Sound Jutsu

Why are sound jutsu banned? Can I get a general consensus and then I'll proceed to explain a counter-argument on this first post for you.

  -Next to impossible is not impossible. Genjutsu is easy to fend against, just pay attention when you're writing your post. Same way a sound jutsu is. It's not hard to use a sensing ability to notice some chakra of some sort is being accumulated for a jutsu. Sharingan could do the same, Byakugan could do it as well. There's too many ways to avoid it to not be allowed if that is the only reason.

Er... Not exactly what I was saying. Genjutsu can be passively presented at the same time as attacking with other methods. The only real way to avoid it is to cut off your own hearing ability. Not everyone has access to sharingan and byakugan, though it may seem that way sometimes. Simply "paying attention" doesn't prevent your hearing ability either. Sound moves faster than your hands can.

-It's nothing to "feel" chakra being accumulated for a jutsu. This is kind of what I was getting at. You can feel this sort of thing as a common ability for shinobi, it's just when you put it in your post that makes it a valid thing or not. If you're good you'll notice it quick and have a counter for it. It's also not hard to create a jutsu for an average shinobi to counteract a sound technique. "Selective Hearing Technique", I'll create a template if mods would allow these jutsu and still see that a viable thing.

You don't just "sense" things happening in the future though. And all it takes is hearing it for an instant. Allowing Sound based Jutsu and then using "Selective Hearing Genjutsu" would completely defeat the purpose. On top of that, you would have to constantly pay the upkeep for said Jutsu cause activating it after the sound hits your ears would be kinda pointless. It would honestly cause more problems just to allow it.

why cant we use sound for physical based attacks? instead of using it for genjutsu.

Well they're all rooted in the hearing. Unless of course you were attempting to use sound waves to attack. I could see that being allowed perhaps. But simply damaging someone by hearing is kinda whack.

what about when whats his face used his sound nin to vibrate choji in the CE's? yea it may have caused confusion but it was still a physical attack

Obro there is so much more to sound jutsu than simply messing up someone's hearing. Methinks you should go research the levels of sound.

O-O I actually have a pretty goof understanding in sound considering I've already completed the physics college equivalent lol. The only real manipulation of sound available is that of frequency or that of wavelength. Frequency would affect the senses. Virtually this would act as a Genjutsu similar to that of Dosu's. The other would be wavelength, affecting things such as vibration primarily because it determines the size of the sound wave, a bit like Zaku's. If you have some undiscovered studies of sound that I'm unaware of, I would love to hear them.

Okay with sound ninjutsu. once youve made a sound and amplified with jutsu it indeed travels at the speed of sound in a persons ears. Depending on the ranking of the jutsu could make a person deaf instantly and other silly things like this. The problem with this is that because its sound its almost impossible to avoid unless you somehow have IC knowledge before hand and were sound proof ear muffs which wont happen often.

Deres a few reasons why sound ninjutsu is banned.

Kamina- Probably be limited to Sound Amplificator tools like Zaku or Dosu used those gauntlets. It will look pretty obvious imo.

with a tool or without and dont forget that you'd have no fucking clue what a sound amplifier looked like especially if it looked like dokus.

Despite the fact that Temari was able to stop sound Justus with wind, this site generally uses more logical approaches than that of the anime. There are much better alternatives guys ;-;

Just because there are alternatives doesn't mean we should rule this one out lol you feel me? I'm just tryna broaden the site's advantages that we give the members to hopefully attract more.
