Takeo stood in front if the large village gates. A cool breeze rolled pass that ruffled his hair and caused a few leaves to roll across the ground. He took a deep breath and then exhaled. Takeo could feel his body tense up as he pondered whether or not he should leave. He pulled the letter out of his pocket and read it once again.
"If you are reading this letter, then you have been invited to a very special event. Once a generation the teachings of Hachimon are spread to a few and now is the time for those few to come to the Land of Sound and unlock their full potential. Three days from now is the cut off to arrive at the Land of Sound, so move fast."
Takeo remembered how he got this letter. He was in his bedroom, about to go to the bathroom. When he came back his previously closed window had been left open and the letter he was holding now was on his bed. Needless to say Takeo was quite afraid that the one who delivered the letter was still in his room and what was in it. After fleeing the room, telling his parents and checking the house didn't have any intruders Takeo finally dared to open the letter. His dad said it was maybe a prank or something with more sinister intent but the sound of unlocking his full potential peaked Takeo's curiosity. Takeo's dad implored implored him not to go but Takeo didn't want to waste an opportunity to improve himself.
In the end Takeo won and now he was here, nothing stopping him. Takeo dispelled the negative thoughts of what could happen if he visited the Land of Sound and began walking. His dad had been nice enough to show him the way unless he'd pointed him in the wrong direction but Takeo doubted that.
"Land of Sound here I come" Takeo said to himself with a skeptical voice.
