.

Hunger for battle reinforced each of the Snow Ninja's gluttonous swift steps, his sharp eyes locked onto his target in anticipation for movement. Once in range the teen would execute a diagonal parallel slash with both his swords. His right hand leading Sakana in an upward right direction and his left hand leading Kiga in a downward left direction. The attack would be directed at the mans chest, but the wound inflicted wouldn't be anything severe given it hit the man.

Junpei had adopted the battle stance, which is a telling sign that Ryuho was about to get involved in a battle. "No can do, Mr. Ninja. No matter what you do you can't-" Ryuho stopped short, as his guard went up as the Yukigakure ninja rushed towards him with both hands on his blades. He was probably a skilled swordsman, but a bloodlusted one at that, probably lacking no traditional discipline. Ryuho disliked the hot-blooded swordsmen, and secretly obtained the tendency to whip anyone with that kind of attitude.

After Ryuho made his counter attack:
"Your man is wise. Attacking strangers in the middle of the night can get you a prison sentence in this country, Mr. Ninja".

As Junpei ran towards him, the next thing Ryuho knew was that his hand was on the hilt of his left Takashi, and he had partially unsheathed it in time to block the dual sword attack from the Yukigakure ninja. Sakana had landed just two inches below Takashi's handle and Kiga had landed just half an inch below that. Yare yare.... I really hate violence! Ryuho loudly called out inside his head, wishing to end this misforgiving as soon as possible. Ryuho shifted his body a little to the right, and kept his feet firm on the ground, as he unsheathed his blade in an Iai-type attack. Using the frictional velocity generated from Takashi's edge hitting on his sheath, he intended to draw out his Takashi so he can overpower Junpei's grip on his two guards and simultaneously injure the man's left shoulder. Ryuho's Takashi would follow along its attack path after overpowering Junpei's two blades to touch his left shoulder, which will slash up some blood from him. Of course, it's just as well that Junpei would retreat from Ryuho's attack.

As the blades grinded together and screeched in the night air and the sparks danced and tickled Junpei's skin, he truly felt alive. His daggers called fangs were exposed to the night atmosphere representing this feeling of internal vigor and his feline eyes glimmered like the sparks themselves. With the mans weight shift and his blade moving further to Junpei's left, he could predict a fluid counter attack would be administered. He wasn't sure where it was directed to, but could deduct it would be the shoulder from the angle of the blade and that being the only area in the blades path. Withdrawing Kiga from the equation, Junpei's left shoulder would reel back and his body would slightly twist back, moving the shoulder out of the mans area of effect. "You're pretty slick old man." Though he was pretty arrogant, Junpei always had the tendency to praise his opponents in battle. Maybe a douche before hand, but during battles, he was always a respectful warrior. That's when he battle people he found worth respecting however.

This would also position Kiga in a pose meant for stabbing and Junpei wouldn't hesitate to take a poke at the mans stomach with the blade. Sakana would find itself out of the conflict as well as the stab would come in at the man. Pulled back in an untraditional style, the chokuto would aim to slice into the mans left shoulder and collarbone area , almost like how a butcher would chop meat. Junpei's eyes would be steadily scanning the man all the while looking for other openings as they would also pick up on the second blade the man had in his possession that matched the first.

Ryuho's slash had missed the man's shoulder as he had withdrew both of his blades and merely took advantage of bodily tilt. Without a doubt Ryuho was dealing with a Kenjutsu master, which is unpleasant for him for he had not warmed up for this battle, and was shaken from his own lack of bloodlust and recovering soberness. Now Junpei had taken the time to build up some leverage for his impending impaling thrust, which Ryuho would have to raise his fighting morale in order to guard against, for fighting against an accomplished dual-sword user requires both of his own hands and swords.

Intuitively, Ryuho moved a foot a step back to regain his balance but also leaned forward a bit. The blade was aiming for his left shoulder area, but with such a small targeted surface area, it was easy for Ryuho to make a sidestep. He parried Junpei's thrust with a strong strike towards the left side of Junpei's Kiga (from Ryuho's eyes), which would shift Junpei's Kiga down towards Junpei's right, avoiding Ryuho altogether. At the same time, he used impressive footwork and body angle to make a similar tilt to what Junpei had done, turning his body to the left in case his counterblow failed, which allowed Ryuho to lock eyes with Junpei. Now he had the advantage, for Ryuho's Takashi was right on his Kiga, in between the tip of the blade and the hilt. They were now within range of each other, but Ryuho had particular skill in close quarters combat, that allowed him to make use of his earlier leaning forward, and propel himself towards Junpei the instant after he made the parry to launch a quick elbow strike towards the middle of Junpei's face before Junpei could finish the reach of his thrust attack. "I'm not old, Mr. Ninja" Ryuho suddenly blurted out - plainly and innocently.

As Junpei's bade began its thrust, the teen could taste the red mist sprinkling in the air, before it was shed, bu sadly he was counting his chickens before they hatched. As the thrust was coming in, the old buck would bring his blade down on Kiga, yanking Junpei's arm down with his blade. His left arm stretching over his body and his weight sightly in a mess from the sudden parry, Junpei knew he couldn't keep playing games with the man. Surely the geezer was old, but that meant he had a bit more experience and wisdom with the way of the sword than Junpei did. But Junpei didn't really care. He liked a challenge and it only made him more eager to defeat the man. Though he seemed to be in a bind, his smile endured the struggle until it ultimately liquified before the mans elbow could hope to strike him.

The water that would be produced would pass the old man, refreshing his being with a cold splash of liquid that was Junpei. The teens blades would drop to the ground as he would reform behind the man, but six feet away. The movements of the aquatic life force would be swift and give little time to react. He would make his way behind the man as quick as he had liquidized, but new on his person would be his blade Holmgang. The whole behemoth of metal reaching six feet, Junpei's right hand would be firmly on the greatswords handle, pointing it at the center of the mans back at the same time he came back into a solid substance. Junpei still had a bout six inches of the blade stored in his being, meaning at anytime he could extend the blade and puncture the mans back, given all went as planned. "And I'm not a Ninja, old geezer." Junpei would usher out through his triangular toothed grin.
