Looks Description:

Hiragana Himself: Hira's build resembles closely that of his father from what he can remember of him. The only exception was that his father was much larger build wise although he was the same height from what Hira can remember. Hiragana himself is a tall, slim built ninja from the hozuki clan of the hidden mist. He stands just over five feet, ten inches tall but not quite to the eleven inch marker. He wears in at about one-hundred and forty-five pounds, which is not that heavy over all. He has a sharp built face with a pointy chin and medium sized nose. His long white hair is a little unruly and not kept in any particular style. Also, fitting the bill for his Hozuki heritage, he has sharp razor like teeth built into rows that resemble that of a sharks mouth. He is not an overly buff shinobi but does have distinct muscle tone. He has a slim figure but other than this the only thing that stands out is his broad shoulders. One other distinguishing feature, although unable to be seen during normal circumstances, is the large scar that covers the majority of his back. The scar is in the shape of a giant "X" that covers a significant portion of his back from his shoulders completely down to his waist.

Attire: Hira's normal attire consists of all black clothing for the most part. He was never one for bright colors and prefers to keep his clothing as basic as possible, in terms of color. He wears black underclothing that cover his whole body including his feet, except for his head and hands of course. He keeps the undershirt tucked in and a black belt tight around his waist. Over this he wears a black cloak that extends to just past his knees. He also dons thick, black stomper boots and a black scarf, both of which are secured by belts that are kept looser than the one around his waist. On his head he can be seen wearing a turban like hat which also dons belts, however when on a mission he trades this hat in for his Anbu mask preferring not to wear both simultaneously.

History:

Birth Arc:
Hira was born on the outskirts of the land of waves, a single child to his father Hiragana Hozuki for who he is named after and Tekumi Akihira. He was born a sickly baby, silent and with his eyes closed in a near death state right at birth with almost no hope of living. After the first few days however, Hira's condition began to gradually improve and eventually he was just like any other healthy child his age. As a baby he wasn't a very needy child and he really didn't cry all too often so he was very easy to take care of. His mother handled him primarily with his father being pretty distant in the early years of Hira's life. His father was a hozuki clansmen but never chose to become a shinobi and rather preferred to stay at home and be a routine hunter, providing all the food and protection for his family. It was his father who would later teach Hira to the tricks to hunting and gathering as he grew older.

Pre-Academy Arc:
When Hira grew old enough, around the age of five, his father began to step in a little more. His father around this time began teaching him how to hunt and gather food for their family. He learned how to set traps for small animals and how to use a bow to hunt larger ones. He never learned how to become a master with a bow and to this day prefers sword combat over bows but he was considered adept by his father so he does have some knowledge and practice in their use. His father was a hard-ass right from the get go. Not a very nice man at all and was pretty abusive to Hira and Hira's mother early on to the point that Hira began to respect his father primarily out of just fear. Hira often witnessed the abuse first hand and while he was on the receiving end far less than his mother was it was still traumatizing to him as a child. When he was a toddler his father was so loving and caring so this drastic change in the attitude of his father was something he never could understand.

The Incident Arc:
When he was around the age of eight years old or so the incident that changed his whole life occurred. He will forever remember the day as it would haunt him night after night for the rest of your life. He awoke to a loud crash in the middle of the night and as silent as he possibly could he crept to his dads study to retrieve the large knife that was kept there. This used for skinning the animals he and his father brought in after successful hunts. Unsheathing the knife from its holster and creeping back into the dark hallway between rooms, he made his way to his parents bed room. What he was was a dark figure standing over his mother who was curled into a ball whimpering. He threw himself at the attack and jabbed knife right through their back causing them to drop to the floor. His mother gave him a shocked look and a gasp as Hira hugged her saying that she was safe now and asking where dad was. Little did Hira know, it was his father, whom he had just stabbed and killed. A funeral was held a few days later with the only attendants being Hira and his mother Tekumi. Hira's mother grew very distant to him afterwards to the point where she almost completely ignored him. While his father had been abusive to her, and that Hira attacking him was of course accidental, she still blamed him for the death of Hiragana senior. It was for this reason that Hira decided to leave home and venture to the nearby village hidden in the Mist where he hoped to practice and study ninjutsu at the academy there.

Academy Arc:
Hira ventured on to Kirigakure, alone, with nothing but a small backpack that held as much of his clothing in it that could fit. Along with him he also brought the same knife that he had killed his father with and a small bow and arrow so he could hunt along the way. Finding food and shelter came easy to him due to his skill that he had worked up in hunting and gathering. It took him about a week of travel to reach the mist village, an eight year old can only go so far. When he reached the village hidden in the Mist he went straight to the academy and applied to join, but, was turned down the very first time for reasons not stated. He spent the next couple of days observing the other students at the academy to see what kind of training they did on a normal basis, and using this information, he created his own training regimen for himself to follow until he could get accepted into the academy. It consisted of basic exercise routines consisting of push ups, sit ups, running laps, etc. He stuck with this training session for about a week or so before yet again attempting to enter the academy, he was accepted this time. At first he struggled to keep up with the other students and preferred to train alone more often than not. He spent a lot of his earlier years with his nose buried in books about topics ranging from ninjutsu to the history of Kirigakure and even one book on the Hozuki clan from which is a descendant of. He studied and trained, day after day, working his skills up to the point that by the time he was in his second year at the academy, he was one of the tops of his class. He excelled at taijutsu, ninjutsu, and weaponry combat but flunked out at genjutsu. He didn't worry too much about it though, as he considered it cowardice to fight with illusions anyways.

Genin and Chunin Exam Arc:
When he graduated the ninja academy he was one of the tops of his class, surpassing those that had been there longer than he had and were older than him easily. While he was at the academy, he had made one dear friend that would stick with him for a long while. This boys name, was Takura Nightingale but Hira came to just call him Night for short from the day they became friends. Night was a very well rounded swordsmen, even better than Hira was in all honesty. Night however, had fallen behind in ninjutsu, this gave him and Hira something to teach each other in the long run. Since they graduated the academy the same year, even though Night was one year older than Hira, they sparred and trained together each and every day. They trained their swordsmen skills with wooden practice swords and drastically worked on their chakra control by learning how to climb trees and walk on water. They grew even closer, taking on dozens of missions and assignments together before even entering into the chunin exams as a duo. They both passed the first and second exams with ease and when they reached the third and final exams things grew interesting. They were pitted against each other in a 1v1 no holds barred match against each other. The battle was long fought and entertaining, in the end however Hira came out on top by a very small margin. In the end they were both promoted to chunin as they showed the skills necessary for the promotion. They spent no time celebrating as one would have expected but instead amped up their training to new heights, tackling much tougher missions more and more often.

Demon of Waterfalls Arc:
It was a normal afternoon and they had just finished a simple merchant escort mission to the land of fire when they returned to the welcoming of yet another mission for the day, this was intended to be another simple escort mission to Takigakure the village hidden by waterfalls. The mission was C-ranked when they received and thus should have been a rather simple task for two chunin ranked shinobi with skill levels like Hira's and Night's. However, along the way, they were ambushed by a battalion of five Jounin ranked shinobi from the waterfall village with Hira being the only survivor of the massacre. He witnessed the merchant be killed first, simple and quick with a few kunai imbedding into his chest. Throwing up their guards instantly, Hira and Night both put up an amazing fight with Night sacrificing his life to allow Hira to escape the fray. Night, of course, did not survive that day. With an unimaginable amount of rage built up over the death of his best friend, Hira went on ahead to Takigakure and hid himself within the waterfall using one of his clans special techniques. When the battalion of ninja returned to their village after slaughtering Night and the merchant, Hira, was awaiting them. Hira sprang a solo ambush upon the returning ninja, with their guards let down he was able to slaughter all of them and bathe himself in their blood. His first kills as a Shinobi, and for some reason they felt so very good to him. The events that transpired that day earned him the monicker, The Demon of Waterfalls. He returned to the village, carrying Nights body all the way back with him. Night was given an honorable death, having saved Hira’s life at the much too early cost of his own.

Present Day Arc:
The events that had transpired throughout his life up until this point, murdering his father, abandoning his mother, losing his best friend, etc. These events had transformed him into the ninja that Hira was today. He trained hard, just as hard if not even harder than when Night was around and at some point in his life gained the rank of Anbu. Since his promotion, he has kept himself busy and his mind focused on everything other than the memories that haunt him to this day. He doesn't sleep much at all anymore and when he does, nightmares of his past haunt him. He is always taking on missions or training as hard as he can push himself.

RP Sample:
The air grew stiff and still, not a sound could be heard among the rustling of trees in the breeze. The still quietness gave way to something more as Hira sat atop a high tree branch awaiting the approach of his prey. He kept his legs folded and ready to pounce; the intended target drawing ever closer. The large brown deer with equally large antlers crept along the forest floor below, cautiously. In a matter of moments the deer was within range and Hira pounced from his perch to the unsuspecting animal below. Landing on its back and in a single, swift motion, severing the spinal cord at the base of the neck with his katana was an easy task. His skill at hunting came in handy when paired with his patience and his ability to await for the perfect moment to strike.

"Such a simple creature to hunt but so difficult to deceive." Hira stated out loud to himself. Deer were one of Hira's favorite prey of choice. They were harmless creatures but even so, their sensory skills were incredible at times. They would sometimes detect Hira without ever seeing him, using nothing other than their keen sense of hearing and smell. He unsheathed the large skinning knife he had kept with him since the murder of his fathers eons ago. The gruesome scene that followed as he skinned the animal would upset the stomach of most people so leaving crucial details out is necessary for the most part. After the animal was skinned and the left overs discarded, Hira made his way down to a nearby river so he could wash the blood from the blade. Hira had spent many years learning how to skin animals and still avoid getting too much blood on his clothing and skin, but, it can be nearly impossible to do at times.

After the blade was cleaned and the animal pelt/meat was neatly wrapped in cloth and placed in his satchel, Hira began his lonely walk back to the village hidden in the mist. He had left early this morning to go hunting and within the past couple of hours was able to bag one large deer, and a few small rabbits and squirrels; the usual he acquired on his hunting trips. While he preferred to hunt, kill, and cook his own meals there were a few eateries around the village that he quite enjoyed dining in at when his taste buds permitted it. This amount of bounty usually lasted him a couple of days to a week depending on how busy he found himself with missions and training throughout of the course of the days following his hunting trips. "I had hoped to see more than just a single deer but, the size of this one should make up for it in the long run." Hira's mind wandered along as he finally arrived home, home to Kirigakure, the village hidden in the mist.
