Celebrimbor

Mission 1:

Why...Why oh why did I allow myself to agree to this? Defend old ladies, sure. Find cats, sure. But oh my this is horrendous. Jin had been roaming the hospital, trying to wipe the image from his mind that had shaped the fecal matter of a sickly or old or both type of patient. It was horrendous what was left in the stools, and he had to clean it up from wherever it was released on accident upon. He understood their issues but wished they'd at least not lose the ability to aim their fecal matter. It wasn't so bad changing the sheets of the bleeding, whether it be wounded or other ailments, for that didn't smell as bad. The only time the blood smelled was if a cancerous patient had any form of cut near their malignant spots. Dashing room to room with maximum efficiency, he did not complain or hesitate to complete the tasks he was given but that didn't exclude nearly barfing every time it had to do with excretion or feces or even vomit...or all of the above. After he was given some rest time, he had finished off in an old lady's room, who cracked a smile at the boy and prevented him from leaving. "Oooh...sonny. You remind me my grandson. So bright, so helpful, so full of hope. The glow you have is as bright as the son...just like my grandson." Cocking his head to the side, Jin had wondered what the lady had meant.

"Oh? You must be proud of your grandson. Is he becoming a ninja?" a grim face washed over the old lady, whom had taken several moments before actually mustering up words. "My grandson died, he was an honorable Chuunin and served this village. But alas, rogue ninja had been the end of him. It was either that or the poison his traitorous team mate gave him. But how could I now?" the old lady chuckled slowly, which had put Jin on edge by the cryptic nature of the laugh. Nodding, he tried thinking of how to react but the old lady just kept on. "It's alright, boy. You don't know me. You don't understand. But you go room to room, cleaning all the grime for us old people or us terminally ill. It's alright. I'm on my final days, and I'll meet my son soon. You'll look back on the day you met some random hag, and you'll reflect on it. That's my last bit of wisdom, so please go...let me nap now." Jin had awkwardly exited the room, continuing on to do more general custodial work. He wiped the mop all along the ground, making sure each movement was precise and deliberate so that he may efficiently clean without it becoming too deep into nightfall. He noticed a nurse standing against the wall, approaching her with softness and crouching down to her level. "Oi, what's wrong ma'am?" looking to the boy, she had just sobbed, unable to speak.

He was patient, awaiting her true answer as he guessed it was something relative to grieving as a nurse has to connect to many patients over their time working at a hospital. "I...I just lost my grandma. I was tending to her these past few years and now she's gone...I don't know if it was my fault or if it was truly her time." Patting the girl on the shoulder, Jin had given her a smile of confirmation which had high hopes for enlightenment. She smiled, tears sliding down her cheeks as the two met gazes. "It's alright. It's never the fault of the care-taker. You tried to heal her, or at least sustain her. That was all you could do, that was all anyone could do." the girl nodded, embracing Jin in a hug as he closed his eyes and gave her warmth, giving her will of fire a bright ignition. She stood, more complete with hope and waltzed off down the hallway. Jin smiled, continuing his custodial duties while whistling. He seemed to enjoy what he learned today, whether it be the surprisingly cryptic old lady or curing a girl's emotional ailment. It seemed he did truly accomplish something, and it was beyond scarring himself mentally with images of wildly-colored stools.
