Some people see the world in different ways, Yuuji was one of them and the past with nothing he could forget and the future is all he could look to, but right now he had to focus on the present, everything he did from now on mattered, this is his story that is unwritten, he knew only he could change that with the Chunin exams only a few hours away, the pressure was on as Yuuji spared no expense on his appearance as he woke up in the morning, he threw on his old clothes, didn't bother with breakfast he knew that he had to improve his skills one last time for the exams.
"I have to get stronger, no. I will get stronger." He mutters quietly to himself as he marches through the streets making his way towards the training grounds, he now knew two of the people entering the exams along side him, one being Sora Hyuga a member of the main house, as stupid and odd as he may be, the kid shouldn't be under-estimated he has some strength somewhere and another was somone he met not too long ago a young girl named Hitomi, can't say he knows much about her skills, but from what he knows she must of been through some rough times and somehow must get her strength from that.
Yuuji also had a run in with the Clan Head of the Hyuga main house, the man he likes to call "The Hulking Hyuga" because of the height difference between the two, the man is frickin' eight feet tall or something!
That aside Yuuji had met new people, slightly starting to build his trust in others, yet there was another one he couldn't quite work out, the woman who leads his squad, Mizuna Hyuga, he wasn't sure what branch she was from, all he knew that the two had something simular in common, there were a few other things that he couldn't work out about her, one being her sudden affection or the closeness between the two on their first meeting, maybe thats just the way girls are? But either way Yuuji remembered the state it left him in, he might seem cold and emotionless but somewhere theres some feelings which he has no clue what to do with.
There was another person on Yuuji's mind, a boy abit younger them him or so he thought that he had encountered out on a mission outside of the village, he never learnt the boys true intetnions of being all the way out there, but he wasn't friendly, the two had broke out into fighting as soon as they learnt each others names, now that he thinks about it he can't even remember how the fight ended.
The next thing he realises as he mind trails through this thoughts, he had past the training grounds and the people training in it, somehow ending up in the forest with his usual training spot.
"How in the world? I lose myself in my mind for a few moments and I'm already here?" he looked around to be surrounded by trees that sat a good couple of meters away, this was probably a good thing, practising Kanton in the middle of a forest might not go down to well, but never the less this is where he trained and always has done when he's on his own, Yuuji had sat down in the ground in the middle of "his" training area and began to meditate for a few minutes, regathering his foughts, his focus and his goals, he couldn't careless about any of the small things, all that mattered was his family, those who he needed to protect and passing the exams, after his meditaion was complete he stood up with a grin on his face.
"Alright, lets do this."
Yuuji stood in utter silence in the middle of the forest, nothing could be heard but the wildlife as he took a deep breath, there was a burning sensation in his stomach as he moulded the chakra, heating it inside of his stomach before letting out a deep breath, he spat out a large wave of flames infront of him, which lasted a few seconds before they vanished, he raised his hand in the air for a small victory, but somewhat greatful that no-one was around to see it before he practised the technique a few more times to make sure he had the grasp of it, this took up half of his day before he sat on the ground, exhausted from the exercises, all of a sudden there was an unnatrual noise that echo'd through the forest, it was Yuuji's stomach, maybe skipping out on breakfast wasn't the best of ideas, after collecting his stuff he stood up and left the forest, making his way towards the nearest Ramen shop to refill his energy, as he sat on stool waiting for his food, he wondered how everyone else was getting on there with their training, he remembered that he caught a glimps of Sora and Hitomi talking and sparing, so they knew what was at stake, but the genin from the other villages, just how hard were they working compared to the others.
Yuuji let out a sigh as he poked around at his ramen with his chopsticks
"I really shouldn't let this stuff bother me, I know I'm strong, but I can't help but think that something is just going to knock me off my balance, I have to pa-.." Yuuji suddenly realised something, he hadn't do any of the studies for the written exams!
"Ah crap! I knew I forgot something all this time!" he quickly leaves the rest of his food on the table before sprining out of the shop, dashing as fast as he could home to start studying and reading up on whatever information he could get his hands on.
