Fly Away {Training} [Hitomi/Yuuji]

Yuuji stood there as he listened to her speak, looking alittle confused as she sighed, appearing to be sad as she looked away from him, he can't help but wonder if he asid anything wrong or maybe it just because of how he acted, in the past people have gotten fed up with his emotionless expressions and his tone of voice, let alone how he sees and does things, perhaps they simply haven't given him a chance as where Hitomi herself and a few others have seen Yuuji outside of his shell.
He listened to her words on the damage that he probably did, I guess even holding back didn't really help that much, but he couldn't help but think what damage he could've done if he didn't, this thought had worried him quite a fair bit but refused to let it show on his face.
The next thing he knew her arms were around his waist as he was being hugged which quickly removed the blank look on his face, only to bring on a confused one as he looks down at her with his arms at his side, should he hug her back or shouldn't he, but there he stood with his arms at his side, standing there completely still as he looks confused, listening to what she has to say, as he starts to speak he mumbles slightly before falling silent and then starts again as he speaks up with the dull tone, it seemed as if he nearly actually almost spoke with some emotion behind his voice but decided to keep it in.
"I'm nowhere near as strong as some of the nin, but I will be someday, strong enough to change how things are, but you're rather quick to trust, who knows how I or you might turn out in the future, why would you trust someone like me, and I don't see how you'd stop me from failing, not everybody is going to be the same in a fight you know, people have different heights, different styles, I'm learning just as much as you are in that case."
Yuuji shakes his head from left to right and lets out a sigh before talking once more.
"It almost sounds as if you're putting yourself down over this."

She seemed un-moving in her actions as she stood there still hugging him seeming to tighten her grip shaking her head to him. "You're right, how could I trust someone...someone who rather than scold my weakness treat it to get better with comfort like a father and sympathy like a mother. Someone who'd rather not than give out points upon whats right and wrong and listen to what's really wrong." She seemed to sigh pressing her head onto his chest in a calm motion before turning it to a side so she could answer him. "I know, everyone is different...they're alive after all, but you need to stop putting on this mask of yours at least once out of battle. You're only dampening your sight by keeping it on." She went on to now holding tightly and seeming to frown a bit. She wasn't sad about herself or anything, but his words.

She kept going on with the topic barely making an audible answer towards him. "I'd rather influence that future then..." She spoke out closing her eyes and just sitting in that moment for a time. As if she was trying to explain something but unable to as well. Perhaps it was a sense of her still young mind chasing things around. She didn't expect a happy ending, just an ending to something if possible. How he'd react was his choice, but somewhere inside she seemed to make a mindset to what she said. As if it were a promise without being said so. It felt like just moments passed on from cracking her own shell open to trying to learn to fly metaphorically. She didn't want to let go this time, not this time.

Yuuji still can't help looked confused, he wasn't very familiar with these situations at all, he didn't even know what to do when this sort of thing happened before, he really didn't know how to act with his feelings, nor really knew how to show them too people, it had always been the same thing, let people believe the rumors, let them see this emotionless side and keep them away.
"This mask I wear is for many reasons, if people knew how I truly felt, I wouldn't be where I am today, so if I have to pretend I don't care and let people believe what they want, I have no choice." 
He didn't seemed all that fussed about her hugging him, part of him enjoyed it, it was nice to be close to people like he used to be, but as with his mind when getting close to someone it always involves the same thoughts of his past, what if he can't save her if that time were to come, how would he handle watching her lie lifelessly like he saw his friends and his sensei, as the thought of that dreaded night came to mind, he quickly pushed her away as he gritted his teeth, looking disturbed by the images that played through his mind as he grabbed his head with his right hand, falling backwards onto the mud as he sits there, slamming his left fist into the mud as it splashes.
He never wanted to be seen like this, this is reason why he didn't get close to people, he couldn't bare with the fact this is why he swore just to protect and not to make bonds.

Yuuji muttered quietly to himself as he sat there on the ground.
"Dammit.. I'm sorry.."
To her, whatever caused this was clearly something drastic, if she would of heard of the rumors, there is some truth behind them of what he had witnessed.

She enjoyed this even if it was sad on how it turned out, someone who seemed intent on what he did without a care of what others give off. However it seemed that was a little bit of a lie, obviously it hurt deeply even if he denied it. Even more so she she knew some of the feeling, not all of course to that extent but rumors and acting with a mask to go on daily. "You don't need to mask if someone cares...you're only hiding your better self from them." She seemed to answer trying to explain what she had meant before better. Her mind trying to think of what to say next but only coming up blank as she enjoyed the moment, especially with how small it was. But as nice as it was she was quickly pushed away from him as he seemed to break down.

She wasn't too sure on this situation but she did have to help her little brother through situations where he was scared. Perhaps it would be the same, or perhaps he'd need some room. However she choose the former and knelt down beside him a bit worried before putting her hand to his back. "You're not at fault, it's okay...I'm here if you need me." She carried on to rubbing his back while looking at him. She the placed her head on the side of his shoulder trying to calm him if a little. Not that it was bad at what he was doing, but that it was sad to see him in so much pain.

Yuuji can't help but seem to sulk, it was rare for him to break down outside of his own bedroom, let alone infront of anyone, knowing that he shouldn't even be here this day almost felt like a sin, but he continued on to ensure that it never happened again and if it ever did come down to it, he'd be ready to prevent it.
He continued to sit down in the mud, resting his forehead in his right hand as he looks down into the floor with his left arm hanging lifelessly with his  hand just laying there against the mud. 
"People died because of me.. I couldn't stop that, if I had just said something.. It could of been avoided. they'd still be here.."
Yuuji couldn't help but remember their faces yet again as they lied there and the moment his sensei had sacrificed himself for his sake, he couldn't help but remember that he was the one to burn their bodies, the worst part is he couldn't help but remember the faces of their families, how one had even blamed him for it, another had accused him of doing it himself which is how the rumors had started, which forced him to create this emitionless persona.
Yuuji has never had the chances in life so far to truly be himself, as a Hyuga Branch member, branded and seen as a servant, he couldn't enjoy being a child, after his father and fallen seriously ill he couldn't upkeep his duties which were then forced upon Yuuji, to train to become a ninja at the academy which had let to this disaster, it was just one bad thing after the other, all he wanted to do was just cry but he held back his tears as he raised his head and forced that same emotionless look even though his eyes were just screaming, but no matter what he refused, he refused to let it out and kept it bottled in as he removes his hand from his forehead to look at her.
"I'm fine.. really I am, it was nothing."
As it pained him to lie to her face, let alone hurt him to push away even though she had intentions of being friendly and cared, he stood up to try and slip away to create only a small standing difference between the two as he looks at her.
"Do you want to carry on or would you rather leave it at this?"
Yuujis words sounded hollow as he brushed some of the mud from his clothes and his hands, only smearing it from the wetness of the rain.

She watched him sulk and sitting there as she placed her hand on to his limp-like hand covered in mud. "People will get hurt and may even die to protect those they care for, and it will hurt for so long...because the one they care for will blame themselves for it. I know that feeling, I blamed myself for the longest time..." She spoke on in the conversation not even taking a gaze away from him, he seemed so pained, so hurt internally. Not given much of a chance to have the comfort of those who can protect you or at least let you feel safe and free. "If it wasn't for one person, I may not have even been here to tell you this...even if that person is long gone. People are cruel, not only to each other but themselves."

She went on as he rose up trying to let that go as if it never happened. "I'd rather stop here...but you should know, I'll not promise to always be there, or to never leave. But I will try. It's only fine when you're able to be yourself...just as I have done for you." Even though it was a somber moment turned away she smiled a little, looking at him just as she has. "But I do have a request, take or leave as you want...would you like to accompany me to visit the graves. I need to pay respects before the exams to the one I owe my knowledge and healthy life to." She asked as she held onto his hand, even with the mud slipping around and drying up oddly. "You should do the same, it'll help...honestly it does."

Yuuji nodded slightly as he had seemed to calm down as a few moments passed, he forces a smile at her words and shakes his head.
"You don't need to be there, it's not your duty it too, I believe that you've got things to aim for and such, all I know that this dark path is going to continue and I'm not quite sure where it's going to lead me and if I ever become myself, I won't be able to do what I promised." 
He sounds rather serious, but could it just be that he was scared to let how emotions can change during battles and certain situations or was he just scared to feel these kinda things yet again, only to have them taken away.
As soon as she mentions visiting the graveyard his heart begins to sink, he can't remember the last time he visited or had he visited at all, as far as he recalls he had never really spoke anything the night of the incident, he had just got on with it unable to process what had happened.
"I.. I don't really know if I can handle going there, it's not really a place I like to be, I don't even know what I'd do."
Yuuji tried to pick at he excuses, trying to prevent his mask from breaking as he talks to her, even though he had pretended to ignore the fact that she was holding his hand, it was somewhat comforting knowing that he may have to face the fact and go there.

She continued to smile and hold his hand as she answered to him with a calm sense of direction. "My goal is to protect my family, so long as they're safe I free myself to do as I like, and I wish to do this for you. Even if it's a dark path, I don't care...I just care for my family and now for you." She said nodding to him as her grip tightened somewhat tugging on his hand to follow her footsteps as she begun to walk. "There isn't a way to handle this correctly, and even so all you really have to do is just be there...you have the choice of doing more, but even the simplest things can change someone." She answered to him tugging his hand a bit more to keep going, it wasn't rough handed or that she pulled to harshly just a calm sort of push to just go on ahead rather than make an excuse once more.

That is where she decided to take a less walked path, knowing now what others say can hurt him even with his mask to hide it. After all she'd rather not trouble him with more stress as it was and there was plenty of forested trees surrounding the graveyard, giving coverage from anyone around. They had exited the training grounds, rather than to be trained in attacks but in mental stability, which is a lesson many shinobi never learn in a lifetime. Let alone some could be changed because of it and it's effects of mass amounts. She didn't hope to see him willingly to go, but she knew he needed to now more than ever. It was essential if she was ever going to break that mask and really see the real him.
