With everything prepared, it was time to begin. The objective was simple and Ryuho's order's clear: they weren't to engage anyone unless it was absolutely necessary. Violence would only draw attention to themselves, and leaving a trail of bodies would not bode well in keeping a low profile. The Hokage clearly knew what he was doing when he gave them the instructions, but surely even he did not believe that getting inside a hidden village undetected, without fake identification or anything, was possible without engaging enemy shinobi.

Only time could tell when some brave soul decided to come and interfere. Unlike them, however, the trio were ready. They openly anticipated being confronted, and knew the dangers that entering hostile territory entailed. Even with all that in mind, Soratsu was not deterred. He moved swiftly and confidently, scaling the side of the Great Naruto Bridge with utter ease. This piece of Kirigakure was rumored to be a hot spot for tourists, but thankfully it was empty today - courtesy to the light drizzle of rain that cascaded down from the sky, but was moments away from clearing up.

Once on top of the bridge the Uchiha made sure his mask was properly adjusted on his face and his hood covered the back of his crown. Muffled footsteps would lead him forward, his pace not too fast nor too slow, but careful - deliberate. A quick glance upwards would be all that was needed to ascertain that Karasu was flying unimpeded; he wasn't a huge fan of flying in these conditions, but the opportunity to prove himself forced him to stay vigilant. Soratsu, too, followed in his companion's stead, watching the bridge and it's few inhabitants with a keen eye.

The time for reckoning was nigh.

So, this was The Great Naruto Bridge. Lingering to the right side of Soratsu would be another hooded figure - face obscured by the feline porcelain mask, and alabaster locks clearly being hidden by the hood. This was the first time Kotesu had touch soil belonging to a foreign country, and though this specific location - The Great Naruto Bridge, was a tourist attraction; the Jigoku had seen nothing great about it. Maybe it was the patriotic love he had for Konohagakure, or the hate he had for Kirigakure at the moment; but, in his eyes - this was just a normal bridge.

Nonetheless, even with the eyesore of a bridge - their mission still remained, which dealt with entering the walls of Kirigakure. His steps mimicked that of his kin; careful and deliberate - not something that would attract attention to himself in the slightest. Eyes remained forward - lax, yet alert - awaiting to spot anything abnormal within their view. He was the sensor of the great squad zero; it was his duty to always be attentive and quick to notify his comrades of something - which, was why he remained so focused.

The slight drizzle did little to stray his concentration, the small drops only sliding and then dripping from the porcelain mask. His breathing calm - steady, underneath the said mask; his body on the other hand was tense. They were no longer boys playing ninja, nor were they kids thinking they found love - no, they were shinobi. Men, that would do anything and everything to make it out alive - was Kirigakure ready for that?

The shaded face of the pillar complimented nigh-invisibility as the shinobi scaled the vertical pillar.

After hours of travel, the trio finally settled into the nest of Mizu no kuni. The homeland to the Bloody Mist and more importantly, their important mission(s), failure was both unacceptable and unlikely as the three forged an advanced towards the flooring of the Great Naruto Bridge. The veins of Kirigakure, this connector was the most visible and most likely, the only basic entrance into the village; commerce and military prowess alike using its concrete asphalt to guide numerous bodies and minds to and fro. This chain which connected the island Hidden Mist and the rest of the Kiri would be the initial point of access, and what would come next surely depended on their performance on the Bridge’s face. Hopefully, it wouldn’t be blemished in the process.

Ryūza soon found himself behind Ni, though at a diagonal while San remained perfectly aligned to his right. Three meters separated all persons as Squad zero formed a symmetrical triangle—a basic, though effective formation. What decorated the boy’s form became irrelevant as the dark of his cloak concealed his visage. His features similarly masked behind bestial porcelain, the tranquil animal reflected the Koizumi’s façade--cold, calculating.

More mysterious than the faces behind the masks, the mission who led the three would remain undisclosed; unspoken to any soul beyond the three who ventured in a balanced triad. What they came for, unknown to all others, would be reclaimed and anyone who thought themselves confident enough to stop them would find their ignorance spotlighted in utter defeat. This wasn’t a sensation of arrogance, but an oath to desperation. They wouldn’t be beaten, couldn’t be defeated for the honor of the Hidden Leaf took the form of blood, and this mission was the body.

Shaded eyes peered beyond the allure of the tourist attraction and upon the distant gates before them. Centered and equipped for any situation, the team would progress within their edicts. It was time.

Would this be a revelation for the Bloody Mist, or a purge they so frantically needed?

These amateurs, whoever they were must have been on the daftest to ever walk the planes. Who in their right minds storm the front gates in such a manner? Covert operations was the ideal option for all forms of attacks but not like this. Everything about them screamed Shinobi and that of foregin origins.

Quiet as things may be things were never dead silent. A single oar could be heard breaking the peace of the waters. This boat, even from the bridge could be seen holding a single passenger who was by such, the roarer.

The formation of the intruders were in a triangle, showing they were co-ordinated in some form of rudimentry tactics. Their features could only be outlined the cloaks and hoods they had chosen to where. Closer inspection would prove useless as their masks would hide their identity.

"The 3 of you have to be dumbest Shinobi I have ever laid eyes on." Roared a voice in the mist. The source was at the other end of the bridge, precisely at the village entrace end. The voice was at least a dozen meters away "You dont look too friendly either." The 3 had relied on the cover of the mists but this was home ground. The Shinobi of Kirigakure had their eyes well adjusted, providing a better vision in the vision than most. Mind you it was not perfect, simply better. The 3 would have had an easier time if they had mingled with tourists.

"Report it to the village." this would not be shouted but to a subordinate. Footsteps that echoed loud due to the general silence could be heard. There was time for this individual to be stopped but there were others in waiting. For all that was given there were 2 shinobi manning the Arched Gate at the end of the bridge. However one never knew how many more there were.

Dumb? That was unnecessary. The voice that called out from the other end of the bridge was registered within Soratsu's mind, but for the most part ignored. It was strange, really. This land - specifically The Great Naruto Bridge - was a welcomed area for tourists of most countries and villages. Security was tight, yes, but clearly to prevent wanderers from entering the village.

What was strange was how the guard, even from such a distance away within the light mist (12 meters), seemed to discern so many facts about the trio from just a glance. Were the trio really that unfriendly for wearing hooded cloaks in the rain? Was it really that suspicious that Kotesu and Ryuza were following behind the Uchiha, albeit in a triangle? Was that just a good guess, or were Kirigakure shinobi really that paranoid?

Whatever the case, it mattered very little. Another simple glance upwards was made, but the majority of the movement would have simply appeared to the guards as if Soratsu was finally acknowledging their presence. His pace never slowed and his eyes did not falter, instead he continued forward unimpeded. It was only upon narrowing the distance between him and the guard to eight meters that he ceased all movement.

Onyx eyes would peer through the slits of his porcelain facade, gauging the guard and everything around him; all the whilst his hands remained inside his cloak, steadfast.

That escalated quickly - in fact, it went zero to hundred real quick. The guards voice - rather yet, his tone, had proven that he depicted the group hostile for some reason, a reason unbeknownst to the Jigoku. Was Kirigakure that paranoid about their land? It was drizzling outside, raining - so what was so odd about wearing a cloak? Maybe their land had a reason to be such a way; past events or just sheer fear causing them to creep on their toes; the latter seeming to be the most reasonable. And though Kotesu wanted to just strike down the guard from afar (12 meters), he shrugged off the thought due to Soratsu's approach.

Eyes shifted underneath the porcelain mask to the frame of his advancing kin, their gaze remaining on him - studying every single body movement that he made. It only took one movement, one set action to trigger off everything - for now, Kotesu would await a response from the guards patiently. He didn't want to be the one to provoke combat, nor to jeopardize the mission, he would leave it to the animals across from him to decide such a thing. If they wanted to fight, so be it - though, they should be careful who they picked their fights with. Especially, when the other group already had the upper hand against these amateurs.

Much like Soratsu, he too would walk forth - stopping exactly eight meters  away from the guard; while his frame was three meters to the Uchiha's right. After his comrade's statement, words would be projected forth, while slender digits remained alert underneathe the ivory cloak.

Lord Ryuha was wise in allocating advice in the form of caution in a foreign land. However, surely the Hokage could have passed on that the individuals entrusted with Kirigakure’s protection were complete and utter idiots. It was beyond paranoia and nothing made more sense that inanity, which even superseded insanity in the eyes of the Chūnin. Nothing warranted the hostility granted by the ill-mannered gateman; maybe he needed the extra aggression to secure his job. From initial inspections alone, one could easily discern that the luxuries that were afforded in the leaf were mountains above what the bloody mist could offer; their economy could have been dying for all the three knew. The lack of job security and the contagion of stupidity was an unfavorable combination, though these were suppositions; they were seemingly commonplace in this mist-saturated hell.

So when the Uchiha made his advance, the Jigoku soon followed, taking from his diagonal positon to a parallel front. Synchronously, Ryūza would also move, staying three meters behind as usual, but this time, taking the centered stance; fixed evenly between his comrades, the Koizumi’s shrouded visage was visible (as far as visibility was concern) to their southern flank. Meanwhile, slight activity ensued beneath his wares as dark eyes peered beyond the porcelain and towards the obstruction.

Building A Legacy XzSNLac
Soratsu and Kotesu had done enough talking for the three of them; adding in words would only serve to nurture repetition. Instead, he would remain silently, seemingly in passivity with his fellow kin who took lead in this theatrical setting. They were paranoid in stopping them without cause; this would truly test how oblivious the shinobi of Kirigakure truly were. The question was, however, could they have been any slower than the Koizumi already pegged?

That would have been overwhelmingly shocking.

These hooded figures whoever they were definitely had some issues. As if they owned the place they walked right up to the gates. Obviously they were confident in their skills, something that unsettled the sole Kiri shinobi on the bridge itself. The man's hands were relaxed by his sides, heck he was a Shinobi too. His right index finger would hook around a Kunai's hilt causing a little clink sound. Everyone knew what that sound was.

"State your business with me. Your Village as well. Rank. I have not been informed of a visit. All channels at the gate go through me."

He didn't like the way this was going. He said his last words a little louder than needed. A sign of fear perhaps, trying to subdue the uneasy feeling within himself. Perhaps, but he was a Shinobi too, of the red mist. The rowing stopped the boat now free floating towards the bridge's side and probably under it. The rower too was a Shinobi, being signalled he would arm himself with a large Fuuma Shuriken already fanned out.

"Peace doesn't mean we're an open country gentlemen. "
The shinobi in Kirigakure did not wear cloaks for the mist. They were one with the mist. All the while the little genin boy would be running towards the Mizukage's office. The Chuunin still had time to intercept the little boy.

Well, at least these guards were not as unintelligent as they appeared. From their position as the village's first defense as well as they posture and demeanor, it was easy to recognize the fact that they were shinobi - even if not particularly high ranking ones. This was further proven by the guard's inclination to ready himself with a kunai projectile; the click sound was all that was needed to understand that this situation was going to get hostile fast.

Building A Legacy Excb993
"That's unfortunate."

He cooed, deliberately ignoring his request for them to state their business, village and rank. Now, he could have easily lied - it wouldn't have been hard to make up a viable excuse on the spot to get them to back down. Something told him, however, that no matter what they said the hostile nature of the guards - and maybe even the rest of the village - wouldn't subside. Perhaps it was the trickle of fear that oozed from his tongue with every word; fear, after all, was known to remove irrationality from those that experience it. Gauging all these options on the spot, the Uchiha made up his mind.

Caw! Caw! From above Karasu's voice rang loud - two deliberate calls. To all those around Soratsu it would've meant nothing, but to him, knowing his raven's tendencies, it meant that in addition to the guard in front of them, there were two potential enemies. With that information his hands went to work, coming together - within his cloak, hidden from sight - to form a single seal. His legs guided him forward simultaneously, and at the very moment he had managed to travel all but a couple of feet (3), Soratsu's technique would manifest from his eyes.

It would all happen so suddenly and without any indication, the chakra that pooled within his eyes effortlessly expelling a bright flash of light that would blind anyone in a twenty meter radius that was looking in their direction. Because the Uchiha had decided to move ahead of his teammates before using it, they wouldn't be effected by its onslaught - the guard, and anyone around him however wouldn't be as lucky. Using that opportunity - roughly the six seconds they'd assumingly be blinded - his hands would form three more seals before his body was transformed into a completely different appearance.

This all happened as he kept moving forward, allowing him to Henge into the look of one of the many guards that they had passed along the bridge whilst he entered the village. He was under the impression that anyone that was paying attention to the situation and near them would be blind, and rightfully so. If all the dominoes fell in place like he expected, he'd cease all moment once behind the guard and turn to face the direction he had come from, all the whilst still disguised. Standing roughly 3 meters behind him, he'd rub his eyes, feigning like he was affected too.

If his teammates had caught on like he had expected them too, the fluid situation would have gone off as smoothly as possible.

Sad truly, how even in their best efforts - conflict couldn't have been avoided, which would only result to unneeded bloodshed upon the tourist attraction. It seemed the guard was afraid, terrified even - that shinobi he knew nothing about had appeared before him, causing his emotions to get the best of him, and even resulting in the action of drawing a kunai before the three. The soft sound of a "shink," was all that was needed to awaken the Jigoku from his humble slumber - bringing forth a beast that not even the Bloody Mist could handle.

And though his emotions began to flood his thoughts, crafting and molding numerous ways to kill the guard(s) - he waited for Soratsu. Eyes of maroon still remained on his comrade's frame throughout all this - patiently awaiting for a given sign to take action. Carefully, but assertively, digits would slither within the cloak; the sound of the Uchiha's raven being the reason; but even with that - Kotesu still remained within his position.

Everything was about timing, whether it dealt with combat, or not - timing was everything. Thus when Soratsu began to walk forth, everything would begin to unfold. The sight of a bright flash being exposed to the guard(s) (since, Kotesu was behind Soratsu), would shortly bring forth a basic technique - body flicker. The sole seal for the technique being forged underneath the fabric of the cloak, easily allowing the Jigoku to move swiftly within the slight commotion - a kunai being drawn in the process. Moving here to there via the means of the body flicker, Kotesu would easily appear before the guard - his body halting to get a better footing. With that, a swift motion with his wrist aiming to cut the throat of the man would occur. His strike most likely proving successful due to the predicament of the being, who would be blind due to Soratsu's ninjutsu - unless, he magically found a way to avoid it.

Building A Legacy IOj0asp
"Disgusting."

If not, the sheer shock, trauma, and pain would surely surge through every fiber within the guard's being - even causing him to clench his throat to prevent the blood from spraying out, if he wanted. Though, the Jigoku's actions did not stop there - he would take the opportunity to simply push the guard in the direction of the bridge's edge. Which would probably result to the man losing his balance and tipping over into the deep abyss below - if not, then it matter little to none to him.

Assuming all went through, things would be a lot easier for the great squad zero. Kotesu easily faced the new guard that had appeared, their distance being separated by three meters. If only they had allowed the group to enter - this all could have been avoided, but sadly it was not. Raising his armed hand to the guard - his kunai pointing directly at him, the Jigoku would begin to walk slowly - his steps being taken with bloodlust lingering.

The only credit that could be given to the guardsman was that they were unswerving in their paranoia. This same paranoia translated into bent justification for obstructing entrance into the Hidden Mist. While this seemed routine in the surface, it was nothing more than a façade meant to stick their faces in matters that didn’t concern them. On the day the Bloody Misty decided to hinder the zero squad, the village’s moniker would truly gain substance and emphasis.

As the subtle, though audible drawing of steel resounded through the mist, Soratsu reacted voluntarily. Several footfalls carrying him forward before a blinding, near crippling flash ensued but a moment following. It was sudden, untraceable, and most importantly, immediate. A tactic trained for situations like this just as swiftly danced through the forefronts of the Koizumi’s mind before his hands came together beneath his cloak, producing a single seal. The weight of the rain and building composition would drown the acoustics from the technique his chakra fabricated and where the Uchiha would have been if not for his stunt, a new entity emerged—a Shadow Clone. There was no vertical difference in size and both Ichi and Ni donned identical robes; there was virtually no way to distinguish what was and what should have been by traditional efforts. A successful bait and switch was conceived with the Uchiha’s sly deception and the Koizumi’s introspective thinking.

One pawn moved didn’t promise victory and the duo wouldn’t fall behind their comrades. So to compliment San’s advance, knowing the depth of his personality and the ghoul that slept within him, the original and carbon copy followed suit, progressing closer towards the bridge.

An attempt was made on the guardsman’s life as the Genin was instructed to alert the Mizukage of the impending troubles. Crippling the boy would have been an effortless feat, but this smokescreen, which came in the form of an assault by San, would prove more beneficial for infiltration. Running side-by-side—a single meter in separation—the pair sprinted towards the Gates, attempting to the use the remaining seconds of Ni’s blinding flash and the disorder of San’s attack to purely mask their Godspeed—twin Shunshin carrying their bodies silently and expeditiously pass the gates of unobstructed.

Building A Legacy JbcpsIh
It was swift-moving, perfectly-timed and was masked in an impeccable camouflage. These Shunshin would become the epitome of correct uses, leaving only the most marginal of room for error; so small, in fact, error was nigh-nonexistent.

This game of cat and mouse would come to an end on the Great Naruto Bridge. What would come next would be pure, unadulterated excitement and skill which would carry Squad 00 to both unrivaled success within Kirigakure and their names etched into the chronicles of history back in their native homes of Konohagakure. The fun now began!

Cue, Infiltration of the Bloody Mist!

Cussing would be too late, the move was made, the spear of the trio had come too close. A normal action would have been countered but the gatesman had not expected a Dojutsu of sorts. It was not the traditional arts but it was still an eye technique. A searing pain plastered the back of his eyes. Like an annoying pressure the light blinded him, all he saw was red. The shinobi was no fresh blood, instinctively he moved backwards copying the movement of the Uchiha but at the time he did not see the Uchiha move nor feel him. The movement he felt was that of death, a reaper coming to claim his life. Instinctively he raised his arm, straight out. If he was blinded so shall he be. The guard stretched out his arms, fanning his fingers out to cover much of the vision of the Shinobi as possible. Quick to follow the Kunai hand jabbed multiple times to ward of his attacker. This movement was of an experienced fighter, he needed some form of leverage to this great disadvantage but alas... it was not enough. Through the fine spaces a cold blade found a line. He could feel the cold buzz through his body. Damn. Red driplets stitched his throat.

"Gharg...GHARgh-"
The man tried his best to shout a warning to the outer gaurd walls. He had failed to protect his home at least he could do was alert the rest but all he got was a mouthful of his own blood. His eyes now returning, saw his assailent. He stared with deep hatred, through the holes of the mask. Yes they were Shinobi, but they were also people with homes and families. Curse this life. In the next life I want to be born as the youngest in a wealthy merchant famility. "Da---haaai.. hhahahaa." With one last breath he tried to stab the man in his temple but it was futile, it was too slow and lacked energy. The gaurd was met with a cold splash.

The Second gaurd did not see what had happened as he was behind the trio. From his boat he could only vaguely see the 4 figures. Only when his comrade had fallen into the water with the splash did he understand what had happened. From the river with greater accuracy than expected the man sent the fumma shuriken flying. It flew a circle, aiming to hit the Shinobi in the lead. Man did this escalate quickly. All the while the Genin ran towards the Kage building not knowing he was being pursued by two dogs of war.

That was... brutal, to say the least, but something that couldn't have been avoided. The guard was hell-bent on preventing them access to the insides of the village, and wouldn't have relented unless he was put down. A couple steps backwards would be made as the guard struggled to breathe with blood filling his throat, and though Soratsu appeared to merely be continuing to play his role, his distaste for watching the man struggle was genuine.

"Get away!" The Uchiha screamed, his voice deeper, hoarse, and completely unfamiliar. With Kotesu moving towards him, feigning as if he was going to attack, Soratsu turned and fled towards the left of the village. Ryuza had decided to continue forward, and there was a large projectile headed towards him, but with his abilities and swiftness avoiding it would be an easy task.

With nothing else impeding him, the Uchiha disappeared into the village.

Neither remorse, or emotion lingered within the feelings of the Jigoku; in all honesty - joy was plastered upon his facade underneath the mask of his. The sight of seeing one in pain, the smell of blood - it was, nostalgic for him, birthing a rush within him that could not be described by mere words. Nonetheless, as the soon-to-be dead man attempted to stab away at Kotesu - simple steps were taken to avoid them. And when he finally plummeted to his death, Soratsu became the main focus - the two acting a scene for those around to believe.

So, when the Uchiha ran off - Kotesu did the same; eyes of maroon seeing the projectile being darted towards Ryūza. Though, that was easy for the likes of the Koizumi.

It only took keen ears to perceive the disruption in the air as the Shuriken cur through the skies; its blades aimed to hit the Chūnin square in the back. The sound was so familiar, and was produced by an instrument the Koizumi had in his own arsenal so distinguishing it was almost second-nature, coupled with a once-over to see the item moving through the mist. Fortunately, lady luck had strong stakes invested in the two, so their deaths would come later in life. As the steeled weapon approached, not knowing who to target (the clone or Ichi), the two simply branched off mid-sprint. Their bodies easily separating meters before splitting off, allowing the weapon to simply pass by through the middle; a gallant effort, though late in execution and wasted as the gatemen sunk to the depths of the body of water surrounding the village. From here, the infiltration was a success and Ichi would regroup with his comrades when the time was right.
