Spoiler:

It had just been over a year, perhaps more since Neru had become an Anbu. Around the age of 16, she had already amassed enough fame where her works in missions was both renowned and infamous. Arriving at a far off settlement, Neru could tell she had ventured out farther into her country than the usual missions required. However, this was far from being an usual mission. On the request of the Daimyo's Assistant, she had been given a top secret mission that was imperative to be fulfilled and that had been entrusted to her. While she couldn't quite put her finger on it, she had an eerie feeling about the situation. Perhaps not about anything in particular of the mission, but something just didn't feel right in the back of her head. With baseless assumptions she had nothing to truly say for anything, but there was definitely something leaving a bitter aftertaste. But that was all besides the point. There were some rather good things about the mission. Because of what was expected of her in the mission, she was not required to wear the usual Anbu attire. Instead, she was suggested she remained with her usual clothing. And looking into the mission in detail, it made sense why she had been asked to do so.

Neru would soon arrive what seemed to be a fairly normal establishment. It was already quite late and dark outside, with most homes being dark assuming most inhabitants had long gone to bed. Though from the outside said establishment looked rather dull, it was certainly not. Just moments earlier, Neru had used her dojutsu to scan the inside of the establishment, and what she found seemed to match pretty well what the Daimyo's Assistant had suggested. There was quite a large number of people within. Most were dancing, some were drinking, and others were doing some other activities she didn't quite seem to fond on observing. In essence, the place was some sort of night club. However, as indicated on the mission, there was even more. There seemed to be subterranean levels with fewer, likely more important individuals. Some of them of course, would likely be her targets. And thus, she needed to get in.

As she approached the entrance, she did it quite slowly but visibly. Under the dim glimmer of the moon, she looked rather alluring. Her outfit left nearly no room for pondering as the full length of her legs and her thighs were predominantly bare. Even around her nether regions, though obviously covered by the garments, had what seemed like hints to let the wind wander on purpose. The top that covered merely a portion o the front leaving the back largely uncovered, and her large breasts which in it of themselves already showed portions of their sizable nature from the small slits on her top. She was definitely a looker. Upon reaching the doors, she would be stopped by two very large man, who most likely were also quite strong. While she could have probably out-powered them easily, she could not do so as her mission required her to remain on the down low for the most part. "Do you have an invitation?" they asked her in a rather firm and imposing tone.

Aside from being a strong shinobi, being able to smile with relative easiness among other things, a good shinobi must have been able to act well; and Neru would play her part. Biting down gently on the corner edge of her lower lip, she would look to the side, looking somewhat saddened or distressed...hands crossed helplessly in front of another. "I must have forgotten it in the rush, I-I just...I really needed this." she said looking down. "I'm sorry Mrs. you need the proper documentation to be allowed inside." Looking to the side, somewhat disappointed and possibly saddened she would near the man. "Oh..but please, I really need this..." she said leaning her chin and forearms into one of the man, dropping a hand to cup his manhood while her butt was raised and pointed at the other fellow, "I'm sure we can come to an agreement for when I return... she finished with a smile on her face.

The man were very clearly taken by surprise, but neither seemed to object much to the situation. After whispering among themselves and giving it some thought one would say, "Well, I guess we can make an exception for someone as beautiful as you. Let's meet around the side entrance an hour after midnight." With a slight bow and a smirk, Neru would thank them, even caressing one of the man's cheeks before she left inside. Once the doors were closed behind her however, her expression was strikingly different. While she had been all smiles, giggles and seemingly veiled innocence earlier with the man, once she had entered, her face seemed quite dulls. Eyes raised for a second, it seemed she didn't quite enjoyed doing what she did, but she seemed to care very little. Instead, her expression reflected the dullness that one would likely attribute to someone who had momentarily lost any form of emotion. And that definition was not very far from the truth. While Neru was indeed a basket of emotions during most occasions, her missions required utmost dedication, and some, like this, required that she be impeccable.

Once inside, moving seemed somewhat difficult. There were just so many people drinking and dancing. As she moved towards the location that led further underground, she felt her ass and her breasts being grabbed numerous times. It wasn't just to her though. Most ladies there were seeing the same reaction. She was aloof however. Being touched meant very little to her in this situation. Acting out against however, would have singled her out among the rest and caused her to be discovered. Plus most people groping were likely to drunk to know who they groped or if they were even groping a man or a woman. Soon enough, she would have reached a black set of double doors with a single guard. This one however, was extremely tall, stronger, and quite possibly with a stronger will and resolve than the two she had bypassed before. Giving the amount of lightly dressed girls around, the same tactic would not work on this guard. And even if it did, attempting it would be a waste of time, and she had not much of the latter. With the meeting she was scheduled to listen on starting pretty soon, she had no time to lose.

Instead, she would wink at the guard and motion a finger at him. Once he had been looking at her, she would activate her dojutsu and cast a genjutsu on the guard. The guard would find himself unable to move, with Neru facing him. Then, one by one, he would find his limbs encased in cube like objects. First his right arm, then the left, then the right leg, then the left...One by one, the cubes would encase, and then separate from the body successfully severing his body parts. In the genjutsu, the guard would just continue screaming for help, yelling out for someone to help him. Being a genjutsu however, no one could hear him, and not being aware, no one would help. "You've been bad..." said Neru with a gentle smile before a cube encased his head. A short few screams were all that she heard before the cube severed the head, effectively decapitating the guard. Shortly after the genjutsu would end because of the last action. On the ground, the man remained, curled into a bull, shivering and sweating profusely likely terrified. Turning his gaze to look at the smiling Neru, his eyes would widen to their maximum, and with a sudden rush of terror he would pass out.

Having finally gone the way of no return, she would proceed being somewhat more stealthy. Sneaking her way down, she would use her dojutsu to find the meeting as well as the perfect location that was both less guarded and one where she would be least be able to be found. Her dojutsu allowed her to see the other guards and the meeting as well as listen to what was said from a distance, so being relatively close was not a necessity. Aside from the other skills, her dojutsu and her infamous use of it was likely one of the prime reasons she was tasked with carrying out this mission. It did not take long for Neru to find out what she wanted though. Although the meeting seemed to be more about wealth and possessions, the plan and idea to attack and kill the Daimyo was finally brought up, thus making true and valid the Assistant's assumptions. Having gotten to the core of her mission, she would sneak her way to the back, and circumvent the guards before the exit and even after thanks to her dojutsu. Once having left the facility, and with her eyes back to their normal state, she would proceed to find and reveal to the Daimyo's Assistant, that his assumptions had indeed been correct.

A day or so later...

Neru had been off, by the training grounds, working on some of her jutsus. It wasn't very often that she got to do so in this area given how crowded with Genin it usually was, but sometimes she managed to pull it off. She kept on running waving hand signs without actually producing an attack. She was a near legend of ninjutsu and her speed making hand seals was nearly unmatched. She was used to making them in any sort of position, and practicing helped her just as much. Before she could continue however, she was interrupted by the arrival of three Anbu. Unlike her, who wore her regular outfit, the three Anbu, naturally, were in uniform. "Neru, this arrived for you from the Daimyo's palace. It's an urgent mission of critical importance." Nodding, Neru would take the scroll that detailed the mission and sped off while she read it. I see... she thought to herself, trying not to give too much thought to the situation. The only thing she seemed to need to concern herself with was that the culprits behind the plan to attack and kill the Daimyo had been found. Given the delicate state of the mission and whom it concerned, the Daimyo, it was entrusted so that only she would go.

Neru traveled as fast as she could, jumping from branch to branch until she reached the forest she was tasked to getting to, far off from the village. The Daimyo is one of if not the most important individual of the major countries. An attack on him, and possibly being killed, would bring about tremendous upheaval and problems for the nation and its shinobi's. It could lead to war and destruction and death. With so much resting on her shoulders, Neru could not afford to fail. The fate of her nation rested on her. Using her dojutsu, she would see a number of gathered individuals before she arrived. However, upon getting to the scene and meeting face to face with the likely culprits, she was baffled. Given the chakra she could read with her eyes, the 5 were quite obviously ninjas, though possibly from a different village or missing ninjas. Still, though their ages varied, all seemed to be somewhat weaker than her. There was a chance that most of them were of Genin level, with perhaps one or two being of Chunin level. While a group of ninjas could indeed be dangerous, she found it hard to believe that those 5 on their own were planning the attack and death of the Daimyo. In fact, the Daimyo's guards, though not shinobi, were just as strong as the best of them and could deal with these 5 rather easily. What's more, even if these kids indeed were the culprits, an operation of such magnitude would require funds and the guidance of a top level and wealthy official. It was all very confusing, but for the time being, she had to assesses the situation and apprehend the group.

Surprisingly, Neru did not have to question them about their motives or the situation to know they were involved. Neru was attacked as soon as she arrived by them. She wasn't wearing the Anbu uniform and truly only wore her relatively revealing regular outfit so unless they hated revealing beautiful individuals, there was no real explanation to their actions save than the obvious; they were involved with the plan to kill the Daimyo in some way. In an instant, each would make the same hand seal. Exhaling, Neru looked rather annoyed. They were all around the same level. And from all possible jutsus, they all made the same seals. There was a good chance they were very proficient in whatever jutsu they were about to perform. And given the specific hand seals they created, Neru had a good reason to feel somewhat annoyed. In a near instant, there was an unreal amount of shadow clones that literally swarmed the area. Each of the ninjas seemed to have great reservoirs of chakra for their level and had created what seemed to be an army of shadow clones; much more than Neru would ever bother to count.

Activating her dojutsu, Neru was able to balance out the situation some. Reading their physical attacks, she was able to evade most of the attacks thrown her way while blocking the rest. To be fair, though the number of shadow clones was overwhelming, the ninjas were still very much weaker than her, and thus outmaneuvering them was not difficult. The most troublesome part about them were their sheer numbers. Dodging, blocking and defeating clones one by one was getting tiresome and taxing however. Before they knew it, a large thick mist began to envelop the area, a result of Neru's Hidden Mist Technique. Effortlessly destroying a couple of shadow clones before disappearing into the mist, it was difficult to find her. Still, her eyes allowed her to see which of the enemies were the real 5, and as she expected, they were quite easily surrounded by the other clones in an area. In the shadows, she would make the hand seals and whisper as the Black Rain Technique covered them with flammable oil.

As she expected, the ninjas did not have much options to defend themselves given their relative inexperience. Their primary source of offense and defense was just the shadow clone technique, but they would need much more than that to defeat her. Some of the clones, few ones, were dispersed to the sides in an attempt to find her while the rest remained huddled around the real ones for protection. Neru, finally coming out from hiding would say following the hand seals, "Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique." The tremendous power from the fire technique from a master of ninjutsu coupled with the flammable oil that had already drenched the clones and the originals was enough to reduce the group to ashes. With most dead given the near point bank attack, it was strange, to her, that the rare few who survived for a second or two longer, had what seemed to be the slightest smile displayed on their face.

Before she could make sense of anything else but their deaths, Neru was surrounded by people. Some were ex shinobi that had served under the Daimyo while others still did. Some others in the crowd seemed to be civilians who served or loved the Daimyo. Given their looks, they were quite angered with Neru, but she couldn't make out why. In most ways, she was utterly confused. With a couple of armed individuals starting to approach her, she readied in case she had to fend off the enormous crowd, something that seemed to be a rather daunting and impossible task. Before the situation escalated any further however, a messenger arrived carrying two scrolls. One was handed to the likely leader of the angry mob. After reading, though still very clearly angered with Neru, the group would reluctantly leave, leaving Neru and the messenger to their own accord. With a bow, the messenger would deliver the other scroll to Neru and dissapear with the same air of mystery with which he had arrived.

The Daimyo had been kidnapped, and the Assistant had placed blame on Neru saying she was supposed to protect him and instead ran off. Though clearly angry at the Assistant's actions, the latter had written in the scroll to forgive him since he had no choice but to do so to save his own skin. Upon further inspection, the scroll details the area where the Daimyo has been taken hostage, which the Assistant somehow was let on without his life bring taken. He tasks Neru with finding and bringing back the Daimyo save and sound. With no option left but to accept, given the importance and significance of the Daimyo, Neru takes off in his pursuit to retrieve him. Still, there was much that bothered and puzzled her. Aside from the Assistant levying all fault an responsibilities on her there was more. There wasn't any point in defeating and killing the 5 ninjas. Were they truly behind the plans. Why did they smile before dying. If the Assistant suspected the kidnapping why not advice her to stay with the Daimyo or reinforce the Daimyo's security instead of sending her out for nothing. There was no clearly believable answer for now, but she hoped that, upon finding and saving the Daimyo from his kidnappers, the truth would finally reveal itself. In more ways than one however, Neru was feeling rather eerie. The truth, though necessary, might have been more than she had anticipated. And again, in more than one way, it would be.

Moments later

Having finally read the scroll to its completion, eyes widened, Neru rushed deeper into the forest, activating her dojutsu once more. Even before arriving, she sees the castle is completely protected. There are an immense amount of armed civilians, who, although not ninjas and thus not knowledgeable of chakra, were quite numerous and heavily armed. There was also a chance that deeper into the castle there would be a good number of trained shinobi. Given the large number of armed civilians, even with her dojutsu, passing unnoticed was just not possible. As she jumped into the fray she was quite easily found. "Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave." As she spoke after finishing the hand seals at the extremely fast speed she was known for,  an incredibly large volume of water was shot from her mouth. The amounts were quite so massive that they washed away and crushed the large majority of the civilians, even forcing the gates of the castle opened.

Jumping through the side wall, avoiding the doors, she sped further into the gigantic castle. Staying to fight every armed civilian was impractical as she would never get done. Plus, the fate and the life of the Daimyo were at hand. Her earlier display of power must had been enough to alert nearly all of her presence so the fighting from there on, would end up being much more dangerous. Upon rushing through the gardens and breaking into the core of the castle itself, Neru was swiftly met with quite the mighty force. She was met in a battle against two renowned Jounin level missing ninja from a different village. Given their skill level and their number, the fight was on her disadvantage and would be quite a lot more than she bargained for. One of them rushed forward, trying to hit her and knock her out with his taijutsu, something Neru wasn't quite fond of using in battle. Instead, she created the signs for the Water Clone Jutsu. And right after, she would use the seals to imprison her assailant in a Water Prison Jutsu created by the clone. Given the large amounts of water created earlier, and the fact that such volumes were slowly reaching their area, creating said techniques had not been very difficult; specially given Neru's massive chakra reservoirs.

Though one of the two Jounin had been incapacitated, the other had been farm from down. The Jounin behind her had used a fire style attack to get at her. While her dojutsu had shown her the seals in anticipation, she couldn't truly do much, She had been preoccupied with putting the other Jounin out of the fight and dealing with both, quite high level shinobi like her at once would have been silly. Though she managed to avoid somewhat given the benefits awarded by her dojutsu, some of the attack happened to crash and burn on her left shoulder, and it burned rightly so. Falling to the ground, she would thank the fact that the immense volumes of water created earlier were already reaching their location and thus, dipping her shoulder on the water, made the pain somewhat more bearable.

She wasn't sure how long she could keep the other Jounin within the water prison, specially since she had to also watch out for an equally powerful opponent. Rushing his way, Neru would crouch some as she ran to remain relatively out of sight of the Jounin. However, her opponent, also seemingly being somewhat more apt in taijutsu than she was, easily back stepped, and fixing her eyes on her readied to deliver a likely fatal blow. However, being faster on the move had been his downfall. As soon as his eyes connected with hers, just like Neru wanted, the opponent had been caught in her genjutsu. "Welcome. This is my Hellish Labyrinth: Death in the Sky." said Neru as everything started to change around them. Neru and the Jounin were in what seemed like the sky, in a large hallway, with only him, her, hovering pocket watches and a large armed monstrosity. Noticing he could indeed move, the Jounin tried to dispel the genjutsu but to no avail. As a second option he tried to rush Neru, hoping to kill her and thus end the technique. It wouldn't have worked, but it would have been interesting to see if Neru actually allowed him to perform such a move. Just as he rushed towards her, the monstrosity had rushed towards him.

Being much taller, the monstrosity, having longer limbs, was easily able to cover much more ground than him in less time. The large being possessed somewhat thin legs and arms albeit having a normal body for its size and a large head. The body was predominantly covered by a thick medium gray fur. On its head, a large jester-like hood covered mostly everything but its mouth. The hood ended in two protrusions like horns, and from the eyes, a pair of sharp thorns spiral out which hints at the monstrosity having no eyes. Nevertheless, perhaps out of Neru's own doing or for some ulterior reason, the monstrosity could pinpoint the foe's location with extreme ease. Having caught up with the opponent, the monstrosity would swing the large scythe, cleaving the opponent in twine, leaving only his dread filled screams of pain and sorrow. Just seconds after however, the opponent would appear again, this time seemingly unharmed but still quite weak from the pain that had just been delivered to him a second or so earlier. This time, though initially hesitating and crouched over from pain, the opponent seemed to be somewhat confused. The pain must have felt so real that he doubted he was in a genjutsu at all. As soon as the opponent was able to regain his composure however, he quickly tried to rush Neru once again just to see her jump atop one of the pocket watches. Just a near instant after, the monstrosity would appear face to face with the opponent, dragging its scythe through his body, ripping up the flesh and destroying his insides in the process.

Once again, there screams and yells of pain and agony. The next time the opponent reappeared, he was terrified, still screaming on the floor, kneeling in pain. Once again, his body seemed intact though the pain and the suffering endured was still very much present and likely stacking. This time however, terrified as he was, the opponent tried to run to the end of the hallway  hoping to end the genjutsu that way. Instead, his desperation and fear heightened as he found the hallway just made itself longer the more he reached the end. And, even upon jumping of the side of the hallway into nothingness brought him back into the hallway in an instant. It was like he was a prisoner of his own fate and he just wanted to die. For at least five or so more times, Neru would continue to torment him, letting the monstrosity chase him and kill him. Some other times she would near him and jump on a pocket watch just to have the sheer horror of the monstrosity cut him in twine once again. Even one of the times, she had even allowed him to get close enough to tr and touch one of the pocket watches himself. However, he would learn to avoid them as the shock he received from attempting it was in par in terms of pain as being killed by the monstrosity.

Eventually, the genjutsu would be cancelled by Neru herself, as it was obvious the Jounin had already been dealt with to the point of no return. Though it may have taken considerably long within the genjutsu, it hadn't quite been so long on the real world where it mattered. This time however, a nearly petrified Jounin remained crouched on the floor, crying, sobbing, and yelling for death. Horrified as he still was, he even puked as he huddled and crawled away in an attempt to get away as far as possible. With just one more enemy to tend to, she was surprise when her opponent trapped inside the water prison, using some skillfully honed wind release ability, managed to, after a while, break free from his imprisonment. In an attempt to restrain and deal with him, Neru had her water clone perform a full nelson by grabbing him and keeping him in place. Given the talent in taijutsu from her opponent, he was soon able to outmaneuver the clone and land a hit with one of his kunai onto the clone, effectively rendering him nothing but water. Though the man was indeed fast, Neru's hand seals were also incredibly fast, and the slight moment that her clone had bought her was all she needed. Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder." Speaking the words after so quickly doing the hand seals, Neru had already placed her hands on the floor before the opponent had even time to notice. Faster than he could react, the massive wave of destructive lightning would travel through the floor, effectively getting to him, and given the massive power and the conductivity of the water around him, killing him on the spot.

Finally having no real threat ahead save for the numerous armed civilians that might have survived her earlier attack, she had nothing else to fear. There would likely still be some time before they were to catch up. Arriving at the main room where the head and wealthy owner of the castle resided, it was time for Neru to settle it all and rescue the Daimyo. Bursting though the doors, Neru did indeed find the wealthy owner of the castle. He was quite terrified, in a corner, begging for his life. What seemed strange was that the man had no knowledge about the Daimyo and it was obvious from using her dojutsu that the latter was nowhere around in the room. In fact, it seemed the wealthy owner had been made aware of Neru's arrival in an attempt to kill him and had thus amassed as much forces as he could. It was the reason Neru had such a troublesome time getting to where she was. It didn't make sense however. Nothing did. What was the Daimyo's Assistant thinking? And more importantly, she worried about what was truly happening to the Daimyo. Still, Neru had to rush out of the room as fast as she could and as stealthy as possible to avoid the waves after waves of armed civilians from making escape impossible.

Just minutes after exiting the facility and the area.

Having finally run her course far from the castle and the armed civilians, it was likely none had noticed her escape. And, even if they actually had, she was far too ahead and fast for them to catch up. Still, though Neru was far from being low on chakra, the night had been quite uneventful, and she had exerted herself more than she had done in most missions. However, as she would soon find out, the real battles of the night had not even begun.

Before she continued on her escape, though not really knowing where, Neru was caught up by a messenger bird, very obvious from Kirigakure. After taking the message and seeing the bird off, she would note that the message was sent from the village elders. Just that alone heightened the sensitive of the situation as they rarely got involved in any matters save for the specially urgent ones. It seems everything had been orchestrated by the Daimyo's Assistant behind his back. He had been fooling not just the Daimyo but also Kirigakure and Neru herself. Aside from her dojutsu, the fact that she was just about Kirigakure's strongest shinobi made it clear why he had chosen her instead of others.

All this time, the Assistant had been siphoning funds and riches from the Daimyo to himself. He planned on pinning it all on Neru and Kirigakure, and maybe even selling some secrets to foreign nations. And of course, obviously, his plan was also to kill the Daimyo once he had obtained everything he sought out to get. The elders tasked Neru with going to the Daimyo's castle, stopping the assistant and saving the Daimyo; this time, for real. However, it would not be an easy task. Given the great connections and manipulation exerted by the Assistant, the plans orchestrated were more convoluted than most had originally assumed. Everyone by the Daimyo's Castle had already been informed of Neru's arrival and were ready for her. The Daimyo's guards, individuals with nearly untold power would perhaps cause Neru to lose her live.

Because of the mission and the fact that it was one of their own, and related to the Daimyo, Kirigakure couldn't just send numerous shinobi. Instead being much closer, the mission rested on Neru's shoulder, even though failure was the strongest possibility and the end of her life, being quite possibly the only end. Neru was well aware of the dangers. She knew, that most likely, she would not return alive from this mission. Aside from the obvious numbers of armed civilians that would present, there were 5 very strong shinobi that formed the personal guard of the Daimyo. They were all on par with her in terms of skill level, and each was extremely proficient in one of every one of the 5 chakra natures. It would be a battle for the ages alright. While Neru had been tasked with stopping the Assistant and saving the Daimyo, defeating the 5 guards had not been included for very obvious reasons. It just could not be done. Instead, she was to do her best to hold them off as to not allow them to kill her and perform her duties. Though reinforcements from Kirigakure would have surely been sent, they would only arrive after it had been too late, and so, another reason she had to go in alone.

Activating her dojutsu as soon as she arrived, the massive amounts of protection, though daunting, did not quite phase her as she was well aware of the near impossibility for this mission. "Water Release: exploding Water Colliding Wave. Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder!" After performing the near invisibly fast hand seals for the jutsus, Neru had created the two to allow her to break through the hundreds and hundreds of armed civilians. The water was able to fill the entire area, breaking most of the reinforced gates and crushing a multitude of opponents. As she ran and rushed as fast as she could, the lightning zapped and killed a large number of enemies while it sent waves to annihilate others. All the while, since they were not so well versed with chakra, her dojutsu allowed her to effortlessly dodge the attacks that were thrown or hurled at her direction...jumping, sliding, running up walls and spiraling out of the way.

Once inside, the massive amounts of water had already filled the gigantic gardens of the Daimyo's palace. Behind her, as soon as she entered, there was an immensely large wall created from an earth jutsu. Dam... she thought to herself. She knew quite well what that meant. As soon as the wall behind her had been erected, 5 shinobi stood farther ahead in front of the small doors leading to the hallways and corridors within the castle. The earth wall had been made by one of them, likely the specialist on the Earth Style Jutsus to make sure the civilians did not interfere, and also to make sure Neru would have no way to escape outside. Reasoning with them was out of the question. No matter how much she talked or what she said they would not allow her words to reach them as they had their resolve set on killing the one they thought was the enemy.

Rapidly making hand seals that were not even a blur given the speed she said, "Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks. Lightning Release: False Darkness." Thus one after another, the five large sharks were hurled in their direction while the large destructing spear of lightning was shot their way. In response, one of the five would deliver an immensely powerful wind based jutsu while the other created an extremely powerful fire style jutsu. In unison, a third created a momentary but extremely durable dome of earth to protect them in the rare chance their attack was overwhelmed. However, it would not be. The combination had been just enough to out-power Neru's and it was just thanks to her dojutsu that she managed to see the attack coming and dodge it in the nick of time. The battle was a losing one. The three of them would easily cause her to be useless in the battle, and even then, there were another two that had not even participated yet. While she was not there to defeat them and was just rather supposed to push on to find the Daimyo, doing so would be impossible. With their power, it was just not possible for her to advance any further...alive.

She had no choice, creating a water clone, she placed her hands together and sat down. Initially, the group was somewhat confused as to what she was doing, believing one or the other to be a ruse. One of the 5 would just use a jutsu that caused a spear of earth to come off from the floor in an attempt to impale and destroy the clone. Dodging likely because of the dojutsu, it was still not long before the clone dissapear as a following lightning style attack would make it dissapear. Still, they looked on at Neru, seeing nothing happen around her nor any attack being created. Eventually, growing tired of her little game, three of the rushed her, likely trying to use their attacks once they were closer, with two of them staying behind should long ranged attacks be needed. Still approaching her, Neru remained immobile. Just as she was about to be punched, there was a fairly large explosion, with Neru disappearing from their sight.

"I really didn't want to do this, but I guess there's no choice." "Shut your trap ye old slut. Why yer bring us here for?! said the the toad, Shiva on one of her shoulders. "Don't you talk to her like that! Lady Neru probably has a good reason don't you dear? Finally making herself visible as the cloud of smoke disappeared around her, Neru was seeing standing on the side of a wall, quite a good distance away from the 5 shinobi. "Yea...I'm sorry about that. I really had no choice. Otherwise..." "That's alright dear, there's no need to explain." Settling down some, Neru exhaled, as the now separated bodies that are usually the conjoined twin Shiva were fused, one at each end of her shoulders. "The Daimyo's in danger. We gotta get in and past them, fast." Shiva would just nod in unison, agreeing with her request and noticing there was no sense wasting time in useless talk.

Her eyes were now also quite different. While they still glowed red because of her dojutsu, the pupil was now a slit, horizontal rather than the circle most human had, given the Sage Mode she had gone into. In a second, there was one of the 5 shinobi rushing up the wall, catching up to her rather quickly. With a single swing of her arm, she was able to stop his body movements in a single action, and send his face crashing hard against the wall making an undoubtedly fair crater. This form heightened every form of her shinobi skills were beyond comprehension. Rushing down and past them, she turned, "Sage Art: Frog Mist! said Shiva before spewing out a dense cloudy smoke form of her toad oil towards the opponent. Naturally, because of the jutsus's effects, the opponents would be impaired for quite a while, having their vision robbed from them for a fair amount of time. While they could still pursue her using their other senses, it would add difficulty and make it easier for Neru to reach the area she needed to in time.

Having seemingly rid herself of the shinobi, she would rush towards the location of the Daimyo, now obviously faster because of the new form. It was no time before she made it to the main hallways and into the last corridor that led to the main room. Before she was able to get to the door, not far behind her, two of the 5 shinobi had caught up. While they still could not see, they were able to use some s=of their honed senses to get there. They were after all, the elite of the elite shinobi that had been tasked with protecting the Daimyo's life so it made sense that they were among the best, the cream of the crop. But Neru had no time, because, for all she knew, the Daimyo might have long been dead. "Sage Art: Goemon!" said Shiva and Neru in unison. At the same time, the Shiva in one shoulder had created massive amounts and large volumes of toad oil while the other used a large and powerful wind release technique to spread and propel the oil forward and give it more range. In unison, Neru would use her fire nature chakra to ignite the oil, and thus, in an instant, the whole corridor and the hallway away from her would be filled with oil burning at temperatures of thousands of degrees. The super heated oil created an inferno that would have easily killed the shinobi as with temperatures that magnitude the foes and the surrounding would have been reduced to cinders in an instant.

Not caring to check back as she had a vital mission to accomplish, Neru would burst into the Daimyo's room to find the Assistant about to take the Daimyo's life. From a different window, some of the shinobi that had been dealt with earlier in the courtyard thanks to the Frog Mist, had entered, barely being able to see but witnessing with shock what the Assistant was about to do. Witnessing the Assistant about to deliver the fatal blow, Neru rushed, and tackling the Assistant, she would use her False Darkness technique to impale him from the bottom of his jaw, killing him on the spot. Lying over the dead body, Neru would whisper her thanks to Shiva, who, promptly after Neru's command, would disappear from her body, returning her to her regular form.

Struggling to get up, Neru was extremely tired. Though she had had many and difficult missions, the ones that had been presented by the Daimyo's Assistant had been among the toughest she had ever endured. Having finally cleared her name, the surviving shinobi would come and apologize to Neru. The Daimyo himself would vow, and thank her for her dedication and help. With the mission done, and tired, Neru would return to Kirigakure to receive the thanks and warm welcome of her people. Once again, though in a life and death and extremely difficult mission, Neru had managed to bring success and honor to her village.
