Looks Description:

Kisu is a somewhat above-average looking fellow, and certainly an odd-looking ninja. His regular attire consists of a large, brown trench coat that stretches down to just above his ankles. Crafted of a sturdy and weather-resistant material, its most prized property is the plethora of pockets that hide within it. Two on the outside for the hands and many within for random objects, it is Kisu's special home for many of his personal belongings. As a traveler, it was perfect.

Within it Kisu has a small journal, a pen, his pipe, a bag of coffee-spiced tobacco, a small 10oz metal flask containing filtered water, a box of matches, and a pocket watch. All things he's acquired and all things he plans to protect, as they are non-combat possessions, especially the matches. Those are way too important to waste on tags or wire, he needs those to light his pipe.

Underneath his coat he wears a simple white short-sleeved shirt, and underneath that fishnet lining to serve as the most basic protection. Below the torso Kisu wears brown trousers and tall, dark brown hiking boots. Considering that he's spent more time traveling around Kirigakure than actually fighting, this appearance felt better suited for him. While he may be a bit clunky, his fighting abilities are still worth noting for his level of skill.

Considering that he does not wear a headband, Kisu instead has a metal pendant crafted in the shape of Kirigakure's symbol that hangs loosely around his neck. It is the only sign of affiliation on his person, and it is sometimes hard to spot.

Personality Description:

Kisu is an intellectual at heart, and his knowledge could be considered fairly vast for his age. He enjoys learning all about the world around him, be it a person's life experiences or something as simple as the type of flower growing on the side of a path. His interest in learning things led to the creation of his special seals that gained information for him, and he could then revisit places later on when he was ready to take them in. With learning, Kisu also learned to enjoy many things, like writing, cooking, botany, brewing, and history.

Aside from gathering ridiculous amounts of data, Kisu's favorite past-times include long hikes through the wilderness and spending time pondering things. The most special of times is during heavy rains, something very common in Kirigakure, where Kisu will sit back and let his imagination run wild. A rather mellow person, you could say that Kisu is almost neutral chaotic. His desire to learn and think allows him to approach almost any situation with little to no bias at all, and his judgment is generally clear and unclouded. While particularly vile acts would not go without question, his general interest in the world wouldn't make him report the smallest of crimes.

Intuitive and analytical, Kisu also enjoys finding new solutions to problems at hand. He is often the type to pick up a stone and kill three birds with it, possibly a strong characteristic of good leadership. He doesn't mind going in first and is usually never the last one to answer an issue, unless it's all according to plan, of course. A necessity of forming ideas is communicating them, and Kisu's grasp on the English language is strong thanks to his practice of writing. When it comes to delivering on-the-spot tactics or sitting down for a formal strategy, Kisu is prepared to describe or illustrate his ideas as best as he can.

In addition to his sharp wits and open mind, Kisu also enjoys practices that involve the use of his hands. Particularly, Kisu enjoys playing the piano, a skill that he's grown rather good at. He also enjoys whittling and on occasion he'll hunt down flint on the grounds of Kirigakure's woods to be used for starting fires. Capable of cooking up a mean dish, be it from wild game or from shop-prepped ingredients, he's quite the survivalist - a fitting skill for his love of travel.

At the end of the day, not much bothers Kisu and he's often very hard to offend. Kind, but often aloof, his family has described him as fearless and confident. Both important aspects of living a ninja's life.

History:

Kisu was born to his father Shio and his mother Su, both inhabitants of Kirigakure. Shio was roughly 30 when Kisu was born, he and Su both having him somewhat late compared to many parents. Wanting a better life for their son, as Shio was little more than a struggling fisherman, they chose to send Kisu to the academy. It was there that Kisu's mind flourished, and he received more support from his parents than he could ever ask for. His intellect showed at a very young age, and it didn't take long for him to rise in his classes.

After a few years Kisu was finally ready to graduate, reaching the level of Genin within the Hidden Mist. He had spent some time training with a team, but his wanderlust was far too strong to remain in a squad at his age. For many years he wandered around, often traveling with his father to find work and ryo, learning much of Kirigakure's nature. It was among all that traveling that he gained his knowledge and skills, and only recently he made his return to the ninja arts. Having warmed back up to his genin skills and trained in sensory, taijutsu, and fuinjutsu, he developed his own techniques for fostering all the information he wanted to learn.

Kisu learned of many different types of weapons and combat styles, in addition to techniques of different types and basic variations of the elements. Basic genjutsu triggers and many other things fell under the training of his brain, all of which he carries with him to this day to be used in whatever situation he may encounter. Even now, Kisu still often visits home, and saves his ryo so that he and his family might see better places as he wishes them to. As an added bonus, his travels with his father taught him many of the tricks and trades of fishing and small time business. Most importantly, the skills of bartering and general people skills.

Much of the things Kisu has experienced he would call invaluable, and he looks forward to experiencing more of those things he could never leave behind.
