Bloodline Ability: The Crystal Release (晶遁, Shōton; English TV "Crystal Style") is a rare and specialised field of elemental ninjutsu that can create crystal as well as manipulate already-existing crystals and crystalline structures.

- According to rumours that Tsunade had heard, Crystal Release can crystallise any substance,[3] thus, earth, water, and wood techniques are useless against it.[1] Using crystal ninjutsu, the user can crystallise any physical material and even the moisture in the air around them, turning them into a weapon. In the case of human targets, Crystal Release can solidify its targets down to the cellular level, imprisoning and even killing the victim should the crystal ever be struck, reducing the mass of crystal and the victim down to crystalline dust.
The Crystal Release, though powerful, has two known weaknesses, the first being that it cannot crystallise either raw energy or chakra as they have no physical mass to crystallise, allowing a person with either energy-based techniques, such lightning, fire, wind, or good chakra control to properly counter it. The second weakness of Crystal Release is that it is susceptible to a specific sound wave frequency; because crystal requires a very precise build-up of molecules, the proper sound waves can break down the build-up before the crystal can properly form.

- The Haton style comes in the form of black crystallized substances, that may otherwise be broken down into tiny sand like grains. And at other times be used to form different shapes according to what the Suishou clan member is trying to accomplish. The Suishou clan members are able to produce and manipulate dark Crystals using a mixture of the Earth element and their own unique genetic build up. They can use the earth's minerals in order to produce more crystals on a larger scale. The crystals can manifest in several ways which allows for a lot of versatility. What makes the Crystals truly unique is the fact that it seems to be apart of the clan members body. This allows them to harden their bones using the dark Crystal underneath their skin. This unique trait can aide a clan member in defensive situation, where their body will become so hard. That certain weapons and even jutsus at times may find it difficult to pierce their crystallized armor underneath their skin. They can also have the dark Crystals materialize on the outer layer of their body for further manipulation. This normally comes into the form of steel hard spikes being protruded from just about everywhere on the body. The Suishou Clan member bones hold a certain secret which is thought to be their greatest asset in battle. It is called Naimen Ran 内面蘭 or "Inner Orchid". It is a condition that all members have but only few are capable of using.
Within the endosteum of their bones are small dark crystals known as Suishō no Me 水晶の芽 or "Crystal Buds" that act like storage facilities in the chakra network and take small bits of chakra from the clansmen. The chakra is used by these crystals in order to grow like a flower and over years more grow and more chakra is stored. This phase is called Ran no Shutsuga 蘭の出芽 or "Budding Orchid". These crystals remain dormant and unusable for years continuously collecting bits of chakra allowing them, in theory, to have incredible amounts of chakra or a rather large reserve of Chakra naturally. Think Naruto/Kisame. For most members this is the only stage of Naimen Ran that they will ever be capable of using. Although there are a few members that are capable of drawing this auxiliary chakra out in what is known as the second stage. Can store an S-rank amount of Chakra in crystal buds to use at a later date.
During the Ran no shutsuga stage, not only will the crystals bloom and grant the clan member the chakra to use at their disposal. Those very crystals will aid in the creation of Ninjutsu and Taijutsu techniques. The crystals can then be manipulated in order to form the desired technique along the way. The bones and body itself will be strengthened, making it more difficult to cause harm to the Suishou clan member.
Ran no Kaika 蘭の開花 or "Blooming Orchid" is considered to be the second state of the Naimen Ran. Ran no Kaika is the state in which the user's body forcefully breaks down their "Crystal Buds" in order to draw out the chakra stored with in allowing the user to use the chakra for a short period of time thus temporarily giving them capabilities that surpass the average shinobi and give them the power that dubbed them the dwellers of the abyss or the abyssal ones. As anyone can imagine, a Suishou clan member is granted speed, strength, stamina and chakra. At the height of their Rank no Kaika, a Suishou clan member speed and strength can be compared to someone with Master Taijutsu. Their Chakra and stamina would have increased, but not without a cost which is explained below. At this stage, the Chakra capacity of a Suishou clansman increases, which lends to their naturally large Chakra reserves. This grants them an additional 1 B rank amount of Chakra.
In order to unlock this stage. A 1k word training session must be done. If one were to register as a Chuunin or above in rank, then this stage is gained automatically.
Ran no Kaika leads into Mankai no Ran 満開の蘭 or "Orchid in Full Bloom" which gives the user the capabilities to alter their bodies from the inside out and show the strongest state of Naimen Ran in which their inner Orchid has bloomed completely and their power is at the highest it shall ever be but it undoubtedly brings their bodies to a state of self destruction. Mankai no Ran is considered to be the Suishou's last resort and is only used when the enemy must surely die! Mankai no Ran can kill the clansmen. It is similar to the Hachimon in this aspect.
Mankai no Ran- (Orchid in Bloom)
The Mankai no ran state grants the Suishou clan member extraordinary powers, and as such they’re known to be described as demons. This state as explained will allow the clan member to alter the state of their bodies. The dark crystals inside their body will come to the surface through their bores, and completely darkens the body. The change of appearance may vary from clansman to clansman. Some may go as far as to call them a byproduct of a Demon, but is not always the case. Their Chakra Capacity would have increased further giving them an additional 1 A rank amount of Chakra.
Requirement: One must be at least Jounin level and must do a 1.5k Word training to achieve this stage.
Guidelines-
The mankai no ran can only be sustained for 10 posts (user’s posts). Anything beyond this and the clan member will tap into the final stage and their body will break down, which will result in death. Great power for a Suishou clan member comes at a great cost no doubt.
Ran Kare (pronounced in Spanish "to rip off") 蘭枯れ or "Wilting Orchid" is the final state in which the body is at its limits and the stored chakra has finally run out as a result the clansman's body will begin to break down other important minerals through out the body weakening the user and causing death. The Suishou clansman automatically drifts into this state if they maintain the Mankai no ran stage beyond the recommended time.
But a few who train their Naimen Ran can learn how to float between Ran no Kaika and Mankai no Ran and avoid this state but not all or so fortunate. If one uses Naimen Ran at a young age (15 and below) they will surely die, if one can not control their Suishou no Me they will die, if they can not moderate their chakra they will die, and if they do not learn to controls themselves and their bodies they were surely die. Naimen Ran grants the member extraordinary power but at a hefty price.
Clan History: Something that had originally started with one user blossomed into something that had a great deal of users within the world. Contrary to popular belief, Guren had not been the first individual to utilize Crystal release, there had been a large family within Kiri that had specialized in the field before they were crippled in number by the genocides. There was also a clan within Kumo who had specialized in Crystal Release. So getting the first person to ever use the specialized field of ninjutsu is quite difficult if not impossible.
