Talim raised a smile at the man’s kindness suddenly feeling herself hurried along toward the table her feet keeping up with the pace as to not trip and destroy one of the tables. Klutz were gonna be klutzes and Talim had a knack for it, but for once she managed to keep her balance all the way to the cushions upon the ground. She remained silent to respect the conversation the two were having and planned on intervening with a remark but they were quite the social worms as she watched enjoying the air of honesty they seemed to have in this tea shop. Hoping they had it Talim had decided upon Chai which was a sweet tea filled with savoury spices of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger. Was one of her favorites to enjoy as well as make in most cases, always capable of warming the cockles of her heart. She listened as he spoke of her business realizing the place was relatively empty which meant Talim would have to help more in her spare time ...and if she ever had money. She found her moment as the old woman chimed in with who his company was but immediately fell silent as she mentioned the idea of wedding tea. “W-w-eddin-g-g?” She questioned, she probably was as red as Jun by this point or more as she tried to recover from this completely forgetting which tea she wanted. “Right,” Talim chuckled a bit frantic from the idea of it all. She wasn’t against the idea but she had just met the man and despite being handsome and close in age with her … well he is the kage how is she suppose to flirt about with him without feeling unimportant. She then heard menu which reminded her, “Oh yeah can some Juni-ch- I mean Chai!” She stumbled over the words.

Junpei's hands went over his face in further embarrassment from Talim's slip up. Not disappointed in her or upset, more so that she wasn't helping the cause any, but he couldn't blame her, he too was a bit flustered thanks to the woman. "Hehe, ok that was a Chai tea, a Jasmine, and three sticks of Dango Granny . . ." He would say loud enough for the old woman to hear in case Talim's words weren't enough. "Are you sure you don't want something to eat, I'm more than happy to pay for you ya know." He would say to his company back in his personal voice. If she decided to add on which he hoped she did, not only so he wouldn't be the only one eating, but also so she could be satisfied and not hungry, but then he would tell the lady so she was aware, but if not he wouldn't press on any further. "So, if you don't mind me asking, how do you like living alone? I remember my first couple months, really an eye opener, but I got used to it." Maybe bad table manners, but Junpei never really was one for them, so he shamelessly rested both arms horizontally on the table as he leaned forward just the slightest bit, right over his arms. He figured it was better posture than he had when in his office slouched in his chair or practically resting with his head on the desk while scribbling through papers.

Talim hoped that the slip of the tongue would be unnoticed by both Juni-cahn and Granny but it seemed like Junipei was far to observant to miss. Lifting her hands to her face she covered it trying to conceal her embarrassment till it had subsided. She wasn't going to ask for anything but her stomach rumbled through the quiet room, "I suppose a bowl of soup? Any would really do." She stated finally bring her hands down. The rosy color still in her cheeks but slowly waning back into her usual skin tone. She didn't know what all they sold here but a ramen would have done her some good as she normally only treated herself to one large meal a day. Talim then got sideswiped by another question, "I ummm. Well it isn't easy that's for sure." Sighing she would follow it up, "I don't really have an income at the moment which makes it hard to keep my house. Dad sends what he cans but I probably need to find a job ... that or find a warm part in town to live. But I'm getting by fine." She tried to cheer up at the end obviously hiding the fact that she was only living off of what she had on her now which wasn't much more than a couple more meals.

Past all the flustered emotions and embarrassment, Junpei relayed the order of a bowl of soup to the elderly woman and she nodded sagely as she went on about her business. Luckily the conversation would roll over to something more casual, though in the end Junpei only ended up feeling a bit bad. He wasn't one for sympathy, but he knew the struggles of living alone, though he had a bit more solid income from being a Chunin in Yukigakure. But she was only a Genin and it didn't seem like she was the most active on missions. "Hmm, I'm semi familiar with that situation too. It's pretty hard, but once you get going on missions, money will become one of your smallest worries, promise." Along with her cheeriness at the end he too tried to boost her spirits. It was rough to start, but it all mellowed out and Junpei was aware of the dangers of the ninja world having been a wanted criminal for so long, so he made sure his ninja were getting paid well for their work. "Buuuuut . . ." He added with a drag and a smile. "If you ever need a place to stay or anything, just stop by the Daimyo's Quarters yeah. There are a decent amount of empty rooms in that place, so I know it sounds like much, but don't hesitate to visit or ask k?" His signature sharpened ivory smile again pierced the air, before fading into a softer expression as he looked over to see how the old bat was doing with the tea and things.

She would sit their on the ground her hands tucked into her lap as she tried to hider her emotions. The rosy flushed coloring began to escape her cheeks finally after all was said and done and she would look back over to the kage who was all but a year older then her. She was happy that the awkwardness had passed and she was prepared for meals to show up some time. As he smiled at her adding a butt she looked over to him wondering what was happening. and suddenly she felt just as awkward again. "Wait are you offering me one of the rooms in your place?" She stammered lightly raising her hands up in the air. "I couldn't possibly accept that offer especially since my parents would have a conniption and also I-I." Rather defeated in her thoughts she let her held her head supported by her arms now leaning against the table.

Junpei's smile slowly degenerated into a neutral expression, but then a more understanding one eventually as he nodded with a nervous chuckle. "I expected as much aha, sorry didn't mean for it to come off as weird, just a friendly gesture, but yeah I understand." His smile would return for a brief moment, before morphing into a more modest or nonchalant visage. With a curious hum and the raise of a brow, the teen stood from his seat and paced over to the old woman to help her with the two trays. He didn't know why she was attempting to carry two trays, probably so one wouldn't have their food in front of them before the other. Not a big deal, but it could be a minor awkward moment. "Here let me carry this one." Junpei gently grasped the tray and was granted possession as he walked at her pace over to his and Talim's table. A quick flash of teeth as he set the tea, soup, and utensils down, he took his seat and had his Dango and tea in front of him. "Thank you Oba-San, it looks great." The old lady gave a chuckle that made Junpei a bit weary, but he let it slip out of his mind as he looked at Talim's food and her with a light look of contentment.

Talim still knelt at the table feeling like she should have stood up to help as well but remained sitting as she saw Junpei stand up and retrieve one of the dishes from Oba-chan's hands. "Thank you for the meal and tea. Both of you really she smiled staring down into the cup and bowl. Her stomach pounding with the thought of a good meal that she wouldn't have to pay for. She felt bad for mooching but he seemed rather insistent and she needed the financial help at the moment. Picking up the bowl she didn't have much manners slowly slurping at it's broths so she could then use the chop sticks to pick up it's contents. As she finished her bowl she smiled rather oafishly, "Sorry I was rather parched." She then reached down and would slowly eat the noodles taking a few sips of her delicious tea.

Nodding his head a bit slowly, Junpei had almost forgotten the meal was on him, when Talim thanked him and Granny for the meal. Sliding a stick of Dango in his maw, he watched in minor amazement as Talim gulped away at her meal, he wondered if she was even swallowing or at this point was the broth just pouring into a pit of despair. Slowly he chewed each rice ball as he watched and his head would even nod up slowly as the bowl tilted back. In the corner of his eye he even caught the other couple present watching her, but their eyes were averted as she began to bring the bowl down. "No need to be sorry, haha if you're hungry, you're hungry, if you're thirsty, you're thirsty." Giving a reassuring smile, he took another bite of his dango and washed it down with a nice soothing sip of tea. Setting the cup down he stared at his discolored reflection in the honey colored liquid and drowned himself with his own thoughts.

Back into the thoughts of the world powers and if he was making the right choice for the village. Sure the villagers agreed with him when he brought up restarting ninja training and things of that matter, but were they truly agreeing or just giving him the answer they thought he wanted to hear. His adviser, Hikaru, was good at shedding light on both sides of the matter, but not much help on making the decision. One path would be harder to traverse than the other, while the other was also hard and could put the village in harms way, but at the same time work to protect them. Junpei guessed it all came down to how he lead the village and what morals he instilled in his ninja's. Looking up from his reflection, he looked at Talim with a curious or maybe questionable look on his face as if trying to stare into her soul or something similar. Afterwards he would look over to the couple a few tables away, they obviously were not ninja and were just getting by, by living civilian lives. Not that that was a simple life itself, but the two didn't seem much different. At least not on their exterior, maybe internally their wiring was different like male and female, but aesthetically a civilian could look just as intimidating, appealing, dangerous, troubled, or defeated as a ninja and vice versa. Taking another bite finishing the first stick of dango he figured the answer was something that was beyond the surface of skin.

Talim wiped her cheeks with her clothed sleeve, some of the excess broth that had spilled about the rimming onto her cheek. She smiled back at the man with a quirky look, trying to feel normal after her display of manners. As she had eaten a few rice balls she would then stop her chopsticks picking away at the last one as her right hand picked up the cup of tea giving a sip. Something was now upon her mind as she wondered what exactly she could do with herself in the town after all her training was done as a genin. Talim’s mind raced with thoughts for a short period of the future unsure of what she could really do with herself. Then she would look back toward Junpei raising the cup back to her mouth taking in another gulp of the delicious chai tea.

She looked back toward him wondering what possibly could be going through the mind of a Kage yet one so young. He was quite wise though and caring of his people so she had no doubts that her choice of villages to train at was the correct one. She looked over and asked, “I know that I shouldn’t ask this but umm are you doing anything in particular later?” She wasn’t really thinking that it would sound like an offer as a date as she was wondering if he would maybe help her return to Suna for a short time as she had idea of visiting with her brother for a short period but she also knew it wasn’t wise to travel alone especially as a genin.Looking up she would be matched with a gaze which startled her slightly making her go silent as she watched his eyes stare seemingly into her.

Junpei wasn't upset that his venture into the depths of his mind were impeded, he was actually quite content seeing as it was rude to do so in a situation like the one he was in. His perplexed stare was destroyed with a blink as his expression instantly shifted into one that showed astonishment. An understatement, but her question was a bit misleading, seeing that her intentions weren't an extension of the current time together or a request for a date. Nonetheless, Junpei could make no promises as he was a very busy soul, but Talim was becoming an important soul in Junpei's mind frame, so he would try to contort his schedule if it was acceptable to satisfy Talim. "Later today, actually yes sadly. As for times after this yeah, but there will be small holes in my schedule occasionally, I bet you can imagine how hard it is for me to find free time . . ." His expression showed nothing, but ignorance to her question even if it was her asking for a date, as his mind was dwelling elsewhere at the moment. Biting off a single colored rice ball, he chewed and swallowed, before finishing his statement. "Why do ya ask?" He would say before reaching for his cup of tea and taking an extensive gulp as the douse his whole mouth in the calming flavor of the liquid.

Talim smiled her fingers still coiled up in the cup of tea pinching it in the grasp of her silky fingers. Noticing the single blink from the boy she pondered what he could possibly be thinking. As Junpei mentioned that he was of course busy later today sh realized that her question was poorly worded. "Oh no of course not today I still have a lot I would like to do here anyways. You know busy life needs to start up with all those missions which we can begin." Talim placed the cup back down onto the table the cup would appear empty from the long day of work. "I am from sunagakure and was just contemplating visiting my brother and family there."

Junpei's calmed expression would blend into a sagely nod as Talim told him her intentions. "Cool, Sunagakure it is." His head titled with a lighthearted smile and tone. One would think a choice like this would require much more thought, planning, and just overall more well taken on a more serious note. Not that Sunagakure bore a grudge against Junpei or the Sound Village, just that usually people weren't so quick to agree to travel into a desert, but on Junpei's end, he really had no village in mind. He only knew he wanted to travel elsewhere, so Talim just gave him a reason to head out into the scorching sands. Who would accompany them though. Alone Junpei had no issue traveling, but when another was in his company and was a low ranking ninja it actually raised to danger level, for Junpei would have to watch another back. "A squad would be nice I suppose." He thought to himself. I fun little mission to escort the Daimyo to Sunagakure and back, he was already excited. "How's that sound?" Not like she could hear his thoughts, but Junpei felt she understood he was talking about going to Sunagakure.

"Really? Just like that? Don't you have to meet with other of Otogakure's higher ranks to inform them that you are going to be missing and make sure that it is an ok time to leave? I mean Oto could be attacked or something couldn't we?" Talim was for some reason surprised by his eagerness to leave and was trying to question how the Kage was able to leave on such hiatus's with little warning. Unless of course that was going to be the first thing he would bring up today with the others. She also realized that the desert wasn't the greatest place to visit despite her attempts to make her home seem more appealing. Regardless it seemed like she was going to visit home and possibly with the kage. Her brain went blank as she though of how her parents would react to this information. "Of course a squad would be nice." She nodded in agreement, "I suppose I have kept your attention long enough though. I still need to get a few more chores done anyway." She smiled brightly at him.

Junpei's eyes flickered over out a window to either of his sides, before peering back at Talim with a faint smile. "Mhmm" He hummed as he sipped his tea and set it back down on the table. "It was already arranged that I'd begin traveling soon for hopes of making peace and making my presence known with eh other village leaders. The only thing that was undecided was where and that fell on my shoulders, but you just helped me figure that out, so haha yeah thanks I guess." He smiled letting a light chuckle escape, before falling back dormant. He fell back into his thoughts, now with a village chosen, he thought of how to prepare for Sunagakure. He had no intentions of violence, but seeing as his water element would be rendered for the most part and hydration would be precious under the merciless sun, he needed to train. He needed to pick up a new elemental affinity just in case, for one could never be too prepared. He nodded to himself, then caught on to Talim's beginning stages of a departure.

"Ah yeah, Hikaru is probably gonna get pissed if I don't return soon too. I really enjoyed your company though, more than I usually do with others, breath of fresh air." He laughed nervously at first, before it mellow out to a more subtle and smoother expression of humor, then finally a smile as he stood. Shuffling within his yukata he took out some ryo and a gracious tip, "Bye, and thanks Oba-chan, take it easy yeah?" he would say while waving tot eh elderly woman, before heading out the tea shop hopefully with Talim following so they could say their goodbyes. If she would do so, once outside a hand from Junpei would be extended, making it obvious he wasn't accustomed to these departure rituals when it came to females, especially ones he saw as potential mates as he didn't want to enter her personal space.
