She then began to put on each article of clothing delicately and smoothly. She liked it when her clothing wasn't too messy or dirty. She left the bathroom with sparkles in her eyes, she would finally complete missions on her own. Not that she didn't like doing them with people, in fact, she preferred it that way. But when your sensei is also the Mizukage, you'll have to get used to doing missions alone or waiting when he's available. Aerie just didn't want to wait for him to be available or disrupt his work.
Aerie didn't want to disrupt Wyte's rest so she exited her home silently, after adjusting her sword onto her back. As she wandered through town, she noticed that the people were just as lively as before. She was happy people weren't stuck inside because of sandstorms or always away because of elite missions. She ventured through town to reach the one destination that housed missions: the bulletin board. It was a way that people could request help instead of filing paperwork at the Mizukage's office or walking through town asking for help. Once she reached said area, she noticed plenty of other ninja taking requests from the board and running off with their squads or simply by themselves. They were so excited to be ninja and it put a smile on Aerie's face. She just loved inspirational things like that.
She grabbed a request from the board and it read...
" Me and m' buddies need help over by the docks. We need out docks cleaned and someone to help us gather bait. Not t' mention that we'll need someone to deliver the fish to the three markets in town. "
Aerie grew bright eyed. It was a big task, which was great because it had good pay and it would help them a lot. She jumped up and down and quickly ran to the docks. " Alright, lets have some fun! " She would say, her typical catch phrase. Sure, cleaning wood and digging for worms aren't the cleanest nor funnest tasks, but they will contribute to supplying food for everyone in the village. So Aerie doesn't mind as long as she is doing it for the greater good. Once she arrived, the wooden docks were occupied by three fishermen that stood right in the tar. Fortunately, they all had boots covering their legs and feet. But what does aerie get?
" Hi, I'm here for the jobs. " Aerie would say, greeting the three men. They seemed puzzled once they laid eyes on Aerie, as if it was a surprise she was the one that answered their request. Aerie had a feeling the looks on their faces had something to do with her own looks. " Sorry if I don't fit the part, I'm just trying to help out. Besides, I can do these task with ease! " She'd shout with great optimism and spirit. They turned and looked at each other for a few moments and turned back to Aerie. " Well, " The first one began. " We need the help and we don't know your strength and skill so why not? " He asked, rhetorically. Aerie simply nodded in agreement. One of the other men tossed some muddy, tarred up boots at the girl. Luckily she spotted it or her red shirt would have muck all over it. She caught the boots by the top and tossed them to the ground. She put her shoes on one of the wooden poles they attached the docks to the lake floor. She stepped into the shoes. The shoes made it look like she was a little girl hopping into her father's work boots. One of the men chuckled and held a hose in front of her.
" Use this to spray away the tar while we go look for a great digging spot for worms. " He said, handing it to her and following his fishing comrades to find a digging spot nearby. Aerie cringed a little, hoping the mid and tar didn't spray or touch her or else it wouldn't come out of her clothes. Using the spray hose, the blue haired genin began to wash away the thick muck the was in between each plank and the muck and moss underneath the docks. It may be a D Rank mission, but it's still pretty difficult without any water or hardcore wind element jutsu. The tar probably appeared as the waves hit the docks and harbors. That then caused a lot of the dirt and dead anime residue to stick to the wood. The tar could have also come from pits of old underwater volcanoes.
As Aerie began to finish her cleaning duties, the men arrived from their search. " There's ah spot around the corner. Bobby and Jim already began digging. Oh, and nice work on yer cleanin'!" He's complement her. He waved her over as he began to walk to their next destination. Aerie dropped her tools and followed with a light jog. The man handed her a shovel as they reach the area. The other two were already tirelessly digging and every worm they came across ended up in their tackle box. Aerie squatted down, without touching the dirt, and began to dig with the small shovel. She would giggled as the worms would squirm so adorably between her thumb and index fingers. Once she and her fisherman pals finished digging for worms and their tackle boxes were filled, they returned to the docks.
As the the group returned to the now clean docks, the men sat at the edge of the docks with their individual tackle boxes and began fishing. " Come back in about an hour, missy, " Jim said. " We'll have a whole bunch o' fish for yer to carry to the markets for us!" He had already began to pull on his fishing pole. It seemed they were already catching fish quickly. Aerie nodded and trotted away into the city to warn the markets. She figured it would be a good idea if they knew she would be arriving to deliver fish later. As she waited a short distance away from the docks, the blue haired kunoichi began to do push-ups and the lot so that she'd be pumped up to carry the fish. She lifted cats, did push-ups, and jogged. Once she finished preparing for the long haul of fish, she returned to the docks once more to not only deliver the fish, but to also receive her payment. " Here yer go. " Clyde said, tossing three medium sized crates into three separate red wagons. Sure, wheeling isn't as hard as carrying, but the weight of the crates and the smell of the fish could be a bit overwhelming. The fishermen thanked Aerie for her deeds and handed her the ryo. She cringed because the sack of golden coins was a bit muddy. She tossed it into her ninja pouch and waved a single hand seal that was commonly used for the clone technique. She summoned two adorably comical clones of herself. They already knew what their task would be and latched on to the handles of the wagons and began to pull them through the streets.
As the used their embarrassing strength to wheel the wagons to each market, people chuckled and giggled at them from afar. The stench of the fish was repulsive, but they had a duty to accomplish and so they did it. The to of blue haired kunoichi arrived at each food filled destination with beads of sweat running down their adorable heads. The market owners would give them water to cool them down and towels to wipe their sweat. " Thank you! " the three of them would say in unison at each market. Whey would quickly devour the water as if they were breathing it. When the three wagons were completely unloaded, the two clones poofed in a cloud of smoke and the information of their struggle and despair transferred into Aerie's mind. She simply shook her hair forcing a slight smile.
After the long day of work, Aerie arrived home and instantly flopped onto her twin bed.
