Looks Description:
As if carved from marble by the Gods of Greek lore, Gambaldi's physical build is like a picture of perfection. He stands 6'4 and weighs 205lbs of solid well-toned muscle. His skin tone is white though slightly tanned, showing he is no stranger to being outdoors. He has broad shoulders which only adds to his regal bearing and attitude; his posture only simply exudes this. His eye brows are a little bushy and always look make him look as angry, which most times isn't the case. His voices is deep and commanding, making it an easy one to remember if heard or recognize if heard.
The most noticeable characteristic of Gambaldi is his eye color. His eyes are best described as being golden, dark yellow, and always have a mischievous yet relaxed look about them. In the light it almost appears as if they are luminescent. His teeth are perfectly white and his canine teeth are noticeably more pointed than the average person, giving him an feral almost wolfish look when he grins. His hair color is black and is shoulder length, slighter longer than it was in his youth. Gambaldi has no particular preference for a style, so for the most part it simply varies day to day.
He has a few minor scars on his body from incidents in his youth. What stands out the most is his large tattoo that spans from his chest, over both shoulders and halfway down his back. On both sides is a Japanese dragon, one black with white eyes the other white with black eyes. The two heads meet face to face on Gambaldi's chest. The black dragon's face is seen snarling as if ready to attack, while the white dragon's face appears calm and composed. Their long bodies go over the shoulders and travel down his back, both bodies never crossing as they create an "S" shaped pattern with the tails of both stopping at the center of the back; completely parallel to each other and mirroring each other's pattern. The tattoos is meant to serve as a balance, similar to the yin and yang concept. On his right arm, spanning from shoulder to elbow is the name " Gambaldi " the G being on the shoulder drawn in old English letters, while the other letters are in standard print. He has no tattoo on the left arm, yet.
Despite his humble upbringing, Gambaldi is a man who prefers to make appropriate first impression. Thus, his attire alone speaks just as much about himself as his actions does. His favorite color is black, which is pretty much the standard for all his clothing in terms of color. He prefers the more formal type of clothing as he will almost always wear a all black short-sleeved button up, fitting perfectly to his build; not to snug but not to baggy. Under this, should he decide to leave the button up unbuttoned, he wears an all black t-shirt that fits more snug than than button-up and smaller in size. Should the need ever arise, he will also wear a black short-sleeved leather jacket. On the leather jackets left arm, is his headband which is stitched on. The fit is much more loose than the rest of his attire and the jacket's length actually reaches down to the knee area. The jacket has no outside pockets, instead only have several inside pockets. The jacket itself, despite being leather, is fairly light and is loose enough to easily slip out of if the need arises.
Due to his lack of interest of being flashy, jewelry and such, the only noticeable accessory he has are his black leather gloves. The length of said gloves stop a few inches past the wrist and are durable enough to be worn even in fights. Though the leather is only slightly padded, it serves a more psychological purpose. With the slight padding, Gambaldi never feels the need to not commit to his punches. The little padding gives him the notion that his knuckles are protected from any major recoil from his punches. For example, if punching someone in the mouth. Gambaldi's concern of cutting his own hand on teeth decreases since his gloves will off some form of protection (Again its more psychological than actual protection like actual fighting gloves would grant. The gloves can still rip as easily as normal leather does.)
Maintaining his formal appearance, Gambaldi wears black dress pants. The pants are a perfect fit being not to baggy, but fitting to his size allowing room to deliver wide kicks and maneuverability without ripping the pants. However, it is hard to notice this fact by simply looking at said pants. To the untrained eye the pants look as if they restrict movements, which sometimes grants the element of surprise. Though his pants fit well enough to do without, Gambaldi still wears a typical black leather belt mostly for looks than actual need. His socks are black and reach just above the ankles. What perhaps stands out most in the outfit is Gambaldi's footwear. Rather than traditional patent leather shoes, his shoes are more like a boots and dress shoe hybrid. Smaller than your typical boots, but larger than traditional dress shoes, the shoes grant good manuerability while maintaining the formal appearance.
Gambaldi prefers to not wear headgear, simply out of personal preference. As stated previously, he doesn't like to wear jewelry and has no piercing
Personality Description:
As his appearance may suggest, Gambaldi is a calm, extremely cool, and collected individual. Being that he is the older sibling between him and brother, Hayato, he matured a lot faster since it fell to him to look after his little brother. Add in the factors that led to his time as a slave, the factors being his own mother and father, his wary nature is understandable. In terms of trust, he only does so if said individual has proven to be deserving. This leads to his take charge attitude when he feels no one else will get a task done. In this sense he may come off as a bit of a narcissist. In his mind he feels nothing is impossible for him, as such he makes light of even the most dire situations. It's this thinking that gives him the will and desire to push himself to greater heights, to have all the world recognize his greatness.
Gambaldi is one who firmly believes knowledge is power. Even when he gives off a facade as if he could careless about whats going on around him, he takes mental notes of the action and behaviors of his surroundings. This serves as a means to constantly keep people off balance, in a manner of speaking, when dealing with him. Luring them into a false sense of security just to capitalize on their awareness of his unpredictability. On the flip side, he does not assume that others are inferior to him. He believes all people have potential and talent, even if they aren't showing it. As such, Gambaldi does not underestimate those around him; even if his outward attitude doesn't suggest that. He gives his all in whatever he sets his mind to. Simply put he is a thinker and very sensitive to his surroundings, he prefers to put on a front that he doesn't.
When on his down time, he is a very fun person to be around. Though he will still be a bit of a jerk, those that get know him see he enjoys celebrating anything. He cherishes thr friendships he has gained and isn't shy around new people, often treating them as if he'd known them for years. He is extremely loyal to his village and friends, always willing to stand up for both. The few times where he will show anger is when either are threatened and will challenge anyone who dares wish his home or family harm. Though he will only kill if doing so will completely eliminate the main issue at hand.

History:
"These are the tales that I tell so well..."
Gambaldi was born as the first child to parents whom he thought adored him. A year after, Hayato was born to this same loving family. Life was good for the boys. They held little care about the world, to them this place with there parents was a utopia. Sadly, this would not last. Gambaldi was the one who discovered his parents true colors. He would sometimes catch them, without being caught, abusing drugs and even seeing his mother sell herself for money. Such was the harsh reality of the two boys circumstance, something Gambaldi always hid from his little brother. However, it would only get worse when the day came for them to be taken away. The parents that Gambaldi trusted with his life, being to young to know any better despite what he had seen, had sold their two sons into slavery. Emotions ran wild as Gambaldi tried beg for help, only to his parents turn their back on him.
The next chapter of their life was filled hard labor, poor food quality, sleeping on the hard ground, and daily beatings. Gambaldi, whom had vowed to protect the only true family he had left, often received beatings by interfering when Hayato was involved. Incidentally, they caught the attention of another slave, a man who had lost his freedom when had tried to free the slaves. He noticed that the two brothers were not broken spirited like the other slaves. This lead to the boys eventually learning from the old slave. It was he that pushed the "knowledge is power" concept on the boys.
When the time came, Gambaldi had secretly rallied the other slaves to cause a mass rebellion. During the confusion, the brothers and their mentor cut down all who stood in their path. They made their way to the nearest Kumogakure, and parted ways with thier mentor. Gambaldi recalled the skills of the ninja that he had seen, and wanted that for himself. It wouldn't take long before they were able to explain their situation to the authorities. From there the boys were given a small one home, and at the brothers request, get enrolled in the academy. After only a year, Gambaldi being 15 at the time, the two graduated and earn the right to be called shinobi. The same day he and his brother took the last name Raionhato, which meant "Lionheart". With nothing to his name aside from the skills he learned and a heart full of ambition, Gambaldi vowed to establish a name for himself. He would one day get revenge for what was done to him and his brother, and become known as the greatest shinobi to ever have lived.
The years to follow were filled with challenging missions and gruelling tests of will. He and his brother earned respect and honor amongst the villagers and their peers. The two had adopted the insignia of a black lion to represent themselves and soon the nickname "Black Lions" was born. By the time the boys were chuunin, they had earned renown even outside of the borders of Kumo. Slavers feared the name of the brothers as they took revenge for their there past and freed those that currently suffered that fate. However with so much violence in the boys wake, a specific group of slavers set a trap for the brothers. The result being the death of Hayato and Gambaldi barely making it out alive. Filled with rage Gambaldi left Kumo to hunt down those responsible, spending the majority of his years as a jounin on the task.
At the age of 22 he had not only found the culprits of his brothers murder, but also greatly reduced the percentage of slave trading in Kumo to nearly zero. As a reward he was given the title of Anbu and also, as a show of gratitude, dismissed the fact he had been disregarding his duties as a Jounin. Since that day, Gambaldi took a more hands-on approach within the village. Though he still had not started his clan, he had earned some prestige and could see his dream slowly unfolding before him.

- Post From A One Piece Site:
Is that what that lame little speech was about in the tunnel," Sebastian with a grin. Bar Fairy was turning out to become a greater disappointment the more he spoke. Rather than interrupt his little rant, Sebastian allowed him to finish. He went on about how choices had consequences and how it could get the group killed. The elder Belmonte folded his arms and listened. Perhaps the bottle wielding pirate assumed Sebastian to be the type to care. Not since his youth when he butted heads with Matron, the owner of the orphanage he was from, had anyone bothered to lecture him. However, just like hers, Ranei's words meant next to nothing to the callous pirate. A yawn escaped his mouth during this rant as he scanned the room.
The basement itself was fairly small in comparison to the last basement he was in. Likely because this place wasn't a bar, which meant it was the pirates home or hideout, whichever fit the description best. By the time Ranei began inquiring about Claudia, Sebastian was already walking away from the man and approached a shelf full of miscellaneous crap. The shelf itself was maybe a few feet away from the staircase leading up to the main floor, and there was nothing but broken items or weapons that none likely cared for. Suddenly, a clamor of feet moving overhead filled the little basement stealing Sebastian attention until Bar Fairy began ranting again. "I TOLD HIM WHAT THE FUCK I WANTED," Sebastian shouted finally, unable to deal with the bitching from Ranei. As he spoke he turned his attention to the basement steps and watched with anticipation as more fools piled down the stairs. They all brandished their guns, ready to fire at a moments notice, and the apparent leader felt this was enough safety for him to make speeches. Behind the leader was the scrub he let live, Sebastian only glared at the snitch. The snitching pirate's face turned pale at the look, knowing full well what would happen to him should things not go according to plan.
As the enemy captain went on with his little introduction or whatever, he manage to spill the beans on Sebastian's previous deeds with setting the bar on fire. Once again Bar Fairy began his bitchin and moaning about a deal. Now Sebastian patience was spent, "SHUT THE FUCK UP, BAR FAIRY" he began still looking directly at the enemy captain. "The marines in the freezer should be fine. Can't say the same for the ones that tried to rescue them, though. In any case, I did not break my fucking word. So stop crying. Hopefully Claudia didn't die in the process, I suppose killing this entire island would make up for that," he chuckled as he glanced out the corner of his at Ranei, "Such is the price for harming my nakama." The look alone showed exactly the sort of man Sebastian was. If these fools thought that Sebastian T. Belmonte was the sort that played nice, then more the fools they all were. Sebastian wanted to be the most feared and powerful name on the sea, and if he met his death following this path then so be it. All that have ever sailed under the ambitious captain knew this was his way, because he knew no other. And for those same select few, he would gladly take the lives of anyone if it meant saving the their lives and his own.
Before Sebastian could say more, Bar Fairy and the young pirate Chiba sprang into action first. Ranei had pulled some other device from his repertoire and the kid had snatched up one of the beat down pirates and tossed him into the mob. Matching the timing, the last member to join this little group, Vergo avoided a slash by turning into a bunch of balls. Between the three distractions, Sebastian had ample time to respond to the 11 men intruding on this sorry excuse of an escape attempt. Wasting little time, Sebastian knocked over the shelf he was still standing next to. Not heavy enough to hurt anyone, the shelf offered an even greater window of escape for the group. As the shelf fell, Sebastian leaped over it once it was on top of the last 5 that weren't hit by the guy Chiba threw. Fear in his eyes, the snitching pirate made a dash for the stairs though Sebastian easily caught up and grasped the man by the head. Several shots were fire, though only one had hit to the shoulder of Sebastian before he turned around still holding the body of the snitch, who took the remaining shots. The snitch cried out in pain as the firing stopped, "Captain, stand the fuck down or the crybaby over there will use that bomb of his to blow all of us the fuck up," Sebastian shouted, smiling as he spoke. The captain, being such a loyal man to his nakama, called for the cease fire. "Just what the hell do you guys even want," the enemy captain asked. "Were just passing through, your men were foolish enough to attack us first after we got a little lost. In a sense, your actually the aggressors in this situation captain Nobody," Sebastian said with a laugh, still holding up the bleeding man as protection. Sebastian thanked the seas that the snitch was passed out from the pain of being shot so many times, least this little lie would end fairly quickly.
Sebastian continued, "If you know me, then you know I am also a doctor. Meaning that when I say this kid needs to get bandaged up quickly or he will die, I mean it. If you and your men put down your weapons, I'll call off Bar Fairy and his kamikaze attempt and you can tend to this fool. The choice is yours, but I give you my word that if you choose to keep this bullshit going; I will kill every last one of you. Starting with you, Captain Nobody." Sebastian smile had faded as his entire crazed demeanor was switched with one just as sinister. He wanted these fools to choose to fight, such a thing was what the Belmonte lived for after all.
The enemy captain remained silent as he and Sebastian locked eyes. Sebastian could tell the man wanted nothing more than to end his life, but the situation had changed for the worse. What Sebastian did not know was that the passed out snitch was the brother of this captain, giving the crazed man even more leverage than he knew. "Go to hell, Belmonte," the captain said. Sebastian mischievous grin returned, "You first, Nobody." Seething with anger the captain waved his hand and his men laid down their arms. "That's a good boy," he said, still holding the body as a shield.
Sebastian looked at Bar Fairy, who likely had more complaints to make. "Is there more you wish to cry about, or can we leave this place that YOU brought us to," he said with a grin, pointing out the fact the entire reason they were in this situation was because of Ranei's own lead. "If not, stand down and watch how a captain does it."
