Otokage's Building

The day was beautiful. The sun was out in Otogakure and it brought a rather wide smile across the young lad's face as he enjoyed being out in the weather today. The warmness of his skin embracing the sun's rays. His headband was off to the side today on an upward diagonal stride from under his left ear to the top right of his head that still rocked the Village of the Sound symbol signifying his allegiance to his beautiful country. Today though his hoodie was not equipped for it would make the lad warmer than necessary causing him to sweat, instead the boy was rocking a plain white tee that flowed beautifully with his light blue pants. But how he looked didn't matter, how he looked was way less important than the duty he was here to complete on this wondrous day. The boy had plans to meet the kage of his village today. He had done a variety of easy missions not to mention the missions he's completed with his ANBU squad mates and he just wants to meet the man in charge of the beautiful village Gekkido proudly claims as his own.

The boy stepped foot in familiar territory, the area around the Otogakure Administrative Building. Yes he has been here before flirting with the secretary, mowing the lawn, picking out the weeds so everything here was nothing new to the boy but that was about to change. The young lad, Gekkido, walked up to the entrance of the building made of stone with clear signs of age to it but not in a bad way. it was remarkable how the building stood standing this whole time through all the wars that it has been through, a modern miracle of architecture in all honesty. The doors of the building opened automatically obviously having one of those automated machines that closes and opens the door when someone steps in front or behind it, the boy saw the woman at her desk where she was before the last time he was here.

Gekkido winked at the woman and she stood up leaning over the desk, Gekkido struck still with embarrassment but mostly the boy did not know what to do in this situation, this is one situation the boy isn't accustomed to and so it caused the boy's heart to pound in his chest with no remorse of what it could do to Gekkido's body. "I need to see the Otokage." Gekkido muttered to the woman with the heavenly figure, barely getting the childish demand out of his mouth due to his heart beating so much. The woman would just look at Gekkido up and down, her eyes noticing every little detail about him but Gekkido just stood his ground firmly attempting to control his breathing so not to look like a pussy in front of this beautiful woman. She turned her body to the side, allowing Gekkido vision of just exactly it was she was hiding inside her shirt and even her bra, the double D size made Gekkido's eyes go double D size with his mouth open wide. She clicked a button and would speak to whoever would be in the room of the Otokage, "Lord Otokage, you have a visitor. Named Gekkido Maki." Her voice was so soft Gekkido didn't know what to do with himself so he simply took a seat and awaited some sort of answer.

Oboro sat at his desk doing paperwork like crazy. Being the Otokage seemed to be a bit harder than he thought it would. He had to keep track of so many things happening in the village that he just didn't know what to start with. However, he didn't mind. It seemed the former Daimyo, Zanji Uchiha left so much behind. After some time, he would have everything sorted out in no time. While tempted to use the sharingan to aid him, he quickly decided against it, realizing that hard work would benefit him. However, when he heard the voice of his assistant saying that he had a visitor, he was more than pleased with a break. "Thank you, send him right in sweetheart." Gekkido Maki... That was the Genin that he and Shinsui completed a few A rank missions with before. He was likely here on account of promotion. Feats like that rarely went unnoticed..

Oboro would wait as the boy made his way up the marble stairs to his office. He tidied up his desk a bit and brought out a chair for the boy. This would be his first visitor in the office and so he wished to make it look presentable. However, it seemed he rushed things and had a few extra moments to recollect. Perhaps the boy was flirting with his secretary. He had heard from her that someone had been, though she gave no specifics. He smirked at the thought.

The woman smiled at Gekkido as he sat in his chair awaiting a response, seemingly toying with him with her eyes, looking at every little crease and crevice of his being she stare at him smiling. Gekkido felt a little uncomfortable not because she made it awkward but because the young lad didn't know what to do. Lord Otokage allowed the boy entrance into his office and when he heard the voice over the machine he couldn't help but feel that the voice was recognizable for some reason. He couldn't quite put his finger on it just yet but as he passed the door to go through to the next level before the kage's office he attempted to push the door open staring at the woman's heavenly figure but couldn't push it open due to it being electronic only activated via a button that the woman has to press. Gekkido didn't know this information. In his head he was looking cool, his heart still pumping fast, but he looked cool until he kept walking after thinking he pushed the doors open and ran straight into the doors looking like an idiot in front of this beautiful woman. His face became blood red in an instant as the woman laughed at the young lad and from embarrassment, Gekkido walked quickly through the doors until he couldn't hear her laugh anymore. "Whatever... I'm about to be Chuunin so she don't even matter..." He was still smiling at the situation because he was indeed about to bring up missions he's done and a rank up possibility. Hopefully Lord Otokage would see the same way Gekko sees.

At the end of the hallway past the doors were a set of a marble staircase, so beautiful and elegant in looks and a master of architecture. The boy took a moment and marveled at the hard work and effort put in to such a design. After taking a few looks at the stairs he began his steps up toward Lord Otokage but he hadn't even thought of what he was going to say and he was so nervous.

What if he doesn't want to promote me? What if he doesn't care how many missions I've done, what if he thinks that I did those for the good of the village and not just the ryo? What if... he's a she...

Gekkido couldn't help but be thinking all these things, his heart beating so fast as each step became harder than the last up toward Lord Otokage's office. Upon reaching the last step he was finally three stories up and would be met with another hallway. Gekkido looked at two door on both sides of the hallway, one labeled Security and one labeled Library. Gekkido shook his head as neither of these were his destination, he began walking down the hallway and would notice that the hallway was full of doors each labeled with different titles and such, he didn't know what was in these rooms, only that each one seemed more important than the last. Upon reaching the end of the hallway he noticed Lord Otokage's office door, labeled as such. Gekkido took a deep breath and would knock on the door at the same time letting himself in to the office. To his surprise it was Oboro from the missions he had done a few days ago with Shinsui, only this time he had no ANBU mask. And to this, Gekko was a little confused. He took a seat that was obviously meant for the visitor he was meant to have and so he so gracefully took his seat with a look of confusion about him.

"So uh... Lord Otokage Oboro, as you know we've done those A ranked missions. I don't know if it has been reported to you or not but aside from those I have done six D ranked missions alone. This shows diversity from me as a shinobi and I am looking for a promotion into Chuunin ranks. As you've seen I can handle dangerous situations and if it was reported, you know I can handle the easy stuff as well so if it pleases you, I'd like a rank up to Chuunin please." He spoke earnestly to Lord Otokage, hoping that his serious tone of voice instead of his usually silly-ness that Oboro saw during the mission would show the new Lord Otokage that he meant business and can turn off the stupid shit when the situation requires such a thing. Gekkido looked around the room noticing a few scrolls in some wooden cabinets to the side, unmarked, and some unmarked books as well in another cabinet on the other side of the room but overall it looked nice. Gekkido would lean forward putting his arms in his lap, "Congratulations on your promotion by the way..." Gekkido finished with a smile on his face, it could only be assumed that he was promoted due to the man wearing an ANBU mask just a few days ago and so Gekkido was happy for him no matter what the outcome of this visit would turn out to be.

The room was absolutely silent for a few moments. From a darkened corner of the office, Hobbes the baby tiger emerged from the recesses of the office. Revealing himself to the humble pet owner. He rubbed his body against the ground, only using his front legs to drag himself to the feet of the Uchiha. Upon feeling the tiny paws swat against his pants leg, Oboro looked down to lift his little kitten up and rubbed his chin softly before putting him on his shoulder, where the cat normally rested. He seemed to prefer looking down from a height, almost as if it thrilled him. However, shortly after, Gekkido came through the door of which the Otokage had suggested. However, he seemed a bit red at the cheeks. While he was tempted to ask, Oboro decided not to question the boy and just let it be.

The boy came in, as invited and Oboro made a smile on his face clear. The two already knew each other. There was no real reason to introduce himself once again. However, his eyebrows did drop in a confused expression as Gekkido referred to him as 'Lord Otokage'. The boy seemed to have a serious tone but for reason, he seemed a bit unnerved. It was all in the eyes. His pupils were to small for him to be having a good time. He started by listing his accomplishments in the village. It was true that the two had done a few A rank missions together. Genin on A rank missions was no small feat. While he did get help from two Anbu, this was still a great accomplishment. If his memory served, he was actually able to hold his own in the fight, despite being rash in the beginning. On top of those four A Ranks, the boy completed six D ranks all by himself. Also very impressive. He was truly showing effort toward helping the village, and this, Oboro respected greatly.

"Well, its true that you've helped thus village out. Not many Genin can boast completing four A rank missions in a day. I would be honored to have you as a Chunin in my village. And thank you for the congratulations. Now you can congratulate yourself. Originally he was going to give him a hard time. However, the boy had already worked hard enough. Now all Oboro did was give a smile. "By the way. I think Oboro will suffice. We're friends after all right? Unless you prefer to be called Maki-san?" The Otokage would say playfully. Hobbes smiled from atop his shoulder.

Gekkido could tell that the new Lord Otokage from the simplest gesture of a facial expression. Gekkido was put off a tad bit by this but he got through his speech to Oboro. His body was stiff even when he finished his little plead to his friend Oboro and waited for an answer. The sun was high above in the sky, it lit up the room, Oboro's left shoulder started moving slightly. Not the man's shoulder but the man's clothes started shuffling a little bit from what seemed to be an outside force, like not Oboro. Gekkido's eyebrows raised as he noticed this small detail.

Out popped a small little cat looking thing. Upon further inspection Gekkido rules out other possibilities, this was a baby tiger. The little tiger's size made Gekkido have the thought of it's short life so far. The little baby tiger was a beautiful orange color with random black stripes throughout it's body and tail. Lord Otokage spoke on Gekkido's accomplishments and what he's done so far with his time as a Genin of the Sound, he couldn't help but smile and feel appreciated. The young lad felt a little more comfortable, even more so than when he first entered and saw that it was Oboro as Lord Otokage. It wasn't that he was too nervous because of Oboro, it was the fact that the boy had come in this building, stomping in the kage's office and demanding a promotion. That type of begging isn't a piece of the young Gekkido's style as a person.

"Thank you Lord Otokage for noticing and appreciating what I've done." Gekkido said with a much lighter tone of voice, the situation was in a better light so to speak as the sun would continue to be bright in Oboro's office. Gekkido put his head in a diagonal way with a bright smile and pat himself on the left shoulder with his right hand as a sign of sarcastically congratulating himself on the promotion Oboro was so generous to give him. The man that ran the country then proceeded to give Gekkido permission to use his first name unless he chose otherwise. "Oh okay Oboro, we are friends, you can call me Gekko if you want." He smiled even wider than before as he gave the new Otokage the nickname his father had given him a few years before he had passed. Of course Oboro wouldn't know this but it was very significant to Gekkido. He turned away to leave the office but just before exiting through the doors he would turn once more, "Oboro man I really want to go see other villages. I just got done talking to some man named Garuda Uchiha and I want to be experienced like him."

With this piece of information Gekkido spoke aloud to his new Otokage, he would await an answer. Whilst waiting for an answer from Oboro, Gekkido would go to a cabinet with some of the unmarked books, take a random one after sliding his fingers past a few rows and open it. Reading the first page the words were titled, "Lands of the Shinobi". Gekkido kept his ears focused on Oboro, the man knew Gekko enough to know that he can multitask with such simple things. He was reading in the book, the first chapter is of Konohagakure.

Oboro looked happily at the boy before him. He seemed excited by the fact that he was now able to become a Chunin. It was clear that he was also observing the actions of Hobbes who sat and listened in on the conversation. However, the boy then spoke of leaving the village for a visit to another country before bringing up the likes of Oboro's own brother, Garuda. He mentioned that he spoke with him as well, and this made Oboro smile. It was true, his brother was strong. He too had ventured the world. And he couldn't deny his Chunin the same right that had been given to someone seeking strength.

"While I would personally love to escort you to wherever you wished to go, I sadly cannot. I have duties here, and as you know, we have a very important visitor in the village. Sadly, I cannot take you where you wish to go. His eyes took on a saddened expression as he explained this to the boy. Normally he would be more than willing to escort him, though times have changed. "However, I will have my Anbu bodyguard escort you. She's actually in the room as we speak. As if on cue, a shadow behind Gekkido moved. However, Gekkido would not see Kyoko Nara emerge from it. Nor would he notice that their two shadows were connected. Oboro did however and scowled at the woman for being so hostile to the boy that was flipping through a book from Oboro's library. While he'd normally require someone to ask permission to go through his things, he didn't mind as long as it was a friend. This is when Kyoko would clear her throat. "I suppose I will be the one taking you then.

"Konohagakure no Sato, the legendary Land of Fire, home to the most legendary protagonist shinobi in the books of Shinobi..." The book's first sentence in the Konohagakure section was a little humble as they always were when it came to explaining the Land of Fire's history. Gekkido smiled when he thought back to anyone that ever described Konohagakure, Sasuke this and Naruto that, he couldn't help but to think those as the only noticeable people from the village that are spoken of the way most people talk about the village. Nonetheless, Gekkido's posture was nothing short of perfect, his shoulders back with his chest puffed out with his new Chuunin rank, the boy couldn't help but to carry himself a little more professionally, he was now a Chuunin of the Land of Sound and that sounded good. Gekko heard the man speak on Gekkido's request of him to escort the young lad on his travels to other countries in search of some sort of power, anything to increase his own prowess. Sadly the information brought about a sad tone to the whole room. It was apparent Gekkido's first choice was Oboro but now he would have to ask to see if Shinsui would be free of ANBU duties.

Gekkido then heard mention of an ANBU bodyguard that will escort him. Gekkido wouldn't move, he would stop reading the book, look up with his eyes only... but wouldn't move. Gekkido had meant to look up with his head and turn to face Oboro as he would speak but his body could not physically move so he just spoke. "I can't move Oboro what the fuck is happening? Is this your bodyguard? I didn't see anyone else in here when I came in man!" He was freaking out a little bit but how else would a young lad act if he tried to turn his own body but met with rejection. He had things to do physically but could not do it. "Where is he anyway!" Gekkido said, a little more calm now but still not in full understanding.

That's when he heard it. The voice seemingly came from the shadows which made it all the more creepy. The boy still couldn't move, apparently trapped in some sort of binding jutsu as he hadn't made the connection yet, he couldn't move his head to look around and see that his shadow was connected with that of another. He would just sit, caught in a Nara jutsu and see what he was told to do next because he had no clue. "Ah so she's a woman, do you do this to all your new friends or is it just that time of the month, lady!" Gekkido forced a laugh after the words he spoke sort of taunting this newly net person who seemed to be a very experienced shinobi, a good choice to protect the one who rules these lands.
