Hozuki Jiro P91b

Name: Jiro Hozuki
Nickname: Deadeye
Age: 46
Gender: Male
Village: Kirigakure
Village Rank: S-Ranked Mizukage
Skill Rank: S-Ranked

Hozuki Jiro V128

Height:
6'7"
Weight:228 lbs
Hair color:Black/Brown
Eye Color:Dull
Looks Image:Hozuki Jiro Starrk_by_rocky_ace-d588sdg
Looks Description: Jiro is a tall, lean man with an patch over his right eye. He used the patch as a child when his eye socket was healing up, and never put in a glass eye instead because they look creepy to a six-year-old kid, and the eye patch made him look like the pirate he was born to be. His good eye is dark, near black, and he has a fairly thin aquiline nose and a mouth generally at rest in a smug half-smile. That smugness also comes out in the way he generally stands - arms crossed and head to one side - as if even when he's not "ready for action" he's still more ready for you than you will ever be for him.

While Jiro cleaned up well when dealing with potential customers for his ship's services (Kojuuro made him wear a suit, and it was a very nice suit indeed), and makes himself incredibly spiffy when going into battle with his brigantine and his helmet with giant crescent horns, appearance isn't a priority for him. His black hair is generally very roughly cut and hanging halfway down his neck unless it's shoved up under a hat or helmet for battle. Under normal circumstances, he barely bothers to dress, instead going around his ship in a cheap yukata and sandals with one of his swords as the only sign of his authority.

Hozuki Jiro Cy10

Personality Description:When people first meet Jiro, he radiates confidence. No, not confidence. Arrogance. Granted, his high opinion of himself is generally justified, but he wants to make you know how awesome he is too. And being that amazing means that he knows he's going to succeed, no matter what. He's going to see whatever he's at through until the end, through the sheer power of determination and either power or cunning, no matter what. Yes, he'll step right into your trap. But he knows the trap is there, and he knows the risks of "falling" into it.

Surprising as it may be for his former profession, he does have a very strong sense of honor. While he thinks up his own traps and has a general "fuck the Watch" attitude, it's the kind of "unfair" fighting that's considered fair by long-term use. He's not going to attack an unarmed man or a ship he knows is defenseless, and while he's killed a few people that most people would regret, they set themselves out as fair game. Seeing someone else break those general rules.

There's no way he could have gotten as far as he did on just brainpower and determination. Even though he has a fairly low-key personality in most situations, his happiness coming out more in sly, playful behavior than open joy, he's able to act excited over something important to him. Hell, one of his battle cries is "LET'S PARTY!" Even though that joy is over-acted for the benefit of others, it's infectious, and it gets others to work for him.

But even though he isn't as excitable as he acts, Jiro is still a friendly guy. When he thinks that a man is worth something, he wants to be his friend. While he usually makes overtures towards friendship by challenging someone to a fight, if he meets his match he'll never let him down after it. His friends aren't necessarily his equals (though he'd consider Kojuuro his closest friend and peer despite him having been his XO), but more like younger brothers or sisters. If "shit's crazy", he'll tell them. Or show them. By punching them.

However, time hasn’t been, as kind to Jiro as it has to many, youthful energy isn’t as easily come by as it ought to be and he is beginning to tire. His strong love for battle has died into a dull roar, and his thirst for conquest has ended with more failures than successes. Jiro is a man who has won, lost and drawn on nearly every field of battle, from youthful conquest and fights. To losing an eye and becoming more cautious. He fought in the realm of love and married, a wonderful plump wife whose cooking caused him to grow larger than a big during holiday. To the death of his child on a mission as a genin, and the deep depression it caused his wife, ending her own life. Jiro has persevered through it, not because of some sense of will or determination, but one of duty and this is what you do. Loved one’s are sometimes lost, families are torn apart, and Jiro has many a time made a father not return home, or a beloved son or brother fail to pull through. His life is strictly about survival, be it the village, his own, his friends, his loved ones, and death is the only defeat he knows. It is the final conquest he has.

Hozuki Jiro 32es

History:Birth Arc

Jiro was born within a deep forest. The forest where the village of the rain is located. He had some 'demonic traits' to his appearance, even though he didn't act like one. Jiro was born into the Hozuki clan of Kirigakure which has the power to use water to create a powerful advanced nature of Water release, His father Maki Hozuki was in charge of the clan and Jiro was his son.

Training

At a young age Jiro started his training to be a shinobi he trained directly from his father who was a village jounin of kirigakure at the time and was well respected and head of the Jiro clan which at the time consisted of around 30 members, Jiro training was real tough as his father was real hard on him during his training even beating him badly sometimes and leaving him with bad injuries often required to be healed by a medic.
He started his official training sessions at the age of 5, before he started the academy. At times, this training was rough, but Leonid somehow always made it through. He didn't even show a sign of sweat.

When Jiro was growing up he spent a lot of time with his cousin shin but shin family did not like shin hanging around with masamune because of the conflict within the family so after a while shin's family stopped shin for hanging with Jiro he never showed much emotion towards shin but he respected him and thought he had a bright future ahead of him. Jiro wanted to meet with his cousin shin once again one day.

Academy
At the age of 7, Jiro entered the academy. The other kids within the academy were scared of his so-called 'demonic traits' and avoided any possible contact with him. Jiro didn't seem to even bother caring, knowing that this was to be expected. Day in, day out, the same result happened, going through the schooldays without having any contact with the other students. This also includes not having anyone to spar with.

In the academy Jiro learn how to use basic ninjutsu which considered of walking on water, some basic chakra control and a body replacement jutsu, Jiro even found out what his dominant element was a teacher in the academy used a piece of special paper that would turn a certain color depending on which element the person had, it was placed upon Jiro's head and the color of the paper turned blue which he had the Dominant element of water, Jiro was proud to hear this as he could now begin his training in his clans ability of Water release.

Genin
At the age of 10, Jiro graduated from the academy, using his fighting ability to raise up from rank to rank, obviously starting at Genin. He was assigned to a squad; but even that squad avoided him at first. As time passed, they got used to Jiro's demonic traits and treated him like no other human being. During his time in that squad, he overcame death multiple times, though not landing into the hospital.

Jiro did lots of train using to control the use of his dominant element water in order to get precise control over it so he could use water jutsu's correctly, Jiro was lucky because his father was a jounin in the village his father took him into his squad so that he could be watched by his father while he trained and did village missions and assignments.

Jiro did a lot of missions and was doing really well with his training as Masamune now could do some water style jutsu's. Maki, Jiro's father was real pleased how far Jiro had become as a young shinobi and decided that he will enter his son for the chunin exams.

Chunin Arc

4 years later after his graduation, Jiro now being 14 years old, the Chuunin Exams were announced with a time limit to prepare for it. Jiro 's squad assembled for their daily training.
The squad sensei waiting patiently for each and every result of the Chuunin Exam parts. With every part they all succeeded, until the last part. The last part would be like a daily Shinobi life, putting their own lives on the line for succession, but the only one returning was Leonid . His two other squad members were killed in the midst of battle against the other squads, it being over before they all even noteworthy it. Jiro's katana was completely covered in blood; his usual smile not there anymore and his eyes looking like they only focus on the death of his squad members. His squad sensei wasn't happy with the result either. Afterwards, they retrieved both of the bodies to give them a proper funeral. Maki, Jiro's father was also not pleased with how things went and used his status within the village to cover up the event of what happened that day so that no one ever would know the event on this day.

Three years later after his promotion to Chuunin, Jiro had made it in the selection for the Jounin rank, which is pretty rare for a person to become a Jounin at the age of 17. These past three years, his usual smile had returned, having his katana sheathed and leaning over his shoulder while waiting for the results of the Jounin selection. Beside him were the other candiJiros for the Jounin rank. After a while,.a person walked by each and every person to tell them if they were raised in rank or remained the same. By the time the person stood in front of Jiro , the person nodded and said the word 'congratulations'; Jiro had officially became a Jounin at the age of 17. The next day of graduation, he got himself an own squad, completing missions the day after another, but this was after introducing themselves to each other.

Jounin

After Jiro became a jounin he was now in the Kirigakure, all the time Jiro spent in the village he still loathed his father for being so ruthless to him as a child, and was deeply conflicted about his mother's passive attitude and he just wanted to aim towards the achievement of his clans goals that were taught to him at a young age, which were to change the shinobi world by whatever means.

Jiro's father Maki was seriously ill with a unknown disease, the village medic were unable to treat what ever was causing Maki to become weaker and weaker, Maki was laid in his best and Jiro was at his fathers side on his final hour to be told by Maki that the future of the Jiro clan was now in Jiro's hands has he was chosen by his father to succeed him and talk over to be the head of the Jiro clan. Maki told his son that he loved him then upon one last breathe he died in his bed, Jiro shed tears near his father side and vowed to make his father proud and his clan proud the next day came and Maki's body was buried and a burial took place as the last of the old generation of Jounin had finally died.

Further Training Arc
Jiro wanted to train harder now to make his father proud and the clan proud so he started to train much harder and for longer hours each day, he trains for like 6 month solid while balancing his training with living and village mission duties until the day had come he could now use Wind jutsu well and the start of water techniques although he had just barely began to understand the clans Water release he could do basic forms of it.

Jiro now 20 when to the village Kage of Mist and requested a special leave of absence from the village he explained to the village kage that he needed to go see the world and learn new techniques that he could no longer do in the village at his point in his life in order to advance himself further he would need to strengthen his own wind element as he needed to have a complete balance of water and wind to make his Water work the best but the water overpowered the water so his boil jutsu was not hardly effective and was really weak.

The village kage took his request and took almost a week to respond but the kage agreed to letting Jiro go away from the village for an extended training journey.

While Jiro was on his journey he went to new places learn new techniques and even with much difficultly was able to get the perfect balance between Wind and water so he could use Water release effectively now Jiro had been absent from the village for now 4 years.

Something happened while Jiro was on his journey that made him snap and hate Kirigakure so decided to leave the village something was not the same within Jiro and vowed to get rid of Kirigakure.

While Jiro was on his journey he had learn t some truths about his past from an outsider who was once a Kirigakure village elder but had gone to retire but while Jiro was out training one day the old man had walked by and seen Jiro training his Water release which reminded him of a shinobi who had the same skill as Jiro in the village of Kirigakure, he then went on to tell Jiro about the man which turned out to be Jiro grand father the man went on to say how a great shinobi he was until the day happened and told Jiro about how the village had Jiro's grandfather killed because of his unique powers he was showing and they didn't like it so the village had plot set to have him killed and had managed to trap him and injure him but couldn't finish the job and Jiro's grandfather managed to escape but was badly injured and died some distance from the village, the man then took Jiro to his resting place of his grandfather to show him he was there. Jiro was angry this was the reason for him snapping with the fear that the same thing may happen to him once he returned to the village and swore revenge.

Jiro tried getting his revenge on Kirigakure after he launched a one man assult on the village but it was a failure as he was ambushed but managed to escape barely with his life.

Wondering around near Iwagakure he was badly injured as he collapsed to the ground in pain from the wounds he had suffered all over his body he would lay up near a rock, he tried his best to treat himself but he was no medic and he knew that but tried anyway to at least buy him sometime, the Iwagakure head medic shinobi Asako, who herself was outside Iwagakure getting medical supplies and such when she would have seen Jiro injured on the ground even if he was the enemy she still regardless of what he was which was a missing nin she still help him by staying by his side and treating his wounds, the two of them would grow ever closer as Jiro after that would move into the village with Asako, after that he spent a lot of time around the village helping out as the academy teacher even though it didn't help him much he still tried as he tried so ever hard to be closer to Asako. Jiro had heard about a war gonna be taking place in Kirigakure to retake it and try to attack the god of Kirigakure Jiros major enemy. Jiro was heading to port with his stuff with a big hate in his heart as Asako would run after him before the boat would head off and she would say I love you Jiro with that said he promised he would come back for her.

Jiro's trip would take longer than expected because of that the war was over before he could get there and it was all over there was nothing for him to hate anymore and now could return to Kirigakure the home of his father, grandfather and his now Jiro's clan. Jiro then headed back to Iwagakure for Asako then the two of them would head for Kirigakure and take refuge there with the permission of new misukage the two of them now where shinobi of Kirigakure Jiro was head jounin and Asako was now mad in love with Jiro and Jiro with her got married shortly after.

It had been a while of living in Kirigakure for Jiro he has done his duties as the village head jounin well in his opinion and had surely started to get in the good books of the villages again after he had been missing nin himself for a period of his life. Jiro had also been involved with the Mizukage Saito as well with the group known as Kaizen which were his own personally body guards and group that helped take Kirigakure back in the first place from the tyrant Kage,

More time then passed as Jiro began to saw what he first felt that the group kaizen and Saito was doing good for Kirigakure which in fact they were making it a worse place to live. The clans of the village were not getting the respect that they deserved, along with the villages and other ninja if they were not part of Saito inner circle they were left not knowing what was going on. This made Jiro start to question there motives Saito and his groups, but currently kept it to himself to see how it all played out.

Jiro also had changed a lot as a person in the time he had been back his temper was much calmer having done more missions and talked with the villages of the village including the genin of the village especially one known as Waruichi Yoichi it was a genin that he had a lot of respect for and for once saw the potential the kid had as a ninja.

His wife currently was not proud of the activity and danger Jiro was putting himself in so in the end she could not put up with the amount of stress and danger so she choose to return to Iwagakure to go back to her family she left behind and divorce Jiro as that was the best option on the table at hand for the both of them. Jiro was indeed up set with what had happened, but he couldn't sulk about it forever he had a village to watch as its head jounin.

Slowly and surely Saito's power in Kirigakure started to fade and his Kaizen group he had formed became much weaker than it had been in the past meaning Kirigakure was starting to show signs of weakness. In doing so the Konoha ninja known as Inokai took charge of Kirigakure from Saito using her mind abilities and basically gaining the power to be Mizukage at the same time. Jiro was not pleased with it since it was a Konoha ninja running the show now, but what could he do he did not have the support to over throw her or her puppet Saito who she was controlling. Jiro decided that she would have one chance to prove herself to him as they used to be partners in Kaizen for a time but never at any time would he ever fully trust her to have that much power and not abuse like wise for Inokai never trusting Jiro because of his past.

RP Sample: Some say, when the rooster crows its morning, for Zaraki that was a pipe dream, a lazy Sunday, a old man's slumber. He was up with the crows call home, before the sun even thinks of rising, he was up, getting ready. He washed his face, cleaned his sword, and stomped down the steps, his footfalls heavy and holding a reverberating thud. The air was still chilly, and fog was creeping in, he moved, his boots crunching on the ground from the late night frost. He slept well last night, didn't have any marching dreams, or what he called a soldiers waking nightmare. Where one marches all day and dreams of marching all night, that created a restless night. The fire was warm, and they had deer for dinner, tough, over cooked, but meat was better than broth and bread. Even as he moved towards camp, he could already see what was going on, the watch was changing, going from the late shift to the crack of dawn one. This would be the final watch for the remainder of the journey, something the men were thankful for. Already the bakers were up, there only job was to get up super early and prepare bread, they were the first ones up, and the last ones to leave camp, and the last to arrive at the new one. Such was the ways of war. They spoke softly, knowing that waking grumpy captains and such would always earn them a earful, they diligently worked. Zaraki wasn't looking for them, nor for the familiar smells of fresh bread, no he was looking for the camp master's tent, which was usually the farthest from the latrines. He made his way there, and was honestly surprised to see the man fully awake, ready and already issuing orders for basic structures and supplies to be taken down. He wasn't pleased by this notion, screaming at the man was on of his favorite morning rituals, but then again, this was the last day of marching, so no point in pushing the subject further.

In hushed whispers the man described the plan to move people out, waking the troops up last was always a gamble, either they complained it was too early, or they worked so slow they left by high sun, a choir they relished in doing. There were no bandits to watch out for, no wanton governments to bride, in all actuality, this pattern had grown mundane and unnecessary about a week ago, when they entered Land of Earth country. Still Zaraki didn't want to feel totally worthless, or rather he wanted to keep up with appearances, least people grow lax.

He made his way over to the latrines, taking some time to empty himself, before going over to a campsite and fulling himself full of water and two day old bread, hard and stale, it made breakfast all the more real. He looked around the camp once more, this would most likely be his final marching orders, ever, he was growing older, the ground was getting harder, the men complained and whined more, all those things begin to way a man down after a life like this. Sighing, he took a glance up at the ruins, before bellowing out orders.

"Get up you lazy good for nothings, if were not marching by the time the sun rises, the lot of ya will be eating bread into next year. NOW GET A MOVE ON" His words cried out, before moving to the next section and doing the same, he did this 8 times, just like every morning for the past year or so, like clockwork.

"Get ya tent's packed and loaded, we ain't got all day, put out those fires, for fucking sake clean ya god damn ears you mother fuckers, all I hear is bitching from whiny girls, now MOVE" He would scream, shouting at anyone and everyone who didn't look like they were going quite his speed. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the boss coming down and washing his face, he paid no real attention to it, save for it was the boss and all. It took about 15 minutes to get the entire camp up and slowly moving, they always crawled at a snails pace. It wasn't until that damn man used some fucking flashy moves that everyone panic's and starting moving as if snakes where in there pants. Damn him and his high strung ways, didn't he know how camps worked, how armies moved.

"Ya heard the man, were moving outs, now get the fuck going" he continued to shout, Zaraki's voice not even horse or tired yet, years of practice is how you get there, years and years of practice.
