After endlessly begging his primary protector to teach him the ways of her clan, Kyoko had finally succumb to the will of the Otokage thanks to the use of his silver tongue. He was infinitely pleased with his ability to convince her to do so, considering he had always admired the ways of the Nara clan. Their ability to possess others simply by connecting the shadows of the two was absolutely unmatchable when it came to strategy. He could use it in so many different ways that it was almost unimaginable how many possibilities were already flowing through his mind. However, he would never say his plans out loud, for someone could fear his plans and eventually attempt to end him to hinder the power at which he was allowed to possess. So now the two sat outside in the training grounds with no one around. Kyoko was demonstrating her ability by poking at Oboro's shadow before he was able to notice it. However, as soon as he noticed brief moments of paralysis, he told her to cut it out with a gentle laugh.
"Stop that!" He would say to her with a smile on his face. She too giggled before retracting her own shadow and replying with, "I was just messing with you. However, that brings me to my first point. When I was first learning how to use Shadow Possession, the first thing my sister showed me was the effects of the jutsu by using it on me. She also told me techniques to be wary of when using my technique, for they would be the undoing of my abilities. That was when she would explain the first step towards learning the art of the Nara. "The first thing we are going to do is possess you with the the shadow itself. With this method, you can see how it really works. However, you must be within twenty meters of me to have our shadows connect." As if on command, Oboro backed away to exactly fifteen meters away from his helper. She would then extend her shadow subtly across the ground and to his feet. At that moment, it was as if he no longer had any control over his own body. It was not her ability to control him. "So... It seems as if I can still talk then?" He would ask her as she made him flail his arms in mirroring movement with hers. It looked a bit silly, though she was simply showing him what all he was able to do with the technique. "Yes, we can still both speak normally, however the rest of your body is now under my control and thus I can make you do whatever I please. Generally facial expressions are not mirrored either. In no way does it strip your sense of individuality." She would then retract her own shadow before freeing him from the spell. "With your sharingan, you can likely see how my chakra is focused and attempt the jutsu on your own." To this notion, Oboro smiled and activated his doujutsu.
"Okay, go ahead." He motioned for her to start up the jutsu. His sharingan recorded every moment as if it was a film. It was as if he was watching footage of the technique being used over and over again, endlessly in his mind, studying it movement, shapes and patterns. He then looked at the Nara and how she was focusing her chakra. It seemed the majority of it was towards the bottom half of her body, though it seemed to be in a flat shape rather than a flowing river. It seemed a bit more like a puddle than a flowing body of water. It clung to the bottom in some type of fashion. After studying her own manipulation of the technique, he looked at his own shadow as he would attempt to replicate hers. He was able to move his own shadow about five feet from his body, though that was not nearly as far as he desired. However, she smiled at him and said that that was a great attempt for someone's first try. He grinned and persisted on. After about three tries, he was able to go up to seven feet or so. After what seemed a dozen, he was finally at the ten meter mark. It took about fifty for him to reach the full twenty meter shadow extension. However, that was still good timing for someone to master a technique. However, the two were not done yet.
Kyoko made her way to a tree nearby and reached for a limb slightly above her. She used the brutal power that everyone had boasted of her that Oboro was yet to see. This branch had to be two feet thick and she snapped it with ease. She then splintered it into smaller pieces and placed them with the points down on the ground before using her foot sole to stomp them into place. She stuck about ten into the groun nearly three inches away from each other. "Now,. you have to weave your shadow between each and every one of these sticks to prove your mastery." Naturally, Oboro thought this would be a piece of cake. However, the act of moving his shadow in such precise turns was a bit more severe than he had expected. He was forced to move into such tiny spaces and stretch his shadow super thin in order to be able to make accurate turns. On top of that, should he use any extra shadow length, he would run out of reach. It was difficult indeed, especially by time he made it to the fifth turn each time. That was the on that always got him. However, on his twelfth attempt, he finally made it to the very end. A brief moment of satisfaction passed his face before Kyoko drilled another wooden splinter into the ground. It took at least fifteen more tries before he was able to wrap it all the way around the sixth. After wiping the sweat from he brow, he realized that he was nearly depleted of his precious chakra.
"You did well today. I present you with the verbal mastery of the Nara clan's staple technique. You should be able to learn the rest of our abilities on your own or even create your own. However, if you ever need a few pointers, I'd be happy to put you through boot camp again." She said as he slapped him on his upper back hard enough to feel the sting. He grit a smile as she walked away, no stress in her body.

- Name: Shadow Imitation Technique
Rank: B
Type: Nin/Bloodline
Element: -
Range: 20m
Duration: Maintainable
Hand Seals/Charge up: Rat
Description: The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow on any surface (even water) and as far as they want as long as there is a sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore, the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user desires that (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on pre-existing shadows for their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction. The shadow can also be attached to people without binding them, letting the "victim" move freely. Doing that has the purpose that the person, the shadow was attached to, makes contact with a third person, to bind the latter one with the shadow. Shadow Imitation Technique move somewhat slow though, only able to travel at a basic taijutsu speed, no matter how powerful the user's ninjutsu is.
