So i had this thought and i just figured out how to put it into words. In my personal belief, this site is a site based on stats, and its missing numbers. all the CS buffs, and jutsu that buffs its skills, its numbers. I can tell that stats werent wanted to be used, but in an essence, they still are, just replaced with words. So let me put it into a concept that fully utilizes these skills and numbers with ease.
Basic= 1.5x
adept= 2.0x
master= 2.5x
now to me these look like stat buffs, do they not? but what are the complete base stats of the ranks? No one really knows. This is what im proposing, we add in those base stats, that are unchanged, that can not be edited for simplistic purposes, and to truly set the ranks apart in skill. Here is my idea:
Genin (D) = 1
Chuunin (C) = 2
Special jounin (B) = 3
Jounin/Anbu (A) = 4
Kage (S) = 5
and id like to propose a rank past kage.
(possible names?) (S+ or SS) = 6
you see these would be so simple to adjust buffs to, and allow room for making even more templates for things that are wanted, like LRA and such, which not only would increase speed, but strength as well. it would only increase by the base stat, and itd be easy to follow. Same for gates. Now im not saying these are the best of numbers, and it is more than subject to change. but lets use tai.
basic tai genin = 1 x 1.5 = 1.5 speed and strength
vs
no skill tai chuunin = 2 x 1 = 2 speed and strength
now between you and me a chuunin is much stronger than a genin, especially going based off of rank, but, as staff would probably want it, a genin might be faster. Lets change the numbers slightly.
genin = 2 x 1.5 = 3
chuunin = 3 x 1 = 3
is that better? or would you prefer to go in multiples of 0.5?
genin = 1.5 x 1.5 = 2.25
chuunin = 2 x 1 = 2
this would make would make the genin slightly faster. but heres another issue.
genin adept = 1.5 x 2 = 3
chuunin basic = 2 x 1.5 = 3
how would this be solved? i have no idea. Thats why this is a discussion, but a more proper system such as this needs to be integrated for a better understanding.
thoughts are more than welcome.
