Looks Description: Shikauhachi has indeed been born of the Nara clan having the spiky black hair that is often untamed. To complement his handsome features his killer grey eyes rest within his face, filled with a warmth and kindness but to those whom stand as foe see nothing but a glare of death eluding from behind the mask he wears.  However, though he has a handsome feature its hidden behind the white fo ANBU mask he wears, as his identify must be kept secret.  With the black rode he domes he stands at an average height of 6’0 with a weight of 235 made of pure muscle, as he is always training to keep his body at tip-top shape, he appears to be a bringer of death.



Personality Description:
Shikauhachi, like many of his clansman, has a strong sense of duty above all else. Since his birth it has always been installed in him to never show your weakness and to always protect those whon you love and care for, so he carries himself in an aristocratic manner. With his families teaching the young heir learned to prides himself in upholding the way of the shinobi. Many people whom know of his families’ history and the noble blood that fills his veins often will take him to be one that always silent but yet calculating . However, as the leader of the Anbu His demeanor is one of a cool, calm, confident, and always under control of his situations and surrounding, even if it may not appear as if he is.

He is one to find the need to talk wasteful; unless he finds the need for him to do so to quail useless arguing and fighting among his peers, students, or  subordinates,. When he does speak a soft-spoken intellectual voice flows from his rose colored lips. As his speaks, in such a soft yet powerful manner, his high level of exceptionally intelligent and great deal of foresight in combat, life, situations, and a number of other areas is seen as he is always thinking of how today’s decision will affect tomorrow, but more so how his clan and village will be effected. He takes most situations serious unless it has been shown to be something he classifies as nonsense. He is a man that can hold his ego being a man of long lasting patience, which is seen in his battle style and in his leadership style when he was a squad leader on several missions. He is a man of action, power, and authority and knows how to handle things, and is pretty understanding of anything but that may not mean he will support it as he is a strong believer of law and order over justice, but deep down he will always believe that the right thing must be done, even at the expense of the laws in order to reach a much higher ideal of peace.
Though he isn't big on large displays of public affections he can be quite affectionate. Kind, sympathetic and caring Shikauhachi is extremely dedicated to his clan and his village. Some will call him extremely loyal, and they wouldn't be wrong in the slightest however he isn't without his share of problems; he doesn't express his emotions very well and it usually takes a great frustration or nonsense, in his eyes, to coax it out of him. Shikauhachi also does his share of brooding, mulling things over and analyzing situations...sometimes over analyzing them, because as stated before, in his mind, every decision has its consequences.

Though underneath all that there is darkness in him, that in not seen due to his peaceful nature. As he grew, he killed numerous enemies, and seen much bloodshed in his lifetime. Through the wars that he fought, were fought in silence among the evening glow of the moonlight, as to keep from breaking the treaty of the great Naruto.
Shikauhachi is quite the manipulator with his words and actions that not many can tell when he is using them for a greater cause or really confiding within them. With this strong skill of persuasion he has developed a deep rooted lack of trust in anyone, except for a select few. He shows them honor but to gain his respect is a very difficult task, which only few have done thus far.

Shikauhachi has inherited the passions of his fathers to seek perfection and excel above all others. With a mind that is like his father’s it is always racing with a hunger for more knowledge so that he can be perfect. Once he has mind set on something he will do anything to master it, to gain it, or to understand it no matter what the cost may be, unless it will cost him his life or the life of those he sworn to protect. A mind that is always running and racing and his drive for mastery has given him much earned respect with his peers and other members within the world, being recognized as one of most powerful ninja of this age.

In combat, his strategic mind works faster than the rest of his body and gives him great advantages in battles against peoples whom rush into battle. Shikauhachi thinks ninety percent of the time by analyzing the situation carefully, and always thinking ahead so that he doesn’t end up doing something rash or stupid that could cost someone there life. He believes every move should be done in order to force his opponent into a position favorable to Shikauhachi, or in order to make a mistake. A defense or attack for the sake of defense or attack, is a waste of action and energy in his opinion. However, contrary to that thought process, Shikauhachi’s actions are ten percent improvisation; his training with his clansman and sensei Kagato taught him the value of thinking on his feet and to react by gut instinct. While Shikauhachi does not use that method as much as his teacher does, it comes in handy every now and again.

History:
Shikauhachi Nara was born into the Nara clan, during a harsh winter on the night of December 21st, to Enzo Nara and Kanisawa. At birth, his grandfather Shikamen Nara; the current head of the Nara Clan noted that instantly that Shikauhachi was a very special child. As most men within the family are donned with the Shika in their name so was this family tradition passed onto the newest member of the Nara Clan. His name was picked by his grandfather and with pride his father named the young male heir Shikauhachi.  

Shikauhachi began reaching feats that normal babies would not have done until they were much older. With an IQ that seemed to be far greater than any Nara clan member before him. His father was quite impressed with how quickly his was advancing in knowledge, and knowing how he was when he was younger couldn’t help but to be a bit proud of his seconds born child and first born son, already having had a girl that was already in the academy.  One day, after having tended to the deer his older sister was playing with a puzzle before she rushed off to go play with her friends. At the age of 3 he walked up to the 1000 piece jig saw puzzle that rested on the table. Looking at the box, the scattered pieces, and his mother standing in the doorway he reached for one of the pieces. However, with just five minutes passing by, he was soon just mindless walking around the clan complex. He soon found a shady spot and plopped down with his head falling into his hand. His mother walked in the room and then called for him to come inside. With an annoying looking he rose and did what she ordered and returned indoors. Once he was within the four walled abode his mother asked if he felt the puzzle was too hard for him to solve. He looked at her with a blank face before turning towards the scattered pieces. He just shrugged his shoulders and said, "It looked too easy so I didn't feel like doing it." 10 minutes later, it was complete.

Shikauhachi had a very normal childhood growing up on his families vast lands, which included a forest full of deer. He had begun to show feats way beyond his years. He had mastered walking and talking at a very young age, being one of the youngest Nara clan members to ever develop so quickly. The news of Shikauhachi’s rapid growth caught the eyes of the Clan Elders, and they figured it was time to test the boys’ intelligence. The word was sent to his father, that his son was being summoned, being the youngest within the Nara clan to ever reach this stage. His father was quite impressed with how quickly his was advancing in knowledge, and knowing how he was when he was younger couldn’t help but to be a bit proud of his first born son.
However, he waited about a week before responding to his fathers’ request. With time winding down, after having tended to the deer, the three year old and his father had begun a journey to the Nara Clans Temple, home of the Clan Elders, within the center of the Nara Forest. As the journey had begun, his father quickly sped up losing him within the vast forest. Shikauhachi was left alone, with nothing but the silence of the trees around him. He first began to cry, hoping his father would hear him but no one came to his aid, but the deer heard his plea. He found a soothing comfort from the deer, developing a connection that gave him the courage to travel forward. Wiping his tears from his eyes the young Nara member had begun his journey, using this new found strength and courage he overcame many of the hidden obstacles. It took him about ten minutes to find the clans leaders’ home, where he saw his father standing in wait. It was determined by his grandfather that he was indeed a very special child, and that he was ready to learn of the clans’ secret ability.

Academy Arch:
His training with his grandfather and father was quite intense, yet a bit slowful as the men tend to get a tad bit lazy at times within this one year training. Firstly he taught Shikauhachi what it means to be a Shinobi, and that the first priority is to protect the people who can’t protect themselves. Secondly, he taught Shikauhachi what is known as the Shinobi Tactics; Taijutsu, Genjutsu and most importantly Ninjutsu. Though this came as a surprise, he already knew of Ninjutsu but hadn't been sure what it was used for as his parents had taught him about the Shinobi world so that he could live a normal life. His Grandfather however was the one to teach him of the Nara clan hidden jutsu. "Living a normal life is boring. Shinobi's are strong, and are fearless. Normal people have to live their life with the fear that one day we won’t be here to protect them." those were the exact words of his grandfather when arguing about Shikauhachi' future and sometimes laziness.

After several months of teaching Shikauhachi about being a Shinobi, they moved unto actual jutsus. At first they started small, beginning the training with a chakra control drill. At first Shikauhachi failed drastically, only due to his sometimes being too lazy or not finding it worth his time, but after several times it became almost a second nature to him after being scolded a few times by his mother. But as he finished the rounds of the chakra training, it was about time for Shikauhachi to enter the Academy. Because of all the teaching, Shikauhachi was ahead in everything often passing tests with flying colors. He even surprised his sensei by performing a modified rope untying technique using only his chakra to rip through the ropes, a technique he created while trying with his Grandfather. Continuing on, he trained as hard as he could and soon mastered the Transformation Skill and even the Body switch skill. But the jutsu he was most praised upon was his clone skill, in which he mastered at the age of six. But the surprising thing about this wasn’t that fact that he could do the jutsu, but was how he did it. During the final exams of the Academy, he was asked to do the Clone Skill. As the people watched him, he created five exact clones of himself, while also using his shadow jutsu to do so. After passing the exams, Shikauhachi graduated from the academy becoming a genin, at the age of seven and was placed on a 4-man team with his close friend Yachimaru Kechi, Ranpu Omori, and Tastue Misa being the Jounin leader.

Genin Arc:

During the years Shikauhachi was a Genin, he and his team were assigned to various missions. During this time, the training with his grandfather picked u, not by much, and they moved on from chakra training to just learning about the different kinds of jutsus. Shikauhachi wasn’t too fond of having to train and would convience his grandfather to just play a simple strategy game of wits. Unlike other Genin who were dying to just go on higher rank mission he was just fine with the simple ones, hoping that most of his mission would be centered on lower rank missions.

As the years went by, Shikauhachi continued during his low ranked missions and was even awarded two B-ranked missions. Though these missions were small, and mostly revolved around carrying a document to other countries. One of the countries he visited with his team was in fact the village known as Sunagakure no sato or commonly herds as The Hidden Sand Village. There he met with several shinobi, and learned a lot about the country, but the most interesting thing he learned was of his mothers history and her brother, Gaara of the Desert. He was quite intrigued to know more about his mothers’ family, as she seemed to speak of it often, and he found himself wondering around. After wandering around, he managed to find one of his cousins whose father was Kankurou, a master of the puppet jutsu. The young clan men spoke with the boy, until they discovered they were cousins and he went to meet his uncle for the first time. His uncle was quite shocked to see him so young, and so talented and far within his ninja training and instructed him to tell his mother to visit once and a while.  When the mission was over, Shikauhachi and his team headed back to their respectful village and told their parents about the mission.

Chunnin Exam Arc:

Team Misa, a year later were recommended to compete in the next chunnin exams. Though at first, it seemed as if their Jounin leader was having seconds thought, that is until Kagato stepped in and told him straight. "They are to participate in the Exams, and they are going to do it now." As the exams neared, Shikauhachi' was starting to play shogi instead of physical training, which caused his teammates to became greatly upset with him. The days were going by faster then ever and as the exams got closer day after day, it was apparent that Team Misa wasn’t ready or at least the other members thought so due to Shikauhachi having missed a few of there training sessions just to play a few games.. The exams were to take place in Suna, meaning the team had to travel to reach the stadium.

The first exam was easy, all the team had to do was take a written exams in which like Konoha's forced the user to cheat. Using a shadow viewing technique he was able to discover the answers, though he knew most of them but he just didn’t want to over think or use too much brain power, Shikauhachi managed to make it through to the final round. There, Shikauhachi was forced to fight against his own cousin and; Kechi. The fight started out exactly, each showing moves that no one had ever seen them shown. It at one point got to the point in which Shikauhachi was appearing to be losing, but was in fact setting the stage to end the battle. However, his cousin had pulled off an impressive move and with barely any chakra left, Shikauhachi thought to end it. But when it came down to the finishing blow, he didn’t want to waste the last bit of chakra he had left and instead gave up. The team managed to make it through the exams, each of them achieving the rank of Chunnin, him being the youngest at age 8 years old. Though it seemed that because of Shikauhachi respect, determination, analytical, and quick thinking during the match.

It was during the exams that the Hokage approached him informing the young man that he saw much talent within him, inspite of his laziness at times and offered to him the chance to join the ranks of the ANBU.  It was such a shock for him to have been offered such a position and responsibility that he requested to be given some time to think about the decision, with him passing to Chunnin being the factor that will determine his future course.

Chunnin Arc:

Once the team was promoted to Chunnin, they lost the name Team Misa and became Team Wakai due to the lack of a Jounin Sensei, and them being a young team. They also got an addition to the team, this time a fellow chunnin like themselves; Xi Meru. This girl, around 12 had a real disliking to Shikauhachi. She thought of him as a lazy, worthless, and too young to be on the same team as her. Its unclear why she dislike him so much, but after getting to know her she became considered to be a pain to young Shikauhachui, almost like his mother and older sister.

The team of four began doing mission having been dropped from D ranked missions and were now onto C and B missions. Shikauhachi learned to enjoy it, he and his team were at their best and after every mission they were praised. It was now apparent that Shikauhachi had exceeded the rest of their team and was the main reasons the team succeeding in most of their B-ranked missions. It was at this time, that Shikauhachi and the rest of team decided on what they wanted to do. Shikauhachi wanted to go on to become a Anbu-Ninja, Xi wanted to go on and train to become a hunter-ninja, Yachimaru Kechi wanted to become a teacher, and Ranpu Omori wanted to join the military police.

As Shikauhachi focused on his own dreams, the training with the Anbul ninja would soon begin. With a week before his official induction into the Anbu his team was assigned one last mission As they gathered outside of the main gate on the rise of the morning sun it would be the last time they would be working together as squad but yet still connected to each other, through their life long bond they will always share. Departing to Kumo, assigned to protect a visiting Daimyo back to his home country, the trip was a very fairly easy one and they achieved success without much problem from outside forces.

ANBU Arc:

With his old life now behind him he entered into the old halls of the secret Anbu base where he domed the mask of the fox and his face was removed from the mind of the world, living behind the mask he began his journey. In a time of peace, you would think that the need for such an organization but you’ll be surprised how more often than not. Since his induction into the organization he has developed the necessary skills and power to be able to have taken down several nin that have tried to steal from the village. As he spent more time within the Anbu he soon discovered that in times of peace there are more battles fought in secret amongst the nations, which only chip away at the illusion of peace that has stood among the great nations. It was a sad day when new came back that their leader, though old in age and wisdom, was getting ready to retire and that a new leader was to be selected. Among those nominated for the position, Shikauhachi, was the one that has proven to not only have the mental, physical, and leadership ability, but he possessed a reputation that struck fear among the other nations. He took the position with no problem, now with a desire to protect all of Anbu and his kinsmen more than ever.

RP Sample:
The faint glow of the moon beat upon the forest floor as four shadows danced across the lifeless floor below.  A dark colored boot pressed gently upon the limbs of the old tress; belong to none other than the Anbu of Konohagakure Shikauhachi. Odd!! The convey from kusa hasn’t arrived yet. He wasn’t too worried about this mission, but he understood that if any of them where to be found within the bounders of the land of grass it would raise many questions that he didn’t want to have to disclose. While he sat in silence a small bird flew by, dropping a small scroll into open palm. With his dark grey hues dancing over the paper a glimmer hope sprung into his fingers flowing down to his toes. There only 3 min away. Crumbling up the paper he summoned a small spark to crumble it, allowing the gentle winds to take it away.

Rising with an air of leadership dripping from his aura he gave a wave of his hand as three figures shot outwards into the open field that rested before them. Lets finish this quickly. As he watched his peers dash towards the convey he dropped his cloak and armed himself with his light bombs. 3, 2, 1, Leaping into the cool nights air he darted towards the group, which was now in a heated battle with the Kusa ninja. As the yards drew nigh he tossed the light bombs across the battle field, causing a blinding light to shine across the battle field. With his foes taken by the sudden explosion, the anbu captain leaped into the middle of the field and performing quick hand signs he executed the needed jutsu, Shadow Bind Technique.

His lips parted, a soft voice vibrated against the ear drums of all upon the battlefield. “There is no need to fight any longer”. He forced the 4 kusa ninja to walk away from the wooden cart as his allies went about gathering the info it contained, concerning a secret clan jutsu, that was rumored to give an uncanny ability to pacify anyone under its effects. With the mission now complete he released his shadow grip from the ninja, hoping they would just depart in haste. However, he knew their pride and mission wouldn’t allow that to happen. Time to die.

With his mind set on the success of the mission he removed his katana and positioned himself for the oncoming battle that he knew was to happen, while his teammates dashed back towards the border.
